This is my first time having issues with Enterprise. I have never had issues in the Houston Enterprise. On August 28 I called this Enterprise and spoke to Roger to ask about pick up services. I also mentioned coming on the Megabus from Houston. He said it is a good thing I called and I am unable to reserve the standard SUV with a debit card because of the strict policies but I can reserve a intermediate car or smaller. I reserved the Intermediate car and thought it was set. At first before he offered that option he placed me on a hold and said if I show my bus itenerary, ID and car insurance then im set. He even said he took note of the pick up and drop off services for me at Megabus. I atleast thought it was fine. So I called again that day to make sure of my reservation and Stacy answered. She said everything is set. I called because I had to modify my resevation for a intermediate SUV. So we are now to today. On September 7 I called just to make sure of everything because Roger seemed unsure to begin with. The person who I talked to was supposedly a manager. I really dont think it was a manager because she provided the most horrible customer service and just did not care. When she answered I asked her if everything was set and my pick up. She said actually its a good thing you called because you cant use a debit card at all for renting any car because I am not from San Antonio. I asked are you serious Roger said otherwise and if he didnt know why he didnt make sure. Also dont managers make sure of reservations or what are they even doing there. All she could say was sorry Ms. Fernandez. So I told her it was a good thing I called because I would of been stranded left at the Megabus.She was like well you would not have a car. All she could say was sorry and that the workers at Enterprise have done this before. Im like wow so everyone in that enterprise needs to be changed out if the manager cant even calm me down. I was so mad and it seemed like she was not listening and kept saying sorry and that they have strict payment policies. So wow this is what you do then just say sorry and move on. I even asked her so there is no options for me. My trip is literally this Tuesday, September 10th and all she could say was sorry and that I was misinformed. I really think everyone is very much under trained and under qualified there. She screamed over me and said she cant do anything and that you dont get anything from crying. I said excuse me. She got offensive and said these calls are recorded and that she didnt say cry for the record. If she really didnt say that then why she said for the record. She is just another wanna be manager that does not care at all and gives very poor service. I was tired and she was just not caring and I was done. I told her I would write a review about this on google. The manager did not care about that. I am more mad that if your employees dont know there policies then ask a manager if not then that location needs to be cleaned out and have new respectable professional people. Also I said then Roger and Stacy need to be fired because they are the ones that told me everything was set. She said she does not know a Stacy. Well thats who spoke to me. I hope everyone is aware and double check things before you end up stranded. Its upsetting that just 3 days before a trip a manager does not even try to help you and pulls the rug on you when you place a reservation 2 weeks in advance. I will never call this location again because everyone is incompetent and starting from the manager. Thank you, next.

We was on our honeymoon and had planned our whole trip out online before traveling. After 5 days in beautiful San Antonio, we had our car booked at the Riverwalk enterprise location. I had even gone as far as entering all my insurance and driver license information so I could just pop in and pick up the car and we could continue on to Dallas. I have used enterprise for work and personal travel for over 15 years. We checked out of our hotel and hailed a cab to pick up our car. When we arrived I was asked to give my drivers license and my form of payment I used to make the reservation. I handed it over and we was excited to get on the road to continue our trip. Then it all went down hill...They ran all my information and then asked for another major credit card so they could put a hold on it until I returned the car....I informed them that we was on our honeymoon and we had not traveled with any extra cards except the ones that we used to make all of our reservations with. They said that they was sorry, but they needed an extra card to place a hold on, that they could not use the one that I had booked the reservation with because it was a debit card, even though it had the funds avaliable. They then became extremely rude and said there is nothing they can do to help us. We even had our other credit card numbers avaliable via our credit card aps on our phones, and they said they must have the card in hand to swipe. They then said they could take us back to our hotel (which we did not have anymore) and could not take us to any other location so we could get a car. After 3 hours of delays and over $30 in cab fees we finally made it to Avis where we was greeted by pleasant people who actually wanted to help and had us in a car and on our way in under 15 minutes! I will never use enterprise again, and I will make sure I file a complete report with my federal employer when I return home to insure no one at our company falls in to this trap and is left without a car and is stuck pulling their luggage down the street in a major city with no transportation... Very disappointed, and this was the only rude and ungrateful people we came across in all of our travels across Texas...

