Unfortunately I did not have a good experience and that lies with one of their front staff. Young girl, half pink half black hair, somewhat tall and thin. When I got dropped off, it was by an Uber driver. He did not speak fluent English and that’s perfectly fine. What wasn’t fine was the girl being dropped off by her companion, hopped out of the vehicle at the turn in (blocking the path for others, ironically), yelled at the guy that “you know you’re taking up two spots, bro”. The guy politely waved, agreed, I unloaded the rest of my bins, and went inside. When I went to the front desk to ask which ones weren’t out of order, the girl in question, with an attitude; “the ones not in order.” Yes, thank you, however some unlabeled had no lights, which she also said was an indicator. It was not. As I was writing this review to keep note of, the suspected owner let me know of a better washing machine (rather than where I was and where the girl had initially pointed to, all with attitude), doing a proper job and not inputting weird personal emotions into the mix. I couldn’t find the lady otherwise I would’ve spoken with her about this and not necessarily reviewed, but I could not. The girl, during her initial shift, sat outside with her companion, smoking and generally goofing off. Would be one thing if she hadn’t been rude during the entire exchange. The suspected owner is a nice lady, but she needs to reevaluate her choice in staff. This was unacceptable behavior. Unfortunately our machine breaks often and we have to utilize this laundromat. I don’t wish for this to be a regular occurrence. It’s incredibly unwelcoming and unprofessional behavior.

Customer service at an ultimate low today I’ve been coming to this laundromat for years and never had an issue until today. Sometimes the dryers act funny and today in particular the dryer warned me that there was an error with the door and lint collector and advised me to take out my card. Not knowing that it was taking off more money on my card until I went to start my other dryer. So I notified staff and she was very very rude to me. She snatched my card out of my hand and argued with me about the amount of time needed for my dryer and caused a huge seen for nothing. I was so appalled as I’ve been coming here for years. This same woman who argued with me knows that I’ve been coming here for years, as she’s been working here the entire time since I’ve been a customer here. I cannot believe she handled the issue in the manner in which she did and, I’m very disappointed with the way she handled things. I’m not sure that I feel comfortable continuing to was my clothes at this laundromat with this patient ulnar worker being present. As she has now created unnecessary tension between the two of us. Besides this women, other staff have been very helpful and inviting. * I would also appreciate if the owner did not comment under my complaint today. As the owner was not there to witness what happened. The only person working was just an employee. Also based off the responses from the owner on previous reviews, it seems as though them, themselves are a bit rude as well. **Please respect my wishes and don’t comment under my review. You have plenty of “good” reviews to bring potential new customers into your place of business.

Vivian is the best! I do 2-3 loads at least once, every weekend. This laundromat is clean, has great staff and their prices are reasonable. There are 3 different sized washers (2, 4 or 6 "load" washers that are for ~20, 40 and 60 loads). The machines use a card system, which is definitely the way to go, as you receive an immediate 10% bonus when you load your card with a $20 bill (don't load with smaller increments though, use an actual $20.) The initial cost of the card is $3, but it pays for itself over the course of a few visits. Vivian is the staff person on duty when I visit on weekend mornings. She is very helpful. I would highly recommend having her assist with your first load on your first visit so you can learn from her, although this isn't necessary, she's always available to answer any questions. While my apartment building has a washer and a dryer available for tenants that uses quarters, I'm happy to pay a little bit more per load for higher quality machines and the ability to get all of my loads done at the same time. If you don't want to do your own laundry, you can pay per pound for the staff to wash, dry and fold for you. I haven't taken advantage of this service, but many do pick up the clean laundry while I'm doing mine. They do not accept credit cards for any services. Cash or check only. They're open every day except, New Years Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, July 4, and Easter Sunday. Vivian is the best!

Very expensive. No prices posted, the price on the machine is not what you pay and there is no signage to explain it. The attendant didn't bother to explain how the pricing works but just kept telling us to get a card which we didn't want since this was a 1 time deal. Cards are $3 and then you load the amount you need, but you would never know how much that is. Other option is to just pay her as you go and she charges 25 cents extra per wash or dry. The washing went fine, but the '4 load' washer, holds 1 load of clothes and is $6. That's bad enough and then the drying is worse. It says $1.05 on the machine but to dry for 45 mins on colors ended up being $3.90 and worse to dry for 60 mins on delicates was somehow $5.20?? And to top off the bad experience the 45mins normal dry didn't even dry everything, many items were still very damp. I have no idea how other laundromats work in Seattle so maybe all this is very normal, but either way I would not recommend this place. One thing going for it is the location (hence the 2nd star), being in Fremont you can at least go sit at a coffee shop while you wait, because you definitely don't want to hang out in the laundromat.

