I don't usually write reviews, but for this place I really had to. Been here 3 times so far and I've always had the best time here. The first time I came here was around last year (I think?) with 'Perpetual Motion'. After an hour's drive to this place, we did initially had our doubts because it was located pretty far from our usual hangout and they didn't had much reviews then. And I still remember when we drove in for the first time (the last time slot during weekday 8pm, it was pretty dark!), our group joked that it might be a trap by a serial killer (LOL!). The minimal signs at the entrance didn't help! But I'm glad they decided to have a big banner at the entrance this time. We walked in to the building and we were immediately greeted by Julia, who instantly quelled our fear with her cheerfulness and enthusiasm. Her husband Darren joined in very soon after and they both shared their experiences of how and why they decided to open an escape room. I already felt that we are definitely going to have a good time even before we did it. And for sure we did! If you have done 'Perpetual Motion', you must do their other 2 rooms 'Framed' and 'Yin Yang' that just launched a few weeks ago. They have lots of puzzles and I love how they are not linear and allows different individuals tackle multiple puzzles at the same time. Minimal downtime and you will always have something to do. Darren and Julia listens and seeks customer feedback and constantly tweaks their rooms. We love the lengthy conversations we have after the sessions and we didn't want to leave! It is not just an escape room. It is the whole experience, the whole package. I also recommend you do their Escape Room in a box (or chest). We did their third room 'Yin Yang' last night, and they have been very consistent with the puzzle quality and their production value. They went all out for all of us escapees. They already have plans to create new rooms in the future and I can't wait to come back! LOVE THIS PLACE! Can't emphasize this enough. I had my best escape room memories here. Don't let the distance stop you. You WILL NOT regret it. AMAZING!!!

Beyond our expectations! I visited with family from the US - we were a group of 3 adults and 2 teenagers. We were relative novices having each been to only 1 or 2 escape rooms in different locations previously. We LOVED our visit to Elude! The high ceilings and layout of the room meant that we were able to easily navigate the space as a group of 5 - unlike other escape rooms we had been to. There was something for everyone in the challenges presented and prompted us to work as a team. It worked well for our mixed age group and would also be great for primary school aged kids to enjoy. But what made this experience even more special was the way that Darren took us through our escape journey and explained details we hadn’t noticed. We all learnt more about ourselves and how our brains work - or don’t work :). I especially loved this location. It is not hard to get to from almost anywhere. Worth the drive to have the opportunity to visit this area - including as well as the fun at Elude. There are lots of great places to eat as well as gorgeous scenery to enjoy. Darren and Julia have clearly dedicated time, effort and enthusiasm into creating Elude and in ensuring that everyone attending has an amazing experience. I can’t wait to return to try more rooms and was especially excited to hear that there are even more in the making! Thank you for a fun, challenging and educational escape room adventure!!

A fantastic escape room that I hold in high regard. One of the best escape rooms to do in Sydney, right up there with the likes of Cipher room and Narrow in my opinion. I have completed all 4 rooms they have to offer at the moment (12/04/2023) breaking it down into 4 categories; Puzzles: The puzzles are lovely, a fantastic mixture of both practical as well as combi, number and letter locks. Our team never felt that there was too many of one or the other. It flowed well with the story and we never got lost. A great hallmark of a well made room. Plot: Not to say too much so as to not spoil the surpise. The plots within the rooms are fantastic, the attention to detail as well as the easter eggs you can find if you are fan of the overarching theme are great. Personnel: The staff are lovely, Julia was our games master for all of out rooms and from the time you walk in and in her care she is more than happy to go the extra mile to ensure you have a wonderful time at Elude. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the name of the other gentlemen who I assume is her partner in creating the rooms. They are a dynamic duo. Price: Pricing is standard, given the effort put into the rooms - its more than worth it. Overall: 10/10 room that I would recommend Elude if you are a season veteran or just dipping your toes into escape rooms.

Perpetual Motion: The positives are: The lady running it was very friendly. The waiting room was nice. The negatives were: We did the room as a 6 person team. The intro area and initial puzzle is in small not well lit area. It was hard/impossible for us all to work on it at once I felt claustrophobic. Once we were in the main room it was still badly lit. The puzzles were all sequential so if you got stuck on one bit you couldn't move on to another puzzle. And you couldn't split in to smaller groups as it was only one puzzle at a time. Some of the puzzles were only 3 people puzzles. In short it seemed to me to inappropriate for 6 people. Also I found one of the puzzles not that great. We had about 6 clues and we knew kind of what we were meant to do before we got one clue, but it didn't really seem to make sense. And the clues didn't really help. The clues we got weren't in a timely manner to help us get to the end either so we missed the end. I personally didn't think any of the puzzles particularly interesting. So overall I can see they made a great effort, it's a good room, but it's not amazing IMHO.

