I don’t know of the bartenders name but she is an absolute pig. An old couple of grand final night asked us to turn up the tv as it was very soft and they couldn’t hear. So my tipsy boyfriend tried to and pressed the wrong thing everyone was laughing about it no one at all was angry, she came out and called him a f***wit and a c**t. After I said to her why was she abusing him like this he was just trying to help she started shouting names and me and my friends. The older manager came out and accused us of bringing in drinks when we had been buying drinks all night and then came out with free food to apologise for her behaviour. I then called up the next day to say I was appalled and had never been treated like that by someone who is supposed to be at service. She was very apologetic but it’s not good enough and when I asked to speak to the owner she said she would give him my number. I never received a call. Would never go to this sh**hole again.

This pub has a great friendly feel. A lovely place to have a couple of beers on a weekend afternoon. It is quite a large pub and has a really nice big beer garden. It has a popular bistro and although I didnt eat, I did peruse the menu and it was quite extensive and moderately priced. Obviously abit of a "locals" however all the patrons were very nice and there was even a patron sitting at the tables out the front playing blues guitar which I really enjoyed. I will definitely be back.

Conveniently located right next to the train station, East Hills Hotel is a gem tucked away in the oft-overlooked riverfront suburbs in this neck of the woods. Signs of a recent renovation have given this homely pub a much more modern feel, and their extensive range of tap beers caters for even the most discerning tastes. The bistro offers nightly specials and great quality food - if you time it right you’re half a chance of throwing your hat in on the meat tray raffles of a weekend!

I was here for dinner last night, and I will never return. Had to listen to some skinny blonde with an American accent screaming at other staff members in the restaurant area.how unprofessional can you get?No cutlery available for my dinner, and to top it off there's an older skinny woman there working who looks like she's on meth walking around with a scowl on her face. I felt very uncomfortable here and I will never return. Worst pub I've ever visited in my life.Yuck!

Saturday 9th of sep I came in for dinner with my entire family. It was quite busy as it was a Saturday night but the service was on point. Jerome O’Shea was a new worker and it was his first shift , he was very polite, helpful and had great customer service , I left extremely impressed and satisfied.

Since the renovation this has become a favourite . But today ( Sunday ) I couldn’t believe the beautiful 2 piece band . If you’re not into 70s 80s then it may not be for you . But to chill will a couple of beverages and lunch on a Sunday arvo listening to the band was 10/10 . Rissoles and mash is what I decided on today and that didn’t disappoint. Staff are always friendly . Hope the band is back sooner rather than later .

Im sorry but you have lost us and our friends We have been regular diners at the bistro and heave always enjoyed the meals but this is the 2nd time we have gone for the Tuesday special only to be told you have run out and to order from the menu Hello?? it was only 8.00pm !! Surely you could have offered an alternative !! Very disappointing...Your chefs are good but your customer service sucks Very disappointing .

East Hills Hotel has a very family friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is amazing as well. I had a beautiful creamy smoked salmon with prawn pasta. 5 star meal. The new renovation and new furniture make this pub one of the most impressive pubs I've seen in Sydney. The great food and great selection of drinks from the bar, are backed up by even better service from it's friendly staff.

It was our first time at East Hills Hotel. We sat in the outdoor area, with the other smokers. It was a nice area and the beer was cold. Great so far. The problem, for my wife and I, was the many kids who were running around screaming and playing loudly, while their parents sat around drinking and eating. I don't necessarily blame the hotel, but it did spoil our visit to the hotel.

Friendly neighbour Hood pub. Looks like management have changed recently. Bistro seems modern and attractive. The menu has also undergone a welcome change. The outer seating area is an attraction. The bar is attractive with its old world charm and friendly service. For newcomers, there is a large parking area behind the venue. Also has a Gaming room with complimentary snacks.

I am not generally a Pub visitor but went to the East Hills Pub for a meal with my wife for a change. We were very impressed with the renovations that had been done and the food in the restaurant was excellent in value and portion size. Friendly staff, we have been back several tomes now and taken friends along for the experience. Go and have a look, you won't regret it.

I went on a Friday night. Nice big spacious bar and bistro with outdoor deck area. The outdoor deck has pool tables, large screen for the footy and plenty of heaters. Also VIP room for a slap. I had the steak sandwich for dinner which was really nice and was delivered promptly.

