Beautiful park. There are really amazing art installations. You aren't supposed to climb on them, but I constantly see bad parenting with parents on the phone and the kids climbing on everything. Because everyone wants photos, it's hard to find free time to take pics without other people in them. The park is nice and clean. It didn't seem to be overrun with homeless people, but it is overrun with stoners. That seems to be the thing to do, sit on the hill and smoke pot. Quite frankly, it's annoying. I want to enjoy the park without getting contact high.

Beautiful place to go for a walk and just enjoy a sunny day. This is located right next to the Guthrie theater and the Old Medal Flour Mill. During the summer this is a prime spot for viewing the 4th of July fireworks and also the aquatennial firework show later on in the month. If you do go to these fireworks shows make sure you bring a chair and get there at least an hour and a half early to get yourself a good spot. Also park on the street do not park in a parking garage or you are going to be stuck there for hours once it's over.

Great place! When we came here, they were having some kind of prom and we got to watch a very dramatic argument between a petulant teenage boy and his extremely irate mother. Bonus points, his date for prom was standing by awkwardly the entire time! I especially appreciated the giant red statue thing they had in the park, and more particularly how people had obviously vandalized a sign which presumably would have read "Do not climb!" Needless to say, people were totally climbing on it. 10 out of 10 would recommend this vibrant park.

A wonderful park in downtown Minneapolis. The views are just wonderful and the spiral path really provides a great opportunity for our kids to expend extra energy racing up along the path and then rolling down the hill. The sculptures are interesting focal points. On street parking can be a challenge but there are plenty of parking ramps in the area. There always seems to be a nice diversity of people here and the Guthrie is so accesible. Weekend farmers markets close by make it an even better visit.

Just an amazing place to chill hangout walk around look at things and relax great stop especially for me if I'm on a ride I'll pull off and just kind of chill out for a little bit get off the bike left engine cool down a little bit maybe and just look at the old ruins it's amazing and I'm glad they kept it the way it doesn't I'm glad they did what they did with it turned it into a park but I do miss the wooden bridge that was right in front of the ruins

  • Luke Thomas

Great iconic landmark right in the heart of the city. This is also a great display of how landscape architecture can influence the view of a place as well as how people view the surrounding places. It's a great place to walk through anytime of the year, but I highly recommend visiting the second and third weeks of October for fall colors, or late August to watch the Aquatennial firework show. Don't leave without walking to the top of the hill.

Very Good & Clean Park. We can see stone arch bridge view from here . It's having nice chairs to sit . Dogs can enjoy this park very nicely. I have done swing and hammock. One day, I made a picnic for myself . We can do a snow tube in winter if snow is more. It's very walkable to Guthrie Theater, Rivergate, Churchill apartments, and downtown Minneapolis as well. There are no public restrooms in this area.

This is our favorite park which is a block from our condo. It's so peaceful and always a vibrant amount of people jogging, walking their dogs or just hanging out in the park. It's nice too because they closed off one of the roads so less traffic runs through the neighborhood hood which gives you a sense of peace. It's a wonderful little nook in the city right next to Mills Creek Park and Stone Arch Bridge

  • Ruplekha Biswas

Good one just right in the center of the skyscrapers .. nicely located with some wonderful sculptures. We love the sign of the park. Easy go to the top and you can have some awesome view. The us bank stadium is easily address from here. It's just beside the stone arch bridge. You can start yours hiking or walking and cross the bridge. wonderful location of the park.

  • Brian Wene

Great walking paths circumnavigate this brilliant green space in downtown Minneapolis. If you're interested in exploring this great city then Gold Medal Park should be a stop. Plus it's right next to the most beautiful bridge in the world, the Stone Arch bridge. I suggest exploring in autumn because bald eagles are a common sight in this portion of the city. Enjoy!

  • JRob Zetelumen

We stopped here for the mound and were pleased to see some of the sculptures that we used to enjoy at the sculpture garden. The spiral mound leading to the top of the mound had the feel of processing to a sacred site, and the view from the top continued to support that feeling. We spent a bit of time, just sitting there, taking it in, and feeling present

  • Lounette Loubser

Meticulously cared for. Large hill with a nice lookout at the top where there is shaded seating. Theres a beautiful historic pavillion/steel gazibo and a strange red steel statue. The kids had fun running on the grass and climbing trees. Its a small park with good shade and toilets. Just a nice breather in the middle of the city

  • Hallie Osmon

One of my favorite sunset spots. Fun hill to walk up and a view of the Gold Medal Flour sign as well as the Stone Arch Bridge! Good hammock trees. Parking has never been a problem for me personally, but make sure you pay! I’ve gotten tickets here. 4 stars instead of 5 because like any park, sometimes people are weird.

  • Matt P

Creative but functionally of an actual park is lacking... cool to look at but going down and up traffic is tight on some walk paths. The ambience is nice at night with the blue lights is pretty neat, but definitely a trendy place over functionality. All in all cool area to hang out.

  • Andrew Sean

A spiral park in downtown Minneapolis with close proximity to the art center, food and ice cream, Mill City, and Washington Ave. There are many events over the summer, from film screenings to bike rides. A nice little urban oasis to visit if you have some time to kill.

  • Keith Pearcy

Went there with my girl last night on some e bikes we rented from in front of the Hilton. This park is absolutely gorgeous just after sunset. If you go up the spiral path to the top of the hill u get amazing views of downtown and the river. Amazing place!

  • Dan Pommerening

Great view, close to downtown, bike trail leads there, unique park arrangement with a hill in the middle. Close to the Guthrie, cafes and bars nearby. Long benched for laying down on and reading a book or listening to music. Izzy's ice cream nearby.

  • Nicolle Toth

I love this park. So green and clean! I recently attended an outdoor movie there - steps away from Izzy's Ice Cream too - lovely mix of community. I hear there is going to be a water balloon fight there this coming Sunday - that should be a blast.

  • Davide

Nice park with riverside walk and a lot of green, connected with mill ruins park and Guthrie theatre. It is relaxing to walk here, admire different sculptures and Minnesota river, just a minute from city center. Free wi-fi available in the park.

  • perk star

Nice little park with very cool lights when the sun goes down! Amazing view from on top of the hill and just a couple minutes away is a huge bridge where to find scooters and all kinds of people. Be careful for the sprinklers after 7pm lol

  • David Dawis

Very scenic, a hill with a nice view. Be careful if you go barefoot; a lot of dogs in the park. 99 out of 100 may responsible dog owners, but it's that hundredth, walking their dog at 3 am, that leaves you a smelly little surprise.

  • Aishwarya Menon

Love visiting this park, it is great for dog watching! Plenty of space to socially distance and enjoy some green space in the heart of the city. Excellent view of the city and stone arch. Plenty of places to eat right next door!

  • Minneapolis Photography

Beautiful vibrant park. Popular place for food trucks especially Misfit coffee in the morning. Spectacular views of northeast Minneapolis and the Stone Arch Bridge. Also features several large art pieces.

  • Kevin Broderick

Nice park with a beautiful winding path mound. Not enough shade trees and strangely no Gold Medals. Just kidding. It's a great place to relax before going to the Guthrie. Road finally unblocked. …

  • Lucas Votruba

A quiet, peaceful space to spend some much needed time surrounded by green while in the city of Minneapolis. Never super busy, the grounds are always well kept. A great spot to take a beat and relax.

Come hang out at the top of the hill, and view the city, or take quick walk to Izzy Ice Cream for a good Ice Cream cone. Good people in this area, and a lot to see if you have never been there.