My partner and I absolutely loved all (currently) 4 rooms, we have now done 30 rooms, and the rooms at Elude stand out above the rest. The attention to detail is impeccable, along with their creativity and obvious passion for escape rooms. We initially went on a weekday, having booked just one room, but we had such a great time, and with Torquay being opened for the first time that very day, we had to stick around and try it too! Julia and Darren take the time to run us through each element of the room after the game, which is something we really enjoyed, and haven't experienced to the same extent anywhere else. We have spent so much time just chatting away about different ideas and rooms with Julia in particular, and we can't wait for more rooms to open in the future! There were unique puzzles and elements in each room, and although we didn't quite escape any of them in time, we had so much fun that we didn't mind at all - which is unusual for us! Highly recommend anyone to give it a go; take their advice in the order of which to begin your experience though!

By far the best Escape room place in NSW!! Firstly, the owners are so welcoming and lovely, which immediately starts your experience on the right foot. The entire place is clean and well presented, starting from the walk from the cars all the way to the reception, with numerous puzzles along the way (check the toilets). The rooms themselves are very attentive to detail and have so many puzzles involved. All rooms flow smoothly and have a story involved which the owners clearly explain to you after your room, clarifying any questions you may have. The rooms are very well thought out and its clear the owners have taken so much time and care to ensure each room is perfect. These rooms were all different to your usual rooms which often have similar puzzles or designs, all originally created by the owners. Not a single negative about this place. Would highly recommend ticking this place off the list. I will 100% be returning when more rooms open in the future. 100/10. Best in the escape room business.

First time in an escape room, and the experience was great. We were made thoroughly welcome, and the briefing was both entertaining and informative. It really set us up for success! We went through the “Perpetual Motion” room, which is the beginners level. (And I would advise those who have never been in an escape room before to start at this level.) Based mainly around locks (of all types) clues to open the locks ranged from difficult to bloody confusing puzzles! Solving the puzzles often involved thinking outside our established frames of reference. We managed to escape the room with 3 minutes to spare (which was in the top 20%) which is pretty good even if I say so myself. If there is one criticism it was the very steep slope from the parking area to the rooms. OK for the young and fit, not so good for us oldies. Maybe they could look at some easier access. But, as I said, the staff were great, the room was great, the puzzles were interesting and I will certainly be back.

My friends and I returned to do Framed and Perpetual Motion. Both were amazing! You can tell the room was thought out very carefully to ensure that the puzzle solving could transition smoothly. Everything made sense, whether it be the puzzles itself or where to use the solution. They really were able to immerse us into the rooms with the amazing sets designs and props used. I liked how there wasn't really any irrelevant props that were useless and time wasting that other rooms do. I have now completed all indoor rooms at Elude and I can say they’re the best in NSW. You can tell the Owners really love what they do, and the rooms are thought out to the slightest detail, as you'll find out when they give you a lovely briefing at the end of every game. Elude is very consistent in that all the rooms are high quality, even to their puzzles they place in the toilet. The only bummer is that all the indoor rooms have been completed but we will definitely be back for the outdoor one!

My husband and I visited the Elude escape rooms yesterday, and we had the most amazing experience. We booked the perpetual motion room, and we were looked after from start to finish. Emma was so lovely and gave us a great introduction and information before we started. I must say that this was our second escape room experience, but the first at Elude, and we were quite hopeless with all the clues :). But there were great hints given every time we needed them. The room itself is so well planned, and the attention to detail is incredible. You can see the passion and hard work that has gone into these rooms. We did not escape in one hour, but we really appreciated the extra time. Loved everything about our visit from start to finish, and would love to come back and try one of their other rooms. As Hills residents, we feel so lucky to have escape rooms of this superb quality so close to us, and would recommend this to everyone.

Wonderful time spent at Elude Escape rooms this morning. Wanted to give my visiting adult family something different to do while in town, and so glad we tried Elude escape rooms. Despite both my mum and sister having operations earlier this year and still not being fully mobile, they could easily participate. Lots of different challenges, so we all had a chance to uncover the secrets to escape. When we got stuck, there was guidance available (got to be an awesome job being the gamesmaster!). Owners very friendly, passionate and helpful without interfering with your enjoyment. Highly recommend as a team building, communication building experience, as well as a different outing for friends or adult family members. Look forward to new rooms!

