absolutely horrible. i came in with a friend who recently came out as a trans woman and we went to try some special occasion dresses for juniors. she needed help figuring out how to put on some of the dresses so of course i go in and help her, and we try on dresses together and give each other feedback. an employee knocks on the door and asks if i have a guy in there, i say “no, she’s a girl.” the employee responded without apology or shame, “ok, i was just saying.” later, we come out of the dressing room and we see two employees staring at us. one of them looks my friend up and down and says rudely, “wow, very feminine.” of course to her she doesn’t ‘look feminine’, she literally just came out which was why we were SHOPPING for dresses. apart from her clothes, (which were pretty androgynous anyway) she is definitely female passing, with long hair and feminine feautures. while i understand them being concerned about having a guy in the junior dressing room, they had already asked if she was a guy and we had answered no. implying that my friend is not a proper woman is extremely invalidating and inconsiderate. just because she was not presenting feminine does not give them the right to invalidate her. i am extremely upset and disappointed in the inadequacy of those two employees, especially when dillard’s preaches equality for all this pride month. the assumption that trans women need to be hyper feminine to be accepted and treated like women is extremely harmful to those who are still adjusting to their identities and are not yet comfortable with going all out. please teach your employees decency.

PRO: store has a solid selection of plus sized clothes. CONS: Disappointed that all fitting rooms were closed. I needed 1 dress but bought $700+ worth of dresses so I can try them on at home. Frustrated that I had to circle the store calling "Hello?"to find a clerk to pay. After paying was advised I had to exit from the lower level. After getting to the lower level I learned we had to exit Dillards from the point furthest from the stores entry from the mall to an out of the way parking lot. I asked if I could return the clothes that I just purchased so i didn't have to carry them all the way around the exterior of the building until I could get to the right parking lot. They said no. This meant walking around the exterior of the mall in 102 degree heat carrying a giant plastic bag almost the same height as me filled with gowns with an injured foot. The straightest route was to climb a dirt hill and hope to step between the tree roots hoping not to stumble. Not the type of service I would expect.

It was closing time and I pulled some items to take to try on later. I attempted to return an item and they said no refund or credit “ it had to be returned within three days. Talked to customer service and they looked at me as if were an alien . I’m from the Virgin Islands and they said everyone knows their policy with returns . ( If at the time someone would have told me to note this item must be back in three days I would have made sure to do that. Nothing was said and the insulted by staff who don’t care. There are no employees that worked the area I needed help with my return. They said I was stuck with the item. The trust we put in this store for taking care of us and being honest and strait forward has been eliminated by the corporate rulers. Never again will I enter their establishment for any reason. Shame on you for taking advantage and not explaining and or telling people you are heartless and deceitful about you business.

Went into this Dillard's location 7/15/22 Friday evening to do some shopping. All went well until we made it around to the men's Polo section where me and my wife were stared at and continually watched but never greeted or acknowledged by employee Brenda. She stared and walked around us but never asked if we needed any help or anything. I could not understand why we were treated so coldly. I am not the type to play the "race card" but this blatantly felt races. We couldn't help but wonder if we were a white couple this would not have happened. I ended up picking out a shirt and having to pay for it in a different department due to Brenda not being at the register and not willing to even acknowledge us the whole time we were there. I would would NOT recommend shopping at Dillard's if you will be treated this way.

GREAT place for furniture!! After shopping all over Austin for several months and being told about back orders, unreliable deliveries etc, I finally bought a Loveseat from Dillard’s Barton Creek - they have the best selection of all Dillard’s. (40% off a sofa already marked down from $1199.00). They had it in stock and it was delivered the next week as promised. I got a call the day before that they would deliver b/w 10:00 and 1:00 and at 10:00 on the dot they were there. The loveseat is in excellent condition, completely wrapped when delivered. The men set it up In under 5 minutes and had masks on, asking permission to enter first. This is my new go-to place for furniture. I’d highly recommend for selection, availability and pricing. Thank you to Zachery, the sales associate also, who helped!

