This review also exists on Yelp. -------------------------------------------------------- I called Fidelity Locksmith because their website said they were local to Monrovia Ca, had a 15 minutes response time, and they were licensed and insured. I called around 5:52 at night on Monday 9/14/2015. I end up getting sent Get Pro Locksmith. Fidelity told me it would take 30 minutes to get there and that it would be about $29, plus a service fee that they indicated was no big deal. (calling back later indicated a starting service fee of $35). I got a call from a locksmith a half hour later indicating he would be there in another 20-25 minutes. The locksmith didn't arrive at my house until nearly 7:10 pm. A full hour+ of waiting and he came from SUN VALLEY. After looking at my lock, he told me it would be $179 because of the cylinder type and this was WITH A DISCOUNT for being late. He spent 20 minutes trying my front door, and my sliding glass door, with a pickgun for nearly 20 minutes. He told me my front door would be easier to pick than my sliding door. Then, he tells me he will have to drill my front door, which he does. I discover at the end of this exchange that he actually works for Get Pro Locksmith and NOT Fidelity. I leave a review on yelp for Get Pro Locksmith indicating I am not happy about the price, and get a call immediately from the "owner" telling me that the prices are Fidelitys. I call back the Fidelity service the next day and I am told that I was charged a fair price for the level of difficulty of my cylinder even with the discount. And I am told, that even though Get Pro provided the services that they work for Fidelity. After talking with a number of other locksmith services I am told that a 1" Mortise Cylinder (MY CYLINDER) is standard hardware, not hard to pick, that they should never have needed a pickgun, it definitely should not have required drilling and AT MOST it should have been $80.00. Thoroughly angry at this point, I call Fidelity back to give them a chance to make things right. I mistakenly thought they didn't know what kind of cylinder it really was and that they would make it right. I inform them of the cylinder type, I tell them about the opinions I have gotten, and the quote for $80 AT MOST, and they try to tell me the fees are Get Pro Locksmith responsibility. I told them I had the same story from Get Pro, and that if Get Pro really worked for them they should be able to work it out. They denied I was overcharged, and denied they had any accountability for what I was charged. *If I call a company, they shouldn't be sending me someone else that actually works for a different company, that is ANOTHER 30 minutes away, without telling me. *They shouldn't take an hour+ to get to my house when their website says 15 minutes *There is no way a standard 1" Mortise Cylinder, that is easy to pick, should have cost MORE THAN the basic $29 + $35 dollar fee that was their base price. That is $179 vs $65 a total of a $114 dollar difference. I feel I was taken advantage of because I was a woman, alone, trying to get into her house late at night. Crappy crappy crappy of any business of individual. I have submitted a complaint to the Better Business Bureau regarding Fidelity, the BBB doesn't have any record at all of Get Pro. Get Pro Locksmith - even if you are not responsible for these charges, like you told me, shame on you for working with these thieves. I don't care whether it's Fidelity or Get Pro, but I want a $100 refund.

WOW! The best service call I have ever received. On time, polite, intelligent, skilled and reasonable cost. Sean is the owner, I believe, he does the work, is very professional. My problem was a lock that was non operable. He successfully repaired it but told me he was uncertain that it would operate properly after a number of uses due to its age (about 50 years old). I asked him if it could be replaced. The lock was mounted onto a metal sliding door. I did not want to replace the metal sliding door. He said let me work on it. He called me back in two days and said that the original lock was no longer made. He said that he found another lock that he thought would work. He offered to install it free and confirm it would work. I reimbursed him for the lock when he ordered it (he never cashed my check until after the job was completed). The lock is installed and works great. Oh, he made me some spare keys (two came with the lock) free of charge. he said, incase I lost them I might as well have a couple of extra. He said call me if you have any other problems. Not only will I call but I am telling my friends that this is a rare find, someone who does MORE than expected. One last thing, sure I am complimentary about Sean, he deserves it. Guess what, his wife works for the company and does support and scheduling. She is his mirror image...the nicest people and they just care about making customers happy.