Won't be going back till they upgrade the kitchen. Second time I've gone for dinner and meals come out staggered and an hour later. Bar service slow, if they want to expand the place then they need to put more staff on and upgrade the kitchen. Otherwise limit the amount of customers so they can cope. Crossroads for the next 6 months for me.

Had a drink last night with friend's but a bit disappointed one of the bar girl, make us leave we are just started drinking and she complain about we must have to order food too. well its not dinner time yet and 2 of our mates they had there food already we are just waiting the time that everyone wants to eat and get food together.

What an amazing time my family had today for Mother’s Day, I’ve been here a few times now and each time has been great. Thank you to the kitchen and bistro staff for making our time even better. Big thanks to Eddie, Jin and Lorna for the amazing food and service they provided today to make my mums day even better will be back.

Have been here a number of times BUT today was soooo poor. Pool tables short of balls no staff in gaming & really poor staff efforts on the bar. Was today an exception Hope so cause I recommend this place to so many people. Pick your game up guys if you want people to keep coming back.

First-time customer, great customer service, value for money menu, a great venue inside and out in the courtyard. Covid-19 check-in & out, room sizes big enough to be safe. Play area for kids. Large tv's everywhere to watch sport. Catering done well, tables cleared quickly. Wheelchair access. I will visit again.

  • Jake Kremers

Been knocking around this joint since a pup. When the out door bit had a chalk board but no chalk and the oldies would get us a jug of water to share. Lucky there was a tap in summer and an old barbie for winter. It's all changed now 'family friendly' they call it. I'm off to the dog at Padstow these days.

  • Jessica O'Shannessy

Very impressed with the staff and the meals. Had a bad experience here 6 months ago. Obviously they have changed staff. They were lovely. Looked after us so well. Definitely above and beyond. We needed somewhere disabilities friendly. Couldn’t recommend this place higher. Will definitely be back.

  • Sam Hewitt

Typical local pub. Tried ordering one of the weekly specials but they'd ran out. The kids nuggets and chips left my 8 year old hungry with barely even a handful of chips. We only went as part of a group booking and wouldn't go back by choice.

Nice pub with a very modern bistro, would help if the bartender actually sent my order to the kitchen instead of me waiting an hour to find out it was never send through, while I was still charged for it, not sure how that's possible

The Bistro is pretty good. I love their Schnitzel. It's a great place for a casual weekend lunch with friends and there is an enclosed kids playground in the bistro to keep the Rugrats busy and keep their noise inside.

I had the Beer battered fish and chips and I wouldn’t recommend it, nothing like beer battered fish I’ve had at other restaurants and the salad was nothing more than a few leaves on the side of the plate, in fact I couldn’t finish it and we left..

After a very long and adventurous hike through Georges River National Park this was the perfect place for our recovery drink! Professional and friendly staff - welcoming ambience and excellent food menu. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

We visited the bistro on a Monday night. It appears to be very popular with the locals and deservedly so. I had the Irish Sausages with bacon mash, onion and cabbage. They were absolutely delicious! The staff and the bar were excellent and

Good food and nice play area. The play area does need to be monitored by management though as we had children throwing shoes so we had to remove our little one.

I went to the lounge and saw a bright light. I found myself floating into a UFO and was seduced by an intergalactic barmaid. I then found myself at East Hills park with a sore arse and fifty cents in my pocket.

The outdoor area is very nice when the sun is out, and the pub is rather quiet midweek during the day. The food is of a better than acceptable quality, and the alcohol range is impressive for a suburban pub.

Atmosphere around the hotel is great. Large choice of inside eating or out. Designated smoking area which does not make you look like a person with a discese that has to be hidden from view.

Favourite pub in the area. Lovely staff, nice food, good choices of drinks and family friendly. Nice outdoor deck, perfect on a sunny sunday afternoon listening to live music.

  • Lesley McGuirk

The food is the best it's been, really nice! Especially the $10 steak on a Monday night, the $10 schnitzel on a Tuesday night, the rissoles, the salmon and the half chicken.

  • Colin MOORE

It was terrible we left. We bought a drink to take to the pokies. That room was full of smoke, so we moved to the sports bar and that was smoke filled too! This is 2022!!!

Would love somewhere to sit and have a drink without the races in my ear...There’s the bistro or outside - a quiet bar for a drink is no longer. Pity! More

Good cold black beer, as for the makeover it will appeal to the younger patrons. Much preferred the original small village pub it was before the changes.