I’m very disappointed with my local Dillard’s. I purchased.a Southern Living blanket for my son for Christmas from their store, a blanket that is advertised as a Dillard’s “exclusive” and was pricey at $60 for a throw. But the color was perfect and I knew he would love, plus I figured it would be well made. I was wrong and the blanket has developed multiple holes in less than a week. In all the melee of Christmas wrapping etc, I don’t have my receipt or the original packaging, but was hoping that they would at least offer me store credit for a product that is exclusive to there stores. Nope, they can’t even look up the purchase with my card. So now I am stuck with a $60 piece of garbage and my son is out one of his most desired Christmas gifts. Never shopping there again. Buyer beware!

Itzel and Ohmar we soo awesome! We needed a few items that we struggled to find on our own. We came to the Barton Creek Mall Dillard’s expecting to spend at least an hour if not more searching. I paired my son up with Ohmar requesting help for pants and off I went with the hubby in search of a tie and shirt. Itzel was readily available and knew her stock so well she pointed us right to what we needed. I’m thrilled to report they were so good that we had what we wanted and were checked out within 45 minutes of entering the store. Awesome service, honest advice, knowledgeable of products and the variations they are offered in…we customers are blessed to have these two at our store

Terrible customer service at Dillards- specifically in the tableware section. We found a Kate spade set marked as 40% off but at since there was nobody at check out- my husband asked an associate to assist us, instead the associate rudely said “what” and walked off. She kept us waiting and another associate came by and she tried to help but the first associate said the sign has been there for thanksgiving only. Neither associate explained what was going on and spoke amongst themselves in hushed tones. I had to ask a couple of times for an explaination and nobody helped. Dillards has lost a customer today.

My friend and I (both adult age) were walking around the furniture section, as we had come into Dillards to find some things we needed for our apartment. We happened upon a desk with a funny name, so naturally we both laughed and my friend took a picture of the tag. Suddenly we heard somebody say “Children, go play somewhere else!” and turned to see a saleswoman looking at us. I responded, confused, because we are both ADULTS and were causing any disturbance. She repeated her line “Children, go play somewhere else!” so we said okay and left. Weirdest experience I’ve ever had in a store.

Worst customer service ever ! I bought some men's clothes from the galleria store that was on clearance the associate told me it's a 3 days return I went the following day to the barton creek location to do the return because it didn't fit right they refuse to process the return. The receipt says 3 days return I asked for the manager her name was Priscilla she said at this location all sales are final she called the bee cave location and they admitted that they were saying 3 days return and they will return it but no she won't she wanted me to drive all the way overthere.

I went to return some merchandise I had purchased over the weekend. It took the cashier about 30 minutes to return because she had to call for the manager to verify something even with all the tags attached, merchandise not worn and a receipt. While I was explaining the reason for a return a cashier interrupted me taking to other person and when I was repeating why I needed to return she put her fingers to her ears. Not in a million years would I think this is a way to treat a customer but I guess this is how they do it in Dillards Barton Creek Mall Men's store.

Today Brian, manager of the men’s department, went above and beyond with caring and professional assistance during COVID19. I wanted to pick up 8 polo shirts and 4 ROWM pants for my husband curbside. I don’t think I was following the required protocol by doing this by phone. He never informed of that, but instead hand picked the items and without my asking, sent me text message photos to make sure I felt my husband would like the items he selected. I went in on 9/9/23 and was in need of dress pants for work. A gentleman named Jacob came in like a superhero and helped me find exactly what I needed. He professionally sought out my problem and provided me a solution. He even went out of his way to help me when I just wanted to look at suits on Clarence. He gave great insight on the fittings of pants and overall just provided great conversation. I will be recommending my coworkers and friends to seek out Jacob. Jacob, if you are reading this, you rock man.

The woman in the furniture section was incredibly rude. My friend and I were looking at items for our apartment and were casually laughing and talking (God forbid). She approached us as we were looking at a chair we were interested in when she proceeded to call us children and suggest that we leave. We were most likely going to buy the chair but her horrible attitude prevented that. I would suggest that this Dillards location reevaluate their staff to prevent this unacceptable customer service.

A couple of friends and I visited this location to check out some furniture. We were looking to purchase a couch and were sitting on them to check for comfort and space. A staff member walked over to us and said “We sell furniture here and we sell them clean.” There were so many people around us sitting on the couches and the beds but she never went to any of them. Absolutely disappointing and rude. Please check the attitudes of your staff members, it is highly disrespectful towards customers.

