On June 9th 2022 we decided to stop in Cracker Barrel on Charlotte Ave to have some lunch since we had a gift card. When we got to the register the gift card did not work. We got a song and dance about gift cards getting compromised by hackers. This is not the first time we have had a problem with a gift card at this location. We had a gift card I received for doing some work for a church I attended and when we tried to use it it did not work. So I turned it back into the church and was given a new card that I was assured would work. It still did not work and was told I needed to call customer service on back of the card. Wrong answer. What should have happened was a manager being summoned to the register and the meal comped since this is a second time it had happened. So far I am out 80 dollars for meals I had a 50 dollar gift card for. Now lets get to the overall experience. Once we got seated we ordered drinks that took forever to get to us. The food was not up to the standards to what I am use to from cracker barrel. Was told by the waitress that her and another girl were the only ones on the floor. Where were the managers? Couldn't they have at least been on the floor helping with drink refills and took that much off the waitresses? I can assure you of two things. Cracker Barrel will not care about this post or the actions of this unit today. I can also assure you I have spent my last dime in Cracker Barrel. Not to worry about that I never went often anyway. I guess there are three things I can assure you Cracker Barrel does not care if I ever come back because there are enough people that do that will make me unimportant.

We went to this location on our way home from vacation and should have known at the very beginning that this was going to be a bad experience. Started off waiting for a while for our server to even come and ask for drinks, by the time someone came, we were already ready to order food as well. Our server might have been having a bad day, but she was in no way happy to be there. Took way to long for us to get our drinks, and then another server came up and told us she would be taking care of us from then on (I’m assuming our other servers shift was over.) Our food came out and was good, second server was nice, but then once we were done we couldn’t find our server to get our check. I took my son to the bathroom, walked around the toy area, and even sat out on the rocking chairs, while my husband continued to wait and find our server to get the check. Eventually, I went back into the dining area and just told my husband to come up to the cashier and maybe she could find our ticket. We stood in line, the lady at the cash register was having trouble ringing up someone in front of us (no big deal, it happens) while standing there we saw a man come in and ask for his “to go” order, that had apparently gotten misplaced because nobody could find it. Another man got up from his table to ask his server about their to go bags, because she had forgotten them. And then finally we we’re able to check out. Everyone working there just seemed scrambled. It didn’t look like they were short staffed, but it did look like every employee had no clue why was going on. By far the worst Cracker Barrel we have ever been to.

Two stars for very poor customer service. The food, once we finally got it, was quite good. Walked in to place an order to go because no one would answer the phone. I also attempted to order via the app as well as the online order site, but both kept looping me back to the previous page, losing my order in the process, and I would had to start all over again. Waited for about 20 to 30 minutes after I ordered before they finally brought my food out. Three different employees noticed that I had been waiting an extremely long time and checked on the order for me, but only one actually came back to tell me anything. He was bringing out the order for a lady who came in five minutes after I ordered. He told me that they were finishing it up and they would just be a few minutes. Ten minutes later, still no food. I thought that since I ordered the special of the day that it would surely be quick to fill. My main complaint is that only one employee came out to fill me in, and that was only because he was bringing out another order and he didn’t really tell me anything.. Here’s where a wise employee would make a big difference. Just someone to come out and let me know what the problem was. Two employees went to check but never came back. Politeness and courtesy go a long way in customer relations.

I met a couple of friends at the Cracker Barrel in West Nashville at 9:30am on Saturday 12/10/21. It took almost an hour to be seated (and it wasn't extremely crowded) and over an hour to get our food!! When we finally got the food, it was cold and we could tell it had been on the plates/in the bowls for quite some time. The waitress insisted it wasn't her fault. When it was time to pay the bill, there was only one register open and we waited another 15 minutes. While we were waiting to pay, I walked with my young son to find the candy he wanted & the manager followed us around and said we had to use a basket when we ONLY had 2 items, insinuating she thought we were going to steal something....what she should have been doing was ringing people up or running food?!? It was Weird. She finally opened a register up & people started getting checked out. When I purchase our items and paid for the horrible food, that manager checked us out. I told her that the service and food was not good, not to mention the strange treatment as we shopped. This was, hands down, the worst 2.5 hour restaurant dining experience that I can recall in decades.

