I LOVE the facilities and most of the staff. Unfortunately, Britt’s management leaves much to be desired. Rude, talks poorly about other staff, and yelled at me after I got burned using the hydration station. When I complained to corporate they refunded my membership for the last month. Honestly, I was just looking for assurances Britt would act professionally moving forward. I’ll miss the facilities, but I certainly won’t miss her attitude. If you’re looking for an all inclusive membership option i recommend going to Malibu Tan! I’ll rejoin if they bring back Eddie or get a new store manager that isn’t so moody and rude. Customer Service is key for people willing to spend $100/month. Check out the two pictures I attached to their google maps location—one is the initial burn I received on Nov 25th the second is the resulting scar a month later on Dec 24th. Instead of an explanation, a simple “I’m so sorry that happen”, etc I got chewed out. Too bad. I loved the facilities and a little customer service would have gone A LONG way.

Based on my experience, I don’t understand why this place has so many good comments. Most of the staff has been friendly but the manager is very unhelpful. I have been trying to cancel my membership following the minimum 3 month period and every time there is a new requirement that requires me to pay for something more. I have left messages with the other staff, called with no answer, and followed up in person couple times. When I called the last time to ask and understand why I had to pay more, he said he couldn’t “deal with this right now” and hung up on me. He was extremely unprofessional. One time I had to wait at the counter for 10 minutes because he had stepped out to go to another store. There wasn’t a notes or even an apology for keeping me waiting. It was immature. The place is clean and in a great location but not worth the terrible customer service. IMO, save your time and money and go someplace else.

The place itself is very nice, very clean, and very relaxing. Great facilities. This was my 1st time at a tanning salon in 6 years, and the front desk woman did NOT make me feel welcome. After asking her to explain the different tanning bed options, she just product puked the info and pricing options really fast, never smiled, and looked irritated when I asked her additional questions. Then I had hoped she would have shown me to my room and tell me what to expect (since I'm new), but she just told me a room # for me to wander and find it myself. That whole experience made me not want to come back. I'm in client relations myself for oil & gas, and I expect a little more friendliness and accommodation. Time of arrival: June 20th around 1:10pm.

The GENTLEMAN at the front desk was absolutely amazing. I cap gentleman because he deserves an emphasis. I moved to Houston two weeks ago. I’ve tried three different spray tan places. Yes. Three places. Every place has promised me that they are the best with the best formula, and it’s all been an exaggeration— hence I’ve gone to multiple places since moving here. First, I was greeted and helped to the T. Second, I was promoted to the best tanning solution for my skin tone. Next, I went for my spray. I was nervous because I’ve only ever gotten clear, but right away it has been a fantastic spray and even glow. Extremely natural. 100% recommend, and kudos to the receptionist. I love Glo, I have been going here numerous times a week for years. The only thing I would say is that the SW FWY location has much better customer service than the Waugh Dr location. Every time I show up after 9pm the gentleman who works nights there is always closed early with the door locked and some excuse as to why he is closed before 10. I can understand having to be there by 9:30 or 9:45 so he can close on time but an hour early is frustrating. It has happened more than a handful of times. So ir you want to go after 9pm. Don’t even bother. It’s a waste of your time. Just wait till the next day and go to the SW location.

So far, the staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful. The facility seems to be very clean, well-maintained and managed, and it seems like they are replacing bulbs with new ones timely. I’m especially fond of the red light facial, which I do to treat my rosacea/dermatitis. The results are great, The chair/experience are very relaxing, and at $80 a month for my membership, that is significantly cheaper than what I was spending on medications or for photon treatments at the dermatologist. (If you’re seeking a way to manage any medical condition, I highly encourage you to work with your medical provider). 5 Stars!

I got a steal of a deal on Groupon for a year of tanning at Glo Sun Spa! For a mere $25 for a year of tanning I honestly didn't know what to expect considering I've been out of the tanning "game" for years. Brittany at Glo Sun Spa - River Oaks went out of her way to make me feel welcome from the moment I walked through the door. She was able to address all my questions and even set me up with a month of luxury bed upgrades. The spa is clean and utilizes only the newest tanning technology available. No wait time and knowledgeable and friendly staff was a bonus. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this location. I originally signed up in Katy because I received a free year of level 1's when I signed up with my gym. I loved the Katy location so much that I decided to get an upgraded membership. I come to this location on my lunch break when I work because it is more convenient. I have been here twice and the service/front desk is just so friendly. This location seems to be more high end than the location in Katy and the beds seem to be better as well. I still love the Katy location but this is by far where I prefer to go. I hope to check out the other locations in time as well.

You just can’t beat the perfected sunless tan results with their Pura sunless booth and my favorite sunless solution option; Norvell Amber Sun VENETIAN (Gluten Free, 100% Vegan, and Paraben Free). Reasonably priced for even coverage and a deep bronze with no resemblance to an orange- thank you! Eddie is extremely knowledgeable on products and helpful on how to achieve optimal results with their services. I’m looking forward to traveling with my newly purchased facial bronze mist which can also be used for touch ups. The facial is also a must try for UV free spa.