Darren and Julia are passionate escape room enthusiasts and this shows in each of their rooms. Currently our team of 4 have completed Perpetual Motion, Framed, Yin Yang and Torquay. My personal favourites would be Framed and Torquay - such clever puzzles and great flowing rooms! We are looking forward to trying out their new outdoor escape room Stumped in the near future. Darren and Julia are also the creators of the Escape Rooms Australia e-magazine which is full of news relating to new rooms around Australia and lots of interesting articles. They are warm, welcoming and always up for a chat about escape rooms and are excellent games masters.

Wow! We had so much fun today and still buzzing from the experience. It was the first escape room for our son and what a great way to celebrate his 7th birthday. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves whilst showing him the ropes of this brilliant activity. Our game master, Darren, was great at helping us through our room, dropping us great hints to keep our momentum and adrenaline going when we needed it. The puzzles were fun, perplexing in just the right way and we had plenty of laughs throughout. What a great activity to do as husband and wife, too! Sharpened our communication skills and teamwork! We will be back very soon for more.

Tried to book for my birthday for just my fiancé and I since I wanted something fun for just the two of us. They said they couldn't book less than 3 people for a weekend but allow 2 people bookings in the week. My partner and I work fulltime jobs in the week. They called back to say they would allow 2 people to book on a weekend providing it was a walk in last minute. I explained that they were asking me to gamble on the time we wanted being available and risk wasting my fuel and birthday to drive out there for that. Really disappointing response from the owner :(

I’ve been to 4 different Escape Room companies and Elude is by far the best! Amazing, friendly, attentive staff that also make it fun while you’re in there. The puzzles are well thought out and very challenging - but not impossible! The design of the rooms are beautiful and match the themes perfectly. Was also granted extra time and was able to complete the room due to this, and after staff will go through the room with you and discuss which parts slowed you down. Loved it and will be definitely coming back when the new room is built!

One of the most fun escape room places in Sydney. Rooms created by the wonderfully creative and energetic Game Masters Darren and Julia, you can see their passion and love for escape rooms shine and emanate throughout each masterpiece they create. The experience is just like any escape room, except you're matched with unique puzzles and a warm atmosphere building story that captivates you into their 1 hour worlds. Eludes Escape Rooms is highly recommended to visit for anyone with the interest of trying out an escape room.

The best escape room experience in Sydney. The place is welcoming and easy to find. When we arrived, we were welcomed by the game master, who explained clearly to us about the room we selected, how the puzzles are structured and how we should proceed. The escape room is beautifully designed, the puzzles are interesting and challenging. The game master monitor the progress constantly and will deliver a hint if necessary. The escape rooms are being changed over time, so can come few times and have different experiences.

Had such an amazing experience yesterday playing Perpetual Motion with my partner! The room was very well put together, I found the use of objects in the room and the type of puzzles we had to complete very clever. I particularly liked our Games Master - Julia. When we escaped she gave us such a great breakdown of our decision making process throughout the game, which was really interesting to hear considering everything happens so fast during the game haha. Will be back for sure! Thanks for the great time!

Such a great experience today at Elude. One of the best Escape rooms we’ve done. Lots of challenges (and laughs and a bit of stress by us!) The Elude team were awesome! We are looking forward to going back and trying the other rooms (We did Torquay Beach Room). Extra bonus was we used the NSW Govt parent vouchers and it was super easy and great to support local business. A great day with the family to finish the school holidays (and to celebrate a Birthday)! Highly Recommend. 10/10 Thanks Elude!

My group and I did Torquay and Yin Yang and both were some of the best rooms we have done! The puzzles were unique and really made you think and the sets/ props really immersed you into the story. Julia was was your game master, she was lovely and gave us help when needed and her hints were not straight up answers just nudges in the right direction. You can tell that the owners really put thought into their rooms and care about the experience of the players. We will be back for the other rooms!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is how you design an escape room! We did Perpetual Motion and it was some of the most fun I've ever had in an escape room. There are so many unique puzzles that have you genuinely thinking out of the box. Every puzzle connects to the theme of the room and challenges you without making you frustrated. Also, the centrepiece of this room is so freaking cool! If you want an authentic escape room with plenty of fun puzzles, I strongly recommend Perpetual Motion.

Excellent room and lovely game master. Spent about an hour after the game having a chat and some feedback on what we could do better as a team to succeed in record timing in other rooms. What stood out in this room were a couple of puzzles which were new and interesting from the many we've been through already. The overall experience, whilst challenging, was absolutely fun and cannot wait to get through the other two rooms. Definitely recommended!!

