ATROCIOUS customer service. I went to D1 last week and lost my glasses there and lodged a lost property form the day after. The page mentions that if the items are found I would be contacted but I specifically asked for them to also contact me even if they do not find my glasses as I don’t have any backup ones and going on holiday soon so if it’s not at the venue I would need to order them asap. It’s $200 for a new pair and takes 2 weeks to get delivered. It’s been a week and I’ve heard nothing, I also message D1 on their Facebook and Instagram but they left me on seen on both platforms. Today, I called them at 10pm as I knew there would be staff as the club is open. The staff representative said she would give me a call back in 15 to let me know if the venue has my glasses. Fast forward 2 hours later I’ve still not heard back from her and when I called back I was hung up on after it went through. Any calls following that never went through again. I also messaged them on Instagram again but never got a reply even though they were actively posting stories. I just don’t understand why it’s so difficult to let me know if my glasses are sitting in the lost property box, because like it’s not a hard thing to do. I know this is just a club but it’s still a business and they clearly don’t care about the customers or have any etiquette of customer service. If you lose anything here, consider it gone. I also visit the club frequently as I’m a promoter but needless to say my friends and I will never be coming back here. The service has always been nonexistent and every staff member is always rude and looks miserable. It’s really not a good business and you’re much better going off somewhere that has human decency.

Table booked on 22/04/2023. Normal entry should be ok but do not book a table and waste your money at D1. My frens were alr at the table since I arrived very late at 2am from another club. After a couple of drinks they basically stopped me from drinking as they claimed we were way too drunk but I was sober as hell??? I was even feeding my one of my fren water constantly so that he could sober up a little. Since one server is assigned to every table, she should be able to monitor us and allow the sober ones to drink but everyone on the table was barred from drinking irregardless. It is absolutely ridiculous that I was restricted from drinking when we paid so much for the table. Never had a experience like that at a club. Never will book a table at D1 again. As it stands, they are only focused on profits and nothing else as I was charged $50 for entry after 1am even though I had a table reservation. We had two unopened 750ML bottles of Belvedere left after the night but only one was clocked for balance which means we lost a bottle for nothing due to nothing. They should close their doors for good and not be a menace to the clubbing scene. Appalling servers and management. Disgusting profit gouging organisation. They simply do not care about their customers. Oh yea, if the rating could be negative, it would be -100 stars.

Today would have been the worst club experience I have ever encountered. Mimi who deals with all the booking is should be fired ! Useless and doesn’t know how to run a venue and obviously doesn’t know how much the club can hold and how many tables can be booked. My mate booked a table after someone has cancelled. We places a deposit & was ensured by Mimi that we get a table . Mimi advised us to arrive before 12 . Got there at 9:30pm , the VIP LINE was packed to the corner . We then waiting for about 1.5 hours and then received a message from D1 saying they will cancel our booking. Many of my mates tables got cancelled and no one got refund . YOU CANT SAY YOU WERE SUPER BUSY . If they were professional, they would know exactly how much people that club can hold .and not let people that fly in from other states to waste there time lining up even though we paid for a VIP BOOTH Super disappointed with the staff , we all felt like we got scammed. NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN !!!! And for all though people tht didn’t get there booth aswell, please leave your experience here so warn others to not book here on big event days . If I could rate a ’ 0 ‘I would !!!

If I could write zero stars I would absolutely disgraceful, ill mannered and inconsiderate security with such big egos particularly those surrounding the entrance. They were extremely racist and prejudicial towards my friends who flew in from the US only a few days ago and they had lost their baggage till the day before. We waited in line for two hours initially. We got to the entrance only to be told that their attire was ‘too casual’. We made the effort and expenses to find our friends club appropriate attire. We waited another 2 hours to be told by the same bouncer that they were still too casual. We had seen people in ripped jeans, hoodies and beanies and were allowed to enter so I don’t understand why they weren’t allowed in. We were laughed at and made fun of for ‘making the effort’ to find our friends new clothes by this same bouncer. The bouncer told our friend (who has alopecia) to take off his beanie despite this fact, even if we pleaded with him to let us in. Disgusting attitude & disgusting behaviour from District 1.

We booked a booth to celebrate our friend wedding and it wasn’t worth it at all. Once inside our booth was not ready on arrival and only had a few glasses which was not enough for the 19 people we had. The security in the main vip questioned me about my ability to walk upstairs in heels. The bottle girl also could not pour drinks and split majority of it as well as causing it to stain my dress. Overall customer experience was not worth the price. I would also not recommend people to sit down as security will kick you out. There is also some sexism as most girls would be allowed entry compared to guys in line who had to wait longer to get in as well as have to pay the increase of entry fee. They also denied card and only allowed cash entry. Although we had a booth, we had to pay $35 extra per person with cash and had to get out cash from the local kebab shop.