Much better than lunar laundry. Please see my review. Very decent person running the place and washers that work well, washing AND DRYING my clothes. Unlike said competitor. No one is paying me to endorse or not endorse either of these places; I'm just trying to get my laundry done! I will definitely be back here regardless of the card system. That is only reason I gave them 4 stars. But when you purchase the card for $3 you get an extra $2 for every $20 you spend so you end up paying $1 for the card. But then in the first $40 you spend on your wash, the card has paid for itself and you're a dollar ahead! And they add $2 every time you put 20 on every time, so they're actually paying you to use their machines! Otherwise I have absolutely good service, good facilities and good machines. Love the giant dryer for $4 ! You can put a sleeping bag and at least two loads of laundry into that thing all at the same time! And definitely dig the new machines and the stainless steel look. Much nicer than pretty much any laundromat I've ever been to, and I've been to quite a few! Thanks!

We first came to Fremont Clean Express as refugees from the terrible laundromat atop Queen Anne. Our first experience was pleasant, greeted by friendly staff to a relatively clean atmosphere and machines. The following months things certainly took a turn for the worst and it’s been downhill ever since. Constant broken machines resulting in ruined cycles because the machines didn’t drain or dry. One particularly frustrating experience saw us having to leave our clothes over night and return the following day. We were promised our clothes would be washed, dried and awaiting us upon our return, only to discover they were left wet in the machine the whole day. Then we were told WE HAD TO PAY to rewash them. We’ve wasted way too much time and patience as a result of this places blatant lack of concern for quality. We will no longer be bringing our clothes to this establishment and I would encourage anyone looking for a laundromat to look elsewhere.

This place is terrible, for the simple reason that they're never open when they say they'll be. Your google profile says you're open from 9am to 9pm. Your website says you're open from 9am to 9pm. So why is it that for the last 3 our of 5 times I've showed up at 4pm on a wednesday to do a wash, you're closed? Well, it's obvious why. Because the people working there are lazy and want to close early so they can go home. Great, good for you. What about the people who are planning their days around your hours, last wash schedule, etc. Surprise, your plans are now foiled. The attitude of the staff is atrocious as well. How dare you come in 3 hours before closing with a new load - you just ruined that employees night, because she was hoping to skip work early, and she won't hesitate to tell you so with a barrage of cursing and infantilization. I'll never go here again, and I suggest you don't either if you value your time.

The slumlords of laundry. I live right across the street, yet now drive all the way to Lunar Laundry in Ballard to wash my clothes because this place is so bad. The washers often don't run thru, then the attendant accuses you of putting in too much soap (I use single packet soap, so there's no chance of that). It's always your fault, and always an argument. And, the regulars know that you have to ask in advance what dryers actually get hot, otherwise you'll pay for drying just to find that it was just cold air--and it'll be your fault. This place is a perfect example of what you get when some soulless business person tries to milk a profit out of a small investment while deferring maintenance and pissing off its own customers. Lunar is much classier, and their customers are classier. Save money and time, and stay away from this vortex of shameless mediocrity.

I hadn't been to a laundromat in years and brought a bag of quarters, based on my old school memories of what it was like. I discovered that everything is different now in laundromats, with pay cards and such, and also machines that don't function like the ones in my apt building. I was already aggravated by having to go there in the first place, after the facilities in my apt building were down, and felt pretty bewildered. But I was rescued by a kind and very helpful attendant named Della. She was super calm and gave good tips and instructions on how to use the pay card machine, the washer/dryers when they acted a little twitchy, etc. It made the experience so much better, and she was friendly and helpful to all of the customers there, some of whom also hadn't been to a laundromat in ages, from overhearing their remarks. Thank you Della! :)

I had an absolutely delightful time at Frenmony cleaning express! They have free wifi... and no ATM... also they're almost entirely cash only. Machines and soap, the reasons you go to a laundromat are cash only. Standard... yay. Lucky the restaurant next door has an ATM. Okay, in order to operate the machines, you need a $3 dollar card. Yay!! On this card, you can put cash on it!! Double yay!!! And if you leave it in the dryer, it will drain the entire balance in a few minutes!!! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! There's no warning on the machine, or anywhere I've looked. I mentioned it to the attendant and she said, "ya, it'll do that..." and cheerily when on her marry day! Nothing I love more than losing 40 doing 4 loads of laundry! So if any of that sounds like a good time to you, please come on down. Personally, I'm going elsewhere

Very nice Laundromat! The first time here I paid the Attendant to start the machines for me at their regular prices which are very reasonable. Since then I've learned about their optional discount card which is really a great way to save a lot of money. When you purchase card for $3.00 you can then add money to the card on their value adder machine and then use it to start any machine for less money than the regular prices. So you basically end up getting more than the $3.00 back right away and then can re-load the card with money when your balance goes down and continue to use the same card each time you come back. And for every $20 that you spend you get $2.00 bonus put on the card. I've found that it really adds up! It is also very clean, well maintained and the people that work here are nice and helpful.

