"People, just replace the “closed due to renovation sign” for “We don’t want to keep cleaning this washroom, but want to still say that we offer one to clients”"
Complaint about their car wash down the street from the gas station. On more than one occasion including tonight (and I have pictures) my car was not properly rinsed. Get the luxury wash each time — and rinse is not long enough or thorough ! I am tired of paying over $18 to have soap suds left on my car! Both times that I had ridiculously high soap residue on the car the (different) staff were EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL - and if you call the ESSO station up the street ( on your receipt) they say they are busy with a customer or if you don’t let them discourage you from complaining by telling you that you are “the only one who complained” — they HANG UP on you. RUDE. Ah ESSO ( and Circle K) head offices should take note about this kind of customer service — your name is on the line! If others notice this lack of adequate car rinsing, let them know (even though they will hang up on you). I use other car washes on my long highway journeys and never experience this.
Bad enough that these guys have closed their washroom off and not allowing TTC drivers to even use the washroom but now they aren't even accepting cash and the guy behind the counter decided to say he has no change as his excuse. Unfortunately I did not have another form of payment so I couldn't even purchase something to eat as a snack. Unbelievable that in a time like this you would restrict what people can buy. Asish was tellers name. I can appreciate the fact that we are concerned right now for our safety but when the person is wearing gloves and you are wearing gloves as well there is a lot less risk and I find it unacceptable that he refused to provide change. I watched him serve the next customer and when his register opened he had plenty of cash and change open and available.
My favorite gas station of all times. Their price is also cheaper then competitor. I would drive an extra 6km to get to this gas station. (haha I guess I'm not saving any money on gas when I'm spending it all getting to the station) they have a Tim Horton inside as well which is very convenient. They have a policy that if they don't ask you if you want to buy a car wash, then you get a car wash for free. One time it got busy one staff was working two cash register to speed up the process and the staff didn't ask me, as well as the person beside me so I pointed it out and he said no it doesn't apply.. But that's okay I'll still give this place a 5 star.
Fast and friendly employees and also serve us fast and othere timhorton location and also tell me options to choose the with my combo meal so definitely I go there when I go that area and u can see how happy I am to taking a time to wrote them reviews definitely try the place and do servay for them about service and different from other locations . That's only thing I can do to tanx them with hard work job . Thanks again and good bless u guys
People, just replace the “closed due to renovation sign” for “We don’t want to keep cleaning this washroom, but want to still say that we offer one to clients”. I fill up my work van with gas here at least twice a week, and this washroom seems to have been under maintenance longer than the construction of the Eglinton Crosstown. I can’t wait to see the wonders inside this washroom once its renovations are finally done.
They were really good almost the cheapest gas station in this area but not only they price is not cheap but also more than other gas stations around plus 3 days ago I went there and it was saying 184.0 outside on the board but when you 186.9 when I wanted to pay , I asked the guy who was working there he said I don't know maybe board has problem !!!!!! No and a big no ... it's fraud, I'm not going there anymore
The washroom is closed, and not just for maintenance. Gas stations should not be closing their washrooms during the pandemic, it is a disservice to their customers and the public. These large chains and or their franchisees are open for business to take our money, therefore they should be providing the resources for their staff to keep the washroom open. This looks like simply an excuse to cut costs.
Not a good car wash. Used to be, you could pay for a car wash at the pump, but no more, now you must pay at the booth at the car wash. Still have sign saying "free wash if we don't ask", but they claim that is only if you pay inside. I just had the "Luxury Wash", but there is still a dirty streak down the windshield on the driver side. Waste of time and money. Never going back.
Their price is always at least 5-7cents/litre cheaper compared to other esso stations... but the price change is only for certain hours of the day... after midnight it's regular price (until noon I think), go there in the afternoon... it's really busy most of the time because of the cheaper price... but the employees are friendly...
I always like Esso - there's something to brand names - you always know what you're going to get. This particular Esso and the one up the road from it probably have the best gas prices in the city. Given that, they are always extremely busy and you WILL have to wait in line to get gas, so only go when you have plenty of time.
Do not get the car wash here. It's not on the premises but further down the street. Once you find it, expect to wait in line for over 30 minutes. I'd rather wash it myself or drive for 20 minutes to find a better location. Gave one extra star because fuel usually costs less here, but sometimes the crowding isn't worth it.
AIR MACHINE DOES NOT WORK HERE lost $2, and esso is not responsible for the machine so no accountability from them, they will tell u to call the number on the machine, which i did but do not expect to hear back from the company. all they need to do is put up a sign that says ‘not in service,’ could be hand written.
In terms of price and promptness they're number one. Only problem I have is the constant food smell (curry) on the "POP" and other surfaces. Frequent cleaning with Lysol wipes should solve this problem. I'm just frustrated by the constant smell on my person whenever I visit this station (same @ Dupont location).
Went there on 3/18 at 8:30 AM, had the worst customer service I've EVER experienced at a gas station. The cashier is very rude and condescending, as if he's above everyone there. I'm not sure if he's just upset that he's middle aged and stuck doing something he hates, but he doesn't even deserve that job...
