It was dreadful, sorely understaffed, it only took me a few minutes to pick a laptop but it took over an hour for the staff to get it off the shelf and they damaged the front trying, then they couldn't find the charger and ended up giving me a universal one instead. The staff knew nothing about the products but still managed to be rude and patronising about simple questions. I asked 1 assistant about the sound quality on a laptop and he said "ah well not good, these days the make them so thin they can't fit decent speakers" which he then repeated to me at least 20 or 30 times, even to different questions. I got the very strong feeling that they wanted to be nice, decent normal people but their training required them to say unhelpful things. When I got the laptop home and tried to set it up it was still logged into curry's display model and was unusable until I called the tech line for assistance and while the directions were very clear they were again very rude telling since I'd bought the display 'obviously' it had been used and I would need to reset it which took another hour. This was my first time buying a new laptop and I thought it would be better but the while experience was dreadful, long and complicated so I suggest staying away, unless you already know your tech and have the patience to deal with a long wait.

I WISH THERE WAS AN OPTION OF 0 STARS. THEY ONLY TREAT YOU WITH RESPECT IF YOU ARE SALES LEAD GENERATING THE COMMISSION I was treated very very very disrespectfully by the Staff Member at your Leicester St George's Park store. I went there to buy a hard drive - waited at the tills for 5-7 minutes and no one attended. There was a member of staff called Mr S ( Deliberately not stating name as I have some dignity).he stood there watching me wait while he was trying to sell something to a different customer . I went up to him and asked him if there is anyone available at tills he goes there is no one available. when I asked him what do you want me to do . He responded I am busy with customer and there is nothing i can do and told me "To go and buy from elsewhere" !!! This was in front of 3 other customers who he was with ( ofcourse pretending to provide good service for commision) . When I took his name he goes -" You can do what you want with my name ". I am still in shock of this treatment . I bought the same product from argos. I will make sure that I and my friends and family don't go to Currys.

Went in two weeks ago to buy a new phone and smart watch. We were told that it would come in 5-7 working days so that I could take it abroad on holiday. Went into the store yesterday to check what day the items would arrive and was shocked to find out that the items were not ordered at all because the man who served us forgot to press the order button. I was extremely angry and annoyed by this because the reason for this purchase was due to the fact that I would pay £250 less and was able to take it on holiday with me. Instead of an apology, the lady who served us was annoyed and started to make excuses that it wasn't her colleague's fault because the male staff 'didn't know how the system worked'. How is that my problem? He did ask other staff for help, so why didn't he ask them to complete the order if he didn't know how the system worked? She also said that we were rude and expected us to be happy by the fact that this happened when I'm losing £250 if I wanted to reorder. Really unsatisfied with staff at this currys branch won't be ordering here again.

Currys is usually the first place I go for electronics. However, it's been some time since I've physically visited the shop. The staff were somewhat helpful but not when it came to the price. They list an incorrect price on a tablet (on the demo device) I was interested in. I knew the price before I visted from what I seen on their own website. I spoke to a staff member about the price. They responded with "This is the price due to the different colours". The price difference was about £60-70 between the same spec tablet. I mention that the price for this colour was the same as the standard according to their own website. The staff member continued to backup his statement about colour differences and a price increase. Took some time before he started to believe me and checked their own website. Always check prices online even their own. They would have charged me the sticker price if I haven't seen the price before hand. Also the building is in some need of care. It was untidy and alittle run down looking.

Very bad service. I had bought a tv in store and paid for it to be delivered. Currys had delivered it them self, after they delivered it i had set up the tv and noticed the screen was damaged once i turned the TV on. I visited the store to explain and shown them the TV and they blamed me and said theres no refund or replacement possible, the asian guy said that i had screwed the TV stand on incorrectly and its due to that, he knew i hadnt had dropped it yet he wasnt willing to compensate for it. Dont buy anything from them they are scam artists, theyll give you a faulty device and say its your own fault to avoid any warranty, after the incident i spoke to few other customers and they had mentioned a similar situation which they had lost more than me, i paid £700 for that tv, all gone to waste...Currys you suck

So we brought a washing machine 2 weeks ago and paid for installation. We realised the side facing our unit (hard to see once installed) was badly dented inwards. I took my receipt to Currys and they informed me that they can only replace if you notice within 48 hours. So you effectively need to check the good on arrival, let them install it, and then uninstall it yourself to make sure no damage was done during installation. The management didn’t see anything wrong with this and are less than helpful. Luckily, the manufacturer gave me an uplift number which allowed me to replace the damaged machine. Not that the management at Currys mentioned this could be the case. You have to figure it out yourself. Some companies treat their customers well, others are scam artists, Currys is the latter.