This was our first escape room experience and I think the bar has been set very high for future escape rooms. Julia, our game master was so lovely, she explained everything to us, gave us helpful hints along the way and even took the time at the end of the session to walk through the room. The attention to detail was very well thought out, it was clean, welcoming and i can’t wait to go back. Thank you for making our first experience so enjoyable.

It was our first Escape room experience, and we loved it. The host was wonderful and very patient, even though we were probably one of the clumsiest teams he had seen in a long time. All of us, especially the kids enjoyed the whole experience and we somehow managed to muddle our way through it (with lots of hints and a little extra time). I highly recommend Elude games and we are sure to go back to tackle the other rooms they have there.

What an amazing experience! The room is designed very creatively, so it keeps you engaged and on your toes. The staff are extremely friendly, supportive and helpful. As a bonus it is located in a quiet and beautiful suburb, but there are still great places to dine and shop nearby. Small rooms, big challenges! These escape rooms are awesome. They each have a theme. I've only done the indoor ones, but they have outdoor ones and some interesting new games coming soon! The place is located in the semi-rural town of Galston. The staff are friendly, and their animated nature makes for an encapsulating experience. Highly recommend you test your brains and try these escape rooms. You won't be dissapointed

Really fantastic escape rooms and friendly hosts! We tried the easiest room with two people and it was very challenging. The host is very attentive and is flexible in providing just enough extra clues so that you do not get completely stumped but allows for you to still be challenged. You can tell a lot of effort has gone into the creation of the rooms. Will be back for sure to try out the other rooms!

Took my sister here on a birthday surprise and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We tried the Perpetual Motion room, which had a good level of stimulating puzzles and challenges for first timers like us. While we didn't make it out, we were close thanks to Darren who was great with helping us along and making it an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend it and look forward to trying out the other rooms!

We were the last group to come through on a Friday night but instead of being rushed out so they could close up, Julia was AMAZING and sat there to chat with us about all the different escape room experiences she’s had and recommended other escape rooms for us to try out. Great customer service and awesome, fun and challenging rooms. We’ve done 2 of them and will definitely be back to do the rest!!

First ever escape room for most of our group of 4. We had 75mins and over 10 locks to open. The team at Elude have a great setup and are friendly and personable. The room was really well laid out with lots to discover and decode. Having done one now we would definitely do more. The reception has a lot of other great puzzle activities and games too so you can take your next challenge with you.

1st time at Elude completed perpetual motion room with my partner not without plenty of help haha The puzzles where unique and very clever really impressed. My partner and I have done 4-5 escape rooms before , this one was by far our favourite will be returning to challenge ourselves more with the harder rooms. Took my son and his friends for his birthday. They enjoyed it and can see the real disappointment when they took more than an hour to solve all the puzzles. I thought they wouldn't care whether they solved it or not. But they were really interested, hence the disappointment. In this case, disappointment is a good sign. Now my son wants to do a different room with the family.

What a worthwhile experience!! The team at Elude were lovely, knew their stuff and had all the equipment to facilitate these adventures into the mysterious and challenging unknowns or...portals behind doors. Highly recommended for team bonding or even for a different type of date night/day experience. Thank you team for hosting us and providing this unique experience.

Did this room with my best friend and although we may have been the stupidest people ever it was so fun! It was my first time doing an escape room and I had the best experience. So much more then you’d expect!! Afterwards they even explained everything and how funny it was to watch us. We were given extra time and that really helped. Would highly recommend.

As the most local escape room, I cant believe it took 5 years to know you were here - Especially as we are ER enthusiasts! We did the Torquay room, really high production and puzzle quality and our gamemaster was excellent throughout and provided a great recap at the end (i wish all rooms did this!) We will definitely be back to do the rest of the rooms!!

My daughter had her birthday party at Elude Escape Rooms today and absolutely loved it. The staff were so friendly and accomodating. The marquee was also very convenient for cake and snacks after the escape room experience. My daughter would like to try a different escape room for her party next year!! We celebrated a birthday with friends, and my 12 year old and her friends absolutely loved the Perpetual Motion room, their first escape room experience. The facilitator was friendly, waiting room was very fun with puzzles on the coffee table for the kids, and lots to look at. They all certainly want to come back. Thanks Elude Escape Rooms - Galston!

We all really enjoyed our time here, it was a wonderful way to spend an hour with our boys. The room set up is very well done - professional and looks fantastic. Clues given when needed and the puzzles were so good. Highly recommend a trip out to here as a group / family event….we will certainly be going back to do the other 3 rooms and outdoor game.

