Gas station
"Got to the garage just after 18h00 this evening"
"17/03/21 @ about 6:30am, I come to this garage most mornings"
"Most of the guys there work well and are very nice"
"False Advertising Frauds!! I was advised by the petrol attendant that if you fill over 50 lt Desiel, you would be given a free 2lt cold drink"
"Service is non existent"
Got to the garage just after 18h00 this evening. There was a queue of cars extending way beyond the garage area. I was behind a car and got to the pump all excited - assistance should have been soon. To my disappointment there was only 1 service person in sight. I got out of my car and walked to the window - only to be informed by an elderly lady behind the glass that they only have 2 service persons for night shift! I left and went to the nearest other garage where service was 95% better! And no queue with 4 or 5 people to service the area. Ps. I suppose under lockdown level 1 - after 18h00 is probably night shift!!!
17/03/21 @ about 6:30am, I come to this garage most mornings. I never wrote a review because I thought it was just a ounce off thing but numerous times now already the service at the pumps have been slow and needless to say horrible! And the card machines are consistently faulty. I would suggest avoid coming here when in a hurry. There's so many petrol attendants just standing by the cashier's window, they look at you but don't even have the decency to say "sorry, just give us a few minutes while we sort out an issue" if that's even what they doing. Avoid coming here if you can!
Most of the guys there work well and are very nice. Not sure if it's new guys working there that helped my wife. They damaged my car twice and I ignored it the first time. Yesterday they threw too much diesel and it spilt on my car and rim, and they left it there for me to find it hours later. They didn't even bother cleaning it off. Then again damaged my car, scratching it now on 2 separate occasions. Now I will have to check them everytime they fill up or I have to use another garage.
False Advertising Frauds!! I was advised by the petrol attendant that if you fill over 50 lt Desiel, you would be given a free 2lt cold drink. After spending R1400, which equates to 60lt. I was denied the promotion and the attendant that advised me of the promotion, cowardly denied ever telling me. I believe that this is a plot by Management of the station to get customers to spend their hard earned money. Do not trust this company!!!
Service is non existent. Avoid. Been waiting on the forecourt for more than 10 min now and will be driving away after this post. Edit : as at 13 Nov have received 4 missed called from Jhb number and not sure if related to this review. the number cannot be dialed so I have not been able to return the call. Would suggest the customer service team use their CRM to set up a telephonic appointment.
After putting in fuel it did not show on the fuel gauge. I went to speak to the manager who did not seem friendly to start with. After explaining the situation she just said that they get this complaint often, it was my vechile's gauge and refused to investigate further. After getting frustrated, I decided to leave. Upon filling up the next station the gauge imediatley indicated fuel.
Fast, efficient, service with a smile. I did not ask for anything else, except fuel, tyres, water, oil, windows cleared and checked, even asked if there is anything else? In this enduring times all I could do was to give a broad smile and good tip. I thoroughly enjoyed the attendants' enthusiasm. Younger generation can learn from the older. Pity I lost his name.
I was so excited when they opened but they have a very small selection of Woolworths goods and we need Coffee please, Good coffee! The nearest coffee shop is in Plattekloof CENTRE which is a mile away. It is Friday at 6:25 pm and there are no hamburger rolls, pancakes and no hot cross buns. These are standard items that should always be in stock.
I don't know why I still bother with engen sonnendal. Even when I'm desperate I try avoiding this garage. Terrible service. On multiple multiple occasions. Air pumps are constantly broken. You wait so long for assistance clients start driving away. How management hasn't looked into this heaven knows its been bad for so long
The service level in the Woolworths store is consistently appalling. Cashiers do not greet, are rude and have attitude. This sort of behavior has been experienced on every visit to this store. Until this has been sorted out I will not suport this store any longer. I have also reported this to Woolworths Head Office.
Staff always friendly but dont go there when Mosque is on because u cant get a parking despite the signs that say "For Engen customers only". No wheel clamping gets done. Rather go to Platterkloof. I also hurt my leg by walking past the wood they sell as it sticks out and I still have a bump under my skin.