I barely stepped in the door and an older women whom I couldn’t tell if she worked there or not, looked me up and down and told me what do I need. No greet or welcome at all, there was also a male with her who had no mask on staring me down the entire time with his mouth opened very unsanitary during this pandemic. I arrived at 7p and 2hrs before close and they told me I could not wash my clothes. I checked the door before walking in there in case there was a cut off time and did not see it displayed. Interaction was very rude and off putting. I’ve been going here for years and every now and then there are different staff working. I have never seen this dynamic duo before but there “customer service” sucks!! Not friendly, not welcoming, very unpleasant experience at my local laundromat near me.

After making this my go to laundromat, today’s experience will be my last. Horrible attitude from the employee working the front desk. I saw her snap at 4 customers, scowling at each one. When asked simple questions she was condescending and could really care less about anyone. At least half of the machines are out of order, and the ones that do work took an hour longer than normal to dry. I asked her if there was something wrong with the dryers and she shrugged her shoulders and said “you overloaded them”. This is the exact same load that I do each week, and I said… no that’s not it. She said “you have a bad attitude - why don’t you just leave?”. I’d love to but see, my clothes are still wet. The owners have let this place slide downhill in a very short time.

  • Joe Salmeri

I really liked this clean, classy Laundromat. I can see why it’s so popular. The nice lady working there explained that you have choices. You can either pay her to start the machines (cash or credit card) at the regular prices or else purchase a “Clean Express” discount cash card for $3.00 that you load value onto and it actually starts the machines at the discounted prices (great for regular customers). So I did the math, figured it was a good deal, then purchased the card and saved $4.00 off the regular prices using it to do my laundry the first time. And the card is reloadable so I can keep adding value to it at the card machine there whenever I need to in order to get the discounted prices at the machines.

The employees who work here are extremely helpful and kind, plus there's parking! Unfortunately, there is no AC. It got so hot when I was there yesterday that I couldn't even stay inside the laundromat waiting for my clothes! I couldn't even finish folding my clothes in that heat, so I took them home crumpled instead. Being outside in the direct sunlight was cooler than being inside, so I have no idea how the employees manage to be in that place all day. It was triple digits in there, which is so inhumane towards the workers! They are incredible at what they do, and they need AC! Air conditioning would bring my review up from 2 stars to 5.

2021 Edit: New owners must have taken over because the service has gone downhill. The price is still the same but the attendants are incredibly rude and look down upon you just for using their service. Original review: Great neighborhood laundromat. If you're a regular (or going to be one), get a card and fill it up $20 at a time. It adds an extra $2 as a bonus credit. I go in the evenings and always find Cathy to be very helpful. Always like talking to her and she always knows which are the best dryers to use when it comes around for that. Since it's attended you can take a quick walk to kill some time. Place has plenty of parking too.

  • Frankie Valenti

I am appalled at the treatment of customers on the review page here. Especially the response to Sandi, who they forced to take home a pile of wet laundry after the business failed to advertise their hours clearly, and then respond to her warning others by saying "you felt the rules don't apply to you." Shopping for laundromat, will never go here!! A bad review is a chance for you to address your poor performance, not try to blame your poor customers carting wet laundry home. It costs you nothing to make larger signage and verify your website is correct, and you should never shut off machines when someone is still drying. Shame on you.

When I moved here two years ago, I needed to find a laundromat to handle a large amount of laundry. What initially was supposed to be a one time visit, quickly turned into my frequent laundromat. I have a washer and dryer in my apartment building but don't even use it because I can get all my laundry done in a third of the time. Not to mention the place is clean, has many washers and dryers, and the hours are great. Cathy is unbelievably sweet and always ready to assist when needed. She is able to turn a mundane and tedious chore into a pleasant one. Bonus--you can pop into one of the many bars or restaurants nearby while you wait. :)

  • Rob Iliff

I feel $3.00 for the card to load your money on is too high.... aditionally, there are entirely too many machines here with "out of order" signs on them.... out of order equals "no revenue" why a laundromat of this size would tolerate any machines to be out of order in beyond my understanding.... 16 dryers and 6 of them do not work.... enough with the bad though. I thought the attendant was very helpful... knowing his dryers didn't work, he kept an eye on the customers and let them know when their dryer was finished so others didn't have to wait long... the equipment that worked looked nice and worked well....

  • Ray Hines

I have been doing laundry here for 6 years. It has all the options: drop off service, super big machines, regular machines and convenient location. Cathy is the evening attendant, always a warm hello and a smile. Have gotten to know her a bit and always aim to do laundry on her nights. She will help you out if a machine gets snagged while you are next door at one of the many bars/restaurants during a cycle or if you need to know which dryer to use. Always run into a fellow sailor here too! NOTES: The system is cash-for-credit on a card so those of you who never carry any, hit an ATM before you come.

  • Anna K.

The first time we came it was closed during the working hours. The second time we came, half the machines were out of order. Literally no customers except for us. We asked if they accept the credit cards and they said yes. We loaded a few machines and then it turns out they don’t accept the regular card credit cards but instead their own type of card that you buy and load with cash - paper bills. We looked for an ATM and there were none open nearby. The stuff looked completely disinterested, no help from their side. After ~30 mins we took our stuff and went to the laundromat next door. Never again!

