Cook Park is a beautiful coastal park located in the suburb of Ramsgate. It is a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike, offering a range of recreational activities and amenities for visitors to enjoy. The park is home to a variety of lush trees and plants, providing a tranquil and serene atmosphere for visitors to relax and unwind in. However, despite its many charms, there is one notable drawback to Cook Park - the gentlemens' toilets have no soap. This can be a bit of a nuisance for those who are looking to wash their hands after using the facilities, and it is something that the park management should definitely look into addressing. Despite this issue, Cook Park remains a beloved destination for many, and its stunning natural beauty, combined with its convenient location and diverse range of amenities, make it well worth a visit.

Lovely quiet beaches in the week days to just to seat, relax, have a swim or just enjoy the breeze ,and watch the sunset or planes. So close and easy to get to. The beaches are not patrolled so exercise caution when swimming, relatively calm safe beaches with not much waves. Kite surfing beach close by ,always good to watch the Kite surfers doing their stuff on windy days. Can be hard to find parking on hot summer weekends ,so visit early in the day or come in the late afternoon when beach goers are leaving. Even though parking maybe full ,the beach is hardly ever crowded like say Bondi.
Playground
Kids playground nearby
Restrooms
Two unisex toilets nearby plus showes on the outside
Picnic area
A few picnic tables and benches scattered around the area

If you're looking for a nice place to relax, to go for a walk and cool down, Cook Park is the place to be. Cook Park offers you amazing views with the Beaches on the side, a beautiful trail that goes from San Souci up to Brighton-Le-Sands that you can go by foot or ride your bike. There are a plenty of spots for Picnic along this stretch, including Playgrounds. There are also plenty of spots for fishing. It can get very busy, especially on Summer evenings at this park but gives you that amazing family and friend vibes all around you. Car Park is also very accessible and plenty of spots for parking.

This park is clean, it had beautiful views and is so big! It’s got the beach/ocean view! So relaxing to watch the waves and the skies. It is a nice spot to chill out with family or friends! We had a picnic here in the evening until sunset! There are toilets not I didn’t check it out to see if it was open or clean. I am not sure if people swim in the warmer days! But it’s a nice little beach. Definitely worth a visit.

Amazing spot with a somewhat evil Disney character charm. I've always described these trees like broccolini. Still, grab a spot in the shade in summer or Sun in winter. Great for picnics and kids play areas which are in abundance. There is a walking/running track along the beach which is picturesque. Anytime of the year this place is beautiful..

  • maisha mahjabeen

Loved this place!! Went there with friends. It was a bit difficult to get the parking spot in weekend but I guess we were lucky to get one. The public bbq place was good. You can also use charcoal to bbq here. There are water taps in places to get rid of the fire. Overall good place to chill with family or friends.

There is lots of parking, access to public toilets, direct beach access and options to have a picnic on the picnic tables or on the ground. There is also a monument statue and a playground for the kids and the park is a long strip of grass running parallel to a shared bike path. It is a great option for a picnic.

  • lachlan harris

Cycle here, or drive and wander underneath the canopy. A small climbing playground for the kids is alongside a majestic tree canopied parkland. And Botany Bay adjoins. Bring the snacks and a rug and you can sit and watch the A330s or A380s straddle belly down over the bay and into Kingsford Smith. Worth a stop.

  • Annalise Broadway

What a great place to enjoy beautiful botany bay. Public loo and good car parking. Swimming fishing picnics walking path bike riding kids parks etc. Views of the city Port botany and the Heads of kurnell and la perouse. You can also see south to cronulla too. Night or day it's a great spot to stop.

If you are looking for inspiration and for some time out, you should head to the beach in that area... You simply unlock your mind and drown in the place and it's magic... I normally go there to walk and just reflect and somehow declutter my mind from all what is life is presenting to us daily.

  • Jessica Robinson

I love this spot for a walk on the path or beach. There is a playground for the kids. There is a nice bike path. Great spot for a picnic or coffee with a glorious view of the planes taking off and landing with the iconic Sydney skyline as a backdrop. So lucky to live in this place!

The playground up by the road is ok, the sand at nearby beach area had 5-6 rats we saw!! In the bushes and weren’t afraid to come out. Bit put off while eating lunch .. we left pretty quick. Toilets were not that nice either :( overall not worth it

  • Nestor Harilaou

Truly, I don't what to say about this park. It has been a staple of my life growing up here in Monterey and I remember my mum would take me here all the time to play ball and we would buy fish and chips from wherever she bought em from and

Nicely landscaped, clean, safe and with plenty of bins. There are also toilets and picnic facilities and ample parking. Very nice for an evening stroll or weekend picnic. The only improvement could be doggy bag dispensers.

Big kids playground there with lots of picnic tables. Public toilets nearby and Ramsgate Coles is not far across the road if any last minute supplies are needed. As with much of this area, there is a great water view.
