we had a small get together from work which was meant to be for 20 members initially on the 6th of May 2023 but soon the numbers went up to 32 knowing that the party was being organised @ Colours of India and I should admit Mr. Sandeep the owner of the Restaurant went above and beyond to make our event a GRAND SUCCESS. Nice cosy Hall upstairs for the party with music , Delicious food , service outstanding and not to forget that mouth watering Moong Dal Halwa ,oh oh oh with perfect sweetness in it . we were looked after very well and after all that long working hours @ work all of us felt really relaxed having some fun with friends . Thank you Sandeep ji and we will be HOSTING another one soon with more members as I one who missed very jealous . Thank you once again from our Brooky Team

Their food gets 5 stars, honestly the butter chicken and the lamb mardas was amazing and I am a regular here. Also ordered was garlic cheese naan and that was amazing... my go to Indian place. Saffron rice is delicious and also ordered a mango lassy accompanied by gulab jamun for dessert, which are like a syrup cardamom doughnut. Not in the pics, sorry. The negative was how clean the bathroom is. Clean the bathroom and I'll upgrade this review... plates, glasses, cutlery, seats all clean. The staff has always been good, especially "rock" nickname, he always tries to accommodate.

We invited my family for the Birthday gathering for my Son. I can't tell enough, how good they are. We were 12 people and they were able to handle. Such a wonderful staff and service is awesome. Very courteous and super helpful. And for music they played Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan on my request. Just made the day. As I said I can't tell enough how good they are and tasty somemore! I have been there before, however it was the first time for my parents and they loved it. Very proud of you guys, keep it up. Highly recommended.

My son and niece both are almost same age and they both felt at ease there. Love them smiling.
This Indian restaurant is probably the best one I've been to, so far, in terms of taste. I have started to think that too much salt in Indian food is normal, but turns out it's not after coming to this restaurant. We find the seasoning to be well-balanced. My only comment is on the service. They are under-manned. The food takes a bit too long to arrive. we had to follow-up on several of our dishes a couple of times, and waited almost 30 mins for the dessert. Sometimes everyone is in the kitchen, no one is watching the tables to address service needs. Customers are constantly streaming in to dine-in, and they are also very busy with pick-up. I think they can add more staff, as well as train the waitstaff more so they can be helpful in explaining menu items.
ATTENTION Rip off - Very Disappointing! We (me and my wife) visited them today for dinnert and ordered Karela Masala, Kadahi Paneer, Baigan ka Bhartha,Tandoori Roti and Gajjar Halwa. We both feels food tasted terrible, visit was waste of our money as well as time. Karala masala was too hard to chew (I suspect it was not a real karala but a packet karala that too poorly cooked). Kadahi paneer and Baigan ka bhartha was too salty and oily, roti was partially cooked. Our dessert Gajjar ka halwa was very colourful (looking unnatural). We think it was made from Gajjar powder-as it looked and tasted like a custard - we will not be going back or ordering from them again.

I have been going to their grocery store for quite a few years and I tend to pickup samosas, kachories and bread pakoras for starters. The quality of these snacks was really good before the restaurant was setup. But since the restaurant has been opened, quality has deteriorated. First it was just the bread pakoras, but now can't predict the quality of kachoris and samosas also. This morning I bought 2 samosas and 2 kachoris. Only one samosa was nice enough to eat, the other was unevenly fried and full of oil. But the kachoris were literally awful. Almost half the size of the usual, they were full of oil. The one in the photo shows how much oil is still there. I have already changed the paper below this kachori twice.
We had hosted our son’s first bday party here. Everything was superb. Everyone loved the food. The owner was very friendly and ready to help by all means. The hall was available for decoration from morning 7:30am. Overall a really great experience.

Parking
Parking is free on the side roads and it was really helpful for our party. All our guests could easily get the parking. The restaurant has about 5 parking spots inside.
Kid-friendliness
For our party they provided additional food (chicken noodles - less spicy) for kids in addition to the food we ordered for the adults.
We ordered tandoori chicken and paneer kadhai with garlic naan, cheese naan these dish was very tasty and well presented. But the uttapam and masala dosa wasn't well cooked also the dosa was broken and was served in the plate. Cheese dosa had potato as well as little cheese in it. Would definitely recommend north indian and Punjabi cuisine here. Big No No to dosa's.

Delicious food, spices and flavours were amazing. Not overly oily and reasonable pricing for such high quality food. Easily one of, if not the best Indian restaurants I've eaten at, and very unassuming. The waiter Rok was a friendly and welcoming host. Would happily go back anytime Indian food was on my mind.

A nice quiet dinner at 7:30pm. The atmosphere was lovely and the course meal we had was delicious. A large amount of curry choices and friendly service from the staff. Lassi was a nice thick consistency although a little sweet. The highlight would definitely be the gulab as it was made fresh and is not something to miss out on.

Had a lovely lunch there on Monday. Ordered lamb and chicken dishes which are wonderful and the meat were tenderly cooked. Our rice and naan are great too. Atmosphere is vastly improved once they turned on the lights (we went there at 1pm on Monday, they had their lights off and no customers at the time). We enjoyed it overall.

Rakesh has been serving my partner and I and at the Colors of India for almost a year now, he never fails to put a smile on our faces, remembering us and our order and even recommending new dishes to try. The food is excellent with the onion Baji being the best I’ve ever tasted. Butter chicken is a safe bet and super rich. 10/10 would recommended Colors of India for your next take away or dine in. Thank you Rakesh.

Couldn't ask for more. The food was fast & everything was delicious & made mild as asked. The service was the friendliest I think I have ever experienced. Roc is the best. He even played happy birthday on the speakers for my daughter. Definitely my No. 1 for Indian food in Parramatta.