We have been using FCE for our oversized comforters since we moved to Seattle 8 months ago. Drop off in the morning - pick up after work in the afternoon. Staff is over-the-top friendly - they remember my name - and even asked me 1 week why I only had 1 to wash instead of 2. With the volume of customers - their ability to remember me is great. Now - to the washing - our comforters are cleaned perfectly - and we actually look forward to the day we get them cleaned - our bed never smells as perfect as the day we bring them home. If you're in Fremont - there's no 2nd choice - FCE is where to go.

  • Elise M

Lots of machines, but I found the dryers largely used (a lot by the staff for drop-off orders (I assume)), so ended up having to wait the longest for a dryer. Also, the dryers run VERY HOT and have melted patches of a handful of fluffy fleece blankets, making them very scratchy and unusable for me. I was drying them on the lowest heat setting and it still happened. The gal working there told me that it happens... But why no warning that it may ruin my stuff?? Big bummer. The floors were also pretty grimy, so if you drop your clothes while removing from the washer or dryer, its kinda gross :/

  • Patrick Julian

Pushy little owner aggravated me the whole time I was here. Made me move my clothes because she did not want me using a machine that she wanted to use. Pushed buttons on the dryer over my shoulder while I was trying to get my laundry drying started when the dryer I was using didn't work and I pointed it out I felt as though the woman knew the dryer did not work and when I move them to another dryer she said no moving again so I had to move them a second time and she put about half the time on the machine as what I had put on the dryer in the first place which cost me money and time

  • PaviElle Williamson

Had quite a bit of laundry so I set aside enough time to get it all done. The lady who worked there was very kind and helpful when I needed help with how to pay. I got there at open and I had time to wash and dry. It looks like they are short staffed because the lady had to wash and dry all the drop off clothes by herself. I offered to even buy her a coffee but she turned it down. It was very clean in the place, not sure if they have a public bathroom. I normally wash my clothes at other places and they have very competitive prices and your clothes come out very clean.

  • Luc M

Went here for the first time on 2/15/2021, 3 days after some snow hit us and the roads were cleared, just wet. Showed up at 11:30 only to find the doors locked. Lights were on and neon “OPEN” sign was on. Tried calling the number on their website twice and no one picked up. There was a woman there who had taken the bus and had been waiting since opening, in the cold, for someone to come open the doors so she could do her laundry. Whole schedule for the day thrown off due to having to find and drive to a different laundromat. Never going to try going here again.

  • Rachel Lenkey

I've been coming here for 5 years now and the place has continued to offer great service. I have never had to wait for a machine, my clothes come out cleaned and dried without any problem, the location is always clean and in a convenient location if you need to drive in. Free Wi-Fi is provided while you wait. You will purchase a card to load money on the first time you come; bonus dollars are added if you put in anything above a $10, I believe. Also, a shout out to Cathy for great customer service, assistance as needed, and fun chats to pass the time.

  • Marissa Hamilton

Not only do you have to buy a card to use on their outdated and slow machines (costs $3 to purchase the card and you don't get that in credit), this place is extremely expensive, small, and outdated. Be prepared to bring only cash in bills not quarters as there is no atm within a half a mile and to load money on your $3 card, only cash is accepted. Can't really wrap my head around the fact that I spent $30 on three loads of laundry (these are regular capacity washers) and after drying twice as long as the normal cycle, I still left with damp laundry.

  • Sandi Mann

At 7:20pm, after looking on website for hours (9am-10pm), hauled a load of soaking wet laundry (my washer stopped spinning) was told i wasn't allowed in to use a machine. I saw the "last load cant be started after 7) in small print under "hours open" I shared my situation with the attendant and that i wouldn't be drying my load. She was ready close down and closed the door on me. I did suggest she turn the OPEN sign off. NOT HAPPY ... could have my clothes drying in my dryer he said she had already cleaned and emptied coin holders a. HAPPY

  • Reiko Rivera

Great place with friendly staff and lots of good resources. Free WiFi and bathroom. You do need to buy a laundry card ($3) and then load it in order to use the machines. So be prepared for that. Can all be done inside and the cards don’t expire and are reusable and reloadable. Two load washers are $3 Four load washers are $6 Eight load washers are $9 Dryers are $1.05 Just in case you need to know prices. I had to come here after the basement at my apartment building flooded and laundry is out indefinitely and wouldn’t mind having to return.