Bad customer service. Condescing in fact. Normally a pretty good place to shop with reasonable prices. But today when we asked a saleslady in womens wear about finding a sun dress in the junior wear, she told my wife that mature women don't wear Juniors unless they want to regress to their childhood. And she didn't say it in a nice way either! We will be shopping elsewhere next time where we are treated with respect, or at least where we will not be attacked while handing over our credit card!

Visiting Austin and decided to stop by Dillard's to make a payment and look around. My 4 star is due to size of the store not having a great variety of merchandise. This store was a one ground floor store. The quality and prices were the same as a regular size Dillard's. It was however, a nice store. Handicap parking. I found it odd that the doors to the parking lot are the first ones to be locked, leaving side door facing the road open. Dillard's in a small shopping mall.

Went in looking for one specific item, a women's belt. Asked a couple of employees where they were, and they pointed us in wrong directions. We finally found them, about ten different belts on one rack, in the entire store, none of them what we needed. I'm not disappointed they didn't have what we needed as much as the hassle it took with two employees to find the single rack of belts. It was so much easier just to find what we needed online.

The staff we worked with where great. I had a gentleman help me find the perfect combination of dress shirt and pants for my husband. He also help combine it to my son. He was patient and very knowledgeable. And also bilingual which helped so much with my mom who also had a lot of question. We had been going a bit back and forth from upstairs and down stairs department but we came back and checked out with him, as they do get commissions.

I think only one or two employees were working in clothing. We couldn’t find anyone to check us out. We ended up checking out with an employee whom we ran to because they were standing behind a register near the purses and they were only the second employee we had witnessed working aside from the 20 employees sitting and laughing in perfume/makeup. Clothing prices are just seriously ridiculous here, but are name brand.

The ladies at the ladies perfume section are horrible. They rolled their eyes at me and treated me with so much disrespect because I was not sure which perfume to get. I understand one should know what perfume to get but not everyone has the privilege to know how all the perfumes smell like and want to try some of them before you go and spend $150 on one perfume. I hope the management fix their attitudes.

I purchased a bottle of cologne from this store. When I went to open it the bottle was broken and the cologne had spilled out into the box. I came back and spoke with Caleb, he was very understanding of the situation and was able to help me exchange the broken bottle for a new bottle with no issue. Definitely appreciate the outstanding customer service. Will be coming back for sure

I seemed to always get the sweetest older African American sales rep that always seem not to have any problems with helping. She’s always smiling and greeting folks professionally. This is the 3rd LV vintage piece I’ve purchased at Dillards due to this woman excellent customer service. Next time I’ll get her name and edit this post with it.

Wanna know why Department stores are going out of business? Because the workers you have here. I couldn’t find anyone to try anything on or check out in the children’s department. When I did finally find someone they were rude and wouldn’t even acknowledge mine nor my daughter’s presence lol. Are we invisible? Do you hate the way we look?

I gave Dillard's a well deserved five star rating because I was able to find exactly what I needed, and it wasn't all picked over. The employees were helpful when needed, discreet when not. In other words, exactly how a great shopping experience should be. I've been going to Dillard's since I was a kid, and I hope it stays open forever.

I have recently bought Furniture from Dillard's, and I was pleasantly surprised on the knowledge and politeness of Mary in the department. There is a good selection and different styles. We prefer something more contemporary and they were able to accommodate. If you are looking for furniture I recommend Dillard's as a stop.

Shockingly poor service in the swimsuit department, refusing to replace a defective swimsuit and demeaning my wife when she tried to return it. Failure to stand behind an expensive product is unacceptable, insulting a customer trying to set a manufacturing mistake right is worse.

I love Dillards! The staff is so helpful. I was there on Wednesday before TG, went in to get travel luggage great sakes but I couldn't find a counter with a sales person, but a sales lady who was on her brake saw me and helped me out with with such joy! Sadly I forgot her name!

I love going bra shopping with friends at Dillard’s. I especially love their bra sales. It’s the only place I find bras that fits well. The sale staff are very friendly. Today I bought a sexy lace bra for $7.99 and my friend and I bought matching shoes.. so fun.

Great selection. I love to shop here on January 1 of each year. Men’s suits and dress shirts are usually 1/2 off for the day. There are usually great Christmas merchandise on sale for next to nothing. Make sure and get there before the doors open. It gets crazy