The worst Manager/Owner I've experienced in any Gas station ever. He was unfriendly, rude and uncivilized. Denied service for no reason. I felt racially abused. I wish I could do more than just writing this review. ESSO should make sure who they give their stations too. This guy knew ZERO customer service.
Pump receipt printers often broken and a 15+ minute wait inside to get your receipt at cash because they're always understaffed too. So then you wait 20 min for a pump because people can't gas and go. All the gas he could be selling must be many multiples what's saved in not doing maintenance.
They put customer service at the top also they provide the best price all over Toronto. Tirth was the attendant and he was very sweet I wanted to convert my points into optimum and even though I was struggling to understand his accent, he tried his best by serving customers on both counters.
Usually a pretty good price for gas, usually chaotic in trying to get into a pump. Not a lot of space to maneuver your vehicle - as most customers seem to forget a) how wide their car is, or b) that not everyone has their tank in the same side. Bring patience with you and you should be ok.
I said I need 2 Belmont large king and 30$ gas number 11 but Trainee asked 5 questions to understand what I want then he remembered that he has to see my ID first whatever left from my hair is white I felt that he wanted to act bossy to cover his weaknesses on memorizing my task. …
I went here last month, they said washrooms are closed due to renovations. I went today they said same thing that washrooms are closed due to renovatio. I wonder what kind of renovations they are doing. Washrooms in the gas station should be accessible to public as per rule.
Rude attendant. Was there for 10 min filling up gas and looking for my points card to pay and the guy told us not to keep the car there we have to pay right away. The car is off and we’re outside putting in gas like common. Horrible. Everyone has gone crazy.
The store was neat and clean. Also the service of the staff was very good. They gave me great offers on the stuff I was buying like I was buying some drinks but didn't know about the offers they gave me info about it that I can get more in the lesser price.
Gas prices are very good at this location. However, it can get VERY crowded during rush hour as they don't have much space for cars to line up. Also, the car wash is not located on premise. It is located down the street which could be inconvenient for some.
This Esso gas station is one of the best gas station i have ever visited. the customer service is quick and efficient and all employees are polite. I kindly recommend you to visit this gas station if you want to refill gas in downtown.
Why are the gas stations along Dupont cheaper than anywhere else in the city? Who knows! All I know is that this gas station is convenient and easy to access from many parts of the city. Come here for a quick fill up and save $$$.
Posted prices are wrong. These people compete with Costco but are in the center of town. Lots of cars there but usually a wait might be 10 minutes. Store located inside, but why bother gas stations charge premiums for everything.
One of the most busy and central gas stations. It has everything you could need. It's important to note the carwash is down the road down Davenport and not on the corner. Air pump and vacuum are available as well.
Called to make sure the store was open and walked 20 minutes to store. Went in to buy a play station gift card and the guy refused to turn on the machine in order to activate the card totally un professional.
I drive uber and whenever I am driving in downtown I come here for fuel because only there washroom is open when its hard to fine washroom in downtown good people guys they understand customer relations
Annoying that car wash is not on site, and there is no sign informing customer about that. Staff argue that customer must know it by themselves, and refused to refund for car wash at customer's request.
Entry and exit into the station can be tricky during rush hour. Some of the pumps are prepaid but dont have proper signs on them which can get really frustrating when you are trying to fill the car.
Very HAPPY for their service and systems to make gas station. They have many of pump to fill the gas and very very fast. And there stores are very good and they have lots of thinks in their. Thanks
They still have the washroom closed for essential workers and generally rude staff have made this particular essential terrible. Used to go daily for coffee n such its off my map now.
It was so busy, probably because the price was super low, but with a pay at the pump option I was in and full and out, in literally 5 minutes. Even swiped my PX POINTS CARD! Success!
Friday night at 10 PM it was busy. There were at least 10 cars in the station. You need to pay in advance by credit card or similar. It is quite difficult to make it full.
Clerk wished me a Happy New Year when I approached to pay and was very friendly to the customers. We need more gas bar attendants like him! Happy New Year back
There is a problem with pump 8 it stops whenever you get $1 of fuel. We ended up getting only a little bit of oil for $40 what a scam. It’s all air in the oil
Best discounted gas rates everyday:) Eg. 94.6 cents Regular price plus aeroplane miles & Esso points earned & 2.5 cents discount due to Esso privelidge card:)
The first pump I tried to fuel was giving trouble, it kept on stopping every few seconds. So I had to stop and go around to another pump to finish filling up
Very popular spot Mid-City to gas up and grab something from the Tim Hortons inside. Staff are polite and helpful and the facilities have always been clean.
Prices are some of the best in the area for gasoline. The staff are efficient and very courteous considering the range of customers they have to deal with
It was fine, came here because it was the cheapest around according to the GasBuddy app. The machine didn't print my receipt though for some reason.. Meh
Get in, get gas and a couple of snacks and leave with an empty wallet. Just like any other ESSO with a variety store and every other gas station.
