I was impressed with this gym and made mental notes for feedback to my current gym manager where my contract is soon to expire. The facility was clean and smelled fresh when I walked in. I did not see a broken equipment with stickers in sight and in free weight area and basketball room; the weights and resistant bands were stacked and everything hung up - I was impressed and did my part to respect those protocols. The locker-room was clean! I observed on the sink area, toiletries complementary (combs, deodorant, lotion, etc....) that Ive never seen in any gym. There was an open shower-room to either rinse off from the pool or steam-room that was in the same area. There is also the option for privacy in showers with curtains. The steam-room was hotter than I expected because the steam heats up fairly quickly. Steam-room was in the mens locker while the pool, hotter and sauna are co-ed. Cons that I noted that prevented a 5-star rating - Parking was a bit tricky to find in the convention centre area. Tickets are validated for the gym. - Locker combinations are not user friendly because they stick or wont unlock when you have set your code. I had to go to the front desk to request the over-ride key 2 times for 1st locker and 2nd when I switched lockers. I see the options for the turn dial locks that may be a better option. Suggestion: Adjust the heat in steam-room so guys may sit and enjoy because it is too hot. I was only able to sit for about 3-5 mins because the heat was excessive. I was using a pass to check out the facility so Im unsure of their membership options. Overall, the facility was clean and appears well maintained. I was impressed!
This gym suits my needs to do PT, stretching and swim. I use a power wheelchair and this is truly a wheelchair accessible gym. I could not be happier with the staff and the quality of the amenities. There's a large wheelchair accessible shower with shower seat and grab bars. Although there is no wheelchair lift at the pool or hot tub, having an incomplete injury I use hands and knees. After my swim or when I get cold (as I can't regulate my body temp), I crawl over to the hot tub which is divided from the pool by a small wall. They have a dry sauna, a wet sauna, there's shampoo, soap and body lotion. The gym has a stretching machine for eight different muscle groups. As I can't do anything else aside from swimming, my review is based solely on the pool. Yes, the Downtown location probably shows its age here and there. But for me it's perfect. The attendants are great. I cannot wish for a nicer and more professiona l crew. However, I can see that there has been a lot of personnel changes including managers over the last year and a half. The current manager is fantastic, so hopefully that will adjust issues regarding membership. Give this gym a shot though; where else in Albuquerque would you find a pool, hot tub, wet and dry sauna in one location? They also have a ton of group exercise classes including spinning and yoga, and very motivating trainers, and nice members.
This was a good gym and everything was in a fairly good condition, probably because it is never busy which is great. However, I honestly didn’t feel like this facility was worth the money, it is not as nice as I expected. To me, it felt old. I feel like they also have many rooms (that look empty and have odd steps because nothing is on the same floor level) that people don’t even use, so it looks like wasted space with a weird layout. Overall I had an ok experience, but if you’re into gyms that feel new and bright (I thought it was kind of dark in there), I wouldn’t say this is the one, at least not this location.
I was interested in purchasing a membership, but that quickly changed when I hopped on a call with a representative. They would not give away pricing information until I had come into the gym. Would not give ranges of cost either. I felt extremely frustrated and disappointed by the lack of transparency. I've given my money to a gym that has all the pricing publicly available, as I believe it should be.
I absolutely love this location and the staff but being a downtown location I would think they’d have better hours so business people could get a workout before and after work. I end up having to find another location to workout end of day and weekends. I know hours changed for covid but I’m still waiting for the hours to be expanded so I can make this my home gym! We need weekends open.
I would’ve given five stars had I not walked in today to find the pool full of screaming unsupervised children splashing about throwing the physical therapy tools everywhere. Some of the members seem to think that the pool is a daycare for their children. Not on my dollar. If it ever happens again I am immediately terminating my membership and withholding all future payment.
What a great gym. This place has a lot to offer. I do lap swimming in the heated pool, and the hot tub is nice after a workout. I love the accomodations too in the locker room, and everything is so clean. Customer service is exceptional. I'm happy to be a member. I highly recommend this gym.
I love this small executive feeling health club. It has a dry sauna, steam saunas, a pool, a jacuzzi, racquetball courts, and all the equipment I need for a good workout. Never seems to crowded. Friendly staff and me, a super helpful, knowledgeable trainer!
Love this place for my lunchtime workout. Convenient spot. Cool staff. I really enjoy the body pump and body combat classes. The pool and sauna are perfect for me.
Looks like a nice place but they don't do day passes unfortunately
