Georgetown Park is a nice reprieve from the chaos of M St' shopping, restaurants, and crazies. There are a lot of benches grass, and steps to sit and relax on. The view of the water is great and you can watch kayakers and boats float by on the weekends. Also, the view of the Watergate Hotel and the Kennedy Center with the Washington Monument behind it is breathtaking. This park is close to some hidden gem restaurants in Georgetown and is a delight to visit. Unlike the National Mall, this park is much calmer. There aren't as many tourists wanering around and standing in the middle of the walkway and there aren't as many street peddlers either. It's close to a movie theater and an ice cream shop in case it gets too hot outside. It's also near the ferry to Old Town Alexandria and National Harbor, Maryland and is a fun way to view south DC. This is my go-to park for when I want to relax and not be bothered by a million people.
The smaller sized stores at street level along the M in Georgetown are still open and thriving. I appreciate the effort to blend modern shopping while retaining at least the façade if not the entire building of historic architecture. However, the narrow, brick-lined sidewalks encourage congestion and you are cautioned to wear comfortable shoes: a lot of the bricks are in disrepair and do not lend to fashion shopping in heels.
This is a pretty great area for a an afternoon stroll. It is a bit crowded but the shops and restaurants in the area are pretty great. We were able to park a little farther with a metered parking. The parking garages are way too expensive and most of them charge like $22 or something if you go over even a minute of an hour. but there are metered parking and also small parking lots here and there.
I was working on a renovation in northwest DC. If you know the area you know that grabbing home Remodeling supplies is no easy task. I needed a shower rod to finish a bathroom and TJ Maxx had exactly what I needed. It was even on clearance for $12. I even parked illegally and was in and out of the store before getting a ticket. it doesn't get much better than this folks.
Ok so the only reason I go here is the dmv. So while i am hesitant to let the secret out of the bag but this is the best dmv in the city. Check the web cams to check the wait but its consistently shorter than the other dmvs. Park in the neighborhoods a block or two north of M street and enter the dmv next to dean & delcua..at the dsw shoe store entrance.
This is the best management company I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I've lived at their Rosslyn location for three years because the management goes out of their way to respond promptly to my needs. Matthew, Stephanie, Jennifer, Hugo, and Jose have made my life so much better! I cannot recommend them more highly.
TJ Maxx the worst cutomer service experience. Went upstairs to purchase and return some items. Was told return transactions had to be conducted downstairs. After waiting in a long line,. I was told I couldn't the return items due to some insane reasons. I need to call customer service for assistance.
Easy access to streets once exiting garage. The garage is old and spaces are very tight and some spaces should be closed to make turns easier instead of having to back up to get around a corner..annoying. Prices are good we parked for 3 hrs and it cost $22 not bad for this part of town.
This place used to be a thriving mall. Most of it was turned into luxury housing. The parking is VERY expensive even though I went to dinner at a tenant in the mall. I would think it would have been heavily discounted or even free. Just not the place it used to be. Sad.
The light show or "Glow"as it's called was absolutely amazing I really really was elated see that some of the attractions were still on even after the closing time had passed. For the second year in a row the artist did not disappoint at all. …
A very beautiful unique setting and design. I really like the brass accents throughout. Not as crowded as I would expect but a fun walk through with the impressive atrium that seems bigger on the inside than from out. Too bad its closed now.
Shocking and a bit disorienting to discover that most of this large indoor shopping mall is no longer. Any descriptions and photos you see here showing a large indoor mall are from before the "renovation." The lower levels of the mall were
For what I had to do was visit the DMV. I was in and out. Don't forget to schedule your appointment for the DMV, things went so smoothly I wonder if they will try to keep this way after everything has settled down and back to normal.
Always fun. Dean and Deluca is a favorite . A gourmet market that has been around for years. Georgetown Park has so many shops, stores , restaurants, boutiques, galleries and bars to frequent. Day and night it is a good time.
It's changed a bunch since the renovation. Most of the stores that were inside have been removed and the stores in the outside edge have assumed larger spaces going into the center of the building. Overall it's quite nice.