The gentleman was so rude. He said since I was using my Wells Fargo bank card that my address wasn't verified and I had to provide two pieces of mail either from utilities being paid or a phone bill made your phone bill because I didn't have a major credit card instead of a bank card. Left and went to go pick up two pieces of mail he told me two bills from T-Mobile would work so I brought him back two letters from T-Mobile and then he told me that they wouldn't work cuz they needed to say zero on them even though they're supposed to be bills and then he said they couldn't be from the same spot after I called the other manager because she said they couldn't be from the same spot and then they wouldn't accept nothing else except I need it one bill from a utility and one bill from the phone and the check stub which made no sense I've rented cars from everywhere else and all of a sudden now I need all this stuff and I kept telling them my father is the one that pays the utilities at the house it's been his house I lived there for 19 years though but was able to provide the bill for the phone. And I messed up thing was I wasn't raining just to rent I was renting because of work I was even running under my corporate I understand what u are saying but u need to understand our point too we waited all day yesterday for the card after y'all bought the groceries y'all should of dropped it right off. r4rrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrthe comp4t555any I work for. Poor experience completely. So disrespectful and no other customers had problems like that. But when I told him I wanted corporates number he just gave me a number to another manager and was shaking really bad and got extremely nervous.

I usually rent from Enterprise and have no problems and the agents are always very courteous. I usually rent compact cars, since I don't need a large car when I am traveling to visit my mother and they have always been fine. This time I was given a Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback. I do not know why any rental car company would think this is a good car to carry in their fleet. Nothing fit in the back compartment, not my suitcase or my mother's walker. I rented this car in the middle of my visit so I did not have my suitcase with me when I picked it up. The only thing that fit were grocery bags. If you did manage to fit anything bigger in to the back compartment, a small shelf, that covers the back compartment, is flipped up, totally blocking the the back window, when you try to look out of it while you drive. When I mentioned this to the agent when I turned the car back in, his reply was - Well compact cars are not made to fit luggage. The way he said it was like that was what i get for not renting a larger car. I have rented multiple compact cars and have always been able to fit at least 1 suitcase in them and usually more. So i guess this was a learning experience, check the car out inside, with the thought of will my suitcase fit, which in the past I wouldn't have even thought of and do I want to keep renting from a company where the majority of their customers are travelers and therefore have luggage, and they put cars in their fleet that won't accommodate 1 suitcase and doesn't feel the need to forewarn them this car may not suit them if they have luggage.

We arrived in San Antonio late on a Friday evening, so had requested a pickup for 8am on Saturday morning. When we woke up Saturday, we were both exhausted, so called to delay our pickup for 2 hours. They were very friendly and happy to oblige. When the driver arrived at 10am to get us, he was very friendly and informative about the area and events going on, as well as the rental experience. We've rented from others before, but never enterprise. We arrived at the office and were driving off in a very clean and cute cerulean blue Dodge Dart within 10 minutes. Was very quick and efficient. We had planned on dropping the car off at 5pm on Monday evening since our train was scheduled to leave before they opened on Tuesday, but since rentals go in 24 hour increments, we technically had until Tuesday at 10am. So i called the office to confirm this was ok. They were incredibly friendly and changed the itinerary to reflect we were dropping it off later than originally planned. Fortunately they had a drop box available for after hours returns and the office wasn't too far from the train station. We dropped off the car at 6am on Tuesday and the office called us at 7:55am to let us know they'd received the keys and the full deposit would be returned within 24 hours. All in all, I'd rate the staff and experience a 5*. They were very friendly, helpful, accommodating and efficient. Way to go Enterprise San Antonio staff. We will return and you are highly recommended.

Worst rental experience ever! First the website says you can use a debit card for the deposit. I called a half hour before the pick up time to confirm the details of the reservation and make sure the car would be ready. At that point I was told I could only use a debit card if I had a Texas license (I have a Nevada license) which was never stipulated on the website. I changed the reservation for the next day so I could transfer the amount to my card. The next morning I got a message saying that the car we reserved was unavailable and all they had was a minivan. I called enterprise and told them that wouldn’t work and was told that I would get a call back in an hour with a solution. An hour and a half later and I still hadn’t received a call. I called again and was told they had the car. After an extra half hour wait after the pick up time and the car was finally ready. Had to drive the car in the rain and the wiper blades where so bad I had to pull over and wait for it to stop so I could actually see. Shortly after that the maintenance light for the car came on saying that the car need an oil change and new filter. I felt so unsafe driving this car. Enterprise, you need to do better.

