Continued review from Kathryn Goddard- Domayne Belrose, Worst experience of my entire life. 8 weeks after initially purchasing our sofa we once again had to ring the store for an update on the progress of our sofa and were told "Oh, yes, it should arrive next week and we'll be in touch." Next week arrived and we again had no contact. We then called the store again and was told it would be coming in two days. My partner organised to work from home and the warehouse attempted to deliver our sofa- to no avail. They were unable to get it up the stairs, so delivered our cushions and said they would have to discuss with Domayne another way of bringing the sofa up to our apartment. We have already paid for a "difficult delivery" fee (labeled on our invoice!) at this point and noted it to you on Day ONE. We didn’t hear from Domayne for a few days despite having all of our cushions, and still the loan sofa. So again we called, and we were told there was no way we could have our sofa delivered that week as it was "in for a treatment”- My partner told the employee she knows for a fact this can’t be true, as this was the organised SECOND attempt at a delivery so any treatment should've already been completed. We were then put in touch with an EXTERNAL delivery service, our number was given to them from our salesman (why?) who informed us we would have to give them $300 cash for delivery of our sofa over the balcony… We told them we would not be paying as we already paid for a difficult delivery fee (again, on our invoice) and we never heard back from them. Im still confusing as to why our sales rep gave our phone number over to an external delivery service who are not in any way affiliated to Domayne- feels like we are doing his job for him organising with the factory and delivery driver? We then spent days arguing with Domayne about this $300 fee and were told that our salesman would've explained to us before purchasing the sofa that the customer is in fact liable for any extra fee's the delivery requires. WE WERE NOT TOLD THIS INFORMATION. They said the disclaimer stating we would need to pay extra for a difficult delivery would be on our invoice, and IT IS NOT THERE. After arguing back and fourth over a matter of days we settled on paying $150 (payment over the phone, with our salesman from Domayne) for this "balcony delivery", but were still not told a time or date. I have to mention too, this entire time Domayne has not been organising with the warehouse, they have handed us over to this external company so we are having to text back and fourth with the delivery service in order to find a delivery date. Eventually when our sofa was finally delivered over the balcony, the delivery men asked if we paid extra for the service… we said we paid Domayne and their response was, “We will never see that money.” Where is our $150 going then, Domayne? I would of happily handed over the cash to our delivery men as they instructed initially (we have text confirmation of this conversation) as they did the hard work and had better communication with us than you did. This entire process has been a MESS. Domayne have been unprofessional, untruthful and at times impossible to even contact! We FINALLY had our sofa delivered 9 weeks after purchasing, and when it arrived for the balcony delivery after we had paid the fee, they had brought us THE WRONG SOFA and no one knew where our sofa actually was… (I have photo evidence of this too). I also have a phone call recording of a Domayne employee saying she isn’t sure of the location of our sofa, and IF they find it, will try to get it delivered tomorrow. This phone call ended with your employee saying she is "sick and tired of her colleagues making stupid mistakes," and that she is "extremely embarrassed, I don't know whether to laugh or cry". Your store manager Mark left my fiancé in tears. He said she was lying about the experience, that he had gone out of his way to talk to us, and that any complaint will end up back with him anyway. Look forward to hearing back from someone, or maybe we won't

HOPELESS is the word to describe this store. Bought a fridge 4 weeks ago and was told will receive a call when it is in stock for delivery. Obviously after I called up after one week as I did not receive a phone call and been told the salesperson must have forgotten the call as the fridge was in stock for 5 days already! Fridge delivered was faulty (which I don't blame the Store for it) and I organised for them to come and have a look. The freezer does not freeze properly and obviously this is a health hazard and needs to be addressed immediately. Contractor from Westinghouse came of Friday 12th Feb and advised that "We have sold you a lemon" and will organise with Harvey Norman store for a new one. Today is 21st Feb and I have not heard from the store yet so decided to call up. After the person on the phone checked with his manager he started asking questions like "what was the fault?" "what was the name of the contractor?" and all sorts of questions stating they did not have a clue that such claim exists. And we trusted them and waited for 10 days to follow up!! Been promised now that a fridge will be sent tomorrow ! we'll see...