Everyone knows dealing with a locksmith company is always tricky, after talking to 2 companies telling me that the locksmith technician can only give me an estimate on site , they charge you just for the tech to come out $30!!! Before services and can charge me up to $200 . I found Get Pro Locksmith who gave me a fair price after I explained the service I needed, considering the hour It was 11:30 pm after a 2 hour walk with my baby and pup when I realized I forgot my keys at home. He arrived in less then 10 min’ with his son helping me with the baby’s stroller getting to my apartment door just to find out that I left my keys in the door immediately I offered to pay for him to come out at this hour but he Insisted not to take ANYTHING saying he is happy and relieved for me to find my keys. I was looking around to do duplicate key for my Lexus IS300. I bought shell blade key blank on eBay. I called few places some of them closed some didn’t make duplicates as a service. I found Get Pro Locksmith on Google map Apps they were only 2 min away from my place. The guy over the phone said come in we can duplicate it for u. The overall experience was great they was nice, friendly and professional expert. They offered me a coffee and water. They are multilingual. Waiting area was great with two soft chairs. An engineer person worked around 35-40 min under my old key and finally did great new duplicate key that fit my Lexus perfectly. At the end the price was surprised me. It was the best deal ever. I wish to leave tip for him but they don’t have that option. Highly recommend!

Last night I had the misfortune of locking my keys in my car. I called a few different places and all I was met with were nasty attitudes and it felt like all they wanted was to "hide" the price until they could get someone out to me. I scrolled down a bit away from the ads and found get pro locksmith. Within about 20 minutes I had a locksmith out to me who was upbeat and positive and spoke perfect english. He rescued me in my time of need and did it all with a smile and at a reasonable price. I needed an aftermarket remote fob for my 2011 VW programmed and the key cut. I went to the storefront on Tampa Ave. in Tarzana and Sean quickly attended to the project, roadside. The service was friendly and quick. He told me exactly what to expect and he was successful in the project, which others had told me “might not work” with my aftermarket fob. This is hands down the most cost effective and easy way to get a replacement for an original key. I called 9 shops in the valley to get quotes and these guys not only beat all the quotes by $60, but they also came to me and did the work in my garage, so I didnt have to tow my car. When they technician got her, he opened my car and helped me look for the key to try and save me money. I honestly couldn't believe how amazing and fast the service was. Called at 1 PM and had my car on by 2 PM. I will recommend this service to anyone and everyone that has the same problem.

I got locked out of my car yesterday and had to be at work by 4. Long story short Sean is amazing he took the time to help me out. He gave me a spare key for my car (that i did not have) and also another spare for if i were to ever just get locked out and only need to get in the door to get to my keys that are inside the car. While i waited for the service i got offered coffee and delicious tofu cheese cake (was amazing) everyone is super nice here and makes you feel comfortable. I paid $350 for stuck mailbox- key mechanism. Key would not open box. Key mechanism replaced but Box would not stay closed. I Asked for him to return snd put a longer latch on so box would lock securely. He refused. He said some one else ( like who) tampered with it . - I guess he believes in fairies. i texted and said the referral source just dried up because of this. He responded with hate mail. Find somebody else to do your locksmith work. Unprofessional work and , responds with hate mail to complaints. Plenty of other locksmiths

I needed to fix my store's Backdoor, I was so glad having Sean here. I texted him and show him the picture of how the lock was clogged and couldn't be used, so he explain it to me clearly how he's going to fix it and give me the estimated price. He came really quickly and having all professional tools with him. He spent a short time fixing it plus show me everything I need to know so I can keep the lock last longer. The good was the guy replaced a tiny battery in the car remote and only charged the price of the battery. The bad was, like many techie types, he answered questions about other services with vague and indirect answers. Computer guys used to do the same thing before computers became more commonplace than wristwatches. Anyhow, the locksmith voodoo aside, the work was quick and priced Right. - one for the dreadful parking which is the norm for the area but still worth mentioning.