Always rent from Enterprise and always have a great experience, but this time was a disappointment. To start, we rented a 12 passenger van for a short trip out of town, van was not clean neither outside or inside. But what made this a bad experience is not the dirty van. I had scheduled the van to be returned on the next Saturday at 10:am, due to some personal circumstances, we could not leave until a couple of hours later, putting us in San Antonio at around 1pm, but I received a call from Morgan at 9:30 am asking about the van. I explained to her the situation, and she immediately started being rude asking why didn't i call her and why didn't i let her know, i was in the middle of telling what happened ( which i don't have to) when she interrupted me, said to drop it in the drop box and hanged up the phone on me! I understand that I'm a few hours late, and that i will be charged an extra day as she pointed out. I have no issues with that, i had situations where i needed to keep the car for an extra few days with no issues , i get she's upset, but this is still a business, I'm the customer, and politeness and professionalism should always be in practice.

My 21 old daughter and her friends booked a car over a month ago for spring break. They came from Austin to get the car as they were able to book the car under 25 for an additional fee. My husband took them to pick up the car this morning and were told they could not take the car without the insurance. My husband had to step in and the agent confirmed they did not need to insurance since they had their own. Next they were told they could not rent the car due to their age. My husband had to then talk to manager to confirm they could rent the car for additional price and had their ages on the form when they booked. Final straw was not accepting a credit card from the father of the primary renter. My husband finally cancelled the reservation and they are on the road using our car. Will NEVER rent from Enterprise again after seeing how they tried to take advantage of these young ladies. Shameful.

I rented a vehicle from Enterprise for 2 days because I had my car in the shop. I like that they picked me up from the car shop! I got my vehicle which I didn't expect a large SUV I wanted a smaller one for less price per day. But was told it was all they had. Anyway I came home with the Flex Ford and upon inspecting the inside of it the third row lay down and cargo it was awful. It had tons of long dog hair and it had a lot of dirt in the cargo area plus it did smell like dog somewhat. I called the location manager Morgan at Enterprise and sent her pictures too. I brought it back right away and she and another employee quickly cleaned it up and sprayed it too. Plus I asked for a discount and that was given too. She said it was brought to them in that condition in the morning and would report it. I suggest if anyone rents a vehicle to look all over inside too!

Poor customer service. Had a reservation for the morning and the front desk lady tried to claim me as a walk up despite giving her my reservation number and confirmation email. Then she said that reservations had to be confirmed by phone. I told her I had called multiple times and tried to call the morning of the pick up date. She then changed her tune again and said they just were out of cars and they couldn't honor "walk ups" (I wasn't a walk up, I had a reservation). She didn't even want to try and provide another location where there could be available cars. All the while, her phone was ringing during our interaction, and she made no effort to answer the phone. The irony. This woman (with green eyes and brown hair, never got her name) barely touched her keyboard or try to show any effort in helping us, completely wasting our time and a trip to the office.

Customer service is little to non-existing. I was traveling during the Christmas season and my travel arrangements got cancelled. I called and made reservations for a vehicle for one way to Houston. After walking a mile, I was later told that I had to be a local resident of San Antonio to rent a vehicle. I tried to speak with Jonathan (the Manager) and he was short tempered, and didn’t listen to anything I had to say; let alone offer any form of alternative solution. The staff was not friendly, and none of them attempted to even address myself or other stranded customers. I was able to go to Hertz located on Bowie. The staff was friendly and inviting. I will never do business with Enterprise under no circumstances. Not sure if this is a reflection of Enterprise as a corporation, San Antonio as a city, or just poor customer service for this particular group.

My own personal vehicle was a total loss due to an accident. I needed a car to go to work and also shop for a new car. I needed a car rental company that I could trust. I chose Enterprise, because I had rented with them before with no problems. The online website was easy to navigate and I was able to rent a car for the next few days. The location I was going to pick my car up from was unfortunately closed but but an agent called me with the next alternate location and I was able to pickup my car without problems. The service and care from Enterprise was awesome. I was even referred to an Enterprise Car Sales Representative since I was in the market for a new car. I didn't even know they sold cars. It was a great Car Rental experience during a time when I was stressing about everything else. Thank you Enterprise.

