I have seen from the reviews that most people do have a relatively OK experience with this. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me. I am off work sick and needed a drs consultation for a sick leave certificate. I booked an appointment for 12.00. By 12.10 there was no sign of the doctor so I sent a message on the online chat. They said the doctor was having technical issues. For a service that runs solely online, I would expect them to be pretty up to date with their technical capabilities. I then gave them my number for the doctor to call me. After an hour of waiting and them trying to call the doctor for me and messaging the doctor to ask them to ring me, I gave up and asked for my money back. Not a great service for me. When you are feeling unwell, waiting over an hour, even just in your house, is not great. Hopefully others have a better experience.

Shocking. Have used service previously, but after today's stuff around not again. Couldn't join wait room for my appt as it constantly said appointment not scheduled. Live chat assured doctor will contact via phone call. So I continued to wait only to then receive an email saying my appt was cancelled as the dr waited 15mins for me to join, and called me but had no response. Phone was by my side and only rang once from an unknown number (prior to me contacting live chat, even though they said it would be a private number) however when answered there was no one on the other line. Awaiting refund which could take several business days to clear, in the mean time we will seek medical assistance else where.

Dr Farag has zero empathy for his clients, especially surrounding mental health. He was late to the appointment, disconnected the appointment early when I challenged his approach because he told me “my life is messy and I should just go to hospital”. Doctors need to understand that their professional approach can trigger someone’s relapse if they are interrupting them, not making them feel heard, and enforcing the idea to the patient that they are crazy. Very disappointing, I really hope he never makes another person feel as low as he made me feel when he ended our appointment. The only positive outcome was that the administration team granted me with a refund due to Dr Farag’s despicable actions.

First time using this service the other day and it was fantastic. I was connected to a doctor immediately with a waiting time of <1min. The service I received from Dr Andreas Breitbarth was excellent - he was incredibly empathetic, supportive and helpful and it was honestly one of the most positive interactions I've ever had with a doctor (and this was over the phone!). I received some great advice, my medical certificate and prescription were received immediately via email after the call. Highly recommend - particularly this doctor but I don't think you get to choose

My gosh! This is the most incredible service. I was trying to find a doctors appointment for 2 days over Easter in my home town with no luck. Then one morning at 7am I decided to try Doctors on Demand. Within 2 minutes I was connected to a doctor. She was lovely and knowledgable and helped me with my health concerns. I had a prescription and a referral emailed to me within 20 minutes after my appointment. I don't think I will ever go and see a doctor in person again. This is a game changer! Highly recommend you give it a go.

Very grateful for our speedy, IT savvy Saturday morning appointment at super short notice for ailing uni student son. Have to admit that when I set up the account and sent $60 to an unfamiliar website, I didn't know what to expect. Happy to report that our doctor was fantastic to interact with and it's really the way forward if you don't necessarily need a hands-on appointment. For people in remote locations, this must be a blessing. Highly recommended. Many thanks for the initiative.

My husband booked an online appt to get a referral to see his specialist. He had left it to the last minute and needed it asap. Somehow along the way he managed to book himself twice, paid twice, and was called by two different doctors at the same time. When we contacted doctors on demand to sort out the extra payment, it was refunded immediately with no issues whatsoever. 100% would recommend this company. Dr was lovely and the response to my double payment was swift.

I have used this as it is fast for a prescription. Normally the Drs there are really bad, they say innacurate or incorrect recommendations about a common condition which I have had my whole life. But last time the dr never sent the prescription. The people from Dr on Demand never helped or gave any solution. They supposedly scalated the case to the manager, and supposedly contacted the Dr, but again, no definitive response nor solution. Avoid at all cost.

Beware. Concerns this is a scam. Created an account and entered all my details, answered health questions and the system said i had an appointment. The appointment time came, but no doctor. It said the doctor was running late, continued to wait. Then, the system kicked me out saying the session had expired. No way to get back in. Very concerned my credit card details have been stolen here, will be contacting the bank and police to see what i should do.

Wish had read reviews first!! Same as many others. Booked and paid $60 for appointment. Used service as have hurt back and can't go to Doctor as have covid. Waited over 15mins as Dr was apparantly running late. Then said appointment lapsed and that was it! Contacted someone via live chat who said Dr will call me from a private number. Still waiting! If rebook have to pay another $60. Appears extremely unprofessional to me!!!

Could not fault the service I received. I chose a doctor after reading the brief bios of the doctors available. I requested an appointment at a time convenient to me and the doctor was right on time. She was very friendly and helpful, providing me with scripts for my regular medication and information I was seeking about other health conditions. The whole process went very smoothly. $60 well spent.

The worst Doctor I’ve ever dealt with would be Dr Ali Nazari, do not waste your money on him, he knows absolutely nothing wouldn’t even prescribe me medication that I’ve been given before using this service and it clearly had it on my file and what my condition is. He was in bed when he called in his shorts on very uncomfortable, then I had to wait 3 days to get a refund. Charbel Rahme

After waiting 5 hours for Call The Doctor to arrive with no sign of them towards midnight, we used this service instead as my daughter had tonsilitis and just needed a script in the morning. The appointment was immediate. Much better than going to doctor in person if it is simple diagnosis and treatment. The GP we spoke to was very polite and professional considering it was about 2am.

  • Rose Holt

$92 out of pocket for horrid service and no outcome. My daughter has school sores and when trying to explain the symptoms and the situation, was completely dismissed. Instead of calling me by my first name, was just called "mum". Thankfully I went elsewhere and was prescribed the necessary medicine for my daughter. Would not recommend this dismissive and rude service.

