"It’s a super easy walk out to this lookout with a wide track and a only a small incline"
"Great sweat"
"Part of knapsack reserve we found it dog friendly with plenty of tracks from flat open fire trails to challenging tracks like the zigzag I wouldn't take young children down the zigzag track its a steep track with hundreds of stairs but many other sections are great for kids"
"Elizabeth lookout looks over the Penrith area"
"Not the most spectacular view in the area, but easy access along the walking track"
It’s a super easy walk out to this lookout with a wide track and a only a small incline. Awesome views of the city once you arrive. You have to work a little to get the best views and there’s almost always going to be trees and overgrowth in you way. Pretty neat way to frame the view though if that’s your thing…
Great sweat. Went twice. Could definitely put more signage as we got lost the first time round. The second time was even better. Although the intensity says hard. We are in no means any type of fit but to my surprise we made it. Couple breathers along the way but we made it …

Elizabeth lookout looks over the Penrith area. There are a few different ways to get to this spot. Either an approx 1km 20min walk from Barnett st or a long steep 30/40min walk up through Knapsack stairs from Knapsack Viaduct Trailhead.
Not the most spectacular view in the area, but easy access along the walking track. We had prams and young children you loved it! The tables under the hut show off the views, and the seclusion of the bush. Lovely for picnics!
Nice views and there are picnic tables here. You can see all the way to the City and North Sydney from here. You have to leave your car at the carpark and walk down the walking trails for 10-15 mins to get to the lookout.
One of the easiest walks in the Blue Mountains. It is close to the highway and easy enough to get to and from the town of Glenbrook. Lots of different paths around but most importantly you can smash it out within an hour.
An awesome veiw over Penrith with views as far as Sydney. Only downside to the view is the growth in trees is starting to block some of the views. Specially from the hand railing. Lookout has a sheltered picnic table.
Easy walk from Knapsack Reserve. Wide, flat tracks. Good mountain biking tracks here. Shelter, no toilets or bin though. View not that exciting, but can keep walking to Viaduct for the more fit people.
Beautiful place with great view across Sydney on a clear day. Also has a large covered area with two picnic tables. The walk is very easy and only has one slight incline near the lookout.
This place is good for your kids and pets. Great for walking biking. You will be excited when you find the way to go, all directions will be the end up with the main track. …
A nice lookout only 1.1km from the car park on Barnett street. A nice flat walk to the lookout with a lot of nature to see along the way. A picnic spot is located at the lookout.
Nice picnic spot but the views, at present, are rather restricted by the trees. I'm not a fan of cutting down trees, so it's probably best not to expect much from this lookout
You don't have to travel up the hill to get great bushwalks they are on your doorstep at Emu plains. Shout out to Council who are upgrading the tracks
Tough and tiring walk getting up steps from Knapsack Reserve and Vault but views are well worth the pain ;-}. Easier access from top carpark.
Elizabeth lookout is a perfect little walk into the bush, on a clear day you get a lovely view of the city in the distance!
Amazing morning viewing. With Sydney in lockdown the sky’s are clear and a beautiful panoramic view of the Sydney basin
Was amazing, views spectacular and walk was great for the animals. However, no bathroom only issue. Thank u austraya
Great walk. Lots of stairs and a great view over the Sydney basin. Worth the exercise. Dog friendly as well!
Short walk, took about 15 minutes. Nice sheltered picnic benches to sit on. Not busy, easy trail to follow.
Great place for taking your dogs for a run or walk along the trials in the reserve leading to the lookout.
Long walk with below average views at the end. Good for locals for walks but not worth driving far for.
Great for a short bushwalk with fairly simple walks out to a nice lookout with covered picnic area.
Beautiful place, lots of stairs, not for the faint hearted. Very serene atmosphere.
Great place for exercise both on foot and on bike. Good view towards the city.
Easy walk on dirt track for kids n dogs on leash. Park in Barnet st Glenbrook
it's a nice spot, very busy and much better lookouts close by
