Cook Park is a beautiful coastal park located in the suburb of Ramsgate. It is a popular destination for both locals and tourists alike, offering a range of recreational activities and amenities for visitors to enjoy. The park is home to a variety of lush trees and plants, providing a tranquil and serene atmosphere for visitors to relax and unwind in. However, despite its many charms, there is one notable drawback to Cook Park - the gentlemens' toilets have no soap. This can be a bit of a nuisance for those who are looking to wash their hands after using the facilities, and it is something that the park management should definitely look into addressing. Despite this issue, Cook Park remains a beloved destination for many, and its stunning natural beauty, combined with its convenient location and diverse range of amenities, make it well worth a visit.

Lovely quiet beaches in the week days to just to seat, relax, have a swim or just enjoy the breeze ,and watch the sunset or planes. So close and easy to get to. The beaches are not patrolled so exercise caution when swimming, relatively calm safe beaches with not much waves. Kite surfing beach close by ,always good to watch the Kite surfers doing their stuff on windy days. Can be hard to find parking on hot summer weekends ,so visit early in the day or come in the late afternoon when beach goers are leaving. Even though parking maybe full ,the beach is hardly ever crowded like say Bondi.
Playground
Kids playground nearby
Restrooms
Two unisex toilets nearby plus showes on the outside
Picnic area
A few picnic tables and benches scattered around the area

This park is clean, it had beautiful views and is so big! It’s got the beach/ocean view! So relaxing to watch the waves and the skies. It is a nice spot to chill out with family or friends! We had a picnic here in the evening until sunset! There are toilets not I didn’t check it out to see if it was open or clean. I am not sure if people swim in the warmer days! But it’s a nice little beach. Definitely worth a visit.
Amazing spot with a somewhat evil Disney character charm. I've always described these trees like broccolini. Still, grab a spot in the shade in summer or Sun in winter. Great for picnics and kids play areas which are in abundance. There is a walking/running track along the beach which is picturesque. Anytime of the year this place is beautiful..
Loved this place!! Went there with friends. It was a bit difficult to get the parking spot in weekend but I guess we were lucky to get one. The public bbq place was good. You can also use charcoal to bbq here. There are water taps in places to get rid of the fire. Overall good place to chill with family or friends.
There is lots of parking, access to public toilets, direct beach access and options to have a picnic on the picnic tables or on the ground. There is also a monument statue and a playground for the kids and the park is a long strip of grass running parallel to a shared bike path. It is a great option for a picnic.
Cycle here, or drive and wander underneath the canopy. A small climbing playground for the kids is alongside a majestic tree canopied parkland. And Botany Bay adjoins. Bring the snacks and a rug and you can sit and watch the A330s or A380s straddle belly down over the bay and into Kingsford Smith. Worth a stop.
What a great place to enjoy beautiful botany bay. Public loo and good car parking. Swimming fishing picnics walking path bike riding kids parks etc. Views of the city Port botany and the Heads of kurnell and la perouse. You can also see south to cronulla too. Night or day it's a great spot to stop.
If you are looking for inspiration and for some time out, you should head to the beach in that area... You simply unlock your mind and drown in the place and it's magic... I normally go there to walk and just reflect and somehow declutter my mind from all what is life is presenting to us daily.
I love this spot for a walk on the path or beach. There is a playground for the kids. There is a nice bike path. Great spot for a picnic or coffee with a glorious view of the planes taking off and landing with the iconic Sydney skyline as a backdrop. So lucky to live in this place!
Cook Park is fabulous. Great park right on the beach, spectacular. Safe environment for swimming, suitable for all ages. Cafe at the park. Plenty of shade, huge trees. Great for Barbaques...parking available. Fun place to be. Especially if you like playing games.
I love Cook Parkbcos it's a beautiful spot 4 relaxing, going 4 a walk & having a picnic. U can also go 4 a swim. There is also a beautiful view of the city from there. U can see the planes taking off & landing. U can see botany Bay & kurnell from there 2.
The playground up by the road is ok, the sand at nearby beach area had 5-6 rats we saw!! In the bushes and weren’t afraid to come out. Bit put off while eating lunch .. we left pretty quick. Toilets were not that nice either :( overall not worth it
Truly, I don't what to say about this park. It has been a staple of my life growing up here in Monterey and I remember my mum would take me here all the time to play ball and we would buy fish and chips from wherever she bought em from and
A great place to walk along the foreshore, ride a bike, go to the beach, fish, or just relax under the beautiful pine trees. Heaps of carparking and toilet facilities. There are shops across the Grande Parade. A really nice place to visit.