I rented from this location many times. The employees are professional and amiable, but everything else varies. The driver who picks passengers up sped through all the school zones without decreasing speed. The rental car was flimsy and the manager agreed it was below normal quality. The branch manager told me the quality was lower and prices higher than usual because the demand for vehicles in Houston was affecting the other rental units in the region. When I rented the car, I was taking my time to shop for a new car, and working with Enterprise sales. As soon as I returned the rental car, I contacted every dealer in town and beyond about the type of car I was trying to purchase, and bought one. I didn't want to go through renting another car that is not safe on the road!

David from 808 S. St. Mary's, San Antonio, TX called at 9:30am to let me know that the minivan that I reserved night before they didn't have and the next vehicle wouldn't be available until 11-11:30am, because he had nothing for rent. He said he would call me then. No call. I called, David said he would have a Silverado by 12:30pm, said it was full size Silverado. David called at 12:40pm asked if I was near because Silverado was ready, I said I was two blocks away, he said okay, I arrived to a dark building, no David. He did not called and say he closed early or be there by 1pm. Terrible service, I missed my important meeting. Called National Enterprise said nothing they can do. David unprofessional!!!

We called for a pickup at our hotel. They totally forgot about us. We called several times and got voice mail. Called Corporate with the same results. Walked a mile to the rental car place after waiting an hour. When we get there an employee walks in with lunch. Gotta love it, right. When we asked for a car. We were told there were only 2 ready. Ridiculous as it didn't matter what kind of car we apparently reserved. Told the guy we were supposed to be picked up and got a half hearted apology. Went through the paperwork in record time and got the he'll out of there. The car was fine and the remainder of our rental went without incident. Too bad it got to such a bad start.

I used to get the best experience at this location and was quite happy paying just a little more for the fun of dealing with them. I placed a reservation for a car for 23rd Dec to 25th Dec and got a confirmed price on the rental. I called back to get some more info and was subsequently informed that I would be charged an extra day because they're closed on the 25th and no one would be there to check the vehicle in. In the past I had dropped vehicles off when they were closed before and NEVER charged extra. A reservation is a contract with a customer and these guys are liars. Until they get new management and fix this, rent somewhere else, anywhere else!!!

I was visiting San Antonio with my daughter for Spring Break and had never rented a car before. I called this Enterprise and from start to finish I received fast and courteous service. The agent Zach got me taken care of quick and advised that I get the FULL COVERAGE PROTECTION which I did and in the end it was good that I did. Someone hit the car on the freeway and kept going. I was scared and didn't know what to do. But when I returned the car and explained the whole situation everyone there was so concerned and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend or use Enterprise again. This turned out to be all in all a good Spring Break for my daughter and I.

This is the only location opened until 2pm on Saturdays and I received a rushed service because they were busy. It was so rushed I was sent off without a receipt or instructions on operating the vehicle. It's no wonder I was shocked by the charge on my Credit card which did not match the booking on Travelocity. The manager Triss was also unhelpful when trying to retrieve items forgotten in the vehicle, I was given the run around for more than 3 weeks despite them having the item in their possession and later losing it when they took the vehicle to their Garage. I would not recommend this branch, or Enterprise for that matter. Cheap can be costly!

We have rented from Enterprise several times, five or six probably. While I've always had very safe cars that they vacuum completly before they rent it to you, nothing compares to the kindness of their employees. We have rented from Alex., La on McArthur Dr. About five times and recently from San Antonio, Texas to come home to Alex, La. In Alex they surpass all with their willingness to help you. In San Antonio recently a very nice young man came to pick me up which they will do. Anytime we need to rent our words are "Call Enterprise" Why wouldn't we? Enterprise is there to help you when you need to rent.

The worst experience ever. Last October 2018 we reserved a passenger van from this location. When we arrived to pick-up the vehicle, without even saying sorry they said the vehicle that we reserved was not available. And the guy turned around, again without an apology or a simple sorry for the inconvenience. I waited for a moment hoping they will help me with my problem because we still need to drive to California for our once a year vacation and this site was ruining our plans. But again, obviously no help from them that I receive.