I visited Domayne Belrose store on 22 October 2016 to return a faulty camera lens. The lens has an intermittent fault and is not recognised by my camera in certain situations. (80D). I told the attendant at Belrose that it was faulty and I would like a refund. He told me that he would have to test it first. I then said I didn’t have time for that and would leave it with him. His response was, you have to take it with you, if you leave it I will throw it in the bin. Shocked at this statement I walked out of the store Since then I have sent two emails over two weeks and heard nothing from them. They say on their website that they will try and get back to you within 24 hours. This does not happen. For some reason they feel that by ignoring my communications that this will go away. I can assure the people that decided not to make contact with me that this is not the best way to sort out a problem as my next move is to contact their CEO. 8 November 3pm: A nice man has just called me from Domain and given me a refund over the phone.

Domayne Belrose - Bought 8 dining chairs today 17th March 2018 and picked up from their warehouse down the road. Sales staff were excellent, friendly courteous, and knowledgeable. Staff at the warehouse were flat out, but I didn't wait too long and they loaded the chairs into my van. Upon arriving home, I found that the 2 large boxes, contained only 6 chairs. I returned to the warehouse, and found that only one more was available, 7 chairs in total. I then asked for assistance from the store manager. Mark, was on the ball, and had already been alerted to my plight. He immediately helped, and promised to obtain another chair for me within a week or so (from another store presumably). I'm sorry to hear about the other dis satisfied customers, but I for one, reckon this Domayne at Belrose is great!

Hole in brand new couch detected upon delivery over a month ago. Reported to them immediately with photos. Fobbed off with excuses about Christmas break still, someone will get back to you (and they don’t) and any other old excuses they could.Happy to take $5,499 off you, not keen to do any service recovery other than say they’ll pick it up for repair and leave you without it for 2 weeks. Not good enough. We will hold it here until you can replace with new unfaulty product please, WITH FULL GUARDSMAN ADDITIONAL PROTECTION as purchased. Management please sort this as a matter of priority as calls and emails have not resulted in any solution. CUSTOMER BEWARE: go elsewhere to purchase your furniture. Extremely poor customer service and after care. Still no resolution as of Feb 6. Purchased 2 Jan.

We went to Domayne Belrose to have look for a mattress and on the way we saw a nice 3.8m outdoor umbrella and bought it too. The delivery of the umbrella was a different experience and got delivered around 11PM, came wrapped in plastic without the base and the cover. Took photos and sent to the delivery man and asked to contact the warehouse with the photos. the next morning Stuart called and said that my boss will pick a new whole set of umbrella up as soon as the warehouse opens deliver and assemble it for you. Dom called me and said, I am on the way and the new umbrella will be delivered and assembled for you in 40 minutes. Dom did exactly that!. Addressing the problem and offering better service when things go wrong is the key for the best customer retention and loyalty! Thanks Dom!

Nobody gave me a text to say when they are delivering my item. After calling the salesperson at the Belrose store, I was passed on to the warehouse to find out myself. They had no clue and left me hanging on the phone for ages. Suddenly a West Gosford store guy called me. No apologies just more bad news. My delivery was put onto the incorrect truck! So now I had to wait until 9 am the next day to be told the time. The guarantee I was given by the Belrose sales rep Stuart M. was that they would text the night before- especially since I have an hour drive to meet the driver to let him in. It is literally like the company is being run by a bunch of rouge teenagers! Zero accountability & Zero professionalism. I will not be purchasing from Domanye again.

Ordered a couch and was advised it would be 8 weeks. Not 8 -10 as is advised by their supplier. The delivery date has been moved to 12 weeks and 3 days from payment (not hopeful they will keep to that).... do not order unless you are comfortable spending a heavily extended period on your old couch ( i would not have ordered, had i known). Buyer beware! also of course Covid was the excuse... this was ordered in July, well into Covid territory where they would have known how orders were affected and how to manage expectations. Beware the salespeople saying what suits their end.

Domayne Belrose will always be our first choice when we need something for the house. For more than five years we have purchased furniture, beds and white goods etc for many properties and the service is always outstanding. Honestly we would not go anywhere else while ever Francis works there. Many people could learn from him in the way he conducts himself. He is so professional, knows his products and an all round really lovely man. It’s always a pleasure to see him again. I definitely recommend people go to Domayne at Belrose and ask for Francis.