It was our family's first escape room experience and we totally loved it. Wonderful guide who briefed us with all the aspects and guided us with helpful hints to help us through the experience. Would highly recommend to try the escape rooms out, helps promote teamwork and exercise the brain cells to think outside the box and solve the puzzles.

I’ve been to upwards of 20 rooms in Australia and abroad and this is definitely among the best! My group of four who have a good amount of experience were challenged by the puzzles and the story was very entertaining and well thought out. You can tell the Elude Escape room have so much passion for it - you will not be disappointed!

First time visitor to an escape room and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We did "Perpetual Motion" and it was both challenging and entertaining. Our host Michelle explained everything very well before we entered and gave us clues when we were stuck. Definitely plan on returning to do the other rooms which are apparently harder.

We just completed the yin and yang room, and even though we didn't make it out in time we had fun doing the challenging puzzles. The theme was well done with alot if surprises. The host was really informative, and inviting and everyone enjoyed their time. Looking forward to coming back in the near future to do the other two.

Fantastic escape room absolutely full of fun puzzles that really challenged us even though we've done heaps of escape rooms before. We did Perpetual Motion and it was very immerssive and had believable props and decorations which made it amazing. There were lots of rooms and places to explore. My kids loved it too.

Took the kids to Elude to play Torquay. The room was well thought out with lots of different types of puzzles to solve. It was very fun to play but was a bit too hard with the time limit. We were very thankful for the clues and extra time. Will be back to try other rooms. Thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommended!

Did the Perpetual Motion room with my partner last weekend and had an amazing time. The staff are friendly, approachable and the Game master does everything possible to make it a memory experience. My daughter had her 12th birthday party at Elude and it was fantastic. The location, parking, rooms, and waiting room for the parents was organised, clean, modern and best of all the kids had a ball. We even had a coffee made whilst we waited for them to escape! Thank you, Elude Escape Rooms; we will be back!

We recently tried the Elude Escape Rooms for my daughter's 10th birthday and absolutely loved it! We weren't sure what to expect but surprises at every turn, really got everyone engaged, we loved it. Did Framed and Yin & Yang in a team and enjoyed every moment of it! Amazing attention to detail and very challenging puzzles. Julia, our friendly gamemaster, also offered to walk us through all the puzzles and gave us plenty of great feedback on how we performed as a team. Will definitely return for more!

We did Torquay at Elude Escape rooms yesterday and loved it, so many unexpected turns and surprises. Some unique ideas that we haven’t seen before which was really refreshing after playing about 60 rooms, well worth the drive out there. We are going back today to do another room! Highly recommended …

Amazing ! We have never done an escape room before but my son wanted to do one for his 11th Birthday…. We went with 3 of his friends and had a great time ! Harry the game master was so patient and fabulous with a group of rowdy kids!! Highly recommend we will be back but without the kids !!!

We’ve been here before and had to come back again. Today we did the framed room. All of the props were great. It wasn’t super easy but the puzzles were super clever and really quite inventive. The team were responsive if we needed any help. Would highly recommend doing escape rooms here

Sensational family fun! Perpetual motion was a wonderful brain teaser with plenty of aha! moments. Very satisfying to work out the clues and escape. Helpful, friendly staff! We'll be back next holidays to test out our wits in the next room. I highly recommend the experience.

Perpetual motion was excellent! The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when our youngest was scared and needed to go outside. The puzzles were very well done, and it was nice to see an escape room with plenty of space to move around! We will be back for more!

Absolutely amazing, hosted by professionals who are extremely friendly and helpful, the location is amazing. The escape room we did had a mixed level of puzzles with very well timed hints if needed. Would highly recommend their new outdoor experience that’s opening soon.

Fun and challenging at the same time. Very cleverly put together and the rooms are aesthetically pleasing. Our host was very welcoming and hospitable as well as very helpful with some of the clues when we needed them. Would love to try another escape there.

We did the Perpetual Motion room, enjoyed it a lot. The puzzles were interesting and the whole experience was well organised. (Note that there is a bit of walk from the parking to the rooms, so be prepared in case of bad weather)

They are very passionate about what they do there. We played Perpetual motion- easily one of the best escape rooms we have been to. The puzzles are very thoughtful in its setup. I would definitely recommend it to others.

Attended birthday party here, the kids said the puzzles were interesting, took them 50 mins to escape . Outdoor 2 big tables under cover.

Kids absolutely loved it. Half of them in Perpetual Motion, half in Torquay. All came out raving. Brilliant idea for a birthday (10yo).