My friend and I made a last minute decision while in San Antonio to venture over to Waco. We hopped on line, quickly reserved a car. The next morning we were picked up by a very nice young man to go back to the Enterprise office, finish up the process and we were off for the day! The car was clean, in great condition, was comfortable.... we felt very safe and secure driving the car in unfamiliar territory. And got a great price and great gas mileage. Made it back safely. Quick and easy drop off. What a fun adventure. Thank you!

The gentleman at the counter wasn't very helpful. The whole reason we chose this location was due to the fact that the website states after hour drop off. The process to return the vehicle after hours wasn't explained. It felt as if he was in a hurry (even though no other customers were at the store) The car was filthy and stained and had a dirty diaper oder which made it difficult to enjoy our drive. If it hadn't been for the fact that we were short on time I definitely would have cancelled my reservation and gone elsewhere.

Always wonderful hospitality when renting from this location in my downtown San Antonio neighborhood. Unfortunately, the car I rented while it was an upgrade from my economy because one was not available it was dirty, whomever had it before me was at the beach, there was sand in the car, garbage that I cleaned out and the windows had that fog sand covering one gets from the beach. Upon returning my rental I was not offered a discount which was a surprise to me. As a career sales person/manager myself this was not acceptable.

I traveled from California to Texas to visit someone and I was going to rent a car at the airport but the prices were high, they didn't have what I wanted and I felt I was been overcharged for whatever they had. So I found this place and I really liked it. The customer service is very good. I was helped by Justin and he was very friendly. I got a better deal and I wish I could stay longer to keep using their car. The next time I come back to Texas I know where to go if I want to rent a good car at a good price.

The dude at the counter is super slow and seems to be texting his friends, as seen by the fact that he's frequently trying to withhold his smile. This part is responding to the reply: Thanks for the reply Jean. My reservation went fine and there were nothing wrong for the entire process. I am simply pointing out the lack of professionalism of one particular person as there was a large line when we were picking up our car. I just want to urge more emphasis on professionalism amongst staff. That's all.

All went smooth. I was helped immediately upon entering the store, the staff completed the walkaround and using a handheld device pointed out where previous damage to the vehicle had already been noted, the amount of fuel and mileage. Everything was accurate and I did not get the feeling that they were going to try to trap me (saying the gas was full when it wasn't, or saying I damaged the car when the damage was already there). Car was in excellent condition. Would use again.

I was going out of town and I specifically told the lady that I was going to Mexico she said that would not be a problem she scheduled me for a pick-up day at a location and they told me there that I cannot take the car to Mexico I would have to go to the Enterprise close to the airport and I could take one of those to Mexico but mind you it was Friday I did not have the car reserved over there which the price we're going to change when I reserved in the middle of the week...

Everything was very fast and easy. I made reservations went to pickup vehicle and gave them my license and credit card. Went to look at car signed tablet stating everything was okay and was given keys and left. Dropped off car and was greeted right as I got off of the car by Jacob. Jacob checked out a couple of things and that was it I was on my way home. Great customer service here I wouldn't think of going any where else.

Picked up a car that was in very rough shape - front right fender was popped off, hubcaps were bent and distorted. In a rush, so accepted the car but then interior was filthy! Steering wheel was sticky and the center console had filth all over. Going to try and exchange for a cleaner car today. Never had this happen before, hope the exchange is hassle free. Cars rented should at least be clean and sanitary on inside. :(

My preferred rental place for Cars has always been Enterprise!. I recently rented a vehicle from them for our annual Spring Break (Colorado) vacation. As usual I was not dissapointed with their Customer service. I rented here in San Antonio, Texas at the St Mary's location and the staff there make you feel very welcomed. The young lady in the office is amazing. During my last trip, I had a flat tire and called to report where I was when it happened. The guy who answered the phone apparently didn't pass on this information to her. I did get her when I called back a little later.When I returned the car, I asked her if he told her about it, she said no. Kudos for her for being a member of your rental team!

The manager, Jonathan, failed to provide his full name when inquired and was extremely rude over the phone when I asked for help with my rental car. He obviously did not want to help and failed to be honest because he wanted to be lazy with his work JUST because we did not get the car from that location. Jonathan continued to rudely give useless information. Jonathan is a poor manager.