First of all, WOW. Eddie, ONE OF A KIND. So sweet, incredible customer service. Highly knowledgeable about all the products and reccomendations on what would work best for me and my skin tone. Greets me so kindly and attentively everytime I am there. Does amazing juggling several customers at once. Has even provided me with sweet short pep talks at times. If I owned any kind of business I would snatch him up QUICK. Thank you ! Highly reccomend this salon. It gives my skin a natural sun kissed tan without looking overdone.

Let me start by saying I have tried quite a few places in Houston, and no one comes close to the experience I have had here so far! Glo Sun Spa is the best tanning salon in Houston in more ways than one. The price is amazing, it’s suuuuuper clean, I never have to wait, their selection is fantastic, the customer service is top notch, and everyone that I’ve spoken to that works here genuinely seems to care about your experience! As long as I am in Houston- I will never go anywhere else!

Today was my first time. The place has excellent ambience and wonderful customer service. Eddie knew great information about the beds and the products he was selling. As a new customer, I had questions and while there was a small line behind me, I didn't feel rushed and he made me feel very welcome. The room was very nice, spacious and inviting with some products in case you need a thing or two. A step up from Darque Tan for sure! Please bring Glo to Clearlake!!

This is the absolute worst Glo Sun Spa there is. Every single encounter I’ve had with employees have been a terrible experience. Incredibly rude and horrific customer service. Each employee tells a different lie about their “policy” every single time. Seems as if they don’t want to be in their work environment, or simply in a rush to just clock out. I love Glo Sun Spa but this one is by far the worst experience out of all.

Clean, friendly with the exception of one! But the manager Eddie, is very nice and helpful. He tried to make up for the way I was treated, by letting me know such attitude wouldn't be tolerated&asked me to let him know if there is any issues in the future! I was impressed and purchased more of their services(unfortunately due to the hurricane&flooding, I haven't been able to go back there yet!) Highly recommend it!

I must say I’ve been to a lot of tanning salons and this by far has been the best experience. I was greeted with open arms by a young woman named joya “ i hope that’s how you spell it” wonderful customer service amazing packages and deals very clean rooms and to top it off different spa equipment to use if you want something else besides the tanning. Overall experience was a 10/10

Eddie was super helpful when I called I have beeen a member at glo sun spa on and off for two years almost, but I always go to West U location however the front desk has been a little ignorant there but this location is always welcoming ! The worst experience. The place is very nice, BUT the girl in the front desk was so RUDE. It was my first time tanning. She explained me the process so fast, and she didn’t care if I understood or not. I can’t speak English very well, and she looked upset for that. She is a horrible person. I was there at 2:00 O’clock.

When I moved to Houston from another state, I found Glo Sun Spa via a Google search, tried them out and immediately joined. I usually go to River Oaks on Waugh. The salon is spotless! Rarely a wait. Membership price is affordable. Eddie is my favorite! They offer spa treatments, as well. Definitely check them out!!!

I like this salon because it is super clean and they have several different levels and types of beds. I gave 4 stars because it is a bit pricey. Purchasing big packages will give you the best value. I find the beds to be effective at each level and the staff seem to be knowledgeable about the services and beds.

I rejoined today GloSunspa today. Eddie and Rachel were amazing. I signed up for the luxury spa package and did the red light therapy today and loved it! Best tanning spa in town, cleanest and luxurious tanning beds, spa treatments are superb and the staff is great!! Glad to be back!! Kellye Etheredge

I've been going to this location for about a year and a half now. Definitely my favorite place to spray tan. It's always SUPER CLEAN. The front staff is always friendly. Brittany is awesome. She knows all the regulars' names, which is always a nice touch. Can't imagine going anywhere else!

The staff did not tell me to remove sun screen; thus I wearer sunscreen for the light therapy. I request to do it again since I wore thick layer of spf 50 sunscreen. The receptionist stated that I must purchase for it. Very bad customer service. Not recommend people to come.

Ive never had any issues at this place. Love coming here. Generally, the staff are very helpful however; today I dealt with some lady named Brittany who had a HUGE attitude. Like, you realize you work in costumer service...calm down your attitude. So incredibly rude!

What makes the River Oaks location stand above the rest is their incredible staff. The beautiful guy who works the front desk (I'm embarrassed to say I don't know his name)....is always professional... so inviting...informative....kind, and makes you feel welcomed.

Glo Sun Spa (River Oaks location) is by far the best tanning and day spa that I’ve been to in Houston! I am extremely pleased with all of the tanning/spa services I’ve tried, as well as how clean it is. The customer service is amazing and Eddie is the best!

The woman at the front desk is very rude, she does not make you feel welcome at all. She just provides the room number. She does not provide information about the different options..etc..she actually seems irritated if you ask for more details.