  • Larissa Tuohy

So angry, spoke to a dr who told me I needed a script for antibiotics straight away. I was already aware I had a serious infection developing. But I never received the escript. Called them within business hours several times with no answer. No one has responded to my email either. But of course I was charged.

  • Bianca Osbaldiston

I had an appointment with Dr Hany Abdelghani and he was very rude and dismissive, lacking active listening skills, empathy and professionalism. We are not products on a factory line! $60 out of pocket for 5 minutes. I wish I had read the reviews before making the appointment, but I was to sick to do that!

  • Charlotte Yeates

Had a lovely doctor who really took her time to explain my symptoms and gave me referrals for follow up blood tests. Super easy service to use as well - just the click of a button! The doctor was on time and there was no lag or anything. Would strongly recommend to anyone in need of a doctor asap

  • Sunset Seeker (Sach)

Absolutely terrible service. Given over the counter medicine when needed prescription for a problem that I've had a history with for many years. Absolutely useless. I'm not even sure some of the so called doctors have the credentials to give out prescriptions. Cash grab. Avoid.

  • Johanna Redwood

My husband used Doctors on Demand due to a last minute toothache that occurred before our international flight. Matthew Farag was prompt, understood the situation and provided the necessary script. First doctor that’s ever been early for an appointment. And on a Sunday!

  • F

Paid $60 (non covered by Medicare) and the GP send me a private script, meaning that my medication would cost me over $300 instead of the usual $30. I have emailed numerous times and tried to call over the past 2 days but haven't heard back. Avoid at all costs.

  • ainsley Brown

Booked and paid for an out of hours appointment, online before and during appointment time with message saying doctor is running late we’re sorry for any inconvenience. Then popped up appointment expired with no contact from doctor. Fraudulent at best.

  • Samuel Crosthwaite

Waited 30mins, charged the fee $62.95 prior to speaking with clinician. THEY CANCELED THE APPOINTMENT!!. Now I have to wait 3 days to get my money back. No option to wait for the next available Dr. Waste of money and time. Poor service in my Opinion.

  • tobi tobi

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE ITS A SCAM - If i could give less than 1 star I would! I had an appointment for 9:15, the Doctor never showed up, there is no link to reschedule - just to pay for another appointment! As far as i can tell ive lost $60 !

  • Dale Cameron

Great service and just as personal as if you were in the doctors clinic. In fact i felt the doctor took more time to understand my background and likely issues than if i was in the room. Very much appreciate the convenience and personal care.

  • Jacob Matthews

The doctor did not listen to my symptoms. Was dismissive and spoke over me while I was trying to explain what was wrong. She rushed the appointment due to being late herself. There was zero patient care. Would not recommend in any situation.

  • Max Comm

Had an appointment with Dr Celeste Vidot and can say confidently that she is the worst medical practitioner I’ve ever dealt with. She tried claiming that food poisoning and gastritis doesn’t last for more than a week and that she won’t give

This was the first time I have used this service and I am now a fan. I had a medical issue which was getting worse over the past 3 months. I'd seen 2 GPs and the prescriptions didn't work. In fact my condition worsened so I was eventually

Booked a 1030pm appointment on Sat night for $90 for my son who had an allergy to a bee sting. I joined the meeting and then received a pop up message that said the Dr was running late which was fine but then at 1045pm the session expired

  • Raymond Hemsworth

Used this service for the first time this week and it was great. I was too sick to attend a face to face appointment with my regular doctor so decided to give this a go and I was pleasantly surprised. The service is based in Australia and

As Emma says “Had to pay $60 when I booked it. Appointment rolls round, says the doctor is running late, which is fine. My appointment was scheduled for 11 and sometime after that a pop up message said “session time expired”. And took me

Booked an appointment for a couple hours later: I saw Dr Kumar and she was on time, took the time to listen to me and was thorough. She organised a script for me as well as a referral for if the script didn’t help. I received both within

I had 3 appointments with Dr. Shahnaz Aftab. She made me do many pathology test and after 3 appointments later. she said I should see a GP face to face. which begs the question. why she suggested for pathology when same test was done 4

I've used this service twice now and whilst you pay for it and don't receive any Medicare rebate, it's worth it when you need a Dr and can't get one locally. Each instance the consultation was on time and quick - 5 mins, I received my

Excellent service. Needed antibiotics after hours, booked an appt at 720 for 730, appt started at 725, no problem discussing my issues and prescribing a script. Would definitely recommend when you can’t get to your usual gp.

  • Lars J

Might be a good service if the webpage actually worked. Greys out and wont let you continue after you have spent ages adding a whole lot of details. Would have been quicker to go and see a real Dr in person. …

  • Kirsty McGilvray

Booked an emergency appointment for 5.45am in order to get an urgent script to stop vomiting. Dr was late, connection was terrible. Then, no script comes through. They tell me the script will be posted to the

  • Ben Harris

$92 dollars for an appointment that lasts 10 minutes, and offers no outcome. Recommended that we see a GP in person whilst being aware that symptoms included a cough. Would not recommend.

  • Lucas van Rooij

Paid 60$ for a prescription appointment and then they can’t prescribe the drug I need because it can be done face to face only. There you go 60 dollars wasted for 12 minutes of nothing

  • Kate White

The doctor I Had was very caring and helped me ! What you need when you really don't feel well. Thankyou …

  • Jessica Hayman

Great experience. Was slightly delayed but felt the doctor listened well and assessed me well.