Pro: they were out of mid-sized vehicles and upgraded me for free to a Nissan Rogue SUV. Con: the car had less than a quarter tank of gas in it, so I wasted precious time to find a gas station and fueling up before I could head out to my next appointment 80 miles north. Returning a car with a full tank is easier and makes more sense than having to return it at the same low level..

The staff here were very professional and helpful. Jun Ramus, helped our group with a van exchange that was very easy and fast. We were from out out state, but they made the exchange easy. Additionally, I left an expensive laptop in the van, and when I returned the next morning they had it ready and waiting Good service here, and I definitely recommend this location.

I used to think Enterprise was the the king of car rentals I think they are absolutely the worst now been here twice and both times there was no gas in the tank and no gas nearby that you have to get on your own. We waited way too long old cases meant to clean the car up and the cars were not in good condition. I'm going to go anywhere but Enterprise from now on!

The desk service was very slow. We spend more than 1 hour to pick up de car. We made a reservation of a standard vehicle (economy class), because we needed the car for only a couple hours, however, they gave us a Jeep, which consumes a lot more of gas. I've assumed that if I make a reservation for an specific service, I will get that service, not another one.

All the cars here don't look very nice. they all like glowing green and stuff. I was going to rent a car but I realized the cars only have one seat this is a major problem for me because I have 4 bums because of cancer. I did not let this bother me though. I have better control over the cars! Because i now have 4 hands to grab the steering wheel. 5/10

Excellent service!!! Driver picked me up, was very courteous and polite. Arrived at the counter, car was ready and exactly what I wanted... was in and out in less than 5 minutes.. best part was this was on a Sunday. I will be using this location every time from this point on. Definitely recommend this rental company and location.

I was kindly helped by Oscar, who went above and beyond to help me get a rental vehicle. When I arrived, I notified Enterprise that I would need a mid-size car. However, due to short stock, I was given a much better option. I was thoroughly impressed at how diligent Oscar even though he had multiple customers!

Visited this place with my boss and colleagues. We walked from our hotel and the location seems shady if visited at night because of the neighborhood. Staff was accomodating. They have restroom that is clean which I somehow did not expect. The place could get a bit crowded though since it is a small location.

Super friendly staff and very helpful! First time I rented, I arrived late and did not call to notify, so they thought I wasn't going to appear. When I arrived, they had run out of cars, so they upgraded for no extra cost. The second time I rented, they even drove me home! I will definitely rent here again!

The manager ahmad was very rude telling me to get out or he was gonna call the cops because he was accusing me of something i didnt do with my rental. I also emailed the main manager and still havent got a response. Very bad customer service. They also put the wrong name on my invoice and refused to fix it.

The customer service is great. The overall experience was not. I was heavily sold the daily insurance which added $20/day. The car was decent. I was charged an extra day and had to call and request a refund. What was quoted as $87 online ended up costing me $160+....I will not use Enterprise again....

Great amazing staff, if your not a frequent renter be sure to get everything you need! Couple issues we're that they gave us a full size SUV instead of a van and we had to get the oil changed during rental (which took 3 hours) since there were no other vehicles in our size available anywhere nearby.

Garbage. Never renting from Enterprise again. Booked a reservation online, called the location to make sure reservation was received and they had a car for me (because I am a seasoned traveler). When I show up they say they have no more cars. Terrible service, terrible system. I am forever enraged.

The Enterprise on Broadway St they are hardly ever there. And they never have cars. When you call you are on hold forever. The same for the Enterprise on Fort Sam Houston. And just so you know when you reserve a car you won't get the car that you reserved. You get the car that they want to give you

Horrible..no cars but they don't tell u till u at the repair shop.. 2 days straight just be honest.. You can't control the situation but you can control the honesty you have with your customers..will never do business with Enterprise again. Insurance claim or not.. I wish zero stars was an option.

Overall it was a good, clean economy car. Our only problem was with the 12 volt (i.e. cigarette lighter) power supply, which did not work. There was a USB port, but it doesn't put out enough power when you're using a mapping program on a smart phone. We made due, but was irritating.

Rented a car from this Enterprise location on a recent trip to San Antonio. It was conveniently located within walking distance from the hotel I was staying in. The service was fast and courteous and I was on the road.