We attended a party recently with work friends, I must say it was an excellent eating experience, from walking in the door and being greeted by employee. Meals were served hot and excellent taste. Staff were very friendly and helpful. No complaints at all. Food is 5 star rating. I will recommend anyone to visit and experience the best indian food available in Sydney. We will also return for sure. Cheers

We had ordered Samosas for Morning Tea at work. The Samosas were amazing in taste and size. Thank you Team Sandeep and Colors of India Restaurant for the amazing service, food and delivery options. We will definitely be back with another order. We would like to thank you for taking such a large order, as most restaurants in Harris Park had said our order was too big for 60 Samosas.

Fresh and flavoursome Indian food in the heart of Parramatta’s CBD. They have something for everyone on their menu. Mild, contemporary dishes and more traditional dishes for those who prefer it spicy. Every dish smells delicious and is full of healthy veggies and proteins. Their staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive. They also have a function room upstairs and very spacious seating. We loved it!

Parramatta has a wealth of dining choices, but this Indian restaurant is a cut above the rest. Their starters are a treat to the palate, and their curries? Simply unmatched. I always look forward to my next visit. A must-try for those craving genuine Indian tastes.

We came here about 4 years ago and it was great. It's a long trip for us but we did it again tonight and it was amazing. The butter chicken was ridiculously good, the chicken vindaloo was hot but just right, lamb korma just perfect. The place has been renovated, the naan were amazing, what a meal and we will be coming back again. Varoon was very attentive and madpe it a great experience

I was at this restaurant for breakfast. The food has no taste and the waitress was so rude and serving us like doing some favour on us. The customer service was zero and I have to go and ask them for everything. I was seating there and no one came to provide us menu. I will give them negative rating.

We hosted a birthday party last week and their food and customer service was excellent. We got positive feedback from all our guests and they even reminded me to give a positive feedback to the restaurant :) . I would like to thank Ankush who was really helpful and has always provided service with a smile. I would love to recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking to conduct a birthday party.
The Aloo Sabji (potato curry), and Chana Masala were both delicious and I'd gladly go back for either dish. I enjoyed the Puri though they were a bit dry. However the Dal Makhani had a paste-like texture and was terribly over salted, I couldn't finish it. We ordered delivery and though it was for about 10 people it took 1h20 which is very slow, given we were only 10mins drive from the restaurant.
All Sydney Siders and chaat lovers, you must go to this place!! I have tried almost all their chaats and fast food items..and love all of them Tastes on point everytime I visit them! No. 1 on the list for me is Dahi puri followed by Pani puri But all their chaats and pav bhaji is really good Haven't tried their main course and Dosas so far, so can't say about that.
Amazing food, wonderful service and great atmosphere. Dined here with my family and highly recommend this restaurant- make a booking or order a takeaway you wont regret it!

Got take away on a Saturday night. Food was delicious. Spicy and each dish was significantly different to each other. They did forget one dish though and I called to let them know. They delivered that one dish the next day and gave another dish plus bread to make up for that which was going above and beyond and really great. Will be ordering from there again for sure.
We were group of 30+ wat a great Service they provided. Delicious food. I was late but they still served me Entrees. Set dishes were picked beforehand buy they provided us extra dishes. Next get together is definitely there. Thank you...

Indian food here is not compromised in terms of flavours and ingredients. Food is totally less spicy. Highly recommended for those who prefers non spicy Indian food. Good variety of chaat is available too. A bit expensive than the Indian restaurant of Harris park. But good in portion size.

I have tried a lot of Indian restaurants outside India. Some are really good but only a rare few offer authentic Indian taste.Colours of India is one such restaurant. Tried Malai Kofta, Dal makhni, Chaat and samosa. I specially liked the tandoori butter roti- was crispy just right!

Best Indian food flavour in all of Sydney! The mixed non-veg platter selection of different tandoori items was something else! The gravies too are decent as is the naan. Be kind as businesses continue to cope with staff shortages. Park in the nearby streets and shop at the adjoining well stocked indian shop too.

A lot lot better than I expected!!! Starting with super delicious mango lassi with a subtle spice taste. The Tandoori Chicken and Masala Dosa were excellent and the staff were attentive and timely. A great meal and I will be back, well done Colors of India!
Had lunch with friends we hadn't met in years on a week day in May 2022. Had the restaurant to ourselves, easy parking and excellent vegetarian options. Service was good and the food super tasty. Will certainly be back when we return to Sydney.
Have eaten in here once and ordered takeaway many many times. Every time the food is delicious, efficient service, and service was also great when dining in. We’re trying to make our way through everything on the menu because it’s so good
We had the party upstairs with 35 people (6th May )Entree ( not enough portions)but food presentation was good including service from the staff and good Bluetooth music system But the quantity of food was not even close what We expect,
My family thoroughly enjoyed the Indian food here. The waitress patiently explain the menu and took our order. The dishes were full of flavour and generous in portion. The bread was hot and crisp. Definitely worth the visit.
The food is good with smaller size than other Indian restaurants. The service is pretty slow if you sit at corner, nobody serve you until you go to the reception by yourself, kind of I have served myself except order. …
The restaurant is keeping up to it’s name ‘Colors of India’ by adding too much food colouring in the curries that my fingers are orange even after washing thrice. Very unhygienic. Sorry won’t try again here ever. Thanks
This is by far the best Indian restaurant in Parramatta, the food quality was excellent, staff were great, i would highly recommend Colors of India to anyone who wants a great experience matched with a fantastic taste.

Over priced dishes and very sweet paneer dishes. Not at all authentic Indian cuisine. Dishes lack flavours and aroma and full of orange food colour. Not worth going again. Waste of money.