Purchased a new fridge freezer and paid for delivery and to take the old one away, driver arrived not willing to wait for me to disconnect the water supply to the old fridge freezer, then turns around and said he has no space on the van for an American Fridge when i asked if the Fridge was diconnected where was he going to put if he had no space in the van, he said on your drive. I found the Driver who was not willing to give me his name (CONNOR) very rude and arrogant to an extent he said i am happy to take the new one back and you can sort this out with the store, as i was not at home my wife had the new fridge left in the Garage and our dining room table is full of the frozen fridge items absolutely poor service. if i could give this a zero star i would

I had a disappointing experience during my recent visit to Currys. The lack of customer service was quite evident. My partner and I spent a considerable amount of time wandering through the store, hoping to get assistance and more information about a product we were interested in. However, it seemed like the staff were more interested in their own conversations than helping customers. We approached several employees, but none of them seemed willing to assist us. This lack of professionalism and customer respect left a negative impression on our visit. We hope that Currys can improve their customer service in the future to provide a better shopping experience for their patrons.

Absoloutley shocking customer service. tried to cancel a contract and took them nigh on 3 weeks to do it. Told come back tomorrow because of x y z go back in only to get a different reason/excuse. went in today to try again got told the contract was cancelled and i could go ahead and order the correct handset. all was fine until i had my credit check the advisor Richard said its been 20 mins and a decision still hasnt come back im not waiting any longer come back in 48 hours and retry. I called sales and within 10 mins I had been accepted and receive my handset tomorrow. I wont be using the St Georges Store again.

Appalling customer service! To keep a customer waiting for so long with the knowledge of the manager is highly unprofessional. The staff member I initially saw was very rude and could not even help me with finding a laptop, he was rather busy in looking elsewhere instead of helping me properly. In the end I decided to go to a different store and paid double the amount and got a better laptop & service. Curry's lost a sale. I complained about the rubbish service here... it has been over a week and still no response...that's their customer service

Took a friend too purchase something Halfords had sold out off.The staff tried to up sell. Having brought into their extended warranty and know how useless and frustratingthey are in fjxing things. I said NEVER. The guy said we had a short time to decide as he was due to go off on break. So we walked away. The staff member moaned to his floor boss. Who came over and said we were welcome to go else where. He carried on right through the purchase. AGAIN IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE TO GO ELSEWHERE DO.

Very very poor customer service, just tried to exchange an Apple watch bought 3 days ago, the customer service insisted that it had been opened as there was no cellophane on the box, but apple watch box does not come with cellophane wrapping, completely confused me with gas lighting, and refused to exchange the watch. Also the customer service insisted that box had been opened as a strip was missing after opening the box in front of me, very unprofessional and unhelpful staff

Went to the phone department the girl was very helpful and got the charger cable's I wanted but did not have other bits in stock then went to look at satnavs but not many to look at so did not buy then asked for a SanDisk memory card as only got a few on display but not got any I wanted in stock all in all not much stock in those departments could be supply issues or is it because people are buying on line ? If so come on people support your local shops before they disappear

  • Gary burkins

Avoid curry’s if you can!! Have had several issues with the products I’ve received and have been trying to speak with the customer service team online. They have been saying a manager will call me everyday for the past 2 weeks. No one calls. They do not escalate problems to the manager and lie. Every time I ring, THEY PUT THE PHONE DOWN ON ME!!! IMPOSSIBLE to get your issues sorted AVOID completely, no point wasting your money!!!!

  • Siaw Kho

I brought the wrong size of pressure king pro cooker today from this store and try to exchange the large size. The unfriendly Manager Imran refused to exchange and told his staff not even make a refund to me cause the box was resealed . What a terrible experience ! Never been such bad experience in my life UK always protect consumers and why let this immoral seller to abuse customers? Poor service! Never recommend to any buyers!

Worst Staff ever I went to buy Google pixel 7 yesterday. I had some doubts and i called the staff 2 times but nobody bothered to came and helped me even after waiting there for more than 10 minutes. The girl who was handling the Google section was very rude and it was not a busy hour either. Her attitude was like i was asking a phone for free. I changed my mind and had to come back without buying it. Never going back again

  • Bibi Shaheen Golamy

Ordered a washing in store @ St. George but agent made a mistake & didn't book the installation. We went back today to get it booked & the attitude of her colleague is disgusting. He didn't even looked up to sort the problem. The lady said sorry & tried to help but in vain. Sorry to say but please avoid that store. It is not the first time we've had issues with them either in facing a rude person or a mistake somewhere