Pumps seem to be down alot of times it feels? Or machines are down and goes to only cash. Who knows esso at bathurst I usually end up at now.
Car wash was closed (it is located down the street from the gas station). Gas pump was somewhat slow, however, store clerks were very nice.
Does not accept citizenship card as a form of ID. When it clearly shows on their posters behind the lottery cards that they do accept it.
Don't buy any gift cards from them, your card will not be activated and you will never get your money back! I wish I can give no stars.
The price is good but only first line are pay in store so some time take longer time and may not able to scan my points card pc points
Worst Gas Station whenever i pay outside i never get receipt on pump always have to collect from inside.. its always out of paper..
They have gas. Pumps tend to be a bit on the slow side and it can be tricky to get out of depending on the direction you are going.
Best gas prices in the city mean this place is almost always busy. The Tim's line seems to move pretty fast though so don't fret.
Great gas prices but gets packed and is difficult to maneuver in and out of the station if you're not too skilled of a driver
Decent location but still usually priced 2-3¢ higher per litre than the Esso location 2 minutes away at Bathurst and Dupont.
Staff wouldn't let use the washroom for the customers. Always out of service.. I don't know if they ever gonna fix it. lol.
They don't have much snacks on sell here, but they have a Tim Hortons here that doesn't have that much on sell here at all.
I like this gas station. I always pay less than other places. The staff are respectful and answers all questions promptly.
As far as gas stations go, this one checks all the boxes. Carwash, Tim Hortons, Air Pump, Vacume. And they even sell gas!!
Everything is so good, but pump number 8 is the slowest pump in the world it takes almost 10 minutes to fill 50L of gas.
Great location. But if you're going to get a car wash you'll have to drive down Davenpor, their carwash is located there
Attendant not too bright. I presented my Optimum Points card for points collection and he said I couldn't pay with it!
Horrible. Air compressor not working - no sign saying out of order nor giving refund on money! Ridiculous service.
I've been told it has some of the cheapest gas in downtown. It's often fairly busy. There's a time Hortons inside.
This Esso at Dupont and Davenport has gas @ 10¢/L cheaper than anywhere else I know. It's busy, needless to say.
Enjoyed the experience of buying gas by the liter, and visiting an Esso station for the first time in 45+ years.
Friendly staff. Their gas price is usually a few cents less than other gas stations on major streets in Toronto.
Bad customer service, pumps are slow, waited for the Tim Hortons staff to take my order for at least 10 minutes.
Good price for regular gas. Nice clean open gas filling stalls. Slowest pump computer processors on the planet.
A first for me. They ran out of gas. Was long winded. I needed to get a refund. Seems more like a one off.
Pretty standard station, nice location with a car wash in downtown. Although the car wash is off location.
Lots of pumps but usually crowded. Tim's inside the store but no drive thru so it can be a bit of a wait.
One of the most effective and streamlined gas stations in Toronto, and very busy one too. Frequent user.
Often the pumps are out of service. Cheaper gas in the afternoon, but getting in and out is difficult.
Oh look, it has a car wash according to the sign. Oh wait, it doesn't. Thank you for wasting my time.
It says open 24 hours. But late at night it never works. Good for the day but not reliable at night.
Great prices but often out of receipts so you have to go inside and line up if you want a receipt.
Lowest price around. And if you need a car wash you can buy it here and it's just down the street
Why is the gas here always less than most other places? Don't know...don't care...just fill up!
Always busy pump. Tim Horton inside which is more busy but only one washroom and always line up
Convenient location to get snacks like fried bean and get gas … Ughhh I need Pepto Bismuth now
Not the absolute cheapest but usually discounted gas prices compared to the rest of the GTA.
Sometimes it can get too busy but they usually have a better price than other has stations
In downtown you will not get any gas station who can compete with these guys... Kudos!!
Good price for fuel, but too crowded most of the time and it's hard to get in and out
It's a gas station. Looks clean. Enough pumps. Prices on par with any other brand.
Open 24hrs and because its so close to where I live its super convenient!! Love it
Much larger lot then the other esso down the street. Easier to navigate when busy
Esso gas is sometimes cheaper than other brands, at least in Toronto. Recommended
I have experienced very poor customer service. Staff so rude and unprofessional.
Lots of pumps, accessible location. Watch for cyclists when entering/exiting.
Great price, self service long line at the evening at night is the best time
Great stop over at circle k great style and good people yes serve you well
Gas is consistently 10 cents cheaper per litre here than it is elsewhere.
Just down the street from me good for late-night cigarettes open 24 hours
If it wasn't a Tim Hortons there it would just be a crappy variety store
Lower gas rate from 10pm to 12am. Best time to buy gas at cheaper rate
Everyday customer , the late night guy wouldn't let me use washroom.
Manager cool...employees are dix tho...a bit races to if you ask me
Greet customer service, but the dirtiest washroom I have ever seen!
Friendly but the washroom is always "under maintenance" for months