This club have no definition of customer service. We booked a table on Lunar New Year Event, looking forward to have a great night with friends but turned out feeling like we got scammed. The club refuses to accept card payment and just switch to cash without no specific reason. We was forced to pay the rest on cash at the table. 3 of us counted the money in front of the bottle girl and put the cash in the envelop. 5’ later they came back claim that $50 was missing and request us to pay more or else they will cancel our table. It’s not much of the deal but it’s horrible for being ripped. Nevertheless, the manager of the floor came and talked like we was trying to cheat $50??? Ridiculous service. Have to wait 1h for the drink to arrive. Feel like paying to beg for service :) Pls change your service before all your client is offended

Do not book a table at this nightclub unless you want to risk being separated from friends. The club was split into 3 sections (I had a VIP table). My mates went to the bathroom from our VIP table to the upper level and they could not come back down. A fwew friends went from our table to the dance floor and could not come back up to the table because the 'Stamp' they give you at entry rubbed out. I tried speaking to the security explaining that they were on my table however to no avail. I've never encountered any lower IQ security guards honestly with such a big power trip.

This place disgusts me. We got kicked out despite being VIP and spending over $1000 on a booth. My friend was asked to leave for leaning on the seats of the booth with no prior warning and were refused re-entry. I believe they were finding reasons to kick out people that were already in the club to make room for the unreasonable line of people outside. I will not be returning :) xo would recommend boycotting

Honestly, the worst club in Melbourne. The security guards physically harassed me and my group of friends. I have never experienced such hostility and prejudice towards me. I finally got my Australian citizenship, changed my given name,coming from Somalia, and they treated me differently as I just wanted to have a good time. Never coming back, and I recommend to anyone going there. DONT GOT THERE !!!!!!!!

Don’t go clubbing here unless you want to be talked down by rude staff especially the security guards and their staff will only care about and prioritize their friends and will get someone kicked out for their friend if they just ask :) Booked a table there and spent over $1500 and wish I could get that refunded frr x

Power tripping racist security guards. Wouldn't let me and my friendd in because we didn't meet the dress code even though we were dressed nicely. We were wearing exactly the same thing as a few others in line but only we were harrased and forced out because we are black. Would rather go to revs than this disgusting club again

Had fun with my friends but won’t come back again. It’s just one of the worst club I have ever been. It’s for young people who doesn’t know about the good clubs. First of all the music was trash. And bar tenders/ bouncers were EXTREMELY UNFRIENDLY. disappointing. I don’t know why people wait for few hours to enter.

I helped my friend booked their hens/bucks party at District 1. The booking process was smooth and they're very accommodating towards our large group. From the booking process all the way through table service, it was fantastic. Overall it was a great night for all of us. Definitely recommend going here.

My mates and I just had the best clubbing experience last friday. Music at the club was phenomenal, Bottle girl’s service was elite. Club staffs were helpful. 10/10 experience would do it again. Be sure to message one of the promoters/ managers to secure a table!

Despite all the negative reviews the place is without doubt the best Venue to attend on a Friday night. Always is super busy because of its popularity but the Hosts and organisers do an amazing job overall. A place in Melbourne that you need to check out at least once, just make sure you come early!

Security guards have a god complex and can't properly count 1 in 1 out. The club also is cash only and kept us in line for 3 hours until we were told $50 entry, when we got to the front they told us there is nothing we can do and we'll have to line up again if we wanna withdraw

What a terrible place with terrible service to match. Booked a VIP booth, literally 4 stools and a table. Supposedly this is what you get when you pay $1k for the VIP package. Don’t waste your money, go elsewhere! I should have read the bad reviews on this place before booking.

Bouncers are absolutely disgusting people. Abused us for going back to the VIP section where we came out of. We had VIP wrist bands on. Their conduct would be classified as assault in a court of law. Don't waste your money here, go to somewhere that deserves it.

Only accept cash for entry fee and expensive compare to other clubs. Music was bad, feel like radio music.. which I can play it myself.. wouldnt pay that much money for this.. We queued for a long time and then the staff said the line was

The level of service doesn’t remotely justify the money we paid for the table, let alone the chaotic mess just to get in. What’s even more off-putting was the bottle girl’s attitude and her non-stop eye rolling.

The music and bartenders were excellent and fast at what they were doing. Security is A+ and not too invasive just does what they are supposed to do

This place never stops buzzing with great vibes and addictive DJ sets. The whole venue is easy to navigate and the many bars are accessible. Must visit on a Friday night.