On 20/04/21 i was helped by Yusuf...his customer skills is a 100%, he even made me feel special by asking how my day was at work while checking my oil and water! That was a first for me at a Garage...it was a service with a smile and could see he takes great pride in his work. Keep up the good work …
They're often very busy, they don't sell gas, and their convenience store is too, too, too expensive. One star because the last time I used them, I was the only one at the pumps and the petrol attendants ignored me for 5 minutes. I had to get out of the vehicle and ask them to do their job.
Staff has no interest, they all have a lekker chat, after sitting around for 15min a petrol attendant finally decided to help the person next to me who just arrived. So I obviously left. This is also not the first time this has happened at this garage. Poor poor service.
Worst garage ever. I fueled up and asked if I can just use the toilet to urinate and was not allowed to use this toilet even though I offered the pay. The manager on duty was rude and not helpful. How can you call yourself a service station? Will never use you again
Recently rebuilt filling station near the N1 Motorway. The Woolworths store stocks a much wider range of food and drinks that would normally be expected at a fuel station. On three occasions I had a valve cap missing after having my tires' pressure checked.
I drove to all Engen branches in Parow and your branch was the only branch where I could use pay via my phone with Wicode (snapscan) All other branches have been offline for months. Thank you for being fully operational and attentive to your clients.
For a Muslim owned garage it’s pathetic. Does not stock halaal products at the woolies... plus manager and owner very rude as if they are doing you a favor. Very bad service and definitely not recommended. Rather use the Engen at Plattekloof village.
The customer service inside the shop is horrendous. Often at time Woolworths products are all over the place and unsealed. Hardly ever get offered a bag and their communication skills are terrible. The petrol attendants are however great.
Just popped in to grab some supplies for supper. No sanitizer anywhere close to the baskets. The baskets are clearly grubby, full of marks and sticky stuff. A breeding ground for Covid-19. Woolworths you need to keep your eye on this lot.
The staff provide exceptionally good customer service except the Manager and owner who treat their staff badly and shout at them in front of clients. This 5 star rating is only for the staff and not management!!
I arrived at this garage and there was a line, the attendant decided to serve a car and then put a cone as soon as the car left I had to move and queue all over again behind other cars for a further 10 mins
Staff at petrol station and Woolworths always very friendly and helpful. In my opinion, the best 24 hour convenient store in the Northern Suburbs (great variety, fresh products and reasonably priced).
Worst customer service.. I will never go there ever. Staff are more concerned about their own personal stuff than actually helping customers. Managers not much better, last time they wil ever see me.
Slow service, staff choosing who they want to help whether you were there first. They only clean certain cars windows which didn't even asked to get cleaned. At least I got the petrol that I wanted.
I've always had a good experience at this Garage. My only concern is why the diesel price is much higher than most fill stations in the surrounding area, close to 80 cents more.
Extremely slow in the mornings, too few petrol attendants appointed or on shift, has happened every time ive come here in the morning. always has pumps closed off too. b
Great Engen, staff is always friendly and helpful. The little shop inside has a Woolworths too so you can get all the essentials you need and some snack goodies.
Similar experience to other reviews - sit for ages only to watch people that arrived after you get served first. No thanks, avoid this Engen.
The staff are very friendly. Always daily specials on the food. Petrol attendents are very helpful. I pop in a few times a week …
Engen you are disgusting selling masks for R40 but not one of your poor staff is wearing one. Clearly dont care about their safety.
The staff are very friendly and most times care about their customer. Even though not all of them I do recommend the gas station.
Fantastic service by Sharief who helped me with a jerry can so I could help a friend stuck on the N1 that had run out of petrol.
I bought petrol , paid and left . Nothing went wrong . Just a normal transaction at a petrol station .
Fuel attendant were rude, ganged up and harassed me,told me l must buy elsewhere, very very unpleasant
Owner should do something about their staff service it is absolutely horrible
24/7 service station with great service and a convenience store.
Nice and everything but not catering halaal meat or cold meats
I've never struggled with this place Always clean and on point
some times they'll just steal a rand or two of change
Fuel and a Halaal Woolies.. You can’t beat that
Great combination of convenience store in one.
Most of the things you need under one roof
Upgraded recently. Looking good.
Woolworths staff are friendly
Service friendly and quick.
No bathroom for customers.
Great staff and friendly
Nice and well kept.
Very nice
