Terrible bank! I have been to every possible bank in GTA and I feel HSBC has been the worst experience. There are no friendly staff, we went in to get information for a travel credit card and there was only one person in the front and she had no clue about any special offers or details about the credit cards they have and they only have like 5 credit cards in total. Also, she said we would have to book an appointment to apply for the credit card and once we got the appointment Booked with an advisors, the advisor called us back and said sorry we will have to cancel the appointment because the person in the front didn’t know I am busy for rest of the day. Right after that mess we went to CIBC and received great customer service and finished my credit card applications in less than an hour. HSBC clearly has lots to learn.
If I could give negative amount I would.Called previous day made an appointment for 140 since I couldn’t get in Hamilton branch. Drove all the way there told someone I was there at 130 saw 2 people go to the teller while was sitting there waiting. Tried getting attention of teller who rolled eyes at me after sitting there for half an hour. Nothing no just be a minute nothing.Didn’t call afterwards to see about another appointment nothing… Called HSBC again asked for branch phone number was told they don’t have one.. What the f—- kind of bank doesn’t have a phone number? Save yourself time and gas go somewhere else……..
I don't usually post reviews, but this is the second time in the last year that I've been into this branch to ask for information that wasn't available online about international banking (I have an HSBC account in the UK), and received only extremely snippy responses. Very embarrassing. I am not a difficult person to deal with and I work in customer service myself, I understand sometimes you're just having an off day. But this was completely out of left field and has happened twice now.
Opened a Premier Account recently and moved our RSP's to HSBC. We were in need of a bank with a Global presence. Laura has been extremely helpful and supportive as I maneuvered my way through moving arrangements and changing banks. I dropped the ball on something I needed to do and Laura jumped right in and made sure we were looked after, even tho it was my fault. The tellers were always polite and pleasant when making our deposits. We are very happy.
I have an issue with my debit card, and when I searched for opened HSBC branch on Saturday on website, I found that this branch is open on Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. So, I travelled from Hamilton to Burlington. After travelling all that distance, the branch was close despite posting a sign on this bank branch showing that the branch is open on Saturday ( totally inconsiderate client’s time and effort)
HSBC has got to be one of the worst banks to deal with. Everything has been centralized to the point where it’s impossible to make any contact. You get into a telephone waitlist that goes on for long long periods. It is virtually impossible to reach anybody at the branch level. HSBC seem to actively discouraged and try to follow everything into central answering services.
Terrible experience.. The Teller was very rude. Calles herself a Manger and would not give Managers contact. Funnily enough they put hold on Bank Drafts inspict calling us High Value Premier Clients.. Operates like a small credit union and call themselves an internationa Bank... Very dissapointed as this was my second bad experience
They don't know what they are doing and they don’t keep the promise with the customer. They didn’t know what to do because manager wasn’t there so they promised me to figure it out and got back to me and never got back to me. I’ve been to Hamilton, Oakville and Burlington branches and Burlington is the worst branch ever
My fiance and I tried to open a joint bank account to deposit a cheque of significant value at this HSBC location. The bank teller was speaking to us in a rude and condescending manner when explaining what identification was needed. We decided to take our business to RBC. We received much better service.
Hsbc Burlington branch is very good support to their client. The branch manager mr. Danny is very professional and do his best to support his client. Currently I am renewing my mortgage and he guide me in very professional way. So thanks lot to him and all his staff
Honestly the ATMs here function so slowly it feels like they are doing more with your banking information than what you ask. I have never come across machines that take so long to respond. Something fishy going on at this banks ATMs
This is one of the very few global banks in the world that give you the convenience. HSBC is quite conveniently located around 15 minutes from home. I wish there were more branches.
Went to the bank to get some USD and GBP and check my accounts. The staff is very friendly. Will recommend this branch to my friends
Absolutely no help. Trying to make an appointment. The staff is picking up the phone and throwing it down. Really frustrating
They have some weird policies that you will never see at any bank in world. Ended up switching to RBC much better service.
Went to bank open an chq account ..staff is not very friendly and rude ... seems branch manager is sleeping..
The branch manager Danny Andic is so helpful! I would recommend 100% for getting a mortgage with HSBC.
They tried to trick you into buying mutual funds, and they lied to cover up their mistakes.
Very efficient bank, but very few branches are available in every municipality.
Terrible service. They make it extremely difficult to take your money out.
Worst banking and overall retail experience of my life
Very bad service and very bad customer service
Terrible hours closed on Saturday. Ridiculous
All the staff are friendly and helpful!!
Garbage tellers. Annoying manager.