Once every 4-5 months I make the mistake of coming back here. Tonight was no different. I knew it would take forever bc this CrackerBarrel has historically Always been the slowest seating in the greater Nashville area. My hankering for the grilled chicken tenders gets the best of me sometimes, and I always think- Its been several months, maybe they finally have a decent staff and management by now. Well, potatoes casserole was an onion casserole with potatoes sprinkled in it. Pinto beans were cooler than room temperature, and my grilled chicken tenders that brought me in here....... showed up looking a whole lot like FRIED. Why would I order fried chicken tenders when KFC exists? I'm not a 9yr old. Last time here. Won't be back. Yall have been in business long enough to have it down pat by now, and this particular CrackerBarrel has sucked, in All Areas and in Very Big Ways, for as long as I've lived here. Done. We went there as a family of 3 and the only complaints I have is it was at a really busy time when most people don't go! But our food was ordered a little bit after we were seated and usually it is forever before we get our food, but with it being a busy day it took only a little bit of time. And you never know who your going to see! It was a special time for us! We were going somewhere else originally! But then all decided all together to eat here. As for the closeness to home vs. going where I wanted to at first. Cracker Barrel wins every time.

Thanksgiving Day I stopped by this Cracker Barrel to order carry out for my daughter and I since she was working and would be home late. When I came up to the check in counter I was greeted by Shannon, who runs the retail side of this store, and by Jasmin, who informed me that this was her first holiday working for Cracker Barrel. To say they were busy would be an understatement but these two sweet ladies were so helpful and took care of me in allowing me to order to go even though I had missed the deadline. Cracker Barrel you are blessed with these gems! I am thankful for my encounter with these two women on that day! They offered the best customer service that I have been privy to in a while! Tried to have lunch on sunday morning, was denied a place on the waiting list though they had empty tables. Gave it a second chance and tried pick up and was charged for a $5 beverage and never got it nor was compensated! After all that, the food I ordered seemed to have been sitting for a while because it was cold, very cold! On top of the fact that even though my order had been paid for already when I walked up to the lady sitting people, after she asked how many I told her I was picking up and she said she'd get someone else Never did she say or try to find out if I had already ordered or direct me to the right counter where my order was already sitting!!! Superb excellent quality of food. I ordered Thanksgiving dinner and I was expecting bland food. But to my amazement the food was delicious and tasty. Really good and gracious portions. So we're going to order our Christmas dinner for curbside pickup. I'm registered online in the rewards program now as VIP! I ordered two turkey dinners that included green beans, dressing and cranberry relish and of course pumpkin pie!! All for just over $50 including a 20 % tip. Cracker barrel is my best choice for the holidays. No more running around or waiting in line for hours. Take a look at their menu online and get smart! Order is ready on time and ready to serve. OMG. I went here again because it seemed like that's all there is between Arkansas and New Jersey is Cracker Barrel. And I always read the breakfast was good the breakfast was not that good. Again my food was cold hash browns wasn't done only thing that was hot was the gravy my chicken fried steak wasn't done even told the manager and all she could say was i apologize man I could have got sick off of that chicken fried steak not being done. My kids and Grandkids ate their food cuz they were hungry but it wasn't all that good. We got ignore by our waitress she took on more than what she can handle if you can't handle a party of 20 you don't need to be doing it plus with the other tables you had.

Food is GREAT! I mean it! Service is terrible. Been to this location many times. Tonight's service was the worst. We sere seated quickly. Table next to us was seated after us and orders taken and food served before we even met our waitress. Another waitress was standing talking to a table of folks for about 15 minutes. We finally talked to the supervisor and he took our order and we got our food eventually. We will indeed go back. However, if this happens again, maybe not. This seems to be the norm for this location, but not as bad as tonight. BTW, there were very few tables filled and plenty of help there, so they were not understaffed. Again, food great. Loved it... I went because I had won a gift certificate but the food was excellent. I had chicken and dumplings, pinto beans, greens, mac and cheese and biscuits . While my husband had grilled pork chops, fries, greens, pinto beans, corn bread. The chops were so tender you could cut with the side of your fork.. NO KNIFE NEEDED.. It was a very nice atmosphere, servant a little slack about checking if you needed anything or even bring a bill. After waiting for 10 minutes of watching the one server just standing and talking to a customer and tables were needing attention we got up and found someone to get our bill. But basing on just the food alone a 5 star will not take away for her conversation.

As a server in the industry for 5 years, this was one of the worst experiences that I’ve had. When you imagine Cracker Barrel, you imagine a welcoming atmosphere. I normally like to leave a 50% tip, but I couldn’t even justify a 20% tip. We waited 10 minutes to even be greeted by our server, we ordered waters with lemons which took 5 minutes (didnt even get lemons), she never came by until our food came out so I had to then ask for lemons. She offered biscuits and cornbread after the food arrived. She never came back to check on the food or refill our waters. The next time we seen her, it was the check in hand. We won’t be coming back to this location safe to say.

Seated moments within entering by an absolutely friendly hostess. Waitress immediately approached our table and welcomed us and took our drink orders. Food was very quickly delivered and pleasingly fresh and tastefilled. What a pleasant surprise at the portions for the lunch special and the abundant care in plating the food. Well done kitchen staff. Our waitress was very attentive during our meal but not overly so that it was annoying. Check out was a breeze and we left very happy. Great job West Nashville on your entire areas offerings. We hope to be back soon.

