Horrible gas station. There are two cashiers/managers there that are excellent. The rest (and there’s usually about 6-8 working) will sit and talk and if you try to check out they will ignore you til one of the poor people they probably make all the work do does it. They have been cash only last week plus and have no signs up so it’s chaos- as well as prices/cups are wrong and they belittle you for their poor management and customer service, things that are their fault. I would not go here if you’d like to not feel like you’ve been spit on for the rest of the day. I was also told (after going here for two years) that the cups for peanuts were not the styrofoam cups that have always been used and the prices are directed towards.. but were the coffee cups they put up. Not a big deal, at all. But I said “these are clearly coffee cups” response “no they’re not”. So I said well I don’t want to throw away this food and throw away a cup, can I just pay for the amount that’s in them that’s listed on the wall. “No”. If I hadn’t been talked to like I was trash I wouldn’t be so annoyed by this. Also- apparently a cup with beans saying “caution hot” with a cup of coffee on it is not a coffee cup. If they are so short on supplies etc having me waste a perfectly fine cup and food is wrong and wrong in general.

Do not go to this gas station the customer service is on the very bottom. Especially the manager was very rude I hope he really get fired cuz that's not how you work with your customers the story is I bought the ice cream I didn't know I was not not allowed to put the toppings after I about it I was not planning on doing that I was just in a hurry and forgot to put them. The manager saw me walking out with the ice cream and told me I have to pay for it which I told that I did. But once he explain to me that I'm not allowed to put the toppings after I buy it I told him my bad that I didn't know there was no sign or anything he told me stop bullshiting me and get the f*** out of my store and never come back I offered to pay for the full price for the ice cream with the toppings again twice because I don't like making a scene but he told me to go f*** myself and never come back to his gas station. His gas station what does he mean he doesn't own it he actually thinks that he is sombodey. and by the way they made me leave the ice cream and didn't give me any refund I didn't bother even asking.

The customer service is beyond ridiculous. I prepaid for gas and when it wouldn’t work I was treated like I was stupid. The woman was talking to me as if I was supposed to know they were out of gas after the girl charged me for it. She kept saying if I didn’t pump the gas it wouldn’t charge me and I told her I prepaid. She kept saying it over and over again and arguing with me instead of explaining in a logical way. Then she says we are out of gas but I am watching multiple vehicles pump gas around me 20 minutes after. I feel like I was treated poorly and they should have just said something from the start instead of letting me pay. They wouldn’t answer the call button so I had no choice except to walk back inside. Get some gas or atleast tell people before they pay. Plus treat people the way you want to be treated. If you have poor communication then don’t take it out on your customers. Won’t come back.

Went in to buy a beer in the nicer part of town from Jim the supervisor/manager. Tried to purchase a beer w a 100 $ bill. Without looking checking or even trying he told me he couldn't give me change and to go buy my beer somewhere else. I could understand if it was a regular employee but as a mgr/sup it's ur job to make sure there's change. U should also know at that point who ur regulars are. Further you should have the education to know that 1 regular =5 customers. Won't be back. Like I said could understand if it was an employee but not a mgr. Why drive to the nicer gas station in the nicer part of town when I can receive similar terrible service in the ghetto, especially from a mgr/sup?

I attempted to purchase a lemonade because I had been driving for 3 hours and I could feel my blood sugar getting low. I also needed to vacuum the rental I had used. The cashier "Buck" informs me both of the vacuums are broken. I told him I still need the change I'll go somewhere else and get it done. Then he says they have no change. I'm looking at him because there's 3 registers open and its crowded. I only needed two dollars in quarters. I still need the drink. He refused to make the sale so as not to give me any change. I've been coming to this location and the one on Stockton for the last ten years when I moved into the area. Gate won't get another thin dime from me.

Great Gas, Great Touch Car Wash! Gate gas has been reliable for me, I have never had engine issues with Gate. Transactions are safe with Tap, as no one can skim my card. If you do not care if car wash has neoprene spinner sponges that touch your car, it is fantastic. IMHO, all automatic touch washes will cause paint swirling, but Neoprene is better than old school hard plastic spinners (rough on paint) or cloth/strap (dirt from previous cars stay on them). I hardly ever go in to the store, but when I do, the staff are great, and it is clean.

The employees at this store seem like they work for a tyrant because they are never friendly or social. There's one or two friendly faces working the register, but customer service is night and day compared to the Emerson store. I, personally, have been followed by one employee filming me with her phone while I exited out of the store. I have never given her a reason to do that. I'm forced to shop at this location because it's my neighborhood store, but I don't recommend it for anyone else unless it's an emergency .

Very rude and disrespectful employees! The cashier that helped me was chatting with someone while helping customers and because of this he put my gas on the wrong pump. The other cashier then was extremely loud and disrespectful to my wife because of their mistake. She acted like it was our fault they put the gas on the wrong pump. Learn to do your job correctly, its not rocket science working at a gas station. If the gentleman had not been distracted by his friend this likely would not have happened.