  • Sandra Allen

I love this laundry mat!!! The staff is nice, helpful and is always going the extra mile. I am always leaving laundry, being forgetful and not picking it up on time, Vivian, Kathy & Maria are so kind and patient! Always helpful answers to my questions, like load size, stain removal, etc. I would recommend this laundry mat over any in the state! The staff is wonderful the facility is always clean and the machines usually always have availability. Cheers to still enjoying the weird things in life like laundry mats ! Ha

Staff Needs a Washing. I found the customer service here really lacking not only by the attendant but by the owner/manager himself. On two different visits when I spoke about my concerns, I couldn't get straight information including info about the new card system (why $3 for the card itself? why non-refundable?), the advertised 'free wi-fi (why were there restrictions? and why were personal log-on sites blocked like google?) etc. I felt like an intruder here when I should have been treated royal 'like a customer'.

  • Oliver Hoffmann

As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the friendly attendant. She showed me straight to an empty machine, asked if I was local, which I wasn't, so she used her card, loaded some laundry powder in and got it a going. After a half hour I returned and she assisted me again with the dryer and at the end just tallied it all and I paid. Amazing service, highly recommend this laundromat. Bonus is free WiFi while you wait! Or you could go for a walk to the very cool gas works park just a 5-10min strole down the road.

  • Kelli Bunch

I finally visited this laundromat after living nearby for years. It was clean, prices were reasonable and Tatiana kindly and patiently walked me through everything (it was my first time at a laundromat and she was incredibly helpful.) I would highly recommend their services and I really appreciated the customer service Tatiana gave, never laughing at my silly questions. They also have some truly massive washers and were able to handle my comforter and down sleeping bag gently. I will be back!

  • Sara Andersen

Decent laundromat. They offer a laundry service in addition to self serve. I decided against buying a card, seeing as I only need to use them once. I paid $6.40 for 1 load in the wash, 1 in the dryer and a box of detergent. I am pleased with how my clothes turned out. Very helpful woman at the counter. The restroom however was pretty dirty and most of the information (signs/poster) was from past events. Note as of 6/10/16 all the equipment was running well- no out of order signs on sight.

  • Teresa Polk

I LOVE this place!! I come here specifically to do business with Cathy!! She is the attendant in the afternoon and evening. Cathy keeps the place spotless and will cheerfully respond to any questions or concerns. On my first visit, she greeted me warmly and introduced me to their machines and system of payment (card system). After having experienced plenty of the "Seattle chill" around town she is a very bright and pleasant person to do business with! THANK YOU CATHY!!!

  • Kanyapat Banthupa

Very Clean and Classy Laundromat. The washers and dryers all work really well. The people that work there are nice and very helpful too. I love that the machines start with their smart card instead of using dirty quarters and you event get a discount when you use the card. I use their drop off laundry service sometimes when I’m really busy and they always do a wonderful job and quick too. Plenty of parking and bonus….they even have air conditioning and free Wi-Fi.

  • Michele A

OUT OF ORDER for having so many filthy, overpriced, out of order machines! Thanks to the bad experience and mediocre customer service over the phone and with regards to their dirty machines (I had to ask for a 2nd Clorox wipe when she offered only one). The good part is, while I washed, I did a Google search, drove to see with my own eyes, and discovered 2 new places. I will gladly drive the additional 3 miles, and I did! I drove to one of them to dry my clothes!

  • brittany gaither

This place is clean and the owner is very accommodating and nice! Stop worrying about the $3 card needed to use the machines do the math, you get it back. Also, it’s common sense to know that if her closing time is 9pm the last load needs to be in by 7 to close by 9. Cmon people, it’s not that hard. Overall, the place is clean, the machines are well kept, and as a tourist, I felt comfortable sitting here doing my vacation laundry before heading home.

  • Erin O’Dell

Saw a similar experience. Looked up this place online and they said “open”. Very cool. Drove down. This older woman looked at me and said “we’re closed”. I looked past her at the open sign. “Closed Saturday”’, it said under it. “It’s Friday?” She said no laundry after 7pm. Well you all should say that on your website. Wasted a trip. Not a very friendly person but whatever it’s laundry. But I will find another place to go, that wants business.

  • Chanel Colinares

Been going to Fremont Clean Express for almost 2 years now and it's the best laundromat in town! Cathy is always so friendly and helpful, the facility itself is very clean and well kept, dryer filters are always cleaned out and they offer a laundry service that is excellent as well. Great location, Fremont brewing is next door, or a great cafe across the street and plenty of restaurants nearby while you wait for your laundry!

  • Dustin Foster

Awesome laundromat- I'd rate a full 5 stars but they have one employee who's younger and always has his friends there and they are outside constantly smoking. Which I think he only works one day a week. Other then that this place is really awesome, and I love that you pay using a pay-as-you-go card, no more hauling around quarters!!! *As of 10/7/14 the Debit/Credit machine is still down lol, not sure if it's getting fixed!

  • Lynette Roberts

Initially I came in to use their beautifully big machines to clean my blankets and such. The place is always so clean and the people working there are very helpful and nice. Once I started to use their drop off service I was even happier. My laundry is usually done the same day and it looks so professional. Cathy is the evening attendant who has been nothing but amazing and sweet. I will never go anywhere else now.

