Disappointing 2.5 stars. There were good and bad in this tour. Hope this is informative for anyone trying to find the right tour for them. Mike is overall lovely and accommodating. The tour definitely gives you the “local-led” feel. The cost is also one of the lowest offered for similar tours. As long as certain improvements are made, it is still a tour I would recommend. The reason I was disappointed was that it did not meet my expectation. We were a group of 7 adult family members who went for a Southern Highlands tour which consisted of half day touring and promised at least 2 wineries for tasting for second half of the day. 3 of the group members were there specifically just for the wine tasting. The first half of the day went well. We were joined by 4 other people on this tour. However, on arrival to the first winery, we were shocked to find that no bookings were made at any of the wineries. The manager at the first winery was kind enough to accommodate us but we had to sit outside. It was freezing cold the and other 4 people who came on the tour decided they could not stand the cold and went to visit a close by town instead. We had a poor experience with the tasting as the winery was not prepared for us and we were served very slowly. Everyone was really cold and we only did half the tasting. When we arrived at the second winery, we were turned away as we did not have any booking. However, Mike tried to play it off as if we were to blame as we stayed too long at the first winery and did not have time for the second. We were also shocked that we were expected to pay for our own tasting even though the tour was advertised as “all-inclusive” on the website. The cost of the tour was low and it was reflected in certain aspects. Morning tea was hot tea and coffee and Tim Tam biscuits brought by Mike. Lunch was at a Thai restaurant but we were only allowed to order from the Lunch special section. Drinks were not included. A normal lunch special costed $10.90 and if prawn was chosen as a protein, it costed $13.90. Although only one member of the group chose prawn and we ended up ordering 2 entrees costing $18. We paid for the entrée ourselves with no offer to offset them. Lastly, we were disappointing at how the wine tasting aspect of the tour was handled. No offer of compensation was given and apology was only somewhat offered after we have fed back to Mike about the importance of booking. We did not want to pursue any compensation as we understand it is difficult to run a small family-owned business. The tour is still lovely and worth it if Mike could just be clearer with his advertising and improve the professionalism of his business when it comes to winery tasting. Addit: Just to clarify, the paragraph about the low cost of the tour is not a criticism. I personally find it perfectly acceptable so as to lower the cost of tour. It is more just info for people in case they want something fancier. Don't know where to reply to Mike so adding this here. Thank you for your offer of compensation but it is OK. It was not so much the cost but the principle. I do want to thank you for an otherwise wonderful tour. Still would recommend for future.

Based upon his many excellent reviews, we booked Mike for a combination of Airport/Hotel transfer and 1/2-Day City Tour with lunch. We were absolutely satisfied with his service from our initial contact through the drop-off at our hotel. Our flight arrived early and he came right after we called. We enjoyed the narration and sights of the tour. We started with a nice tea and biscuits stop at Fort Denison that was just right after a red-eye flight. He is very thoughtful, attentive and flexible on what to see and he never complained about our many unplanned photo stops as well as a 'bottle shop' for us to purchase some pre-cruise Australian wine. Our choice for lunch was Harry's Cafe de Wheels in Woolloomooloo and a seat on the park bench as a nod to our first lunch in Sydney many years ago. Still a cool landmark and a tasty treat. A great guy and a excellent tour that we highly recommend.

Mike led us on a private tour of the beautiful Central Coast just north of Sydney, where the locals go on holiday! We started with some delicious morning tea (and Tim Tams of course), then went to the Australian Reptile Park - just a bit extra but definitely worth it petting a koala, feeding kangaroos, and seeing the deadly snakes and spiders. We saw many lookouts of the Central Coast beaches on our way to a delicious lunch at a club near the water. In the afternoon, we went to a chocolate and cheese factory and sampled some tasty treats, then we saw the hilarious daily pelican feeding. On the way home, we stopped at a waterfall and did an easy but beautiful short hike. Mike was very professional and knowledgeable, and we had a great time. We were actually the first people to do this Central Coast tour with Mike, and I think many more should see this cool area!

My husband and I spent our first full day in Sydney with Mike who took us on a private tour focused mostly on the Ku-ring-gai National Park. It was a great start to our 25th wedding anniversary trip, enjoying a beautiful, sunny day out in nature and learning more about the Aboriginal sites located within the park. On the way to and from the park, Mike stopped at various scenic vistas/beaches and told us more about the areas we were visiting. Easy and relaxing pace to the day and we even made a feathered friend at tea and lunch time. Prior to the tour, we interacted with Mike exclusively by email in which he was always prompt to respond. It was easy to customize the tour to focus on the items we were more interested. Top notch service! Highly recommend!

We were lucky enough to have Michael Bryant as our guide on the day we arrived from a 29-day cruise ending in Sydney. There are not enough words to say how fabulous this tour and Michael was...from the minute he picked us up at the port and took us to beautiful spot overlooking the Sydney harbor bridge and the opera house and offered us something to drink and Tim Tams (our first taste)!!. He drove us all around Sydney with all of it's neighborhoods and then took us to Bondi Beach, where we had a delicious lunch at a club there. Michael was so nice about everything we asked or requested...including an extra special stop for us to go to the supermarket. I would book Michael and this tour over and over again...it was our best tour in Sydney!

Absolutely fantastic tour to the Blue Mountains. Mike picked us up from our hotel and took us to the zoo first where we got to see and feed the kangaroos and all of the other Australian animals. It was a really fun zoo. Next up was overlooks of the mountains and canyons and a stop at the gorgeous Three Sisters. Mikes van was very clean and Mike was a great leader for the tour, making us feel welcome as valued guests. Mike even played some great music for us from great Australian bands after hearing us talk about our musical likes. This is and ABSOLUTE MUST TOUR when in Sydney. Mike will provide you with an absolutely memorable trip!

