I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment with the service at Dan Murphy’s Glen Waverley, specifically concerning a cashier who displayed unacceptable levels of impatience and rudeness. The cashier, a middle-aged, bald, white man of a larger build and average height, demonstrated a severe lack of professionalism and customer service skills. On my visit, there were only three customers in line, and I was the second. The first customer, an elderly gentleman who seemed to have difficulty with English, took a bit longer to process his transaction. The cashier’s impatience became evident as he showed visible signs of irritation, which was both uncomfortable and inappropriate to witness. When it was my turn, I encountered issues with my membership not being recognized in their system. Instead of assisting me, the cashier complained about me not having my membership details ready, accusing me of holding up the line. He refused my request for further assistance and urged me to pay without resolving the issue. This kind of behavior is not only disrespectful but also diminishes the shopping experience at Dan Murphy’s. I believe every customer deserves to be treated with patience and respect, regardless of the situation. The cashier’s attitude was not only unhelpful but also created an unwelcoming and hostile environment. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and ensures that their staff is adequately trained in customer service and empathy. Such behavior should not be tolerated in a customer-facing role.

I was standing there five minutes before they closed, watching them chat before they walked off and turned the lights off early. I understand its retail, and they want to go home, but the store is meant to be open until 9. I even called ahead to try and get them to get what I wanted ready to make it faster but there isnt a number to call the store available. Now I have spent extra buying what I wanted elsewhere and wasted money in petrol driving there. If that only sounds like a small inconvenience for me, thats because it is, just like staying open for 5 more minutes until your meant to close.

Always shop here. Good quality of the selection. But today just brought this beer and found already expired. No information put aside of the label and tried to contact the customer service first couldn’t found any useful information to connect….

One of the biggest in Victoria..they have an awesome collection of beer , wine and spirits. Some of the Single malt rare whiskys can be seen on the store. Most of the time I found the store is neat and tidy. Love their wine tasting sessions..

Excellent place to shop for wines at good prices. Too many choices to choose from. Now that Christmas is just around the corner, I found Chivas Regal as the best present for my sister. Staff are so helpful and super friendly. Will buy more.

Wide range of Alcoholic and non-Alcoholic beverages. Low price bottle of wines, in discount bins. Bottles from $5 to $10, unheard of!! Got myself a bottle at $5 to try and it was Good!!

Best service and biggest range (bigger than other Dan's). They do ask for ID so be sure to bring some physical id (no screenshots or photos).

Always great selection of scotch and wines and staff always helpful in finding the bottle I want.