  • Dana Fast Horse

Too expensive $3.00 to buy a card then that doesn't go on your wash its just for the card! Then you can add your money the washers are $3 for the two loaders an $1.05 to dry which is only 15 mins which did not dry my clothes all the way so I had to buy more dry time all together I spent close to $20 dollars. Such a ripoff and they have the audacity to have pictures or my native people hanging up in there. Boo!!!

  • Teddy Kostadinova

I've been going to this place for two years.I have great experience. And what makes my experience even more amazing is Cathy. She is the most amazing person.I don't even know how many times she wait for me to pick-up my laundry, because of my work schedule and how many more times she'll get my laundry done and ready for two hours.Thank you Cathy for your help and everything you do.I truly appreciate it. I wish I looked at the reviews first. I put money in 2 dryers that did not work and the clerk kept saying allow more time. 30 minutes and clothes weren't even warm but she would not stop folding clothes to check it out . I will never come back here again. I didn't have time or money to waste. Convience of drop off must be what keeps this place afloat certainly not concerned with self service customers.

  • Bobby Axlerod

Usually love this place but recently this chick who prolly indulges in bad activities just recently started working day shift and my experience recently has become bad. She is never working, my clothes are never ready when I come to pick up or the clothes are missing. Get rid of her while you still can or you’ll lose more customers. The mother/daughter team is the best staff their by far!!!!

  • Callula Patterson

I dropped off my white comforter and paid extra to have it done for me. Got it back with a HUGE yellow stain on it. I did ask for the comforter to be bleached and I’m concerned that they dumped a high concentration of bleach right on it which might have caused the yellow stain. Regardless, this massive yellow stain wasn’t there when I dropped it off and now my nicest comforter is ruined.

  • Mar G

Dirty. Had hair and suds all over the washing machines. The dryers were all out of order after I put the clothes in there, even though there wasn’t a sign indicating that they were so had to move all the clothes. Payment here is a little weird. The lady working didn’t advise on time to dry clothes and had damp clothes I still put outside my balcony to dry. Won’t be coming back overall.

  • Stephanie D

The girl with colored hair who works there had now turned us away five times even though it’s way before closing times. She always has sketchy people with her outside. Each time it’s the same thing she claims she has to leave and doesn’t know when the next person is coming in. Seems as many people have had similar issues and the owner is very mean and unprofessional in review comments.

  • Lamandalynne “Panda Rex” Promise

Nice and clean!! Plenty of washers and dryers. Probably the best laundromat I've EVER been to!! The dryer my boyfriend and I were using wasn't drying our clothes well. When we brought it up to the attendant at the desk she acknowledged the issue and was prompt with coming up with a solution. I appreciate her very much. This is my first time here and very satisfied!! Thank you!!

  • Matt Hack

This place is a rip off!!! they have a stupid card system that you have to pay extra to use!!! They only take cash to use their card in the machines and if you don"t have a card you pay an extra 50 cents per large load and 25 cents for each small load .It cost me $14 to do TWO LOADS OF LAUNDRY!!! I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN F THIS PLACE. The lady was really nice though s !!

  • Jared

This place is filthy. I see pictures from 3 years ago and it looks nice so I know there is potential but it’s clear the owners make zero effort to clean the facility or maintain the machines. Half the machines were out of order and the other half were gross, had broken buttons or buttons so worn you couldn’t even tell what cycle you selected. Go somewhere else if you can.

  • Brenda Roberts

Very clean and nice employees...but...... Over priced for sure. I didn't have a card so they charged extra for 2 loads...no biggie only .50 but when it came to drying OMG....$3.90 FOR 45 MINS AND THE CLOTHES ARE STILL NOT DRY! I was comped 15 mins in another dryer but seriously....are you kidding me? For that price should have been at least enough to dry the clothes.

  • Kian Schmetzer

I come here frequently for my laundry needs and I always have a good experience. There have been several occasions where Cathy has been exceptionally kind and helpful with me. All the employees I’ve encountered have been great, but I feel as though Cathy takes it a step further and makes it a joy to come in. Great place, never overly busy and I’d give it 5 stars.

  • Tyler Wedrosky

I love taking my clothes to get washed and dried at Fremont Clean Express Laundromat! The washers and dryers work well and the staff is friendly, attentive, and very helpful. 10/10 would recommend Fremont Clean Express Laundromat to anyone in the area (or out of town) to get their clothes all cleaned up :) special shout out to laundromat employee Cathy on here.

  • Jonathan Himsel

Careful with the dryers. It was my first time using it. They’re not able to put more money on your card, so I’m out money (really hard times, terrible to take advantage of the customer). I thought my card wasn’t working but it took 4 dollars out and it was the dryer not working. If nothing happens first time putting card in seek the attendant immediately

  • Miles Taylor

The first time experience of the Fremont Clean Express was honest. The workers were kind, hardworking, and helpful. I was never confused about the process; they were knowledgeable of the wash/dry time and never stopped cleaning. The late-night store hours fit my schedule and enabled me to be a functional adult. My first visit will not be my last.

