I was shocked to read so many of the negative reviews on this branch. I had to ask myself if this is the same shop that I have been shopping at for years, as we have never had any negative transactions with them before. I think it’s just that people who are unhappy with a service are more likely to make it known than those who are happy. I feel that more satisfied customers should also review a shop and make it known that they are happy. A store is not just bad all of the time. I can only review what I have experienced and although I feel sorry for those who were wronged, I simply cannot say the same about Game Canalwalk. In my experience the staff has always been prepared to help us, when help was needed. They have always greeted us with a smile. The shop itself is not always neat and tidy but this should be expected with customers examining items and not putting it back neatly or sometimes even putting it back in the wrong place. I’m sure anyone can relate who has young kids at home or a husband who is untidy. It’s a full time job keeping a house tidy. Now picture a massive shop as Game with hundreds of customers a day. Nearly impossible but I’m sure they try their best to do so. Another thing that I love about this Game is their location in the mall. It’s an an entrance/exit, so you could make your purchases and go put your bags in your car before continuing with your visit to the mall. There is also a stand right outside Game where you can buy refreshments such as muffins, coffee, hot chocolate etc. the perfect way to start a shopping spree

Good day, Went to Game Canal walk at 10:10am 16 Dec 2023 to purchase a Mathematics Oxford set-having looked at the stationary asile with no luck I approach a staff member(Zandile) on the floor to whom I asked for her help-her answer to me was the person working on that asile will only be starting at 1pm-then I requested for the floor manager to assist-she went and came back and said the manager she’s busy and will come once she’s done(managers name Steffi) if am not wrong. I went to the front of the store and a gentleman by the name Ridhaa assisted me fully with my query. Thank you Ridhaa for your gentle assistance and getting the product for me time-sly-we are truly in need more of you in the retail stores. Thank you Mr. Ridhaa

I had a poor experience with this company and its stores. Reaching them through multiple calls is a hassle, and customer support lacks responsiveness. Both staff and management seem indifferent to customer concerns. Issues with the request department persist; even when connected, no one is available to take your call. The receptionist appears unresponsive, and continuous ringing during calls incurs additional costs without resolution. Overall, the experience reflects a lack of efficiency and consideration for customers. There are no after-services when you have a problem with purchased items. Dealing with Game stores has been a nightmare experience.

I had the worst experience at game canal walk cape town as a black female. All the 3 members of the stuff disregarded what I was asking them and they all went to assist 1 family. While I stood there and waiting for some attention. I even approached a man whom I was told was the manager and he told me that he was busy with another, which I understood and waited for him as well but I received no help until they were done with the family. Wow we waited and waited but because we wanted the TV. We had no choice

I bought a fridge on the 23rd of December. Was promised delivery the next day. I'm still waiting almost 3 weeks later. Game Canal Walk is giving me the run around. Wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. Spoke to Denzel and Quinton, they both promised to call me back but it's been weeks since Denzel honourd his commitment to calling me.and its been two days waiting for Quinton to call back after he promised to call me after an hour. Game Canal Walk aren't picking up their phone.

Thoroughly average store. They have a wide range of products but the staff are not interested. Spent 10 minutes in the appliance section and nobody bothered to assist. Generally cheaper goods available than other stores but unfortunately the products match the service. Overall the general fact that they offer such a wide range from groceries to sporting goods,garden and appliances will probably keep me coming back. Lots of staff who look like they would rather be somewhere else.

This used to be a 5 stars shop, but there is no service. I struggled to find a person to show me where the batteries are in their new mess, struggled to get someone to unlock flash drives, and the teller just put my change there, looking the other way. Can you believe I was the one who even greeted her? Still, I get an attitude for no reason. Garage sales are better organized than this place. The owner should be ashamed of himself!

Worst Game Store in Western Cape. Received attitude from the cashier which resulted in duplicate billing. After pointing out the error, they "processed" a refund on my credit card which was never received. Pricing on display not matching pricing at till. Very frustrating...

Money market staff not even working. All other staff around saw me and started laughing but no one tried to assist me. One of the security ladies told one of the staff to assist me (in Xhosa) and he tols her to Suka he wont.
