I am desperate for a new hair dresser in the city so thought I would give this place a try, huge mistake. The owner is very friendly and seemingly knew her stuff when I described what I wanted, so I was confident it would be good. I wanted highlights and a bob. Very simple. I brought in photos of what I wanted and I have had similar styles and colours from other places (unfortunately closed) so it was not like I was asking for anything odd or difficult. What I got was uneven streaks and horrible layers. I had to tell her where the layers needed to be blended in more. From what I gave her as reference, I am not sure why I even have layers. I ended up just leaving because I didnt want her to ruin my hair more. I have never had to guide a hairdresser like this before. The more I think about it the angrier I am. At the beginning of the appointment when I requested low lights for better blending I was told it was unneeded, I should have pushed more because now I am left with streaks a la early 2000s. I cannot emphasis this enough, DONT GO HERE!! It is not worth it. I now need to find another place to fix it.

I had a fantastic experience at Hair Dynamic. I am new to the Ottawa area and found this salon through a Groupon offer. The previous reviews were all positive so I decided to give it a try. The entire experience was outstanding. Stephanie gave me a cut that I absolutely love. I was even able to replicate the finished look at home. I brought my 2 month old daughter with me to the appointment, and the staff was very accommodating. I felt welcome from the moment we walked through the door. I am going back next week to get highlights and have my other daughter's hair cut. I would definitely recommend Hair Dynamic to anyone looking for a great hair cut at a reasonable price, with friendly staff.

LOVE Hair Dynamic! Just discovered this cute little spot a couple months ago, and it was the best haircut I've had in a long time, if forever! Just left there today for a second time, loving my new style! Too many places in the city are over-priced and impersonable. The staff here are friendly, down to earth and actually listen to what you want done. The prices are resonable as well. Couldn't ask for better! I will not be going anywhere else. Thanks guys!

worst hair cut ever. The first time the teacher came and monitored the work. the second time the haircutter quickly cut my hair in 10 minutes and did a sloppy job. Shame for such a disgusting team. Will never ever come back again.

The owner, Georgette, is the not only great with cuts, she's incredibly busy talented with colour as well. Her prices are also the best in Ottawa. I love her!