  • Adri

Most of the washers and dryers are broken. That means you have to do each load separately or wait for someone else to finish their load to start yours. The dryers are terrible. Some work and some don’t, you just need to take a gamble. You constantly have to be shifting your laundry around and waste money on dryers that are not working.

  • John Wilson

Was able to get my laundry done for a little over 6 bucks. Took almost 2 hours. They offer drop-off service for those that would like to pretend they are a child again and have an adult do their laundry for them. Teriyaki joint right beside it so lunch is a convenient 10 feet away. Gasworks is not far away either (for the transplants.)

  • Aos Si

I love Fremont Clean Express. I would say its an upsalce laundromat. Its always clean, the prices are awesome in comparison to other places, there's AC and WIFI! I I really like how the machines are larger than my apartment ones. And best of all on a hot summer day i can relax and eat some good food at the restaurants next door.

  • Kanokkan Siriveerawan

Wonderful place to do Laundry. The staff takes great care of they business. Always someone there to help and they even watch your stuff for you if want to leave while your clothes are still washing and come back later. Very clean, good equipment and even lower prices than the other laundromats I've been to in the area.

  • Quinn V.

Was turned away and told I couldn’t wash my small load because I didn’t show up at 7pm on the dot. Two hours is MORE than enough time to wash and dry a load, the cut off is absolutely ridiculous. I depended on this laundromat because of how late it was open. What is the point in saying you’re open until 9pm?

  • ashley heaslip

This is my FAVORITE place to get all of my laundry done. Cathy the sweet lady that works there always greets me with a warm welcome, and willing to always help me have the best experience while I am there. Affordable, free parking for customers, and they offer drop off service! Five stars all the way.

  • Dick McManus

Not only have they cut their hours but they aren't even honoring them. Try to go in at 4pm only to get told they aren't allowing loads anymore that day. Used this place for 10 years and now can't get my laundry done there. Moving to Lunar Laundry in Ballard, they seem to be honoring their hours still.

  • Sara Smith

I love fremont clean express. I am very comfortable every time I come to do my laundry here and Cathy is always welcoming and friendly making it a great experience. I would not consider using a different cleaner because of her. She is very hardworking and helpful. I'm so glad I found this place!

  • jirapan Bantopa

Wonderful laundromat. Plenty of parking, super clean, machines in all sizes and very helpful Attendants. All of the equipment is in good condition and is reasonably priced. They take cash or credit cards and also have a club card for frequent users that really save you money. I will repeat.

  • Austin Cushman

Came in here two months ago right when I moved up to Seattle and I come in here all the time to do laundry! The first time in here I was greeted and helped by Cathy she was so much help! My girlfriend and I have became great friends with her, we love her! Friendly service and great pricing!

  • Tom Reger

I live on a boat and its easier for me to do laundry in big washers: they have huge washers and dryers here. The people are super nice, Cathy is who I usually see, but everyone is nice. The place is clean and well run. There is a bar next door to kill the time, and teriyaki next door too.

  • Oh Ayucharoen

Best laundromat I have ever been to. Great prices, pay with credit card or cash. Attendant keeps the place really clean. Newer equipment in all sizes, even some very large capacity machines for comforters. Plenty of parking, nice area with a popular Bar and a good Teriyaki place next door.

  • Chris McMorrow

Half the machines are broken, there’s an old woman who works here who yells at people when they ask questions, and I found out today that if you leave the prepaid card in the slot on a dryer it eats away at the balance. Their card system is terrible. I’m going to find another laundry.

  • Linda M. Bagley

I know I'm nuts but I drive all the way from Bellevue to do my laundry at Fremont Clean Epress. I have to give a shout out today to Tatiana who is probably the nicest person I have worked with at the laundry. She is a keeper. She was a pleasure to all that came in. Thank you Tatiana.

  • Holly Polak

Wonderful place to do laundry. I drive all the way from Ballard to come here because it’s the only Laundromat in the area that has free, convenient parking... plus it’s modern, has a nice variety of equipment, is well maintained by the Attendants, and very reasonably priced.

  • josh linton

The staff there is amazing and friendly, and the machines and facilities are always clean and kept up. I'm typically there in the evenings and the lady that is there is always helpful and friendly. It's a great place to do my laundry especially since it's just a block away.

  • Zoe Dugdale

I was told to bring my laundry in at 3:30 pm on august 8th and the woman not only turned me away she hung up on me when I verified the number. When I was told to bring my laundry in the lady on the phone was extremely nice and set up my appointment. Very disappointed.

  • Lyndsey

This is by far my favorite Laundromat in Seattle! Cathy is the most charming lady and always very helpful. The facilities are always clean and I never have trouble finding an available washer or dryer. They even offer drop off laundry service for an affordable price.