This is a very busy store with not very much parking. The manager May a female is very polite and friendly. I love talking to her as I have for many years. She always goes above and beyond to help the customers. This place can be a madhouse though early in the morning and during rush hour. There's another lady named Edna who works there and she's very nice and friendly and will always help you and she always makes sure that I got fresh coffee when I come in.

I think this business needs to prayed over and for on a continuous basis? It's employees are constantly having to clean up behind people who aren't aware of the dangers with personal bodily fluids during restroom visits! I think Jacksonville Florida is one of the only Conservative led City's that support or encourage the LGBTQ community, or at least I hope it is? Jesus. Jesus. Jesus. Help us all?

Whew. The gas pump handle kept stopping. And the clerk tried to upsell a megaplier and had to redo it since I didn't hear what he asked. Never upsell lottery tickets! Then the worse part is they only take cash for lotto (no receipt given). Debit is the same as cash. Last, why would the clerk check my I.D when I can use the machine? I never had a clerk check ID for a lottery purchase.

Gate Gas Station is my personal preference when I am purchasing gas or making a convenient stop for snacks. This place offers many gas station amenities and more. All grades of fuel is available, even desiel. Public restrooms are usually clean. Inside the station offers a coffee station and hot food. Checking out is about average time due to the high traffic at this location.

This gas station is so nice! I really like coming here, not to just get gas, but coffee, snacks or some of the hot food they may have. With clean unisex restrooms and nice environment, this establishment makes for a great one stop shop, just be sure that when you bring your kids keep them close because their little eyes will tell the little hands to pick up everything.

New station that was definitely needed in Riverside. Many gas pumps and a large Gate store. This is a busy traffic corner and you cannot enter from Forrest St. You must enter the Gate station from Park St. You can turn right into the station if you are heading south. If you are heading north you need to enter the station by turning left at the light BEFORE Park St

Gate stations are always clean and easy to get in and out of but I strongly dislike their practice of placing "overcharges" or "holds" on your card at the pumps. The additional amount usually drops off within 24 hours but I dislike the principle involved. Most consumers are not aware of the practice and Gate is not the only gas station that places the hold.

I caught my toe on this firelog thing. The attendant was more concerned with me "filing a report" than getting me a band aid. He eventually got me a bandaid. And wanted to know if I wanted to file a report. I'm like no. Just maybe move that so it doesn't happen to anyone else. Well it's been a week and it's still there. I'm missing part of my toe nail.

Oh yeah! This gas station was one of the most nicest gas stations I ever use. Everything in the inside of the shopping area was really nice and neat. All the items were very organized and located exactly were they need to be. I walked in the restroom it was clean, soap, toilet paper and paper towel were feel. Trash cans were empty. Good job guys!

Female Cashier that has a very loud voice that carries, was more interested in talking to other associates about her boy friend and there problems from the street than allowing other associates or herself from running a register. Foul mouth carries all the way to the back side of the store where the drinks are is not a good look!

Any gate gas station: zero acknowledgment from staff as a customer. No communication during check-out, no „thank you“ after transaction is done. I usually just leave assuming we are done. Very noncompetitive with regards to customer service in today‘s environment. Train your people at least a little bit in customer service.

Wow what a gasoline station. This is the answer to all your quick needs. Here is all that i found under the roof Gate. Cold, hot hot drinks, cold, hot sandwiches, frozen yogurt, frozen drinks, snacks, candy,doughnuts, and a car wash. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Great job everyone

Really nice store, everything is brand new. I love that they have several choices of frozen yogurt and a great selection of lunch items. A car wash at a gas station is rare in this part of town, so that is a great addition to the area. The employees I have met so far are friendly and helpful.

One of my FAVORITE gate gas stations besides the location by the AirPort by City Station Drive. The store is clean (including the restrooms) and the staff quickly knock out their lines. The only complaint is they forget to offer people their receipts. But otherwise I love this place

I like these gas stations . They have plenty of pumps that are spaced apart making it easy to get around to get gas . It also has a great convenience store that has what I need with good service from the employees .

Gates gas stations seem to be everywhere they seem to always be clean very friendly behind the counter I usually stop in and feel up and give me a drink and sometimes a cabbage rolls which are delicious

They have frozen yogurt and even different hot foods along with cold sandwiches and such. Mango icee is my favorite for sure. It is just too good. Very clean though. Just prices are out there.

I had a question and the manager behind the counter was extremely rude and acted as if I was speaking a foreign language. Another cashier rang me up and was delightful.

Paid for gas and never pumped. Called two days later and the Manager Brandy instantly resolved the issue. Very impressed! The facility is always clean and well stocked.

Gasoline is way over priced. $4.09 per gallon for 87 regular unleaded If you have a Sam's club membership it was $3.86 a gallon for 93 premium