We had a gorgeous day for exploring the Northern Beaches and Ku Ring Gai Chase national park. Mike took us to some stunning spots, we saw incredible houses, and we had the opportunity to take beautiful pictures! Our tea in a park was shared with a couple of friendly brush turkeys! The bus was comfortable and we stopped at a fun little club for lunch, where they even had an aviary filled with native birds. Finally, we wanted to do a little shopping on the way home, so Mike dropped us off on the Corso in Manly so we could walk from there to the ferry. Overall, a really enjoyable day!

An "off the beaten track" tour which starts only a half hour drive from the Sydney CBD. From the first stunning view of the Harbour waterways, through the wonderful National Park and then onto so many glorious insights into the Northern Beaches coastline. The highlights were many. Our small group of five adults all had the same opinion, much better day experience than was possibly expected. One of the group was an ardent Home and Away fan and her day was even more memorable, captured in some great photos. Well done to our host/guide Michael. Carol Pease

This tour was booked as Blue Mountains: Private Tour/Featherdale Wildlife Park. Prior to booking I reached out to Mike via email. His response was timely; despite the time difference. Pick up/drop off at Sydney Cruise Port as we arranged this as a shore excursion. He tailored the tour to our abilities; all over 60 and mobile but not overly active. We liked that he was informative but not constantly narrating as you might find when on a larger tour. We had an interesting experience with some hikers from Denmark, but I will let him tell you about that.

We spent a day touring the Blue Mountains with Michael while in Sydney. It was a private tour, so we were able to customize the tour to our liking, and we had a wonderful time exploring the area. We went to some of the main attractions but managed to beat the crowds. Our guide was familiar with the best places to view the Three Sisters, and he took us to Leura NSW to shop for local foods and crafts - such a lovely town! We had a very nice time, recommend it to anyone who wants to get out of the city and appreciate the vastness of nature nearby.

What a fabulous day spent in Sydney with a GREAT guide. I booked this tour solo and was so glad that I did! I was able to see so many beaches and sites in Sydney that I would have missed. Mike picked me up from my hotel and the group spent the day seeing gorgeous beaches, eating a fantastic lunch and enjoying the lovely national park. I also loved riding the ferry back to circular quay as well as it was great to be on the water. Don't miss this opportunity to see some of Sydney's most beautiful beaches and lookout points with a private guide.

We had a great experience with Go Beyond Tours. Our tour guide Mike was very friendly and reliable, who took us on a private tour of Central Coast's beautiful scenery. We chatted along the way and had a very good time. On top of that, he even offered airport pick-up and drop-off services at discounted prices. Children can enjoy special offers for day tours too. Also, thanks to Mike, we got to buy discount tickets to stroke a koala and feed some kangaroos in Australian Reptile Park. Highly recommended!

I had the pleasure of doing the Northern Beaches tour with Go Beyond Tours, and it was an incredible time! Mike was insightful, personable, and just a wonderful person to show our group all around the national park and several beautiful beaches. He showed us hidden gems that we otherwise would have missed, and it was a welcome break from the more touristic and busy areas near Sydney. I highly recommend taking Mike's tour... it was one of our favorite experiences while visiting Australia!

We had a fantastic day out with our friendly guide Mike. The ride was clean and comfortable, Mike was knowledgeable about the areas we drove through, and the optional tours were simply great fun and with spectacular views. As I had an injured ankle, Mike kindly brought my 2 teenage boys for a 45min hike which saw them huffing and puffing along mountain edges. I had thought my boys were too old to enjoy the farm, but we had the best time there. It was a great day out.

Mike is very knowledgeable and personal. He picked us up from our hotel which was great since we are out in the suburbs from Sydney. We enjoyed seeing this breathtaking national park. The views at Ku-ring-gai National Park were incredible and not something you see everyday. Mike was knowledgable about the different plants and explained about the Aboriginal caves and rock carvings that we saw. This is a must-do when you are in Australia. Great tour!

We went on a bus tour with Michael, to the Northern Beaches and Ku-Rin-Gai NP. We had a great day! We would've never found these places if we had been on our own. Very beautiful and interesting area. Michael was very knowledgeable and pleasant and we can definitely recommend this tour. Included was a coffee break in the morning and a very good lunch and a trip back to Circular Quai by ship. Good memories of our trip to Australia!

My parents recently booked the Home and Away tour with Michael while they were in Sydney and loved the experience. Michael went out of his way to ensure that they got to see all the sights along the route and all the Home and Away sights and also made sure that they got on the correct ferry a the end of the trip. They thoroughly enjoyed the day and it was the highlight of their trip to Sydney.

Michael was one of the best tour guides we have encountered. His thorough knowledge of Sydney and his caring support for myself and my disabled husband made him #1 in our books. Fantastic tour! Mike was a great tour guide... very friendly, knowledgeable and a lot of fun. The itinerary was perfect for us, as we only had two days to be in Sydney and this served as a great overview of the city and region. We will definitely book with Mike again if we are lucky enough for a return trip in the future!

We went on the Southern Highlands tour and saw so much during the day, but not at a pace that left you exhausted. Mike is a brilliant host that goes out of his way to make sure that his guests get maximum enjoyment from their day. The highlight for us was the skywalk over the rainforest in Wollongong...

We met lovely koalas, kangaroos, and different species of reptiles at the Reptile Park. Our guide Mike took us to have a nice lunch, visited pelicans at The Entrance, milk factory for chocolate and cheese, and different lookouts with great views. A highly recommend trip!

MIke was our driver to the Hunter Valley for a day out with our work collegues last Sunday. He was very professional and got us everywhere we needed to go and back home safely. We will definately use Go Beyond Tours for our next group outing.
