"Thanks to the interesting, informative and fun approach the guide takes, not just about this specific 'farm' but the area and some of the people and places that formed Sydney's origins, this was a lot better than is should have been, for someone that's not too bothered about history! Definitely worth it"

A fantastic place to discover a piece of Australia's history amongst the urban jungle. Our guide William kept us excited throughout our guided exploration of the property and kept our imagination tantalised with many facts and tales from the past. Thoroughly recommended place to visit.
The building was absolutely beautiful and the guide was very helpful. Most areas are beautiful recreations of how they looked, everything from the rooms to the colour of paint and the types of plants in the gardens. Would recommend to anyone interested in history.
An interesting property that once contained the first successful farm run by convict James Ruse and explains the history of the current house that stands on the grounds. The house is only open on the first and third Friday and Saturday of
An interesting historic house though not much emphasis is placed on the owners. The furniture is from that period and nice but the building itself is the main attraction. More
Historical, educational and interesting. Take the cottage tour for the full experience. The garden and grounds are sunny and peaceful and offer views of Parramatta City.
Great place to visit, such a significant site. The tour guide was absolutely wonderful and made it a thoroughly enjoyable and educational experience More
Haven't been to the farm cottage museum which is open Saturday and Sunday but the slopy park beside is a perfect little spot for sun bathing.
