We went to Nice on our honeymoon and neither of us had been there before. The price of the tour was obvious great, but our guide Tracy really went above and beyond to make the whole tour an amazing experience. She also had a young woman training with her whose name I forget, but she was also amazing. She took time to talk with us individually and both gave us gelato, restaurant, and general Nice/French Riviera recommendations that we loved. It was so great learning history about the city and what life is like there from a local. We also did the day trip to Monaco from Nice. We got lucky and had Tracy again for that tour. She is so friendly and personable. We had a small group and she took the time to talk to each of us and listened to our input on some aspects to personalize the tour a bit. Monaco was gorgeous; if you are visiting Nice, you should definitely spend a day there! If we had more time, we would have definitely taken more tours with this company. When we visit again, we will!

Ayer reserve para hacer el free tour en Niza y en castellano, pero nuestro vuelo se retrasó y no llegamos a tiempo, hoy día 14 de agosto y hemos ido al free tour explicando lo sucedido y para intentar hacerlo hoy con la guía.Nos ha dicho que no, que lo tenía lleno y que nos fuéramos al tour en inglés, que tenía más gente que ella. Hemos hecho varios free tour durante muchos años (sandelman, free walking tour...entre otros), y JAMAS se nos ha negado unirnos a uno estando a la hora en el sitio, y sobretodo cuando habíamos reservado con vosotros el día de ayer. Mala gestión, pocas ganas de trabajar de la guía y pérdida de dos clientes para civitatis. Hacemos unos 4 viajes al año, pocos clientes tendréis así.

Hicimos el tour en español por Niza con Borja. No pudo ser más divertido y entretenido. Con sus explicaciones y anécdotas de cada sitio singular de Niza (que como dice el, te harán explotar la cabeza y no se encuentran en Google) Éramos 4, con 2 adolescentes, y lo mejor fue que consiguió la atención de ellos y que se lo pasasen bien (normalmente van arrastrando los pies con cara lacia). Repetiría y recomendaría sin duda. Sus recomendaciones para hacer en la costa Azul, también de 10.

Fran was our guide and she was really fabulous, knew so many things about the buildings and areas on our tour. She made the trip really enjoyable for all of us, showed us places to eat and to take great photos. Also gave us postcards as prizes for various things of interest we spotted on the way, which made us participate a bit more in the sightings. Not to be missed, this tour which takes a few hours and gives you so much more pleasure visiting Nice! Thankyou Fran!

Of course one can’t complain too much of a free tour (tips are obviously and rightly expected though)… but I will do to correct the current near-5-star rating. Having been to great free tours elsewhere in Europe, this one was lacklustre—or at least not to my taste: the fact it was built mostly on anecdotes, told through quizzes, and had 2x 15 min breaks within an hour suggests it is made for a lazier or younger audience. I can’t fault the guide’s attitude, though.

Spent such a wonderful 2 hours on this tour, visiting some great spots of old town and picturesque viewing points. And especially i loved all the little stories at each stop. I think its a great way to get to know in a short amount of time a bit about the town in an interactive way and see also the places you wanna return to after! And the highlight of the tour is of course the panoramic view of the city at the end ! Highly recommend it to everyone!

Tracy was an amazing guide. She was knowledgeable, attentive, energetic, and had a great personality. She answered any questions that people had, and seemed to love the job, which made the experience all the more enjoyable for all of us. She explained the history and interesting aspects of each of the places we visited, and made it fun and entertaining. She also made suggestions about great places we might want to go in Nice. Highly recommended.

There were at least 50 people on this tour and it was much to large of a group . We have been on walking tours all over Europe including Munich, Verona, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona this was first one I would not recommend. Tour was not very informative unfortunately it was difficult to hear the guide my wife was ready to leave after 15 minuets I wanted to stay thinking it might get better. Guide really needs a microphone with a group this big.

I've been to many walking tours in Europe and this was definitely the most disappointing one so far. The tour consisted of random stories about the city, and I learned very little about the city and its history/culture. I also didn't think it was professional or appropriate to poke fun at some local practices (e.g. most restaurants are not open on Sunday) without giving more context to help people understand why. Not recommended.

The walking tour was awesome. All credits goes to Amina, our tour guide who was so friendly and courteous. She started off the tour with good introduction and history of Nice and provide little stories/explanation at every stop of the way and won’t hesitate to answer any questions from anyone. I would no doubt recommend this to any tourist to Nice. Many thanks Amina and great to meet you !

We took this tour on our first day in Nice so we could get acclimated to the town! Chris was great! He was positive & funny & had a passion for the history of the area. We were glad the tour included Castle Hill, We especially appreciated the restaurant recommendations that he gave. We ended up eating at three of the places he suggested! Thanks Chris!

My husband and I went on this walk today and Shawn was a terrific guide! We learned so much about Nice and the local area and he included all the key areas and the best places for photos of the city and area. These walking tours are amazing way to discover the city ! On my first day I joined the group on Place Massena and I had the best time. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and told us very interesting stories about the places. I totally recommend this tour to anyone who is new in the city and wants to find out more than just a regular tourist.

Matige organisatie, leek vooral een gesponsorde tour. Weinig eigen inbreng of extra wat meer diepgaande informatie. In vergelijking met andere steden in Europa helaas een van de minst interessante tours en slechts gericht op één deel van de stad. Met meerdere thema's zouden ze diverse tours met een breder publiek kunnen bereiken.

My friends and I joined the walking tour of Nice hosted by Renata on Saturday. It was a fantastic way to explore and Renata was highly informative, engaging, knowledgable and super friendly. Would highly recommend. Please note that the tour is free, donations are welcome and, in my opinion, very well deserved.

It was very informative. Our guide, Kate, is excellent, she gave us anecdotes and the larger historical context. She was fun and had a sweet way to get audience participation. As a travel-writer who lived in Nice though far too briefly and long ago, i learned a lot and would thoroughly recommend the tour.

Tom gave us a very nice tour of Nice on Friday 26th August. He gave us A LOT of information (even though his English was too good too fast for us to follow, the information we got was still a lot), all interesting. He was very professional, he did a very good job. We were happy to tip him.

I thoroughly enjoyed the free walking tour. It covered a lot of the city and provided just enough history to be interesting without boring. Highly recommend if you want to see most of Nice, plus you end at the top of Castle Hill where you can hang out, take lots of pics and have a drink.

Paulina was very friendly and managed to keep most of the people around, regardless the intense hot weather we faced on that they. With a microphone would be better as the city has construction sites everywhere and the places visited were rather noisy. I recommend it though.

We really enjoyed our tour with Damir. He kept us all entertained with interesting history, "little known" facts, fun stories about Nice, etc. I highly recommend this trip. It's a great introduction to a beautiful city and a really good overview of the different areas.

A very interesting tour, our guide shared lots of interesting information and stories about Nice and the buildings/monuments. A large group due to the rugby, but our American guide managed to cope.