This is a really good Cracker Barrel there was social distancing in seating. The food was excellent and I have been going to this location for years and the food is truly like home cooking. My family and I went here to celebrate my birthday and Cracker Barrel did NOT disappoint. I noticed that they did not have the number of servers they normally have BUT they did not skip a beat considering how many customers were there we were well taken care of no complaints from us. The food was hot and delicious and I will be back soon to see these folks.

Worst Cracker Barrel we have been to in my experience. We have been to a lot of different locations. Even though there was wasn't many patrons the service was very slow. Waited about 10 minites for Cindy to greet us. We immediately placed our order. We asked for biscuits, only got 1 each with our food, which took at least 30 minites. When food arrived my potato was cold, delivered by someone else.. Didnt see Cindy again until she dropped off our check. During the whole time we were there the manager sat with some friends who were being waited on constantly. Even the manager ordered for them thru his microphone. Next...

Two people in my party. Was seated immediately. Ordered eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage and fried apples. While waiting on our food, two other tables were seated, ordered, got their food and left before we even got our food. When I questioned our waitress, she said the kitchen had been slammed with to go orders. So evidently to go orders take priority over dine in orders. After about 40 minutes we did get our food and it was mostly good. The overall experience lacked a lot to be desired.

Classic Cracker Barrel food with the single worst dining experience I've ever had at a Cracker Barrel in over 30 years of patronage. Jul 11, 23 - Judy took great care of us today. As always, top notch service. The place wasn't overly busy but there was still a little bit of a wait (probably understaffed like everywhere else these days). Service was fantastic - Savannah took great care of us. Waited for about an hour after ordering and I would have been ok with it except when we got our food it was cold. When the waiter finally came to ask how our food was we told him politely it wasn't good. His response... "Sorry but I'm not sorry!" and that's a direct quote. To clarify we weren't rude and the waiter was nice up until that statement which surprised us. I just boxed mine up to take home and warm up to eat. We won't be back and plan fill out the survey via the Cracker Barrel receipt.

This was my worst experience at a Cracker Barrell by far. I ordered the mommas pancake breakfast and added two extra eggs scrambled with cheese. The eggs came out rubbery in appearance and texture. A slice of cheese appeared to be placed on the eggs and microwaved, which made them severely overcooked. And… I bit into egg shells on the first bite. My sausage was over cooked, the server didn’t refill any drinks the entire time we were there, and she brought out the wrong check for us to pay.

The best chain for your comfort food . Period . It was our first time here after seeing them across highways all the time and I can comfortably say that i was one of the best places i have been to. Amazing decor inside and a nice variety of southern food We got the chicken pie and the rainbow trout and with brocolli and green beans They also come with biscuits and the corn muffins with plenty of butter on the side and jam . Loved it and am excited to visit it again the next time i travel

The worst service I’ve ever had at a Cracker Barrel! 20 minutes no drinks, bread but no butter. The service alone was awful!! Had to repeat my order 4 times!!!!!! I believe her name was Lacey (that was on the ticket) terrible!! It took over an hour to get drinks and food. Will never be back here!!!! She had an attitude! Maybe she was the only one working but the whole thing was an awful experience!

Tonight, I was in the mood to have some Cracker Barrel and decided to stop by my local one next to my house. Unfortunately, I waited for a hostess for 5 mins to be seated and was reassured by 2 other employees that they were coming. After the 5 mins was over, I decided to leave because if it took that long for the hostess to get to her job how long would it take for my food! Don't come here if you're expecting to be served in an ideal time. Someone needs new management!!!

Used to eat at CB frequently enough until moving to the west. Seems like the few visits we have had at any CB location the past 10 years the food doesn't taste like I remember years ago. The chicken is still the same I think but some of the sides just don't get me excited like they used to. Couple of family members that still live in the south has mentioned the same but did not believe it until the second return to one myself. I guess a good things must come to an end.

Parking was super easy even thou they were so busy. The cashier was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely wait and use them on a weekday next time only because I do not personally like the crowds these days haha but for as busy as they were the service was excellent. They kept the lines moving fast and made you feel welcome. Also for the price the quality and quantity of food was amazing. I almost went somewhere where I would have got less food for more $$!!!?

Always good food and service. Busy but it was holiday. You cango online before you leave home and say you are coming and they put you on the list.

Terrible experience! Worst cracker barrel visit ever! My to go order was supposed to be ready "in about 15 minutes". If you've ever been to a cracker barrel, this one will be pretty much exactly like any other one. The staff is great and friendly, and the food is on par with their usual, which is to say slightly inauthentic southern home kitchen type food. Good value, fun to wander in the shop.