  • Jay Alexander

Great customer service you g blonde guy brought a 65 inch tv on a sack barrow all the way across the car park to our vehicle because we couldnt get parked outside. And he was very happy to do it not a chore but he seemed happy to help. Great customer service that is. Certainly the way to make a customer feel appreciated shame the rest of the staff stood around couldnt be as freindly and helpful

  • Qirat Malik

Really bad customer service they sent a broken tv I paid £700 for it and they wouldn’t even replace it or return it saying it’s my fault even though as soon as it’s delivered I opened it and saw screen was scratched I went to shop and they refuse to replace it such a bad name currys half of their stuff don’t even work proper they keep faulty things and give to people. Currys should shut down

  • Robert Styles

Excellent visit to the store at St George's Retail Park in Leicester. The staff there are extremely helpful and polite. In addition they are able to offer good advice on the products on offer. Prices are excellent too and we were able to buy an electrical item for £40 less than it would have been at Argos. A great visit with a very satisfying outcome!

  • Daniel Mendes

Went in to buy a hoover. It was very quiet. Went to look at some Hoover's, needed a question answering. I had to go all the way to the payment desk to find someone and was poorly spoken too. At that point I decided to go to Argos to spend £200 on a hoover! As they treated me as a possible customer rather than brushing me off like Currys staff.

  • RealisticEnder

Worst customer service in Leicester I have ever seen all my life I should have checked the reviews before I go to the store they just interested money, they recommend you something and when it is faulty not accepting it even though I have proof of recording, hate them and will never ever shop curry’s st George in le1 …

Useless store. Ask if I could test a product to hotspot my phone as I need it to connect internet if I wanted to buy a laptop or tablet. Said it would be fine in demo mode. Then I fount out you can’t sync a phone to a laptop/ tablet if it is in demo mode from John Lewis. Much better shop. Plus the customer service was poor

  • Zulekha Takoliya

After a negative returns experience quite a few years back, I totally stopped coming here. Went back for the first time again last week and I have to rate Shazmina: excellent sales person and her knowledge on laptops was excellent. Answered all my questions, did comparisons and was very patient and friendly.

  • david farnsworth

Not happy at all went to pay the bill, member of staff delt with it, said it was done,, then get letter to remind me that insurance runs out in June, went to bank got statement no money was taken out, I tried to ring phone number on letter that was a waste of time no help at all …

  • WALTER Tucker

Been there at 1830hrs yesterday to buy a gas hob. They have a good variety of hobs compared to John Lewis. I had some questions on installing/size but the staff seem busy chatting with their colleagues and seemed least interested in my presence. Will shop elsewhere in a local appliance store.

  • Martyn Johnson

Went into exchange a mobile phone took them 3 weeks of mistakes after mistakes only for the last sales guy to say I'm not sitting here all day waiting for a credit check decision. Come back in 2 days. I walked out and called Carphone warehouse and had a new contract sorted within 10 mins.

  • Asem Abo Shaban

Currys is the worst place you want to go to. Very rude people. Both branches in Leicester have the worst employees. They lie to customers just so they sell. I was told so many times that currys is a ripoff, but never listened. Now I know why. I will never ever go there again.

  • Tom King

Tried to come in and buy a computer. Staff were non attentive, slow, worst customer service I've experienced in a long time, even for currys. Spoke to 4 different people to try and order a computer. All said something different. Took an hour to get what I wanted. Dreadful!

  • MHE Training

It's well located and has a lot on offer I was looking for a new laptop was surprised by the choice available. Sales assistant was good and very informative he helped me make my choice with his knowledge and practical demonstrations of the laptops I was shown.

  • Mark Thornton

Very limited stock, prices posted on shelves seem to be always outdated, and staff are eager to help, yet their go-to response for everything seems to be “I can order to the store or have it shipped to you…” Easy parking and convenient location.

  • Imran M

Great place to see tech and see new items which have been released by manufacturers. Very helpful and attentive staff here too. Unfortunately they didn't have the device I was looking for at the time but it was available on their website.

  • Marino Rossi

Second time a sales advisors have given me bad information Do your own research before buying anything and take their advice face value The Sony rep was slating every product that was not sony, not in the interest of the consumer

  • Madhu Bala

Worst customer service ever. Staff at Currys are extremely slow, slower than a snail! You'll be waiting for a very long time and when they finally attend you'll be greeted with a rude person like I had. Simply avoid.

  • Paul King

Plenty of choices for electrical goods. Waited 10 minutes to pay as one person sorting returns and the checkout. 3 members of staff too busy chatting to themselves to respond.

  • Beverley Lee

Quite helpful but poor policy of not being able to open a box containing a keyboard so I can see it. Takes months to get compensation when they deliver damaged goods.
