Fantastic experience. The manager called after I made an online reservation, and couldn't have been nicer or more helpful in confirming the size unit I may need and setting up a time to come in. Then, when I went in to view the unit and "sign" (virtually) the paperwork, the assistant manager who was on site that day was equally helpful and nice. The space is clean, seems to be very well maintained, easy to access via multiple ramps, and there are two elevators and plenty of carts to help move things from your vehicle to your storage unit. Just about a week in, but would recommend. Great deals online too! Update: Have since moved out of state, but after storing here almost two years would definitely recommend. Jim the on-site manager is very nice and helpful. Move-out was super easy and quick - nice wide walkway and freight elevator. Didn't love how our rent got increased every few months, but we got in at such a good price I suppose I should have expected it. All around great experience though.

I'm very, very pleased with Extra Space Storage. I've never had to rent storage space in Chicago before but have had poor experiences in the past with other storage facilities so I was very cautious in choosing a sage, clean facility. Clark and staff are extremely helpful, accommodating, friendly and really keep an eye on things. The facility is secure and safe. It's kept very, very clean and I just get the sense my things are in a good place safe and warm which is the peace of mind I never thought I was going to have. In addition, the prices are very competitive. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for storage. I really couldn't ask for a better experience.

I setup this storage space for a non-profit organization that I am a part of. Since I had not officially put a lock on the unit, they did make some friendly reminder calls in that regard. They were very kind and helpful. Once I made my way the storage facility, I was greeted by Dominique who helped me change some email addresses on file, print out needed receipts, and show me the locker space. She explained everything thoroughly so I could make the transition of the items to my storage unit. The interaction was professional , helpful and pleasant. Place is well lit and clean. Would highly recommend this place and the staff is great!

My experience with Extra Space Storage was really great! The location was quite convenient to us. The process of reserving a unit, leasing and accessing the unit was all really smooth. The units have high quality doors and are easily accessible, but also secure. There's a neat freight elevator that makes things easy and usually plenty of cargo carts you can use. The process of moving out and ending the lease was equally easy - no hassle, they were very flexible and overall the experience was great! We rented for about 2.5 months during the summer. Special thanks to Jim at the front desk, he was always friendly and very helpful.

Arbitrarily started charging more money each month claiming market research justified the price increase. Over 6 months, my rent increased by 44%. When I complained to the staff that I believed Extra Space were just trying to see what they could "get away with" the staff agreed with me. I paid for a full final month and left two weeks early with notice. Manager initially refused to pro-rate my final payment even though this was not mentioned in the contract or during the close-out process. I suggest looking for an alternative storage space provider. There are others that are cheaper and just as good.

I choose this based on a friend’s recommendation. I arrived and was meeting a moving truck with 110 boxes. I didn’t know how to find my rented space, where to park, where the truck should go etc. From the moment I stepped into the office Karl was polite and very pleasant. He showed me and my movers every single thing that was needed to store my items. He went up on the freight elevator, showed me haw to use the entry code, the lock and the regular elevator. His customer service was beyond excellent. I would recommend to anyone.

Initially we booked our reservation online, when we came to the storage facility our unit was locked. After working with the amazing team of people at Extra Space Storage, we were able to resolve the situation quickly and efficiently. (This all happened around the 19th of September, 2020.) The assistant store manage, Chiquita James, was especially amazing. She was so gracious, kind and thoughtful with assisting us and our needs. We can not thank her enough!! The storage unit was clean and meets our needs perfectly.

I had furniture and different treasures for quite a long time while I was out of town and finally moved from Chicago. I ended up talking to Jim at the Greek Town facility and he was very helpful in relating information on the unit and storage building as I had not been there in some time! Overall great attitude and a good representative of your company as I had the pleasure of speaking with him a couple of different times during my move out. Appreciate all of your help Jim! 5 stars all the way!

I recently moved from the West Loop and had to pick up some moving supplies at this store. Jim, the manager on-site, was so friendly and helpful. I bought a couple of wardrobe boxes and was planning to walk with them back to my place but it ended up being too difficult for me to handle by myself. Jim graciously offered to carry one of the boxes and accompany me on the walk back to my building. I would highly recommend going here for any of your moving or storage needs.

Employees are competent and courteous: I had an extremely easy time booking my storage space, the manager called me several times leading up to the usage to confirm and coordinate all pertinent details, the actual transaction in store was quick and the employees kind and attentive, and the actual loading and unloading process is convenient and fairly painless. The 24 hour access to the space is also super convenient. All in all great service at an affordable rate

You couldn't ask for a more attentive store manager than Carrie. She is personable, knowledgeable and most of all, efficient. The facility is clean, well lit and easily accessible. Carrie helps step you through the whole process and is always willing to work with you to try and make the move in and move out as simple and painless as possible. It's a great location, with a committed manager on the premises and I would highly recommend it to others!

I couldn't be more pleased with my experience at the 901 W Adams location. The customer service was great. I reserved a unit online, and within a few minutes, I received a phone call from Carrie. I was shocked at how quick the response time was! When I went to go see the unit and fill out the paperwork, she did a great job of giving me all the information I needed to know, and she was very thorough. Glad I decided to go with Extra Space Storage!

When I went to physically check out the unit, I realized it wasn't exactly what I needed, and Chiquita helped me to sign-up for a different unit that better fit my needs. Extra Space helped me when I was in between apartments and needed to store my things for a few days. They helped me book a unit very quickly and get the best deal. Jim at the Adam’s street location in Chicago then called to make sure I had everything I needed and helped take the lock off the unit when I came into the store. I would recommend this location and extra space to anyone with storage needs!

I had some questions about how everything worked, and if Extra Space could be the right fit for some of my possessions. I spoke with with Jim, who couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating on the phone and made me feel at ease immediately. I only wish every store I dealt with had this kind of customer service. I was sold immediately and will not be looking elsewhere for my storage needs.

I have rented at a few storage places in both Chicago and the suburbs and this is by far the best one that I have used. The facilities are clean, up to date, and easy to use. Registering and getting access to my unit was a breeze. The manager Jim Cook was incredibly helpful with both of the units that I rented. The Adams team is awesome! Carrie was super friendly, bubbly, and eager to help me put my belongings into storage for the summer. We always appreciate our service at the Extra Space Storage on W. Adams. The store manager Jim is seriously the most helpful ever and makes the process super simple & seamless! Extra Space Storage is awesome! The location is central and has a loading bay for easy loading and unloading! Jim is always SUPER helpful!! He answers any questions you might have and always goes above and beyond! This location also sells supplies such as tape, boxes, locks, bubble wrap, and tv covers. I've been a member since 2012. The facility is kept very clean, I've never experienced any problems. They could use more portable stairs for the upper floors for the smaller units on the top end. Great storage overall.
