I do not recommend anyone using this funeral home as they are extremely disorganized and lack empathy. They have minimal staff and the staff that are available are unreachable and inconsistent with what they say. The director (Anne) that we dealt with was very kind, but it was evident that she was dealing with too many families and did not have enough time to be thorough. We had more issues then we can possibly explain, but to give you an idea, here are some of the problems we faced: 1) We specifically asked for the funeral room to remain closed until we set up flowers, candles etc. We arrived an hour early to ensure we had time to set up but the staff ignored our requests and seated guests while we were setting up. 2) The staff did not have enough stands for our flowers (even though I asked for them during booking) so we were forced to use large tables, that we had to carry in! 3) We were consistently rushed the day of the funeral. It felt as though we were being pushed out of the building even though we had time remaining for the funeral services. 4) No one asked us what we wanted done with the flowers, or if we needed help taking things out of the service (such as pictures, keepsakes etc.) Not a single staff member spoke to us after the service; except the individual asking for payment. 5) There was zero follow-up after the ceremony. They didn't even call us to notify us that the final paperwork, and ashes were ready for pick up. At the end of the day, it is clear that this funeral home is only concerned with business and not customer satisfaction. They may be more budget friendly than others, but the customer service is deplorable. When a family is dealing with grief and loss, the last thing the family needs is an inconsiderate funeral home that makes things more difficult. I would recommend paying a little extra money and taking your loved one elsewhere.

Prior to my father-in-laws passing I called CHCFS to find the ins and outs as to how the whole process worked. Shawn spent a great deal of time answering my questions and patiently explained all the steps even though some of my questions might have seemed impertinent - but to which I genuinely wanted answers. When the time came, I had no hesitation in calling CHCFS. The transfer-service arrived in a timely fashion and proceeded to collect the deceased exactly as described by Shawn. The vehicle was clean yet inconspicuous, and the two attending staff were dressed in professional yet respectful clothing. They handled my father-in-law with care and dignity. Shawn and Lindsey have returned phone calls in a timely fashion and the experience from start to finish for me and my wife has been one of complete professionalism. As executor of the estate my wife found exceptional benefit in the after-care provided by Shawn in completing and submitting the necessary forms to government bodies. CHCFS also provided a fantastic 'executor kit' that includes checklists, forms and information that has proved extremely useful. Overall, a far better experience than we could have ever hoped for. Most affordable place to hold a service/cremation. My father just passed away, and Shawn/Mark’s team helped our family out in every single step. From setting up the dates, to holding my fathers body with NO charge unlike other places. Everything was easy to do, even during a pandemic. The place itself was very modern, unlike other funeral homes. The packages they offer was very affordable + the casket which other places would overcharge. I would highly recommend this place because of the reasons that I stated above. This funeral home actually cares about families and want to help them. It is difficult when you have to plan a funeral but at country hills crematorium, they made the process very easy and comfortable. Tina was very helpful and supportive throughout the entire process. We had all the information and resources available to us. I could not express how thankful I am that they treated my family well, especially my mom (whom passed away). We would definitely recommend anyone who has a loss in their family to look into this place. They provided us with the costs (no hidden fees) and what to expect, what to prepare and was ready for any surprises/ sudden changes that arise during the time. I would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Mark Iwaniszyn for his help with the funeral arrangements for my late mother who recently passed away. He went above and beyond for our family during this difficult time, assisting us with many official funeral matters and procedures here in Calgary as well as in Poland. Mr. Iwaniszyn was very quick in his replies, allowing everything to be taken care of in a very timely manner. This included a cremation certificate, which was necessary to obtain a permit to transport my mother's ashes to Poland. This significantly facilitated and accelerated obtaining the consent from Poland and for that, the entire family is very grateful to Mr. Iwaniszyn.

I would highly recommend using the services at Country Hills Crematorium. We had a professional and personal experience when our Dad passed suddenly. I learned a lot and I like the level of intimacy having the funeral home and crematorium in the same building. Instead of being shipped away to an unknown centre for cremation we know exactly where and when our loved one was cremated. It gave me some assurance meeting the folks who would be doing the process. We even got to meet the staff member who would go to the hospital to retrieve our loved ones remains. I learned a lot from Tina and all the staff and would not hesitate to recommend their services to a loved one.

Having a death in the family is never easy but the team at County Hills Crematorium and Funeral Services went above and beyond to help my family plan our grandmother's celebration of life/funeral. The staff was understanding, patient and extremely helpful in guiding us through the process. With the current COVID regulations having limited guests, they provided us a live stream link for our family to watch from all over Canada and the United States. We are extremely thankful for the staff at Country Hills Crematorium & Funeral Services.

Words cannot describe how satisfied my family and I are with Country Hills Crematorium. Our arranger, allowed us to mourn the loss of my aunt without any stress by facilitating the entire process.The viewing and funeral were beautifully organized and exceeded our expectations. We did not have to worry about anything during the service. I am so grateful for the amazing service we received and am sure my aunt would have been so happy at how we celebrated her life and laid her to rest. A million thank you’s to all the staff.

A few weeks ago we lost a close family friend/brother figure. Upon arriving at the funeral home for the private viewing, my husband, sister in law and her husband were greeted by the new manager of the facility (who coincidentally also helped us with my father in laws funeral 2 1/2yrs ago). This is a great place for peace of life services. The staff here is amazingly patient and helpful. They guided us through the entire process and were very accommodating with everything. Services are very well priced too. I recommend them very strongly to everyone dealing with the loss of a loved one. It still is very painful to say goodbye but with these people, you are in good hands.

I would highly recommend Country Hills Crematorium to anyone at their difficult time. My experience with Calgary Crematorium was nothing less than fantastic. The process was simple and they were accommodating all of our requests. Thanks to Tina and the team for fabulous service during a difficult time. Everything was smooth as silk, done right, and in a most reassuring manner. Calls and emails were responded to very quickly, and I never felt pressured to buy or do anything. Easily accessible from both the Stoney Trail ring road and Deerfoot highway 2. Plenty of free parking.

I had a wonderful experience with this crematorium. Everyone was very respectful, very understanding, everything was handled with care. Payments were done when appropriate and were not pushed or requested heavily. The team here truly did an amazing job with the handling of my father. Thank you, I couldn’t recommended them enough.

Tina Pierson was an angel the entire process and I cannot thank her and the rest of the staff enough for their service. The staff were wonderful, the facility was incredibly clean and professional, in the worst of our grief they were truly a light.

The facility is clean and the staff are very understanding. We had the pleasure of working with Jyoti and Mark during a time when we felt our world collapsed. They were supportive and treated our loved ones with respect.

You might find other funeral homes for a few $100 less. However if you want quality and professional service then choose this place. They do a lot of Sikh funerals so they are well aware of our traditions.