Excellent Place for single and family visitors with well maintained space, BBQ, Drinking water, kids play zone with swings and slides, spacious car park, covered with trees, overall a beautiful strech to relax and enjoy nature.
Nicely landscaped, clean, safe and with plenty of bins. There are also toilets and picnic facilities and ample parking. Very nice for an evening stroll or weekend picnic. The only improvement could be doggy bag dispensers.
Big kids playground there with lots of picnic tables. Public toilets nearby and Ramsgate Coles is not far across the road if any last minute supplies are needed. As with much of this area, there is a great water view.
Great place to go for a picnic, walk along the coast or swim. Lots of shops restaurants & coffee shops in the area. The historical Botany Bay where Captain Cook & the Endeavor entered during Australias discovery.
A good place to take your family and enjoy your breakfast near to the beach. You can walk along the coast, ride the bike or relaxed and make BBQ. Easy to find family friendly atmosphere and suitable for kids.
You can spend few hours here, good place for a walk or jogging on the walking track. Also have beach which you can take off your shoes and walk on it, have few bench to sit to rest as well. More
Always a family favourite. With ample areas for your tent because it can be a bit windy. Above average cleanliness too. Fantastic, I highly recommend it as a nice family orientated beach Park.
Beautiful big trees making it feel like a small slice of a forest right inbetween a busy road and crystal clear beach. Even spotted a Rainbow Lorikeet perched up in a tree above.
Nice pathway for walking or running alongside the beach. Good size park as well for activities or picnic. Occasionally there are good markets and also fairground attractions.
Peaceful on a weekday. I spent 7 years in a wheelchair.. this is only 3rd time to leave home without wheelchair. Managed just fine. Google Tom Lin stroke for youtube videos
Beautiful, a lovely place for families, singles and couples to enjoy a stunning part of Sydney. Lots of shade for those of us who burn like toast. Sunset can be stunning.
Any park is a friend of mine! I love parks! This is a nice big park that looks out over the water. Perfect to sit and chill, have a picnic... great spot for families!
We love the view here, the walk and the playground. A range of cafes and restaurants some close some in walking distance. The trees are absolutely beautiful here.
Beautiful place for morning or day walk, family day out, barbecue or exercise. Ample of parking. Good toilet facilities and shed. Also awesome place for surfing.
Great foreshore walk, kids rode bikes and scooters and had fun on the equipment. Played on the beach and water, not too busy. Great part of Sydney.
The park located straight next to the water and has many sheltered areas. The park has toilets and showers. Nice place for swimming and picnic.
Beautiful amalgamation of nature and man-made. Pine trees are treat to watch. Fresh air, peaceful and ample space for family outing. Great!
Nice beach and picnic area with playground for the kids but hard to get parking. I suggest come early if you want to have parking nearby.
Nice beach has parking area, next to it has a park which is really useful for kids. Beach is quite nice and spacious for walking around.
Cook Park is a popular destination for families and individuals looking to enjoy a day outdoors . don't forget park your car just nearby
Amazing place for a Barbie and for the kids to play.. the beach is clean and the view is beautiful... definetly worth visiting …
It's a nice place when the sun's out! Unfortunately, there seems to be some rubbish left by people there which is quite upsetting!
Location is good, parking sometimes is a struggle n lack of shade around the walk. Apart from these small caveats, good park.
Morning 6AM is beautiful. Wit sunrise. But park is not nice with rubbish all over. Local community not cleaning after self.
This is a lovely place to picnic in warmer weather. Lots of shade without low branches etc interfering from the trees.
Lovely bayside park with good walking and cycling paths. Great spot to watch the kite surfers on a windy day!
Morning walk to this beautiful park, we sat had our coffee and grounded ourselves with beautiful big trees.
This is one of the nice place for kids to play. It’s near to beach area. Nice place for walk and cycling.
Lovely beach, clean, park nearby, new toilets, beautiful views and lots of convenient parking.
Super clean and white sand! Easy parking access too. And a nice view of the planes/ airport