Terrible service. I went in today to buy a Canterlever Umbrella. The sales guy wrote me a quote. The whole time looking around the store. I asked about delivery and cost to my area. Each time he had to write it down . He didn't really care. I was there to buy it. He was rude. He just wanted to serve the other couple. Who by the way I met in on men furniture on the same floor.. And we both bought our Shelta umbrellas with base with scotch guard over $1499. We both agreed how rude he was. In 15mins he could have had 2 sales.

  • Bronson Strong

Really outstanding service. Came in to buy a bed, and was impressed with the range of frames and mattresses along with the sales that accompanied them. In particular I am hugely appreciative of Jonas who was incredibly helpful, patient and kind - did an amazing job finding us the best deal he could with what we were looking for, and took care of us with plenty of extras. Really happy with the price and products we got. Will definitely return :)

Belrose Harvey Norman Domayne Bedding Department: great advice and service from Graeme in the Bedding Department. Mattress arrived ahead of schedule and custom base arrived ahead of schedule. Happy customers. It’s nice when you get great service and delivery exceeds expectations. Maria on the payment side also was excellent also. Thanks Domayne for delivering service as it should be.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE!!!! Customer service is Non existent. Long delays in delivery with no explanation or follow up calls after having waited months as they had ordered the wrong item. Mistakes happen but they couldn’t have cared less. Management very rude, unhelpful and lacking professional integrity. Do yourself a favour and find better service /value elsewhere.

  • mark sutton

OMG, if my experience with the customer service at Domayne was the norm we're in trouble. The two ladies in the bed linen area were the most unhelpful and rudest people I have encountered. I will now avoid this department store at all costs. It's a shame when staff who don't care and even say they don't care, bring down your feelings towards a store.

I literally just left the Domayne store, located in Belrose (Sydney). I am so appreciative of the service that I received from Jonas, in the Bedding Department. Jonas was kind, patient, knowledgeable and allowed me to be super comfortable with my purchases before getting them. I cannot rate Jonas highly enough. Thank you, Jonas! Thank you, Domayne!

  • Robin Ellard

I ordered a Sony TV. "In stock in one to two weeks" was told. Nope.. Rang up, "it'll be here in 24 hours" Nope.. Called a week later. Was there. So in summary the shop itself is okay but the logistics are a bit of a joke. Oh and the warehouse you collect from is a dump, the staff sullen and you'll wait 20 minutes after ringing the button.

  • Jess Sullivan

Ordered an expensive table in June, told it would take 3 weeks. Store wanted payment in advance at the time of order. It’s now finally ready for pickup - in October. Even if these were possibly COVID-19 related delays (the item was apparently in Melbourne the whole time), communication and service from the store was poor

  • Cathy Green

Some staff are great, some are really pushy sales people. If you get the right one, its a great experience. They are all helpful and knowledgable, willing to assist to help you find the right furniture for your space. Great selection as this is a big floor space

  • Miss E. Brown

Domayne Belrose is the biggest joke of a business. Absolutely DO NOT buy from them. Worst customer service, managers will lie about delivery dates to scam you out of your money, staff are completely incompetent and cannot handle the simplest jobs.

  • Justine OBRIEN

If it is Electrical you can get it here at Harvey Norman. All the best value at the lowest prices from Harvey Norman. You can shop online and live as well. See the super range of the highest quality products here at Harvey Norman Belrose.

Purchased a new bed in store during the week, excellent price and really helpful in store customer service. The delivery service communication was excellent and the bed arrived on time. All out best all round service. Thank you Domayne.

  • Les K

Best to avoid. Over-priced furniture and bad customer service in the Belrose store,. A staff member referred me to Bunnings when I questioned $699 price for a coffee table which in the Domayne North Ryde store has $419 price tag.

  • Peter Klare

Dom Caboche is the most amazing person to deal with at Domayne Belrose, he goes above and beyond to please his customers, as my wife and I have experienced. There should be more Dom's in this world. Pam and Peter K