  • Chris Oehler

Came here to wash our clothes before our flight on Monday morning, and the lady decided to close shop two hours before the posted time, with our clothes still in a dryer. They are closed Easter Sunday, so we will not be able to retrieve our clothes before our flight.

  • Jesse James

Even though a lot of machines are down unfortunately it was overall a very good experience and the front desk lady was pretty awesome. All the construction is causing their machines to pop the breaker but when it happened to us the lady started the machine for us

  • Paige Rigby

A nice clean place. A little pricey because the dryers didn't get my clothes dry with one cycle and they were only half filled. You also have to buy a card for $3 then add the money to that. They have plenty of extra large washers and dryers for large loads.

  • Rochelle Tsai

Solid laundromat - I come here often. Due to my schedule, I always arrive about 15 minutes before they open and Vivian kindly opens 15 minutes early for me! Another woman who works there (don't know her name) also does this as well. Great service!

  • WES Harman

Clean-seeming facility but the in-house 'cash card' system is a rip and a $0.50 surcharge to use the laundry lady's 'cash card' is bogus. I want to do laundry, not take out a bank loan. Simplify your payment system. It's 2020 for pete's sake.

  • J J

Clean building, friendly attendant who was proactively helpful, and working machines. Pay using a laundry cash card, which you can load cash (but not coins) onto. Been going here for months and have never had a bad experience with machinery.

  • Peter Plantenberg

This place is the best. Cathy is always helpful, suggesting the best dryers, restarting my machine if it clicks off and giving tips on how to avoid wrinkles. And the laundry service is great if you really want someone else to do it.

  • Tamara Hayes

I also have a washer and dryer in my apartment, but instead, I come here once a week because I can get my laundry done much more quickly. The parking is easy and the laundromat is very clean, and Cathy is so helpful and attentive!!

  • Morikubo Karen

Great laundromat. Melvin was very helpful. Machines were clean and in working order. I happened to arrive in the early afternoon and there was no wait, although I understand it can get busy. I will come back to wash my comforters.

  • Plude Starklord

This is a great laundromat! The environment is safe and relaxed for all different types of people, and Cathy, the attendant is very nice and helpful. I hate doing laundry, but having a place like this makes it a whole lot easier.

  • Calista Johnson

I love this place! Cathy is very friendly and helpful. I live on the hill but I travel here because the laundromat is clean and they have parking not to mention a bar next door if you want to have a drink while you wait!

  • Kai Borden

First time here but I see why it's so highly rated. Classy, super clean, great parking in a popular Fremont location, well maintained (cash or credit cards) and helpful attendants. I will definitely be a regular here.

  • Carissa Martin

Self service but not coin operated. You'll have to purchase a cash card with bills, or pay the attendant to start the machines with a card. Also make sure to bring your own detergent as there isn't any for purchase.

  • Ramona Chase

I prefer to come here, it is fairly small but the attendants are helpful, and pleasant. I really like the new washers that run 43 min, my clothes get much cleaner. All in all its unreasonably priced, and clean.

  • Ralph Hofmann

I had to wash some comforters. This place has a person on site, friendly service, and a really clean environment. You have to pay the person at the counter and she will start the washer and dryer for you.

  • Christine Kimball

I move around a lot but whenever I come to Seattle I use this laundromat. Good facilities, clean, friendly service, reasonable price. Cathy knows the machines best and always answers any questions I have!

  • Camille Bakley

Vivian is always so nice and helpful. I come in once a week and do my family’s laundry while I’ve been staying in Seattle, and always make sure I can visit with her while there. Thanks so much Vivian! (:

  • Kathy Smith

Laundromat is very clean and the attendant super helpful. Gave me advice on best washers and dryers to use for my blankets and rugs and showed me how to purchase and use the card. Painless experience.

  • Amanda Helwig

It was very clean and very nice. Cathy helped me and she was super helpful and not a problem she was more than helpful. If anyone has to go to a laundromat please go here bc it was hands down the best

  • Francesco Scordamaglia

Nice local lawndromat, staff is very helpfull. Allways somebody to meet who's some sort of local Joe or new ta town. Coffee near by and close to PCC. Right off an easy buss route, E line or the 62!!

  • Anna Meneses

This place is great because of Cathy. She's the best! Super friendly, warm, helpful... great place to get your laundry done. You can also drop off and they'll take care of it for you. #SoCool!

  • Carley Callahan

So helpful! I went here for the first time due to the coin shortage throwing a wrench in my apartment washer plans. The attendant was friendly and helpful. I will definitely return here again.

  • Mindy Inman

The reason for my 5 star rating is because of Cathy. She always has a great attitude and a smile on her face. Seriously, she makes doing my laundry enjoyable. Thanks for being you Cathy!!!

  • Manilyn Lee

I love this Place. I do my laundry there once in a while. I love how clean it is and it's very easy to use. Cathy is very helpful and very nice. Would definitely recommend it to everyone!