We went at a busy time & like every other business, I'm sure they're short-handed. All the employees were pleasant & accommodating. The greeter handled more than one rude guest due to the wait. - CUSTOMERS NEED TO BE NICER TO EMPLOYEES! Our issues are not their fault in most instances.

Chicken pot pie is always my go too. Two meals in one for $10 and you get biscuits.. I called in a pickup order and it was hot and ready when I arrived. The service has always been good here over the years and I've been coming here off and on for 30 years.

Very shorthanded especially for a Sunday. The waiter did the best he could, but only two covering a entire restaurant. Sat 25 min before order taken..and another hour before receiving order. Mgr did not bother to meet/greet any guest. Appeared frustrated herself. More help needed. By the time food was brought out, it was cold.

I go to Cracker Barrel a lot! I love it! The food and waiters are great. We had 13 in our party and our waitress stayed on top of our orders and refills and separate checks! The store is amazing! And the checkout ladies even held my leftovers while i shopped! I highly recommend all Cracker Barrels!

We were told it was a 20 -25 minute wait to be seated. It was 45 minutes. We ordered our food,got the special, and so far, it's been 30 minutes and no food. Don't come here if you are in a hurry or need to get back on the road. The wait staff hasn't acknowledged that we are out of drinks.

I understand alot of people have service dogs now but I just could not handle it today no resturant should allow them. The gentleman kept having to get the dog out of his plate but kept feeding him. Alot of people have allergies and it's just not sanitary.

Placed an order To go and Matthew in the kitchen took my order, he gave me a heads up saying it could take a little while before I get my food, and only took like 20 minutes, and he made sure that my order was correct before I paid for it, he was very helpful, I hope his boss recognizes him and his hard work!

Tried ordering over the phone they told me it would take 15min. It took 53min from the time I called to get my food. Whenever I got my food it wasn’t even cooked all the way! They also made me pay whenever I got there so I wasn’t able to just leave.

Rudest hostess ever. Our server Lisa was amazing but general management needs to do better!! Only one server for the whole restaurant bless her. Waited 20 minutes to be seated, waited 40 minutes for food. The only good experience was our nice server and the food was good and hot.

Had an online order, People just really don’t care anymore.. Ordered a Chicken Fried Chicken, didn’t get the GRAVY for the chicken, the sides were all wrong, no butter or jelly for biscuits and cornbread, no napkins, no silverware..Have someone who can read and takes a little pride in their job do to go orders/DoorDash and Uber eats.

This was my 2nd visit my food was ok my sister in law order a 4 piece chicken tenders they bought out 3 good size tenders and one that was no bigger then a quarter, she bought it to our servers attention in which they told her they would drop her another one however when they bought it out it was they same size as the other one.#chickennugget.

It's cracker barrel you don't come here expecting a gourmet meal you come here expecting exactly what you get mediocre food at mediocre prices with mediocre service. Adding alcohol to their menu did not do nothing to help them whatsoever in fact I think it actually hurt them. The location is right off the interstate so that's a plus. More

Today the food was horrible. My husband Scrambled Eggs were cold, had to use a knife to cut pancakes. My friend chicken tenders were over done hasbrown cas. Was barely warm. It was lunch time when we were there. Have eaten and recommended cracker barrel for over ten years very disappointed today. The service was good, just not the food.

We stop here sometimes when traveling. It is convenient to get to and the food and service are always excellent. We will continue to patronize in the future.

The food is fine and there's generally not a super long wait. However, I recently went there for a job interview. I arrived early, and was told to sit down and someone would be with me in a minute. I was ignored and waited for 15 minutes before I decided to leave. So keep that in mind when you see the "now hiring" sign out front.

You really can't go wrong with this chain. They go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The food is always good and the staff is friendly and helpful.

We came from Alaska to Nashville and our son picked your spot! And we saw your restaurant/store along the highway. I love the selection in your store, all the old school candies you can never find! The food and breakfast especially to die for! Oh yum biscuits and gravy! We went 2 days in a row on a 3 day vacation. LOVe!

Where do I start? If you like country cooking, you'll love this place. My husband and I went today and had the chicken fried chicken. Man, they were huge! Had to bring some home. And, since it'sTuesday, they had my favorite..Lima beans. Never been to a Cracker Barrel I didn't like!

We always have a good waitress at cracker barrel. I have never ever had good mashed potatoes. They are always cold and look 2 days old. Get real with the food. We tip well for good service not the food. We were there at lunch and the food should be hot but none if it was.

We had such a wonderful visit at this local cracker barrel even the hope this jammed pack with people. Shame on us for going on a Sunday. The food and service was fabulous. We were even able to snag up a few clearanced items because of the fall to winter transition.

Food and service was excellent. I want to thank Cracker Barrel for their policy of allowing RV’s to spend the night in the parking lot (we always purchase at least one meal) this is excellent customer service, something that is lacking these days. Love it.