This is a nice area with a decent amount of interesting shop/restaraunts around to explore. It is a nice area to spend a night out or just kill time exploring. My two favorite places here are kintaro and Dean & Deluca
The parking is good but relatively expensive and the roads inside are very narrow. On the other hand you park right in the middle of Georgtown with exits to the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal and all the streets around.
If you are expecting to find the stores that used to be there a few years back, don't bother. There is nothing like I was before. Just a white elephant. A few stores like H&M and Tjmax are located right outside.
The beautiful indoor mall you see in some of the old reviews here doesn't exist anymore. It seems they gutted it and turned it into a parking garage. Such a shame. Lovely outdoor shopping area outside, though.
Very nice place to shop at discounted prices and for the latest of fashion. There is quite a number of branded stores there. Unfortunately, I could not visit all of them. But I will definitely go back there.
This is a beautiful.park. It is well maintained and heavily used. You have nice views of Rosslyn and the key bridge. There are so many trees with lots of shade. The seating is also great for people watching.
This is not the indoor mall I knew from the past. You can park underneath--$12 (flat fee!) for the quarter hour I was there. But shops can be accessed from outside which is good during the time of COVID-19.
Georgetown is pure eye candy. This is such a unique city in America. From the peaceful walking areas to the stores and restaurants. Everything is done with taste and elegance. Cheers to you Georgetown!
Georgetown it's a lively and fun place to go. My favorite area in Washington. This was inside Clyde's restaurant and bar. What a great place to go. Thanks for the excellent service and food.
The height of the roof in the in the garage is low. Be aware how to go out cuz the signpost for the exit are not clear. The organization by colors and numbers made easy to find your car.
One of the iconic parts of Georgetown, this is a must for any tourist who wants to see picturesque parts of the city. It's also a choice destination for food and shopping nearby.
Fun! Place to spend an afternoon, right next to the canal in Georgetown. Of course, things in Georgetown tend to be pricey, so keep an eye on what you're spending and have fun!
Had a wonderful time with my Family, did a little shopping and site seeing, just enjoyed the time there, it was a BEAUTIFUL day, would definitely do it again.
Where else can you get new shoes and your dmv work done in the same place. Building is always clean and the parking lot is easy to get to (but not cheap.)
Always a pleasant experience. Upscale and safe. A bit pricy. Parking is always a challenge. Best to park underground. Very expensive Parking rates.
Nice view. Walking self tour. Lots of history on the architecture. Many choice to eat or drink. Looking for something we found the Exorcist stairs.
If you go here on Sunday, go early to get a parking space on the streets (cheaper) or leave you car at home; or pay for the $12 parking spaces.
Great use of an old space, really a collection of buildings. And it fits in! I like the light display, Christmas without being too, ordinary.
You will love the waterfront and enjoy the various exquisite restaurant. Its a fun place to visit with the family on a Sunday afternoon.
Well maintained, quite park along the Potomac. Great views on the Theodore Roosevelt Island and the Francis Scott Key Memorial Bridge.
So much fun! They have great stores, although they are a little pricey. Dean and duluca has great food and the cupcakery is amazing!
Stayed at The Ritz, and Georgetown Park is uber convenient. If Pinstripes is open and you visit, tell them the Marines sent you.
Beautiful public space to walk along the river, sit in the grass, feed some ducklings and relax after a busy day in Georgetown.
We only went to Clyde's and it was amazing. Look at that cauliflower. That cauliflower would make any one like cauliflower.
Great place to people watch and shop and grab a bite to eat! All for a good price and good quality of food and garments!
It was a ghost town by the time I visited. Hope things get better soon. The area is really nice and worth visiting.
I loved their underground parking. I was able to usher my elderly mother in and out safely, without incident.
A place to relax in between noisy towns. Revive yourself here so that you can enjoy more out of the place.
Nice small park. It's been under construction for long time, but they're open nice part of it for walk.
All of Georgetown is beautiful. I can't get enough of it. It is like small part of Europe in the US.
This place is special to me. A life-changing and joyful event happened here almost a year ago.
Convenient and clean. Should have a better walkway for people to get down to their car.
Its a small area not alot of brand name stores theres a J Crew and an H &M home store
Very busy for cherry blossom festival but besutiful and worth the trip
Nice shops, great food options
One of my go to place
