I have been with CBA since I was a kid. Recently I moved my loans over to another bank because CBA could not give me a competitive interest rate. I went to the Southland branch to close my credit card and bank account that I wasn't using but they were still charging me fees for... The Branch Manager said she would waive the fees for me if I would consider returning back to CBA - I did prefer to come back to CBA so agreed to discuss with their lending specialist. They again were unable to provide a competitive interest rate. So fast forward a year, I was charged $250 fee for a credit card that I wasn't using and then a $20 late fee because I wasn't using the account and didn't realise I had been charged anything. I returned to Southland Branch to ask for a refund of these fees since I clearly wasn't using them and that I was willing to move my loans back to CBA if they could provide me with a better interest rate. The Branch Manager had no decency or care that I was a long-term customer and looking to bring my loans back, she wouldn't refund these stupid fees. She lost the potential of me returning with my multiple large home loans for the sake of a $250 fee & left me extremely frustrated.... Poor customer service and poor priorities.

The branch changed their setup earlier this year, now there are no tellers, and all customers have to queue for 30-90min to see a customer relationship manager, in their private office - this show, congested approach is inefficient and limits the number of customers they can see. Most people are asked to try using the Netbank or phone bank first, because they're understaffed. CBA website tells you to setup Netbank by calling the 13 number 24/7, but if you call outside business hours won't actually get through, and during business hours we were cut off many times while waiting on hold - they have an AU call centre but perhaps that's why it's so dire, with hold times averaging 45-60min! The simplest of banking can be done in minutes with other banks like StG/BofM, but takes forever with CBA. Australia's biggest bank, in the top 10 most profitable worldwide, but they don't spend a dime on customer service.

We went to CBA Southland branch for a simple term deposit release this morning. Staff Justine said the waiting time was10 mins but we waited for more than 40 mins and still no one even looked at us. Justine was taking customers came later than us. We ended up have to leave to pick up our son from school without the job done. More than 40mins precious time in a sunny Saturday morning was wasted on an empty promise. As a loyal customer with CBA for more than 16 years, the experience was deeply disappointing. Management should know how their loyal customers were treated by staff who can’t keep their own promises

When you ring they don't answer the phone, just give you a recorded message saying they will call back before the close of business. When you go to the bank with anything with other than a routine transaction you have to wait to see a specialist. I just wanted to know what the interest rates on the term deposits were. Every other bank at Southland was able to give me that information straight away (no waiting). At CBA Southland I was told to wait until a specialist was available. Time is precious, but obviously not to the CBA - they do not respect their customer's time.

I’d just like to thank staff member Soula at CBA Southland branch, what a legend! Despite the long queues and everybody wanting their issue dealt with right away, she remained professional, courteous and was most helpful. She has the ability to put customers at ease straight away and while my wife and I were waiting for a loan specialist, I watched her deal with a variety of irate, inpatient and even downright rude people. Not once did she flinch but instead she calmed and assured customers she could help. CBA , Soula is an absolute credit to your organisation!

What a greedy arrogant bank! I have been banking with Commonwealth Bank for 24 years and I have been a shareholder for over 10 years, but that means nothing to this bank! They are not willing to mach interest rates of their competitors and when I discussed new home loan rates I was promised rates that I did not get. I contacted the branch, but have not received any reply. Obviously I am just a number. Well, guess what? I am switching and selling the shares as well. You have lost me forever!

The Lady on Entry is Amazing Human Being, I think her name was Niks, she has amazing People skill, I have asked for my home loan renewal she guided me very well with smile even i have noticed another customer was getting rude with her before me , she didnt lose her Cool and briliantly attended me and took me to the home loan specilist Ms Yushika , She helped me with her expertise and my home loan renewal was done in less the an hour.. Keep up the Good work Guys

Pretty happy with the service we get at this branch. Walked in a few months ago with a business enquiry and ended up switching all our products over. Approvals are fast, service is quick, technology is amazing. Support is outstanding. Most things we do via the app and never fails. Most of the time we make an appoinment before walking in for the things we need to do face to face. We've banked with ANZ and NAB before, I'm so glad we changed to Commbank.

I’m a very patient person, but I cannot recommend Commonwealth bank as a whole (not solely this branch as the people are nice) any less. Terrible to deal with, 30 mins on the phone to change simple things, then being told to go into a branch but you can’t get an appointment. Try ANZ if you’re looking for a bank - outstanding customer service in comparison.

Monday 2pm its busy but not so busy and I can understand everyone are busy. First attended person Anita needs to be more aware of the people in the que. Taking her sweet time to handle enquires and ignoring other people who are waiting. 30mins only 2 people attended. Mr/Ms Manager, needs to be looked at how every customer get attended.

I,m disgusted that commbank invested nearly $3.9 billion into polluting fossil fuels last year. Australians deserve clean air and a living Great Barrier Reef. commbank needs to stop funding coal now. I am a commbank customer and have been for five years, this will come to an end soon if commbank does not change its ways.

Worst service ever seen in compare to another branch’s, lady in front attending the selective customers, tried multiple times for attention but she already has something in my mind not to attend some selected people. I waited long time in queue with my 4 year son and had to leave without being done anything.

Staff are always very friendly and helpful. I have found even though the branch closes early they remember you the next day and are happy to help you out instantly. The machines are sometimes down but it isn't the staff at fault. Really happy with this branch thank you

Worst commbank location I have ever had to use. Every time I need change, without a doubt the change machine is broken and I can’t get the coins I need from the counter. Every other commbank I’ve been to have been helpful and pleasant with functional machines.

Need to hire more staff or open longer on Saturday. We were turned away from opening a bank account 45 minutes before they close at 2pm, because they don't have enough staff to service all the people waiting already before closing time. Waste of our time!

Appalling experience, after decades with Commonwealth Bank we are switching to a community bank, the customer service with CBA has nosedived in the last few years and continues to decline. Everything is wrong with it, unskilled staff

The staff at this branch is very incompetent and arrogant. I have been told to comeback twice and yet still waiting for an hour. The woman at the front lied and still wojt admit it. No customer should trust this branch at all cost.

Change machines are now blocked, and only work for business account. I'll be closing my accounts and looking for a better bank. Do not recommend CommBank.
