"Took my pet toy poodle there for the life time training package / 18-day live-in dog-training course"
"We were so nervous to board our two big dogs for 3 weeks while we went overseas and did a tonne of research into dog kennels - we finally chose Hanrob at Duffys Forest and they were fantastic! They allowed us to do a full tour of the facility to see where the dogs would be staying/playing, and ask any questions - they were completely honest and transparent, and you can tell the staff here are just genuine dog lovers ❤ Hanrob's senior trainer, Zoe is an absolute superstar - she kept up constant communication with us throughout our holiday with photos, videos and detailed emails about how our babies were looking, feeling and progressing with their training"
"My partner had enquired about the stay n train"
"Can highly recommend a stay at hanrob duffys forest for your loved pet"
Same as the review below. My 2 year older Am Staff (who goes to Hanrob Duffys forest allot and has never had issues) stayed for 7 days over Easter. I sent the below complaint and haven’t heard a thing. I will never take him back. The vet bills on top of the nearly $700 we paid is disgraceful, concerning and has caused my dog harm. Here’s what I wrote: My vet advised to at least bring this to your attention - some of the issues with Xavier since he stayed with you from 1st April - 7th April 2021: The paw pad on his left foot has slightly ripped off/detached - he was limping when I picked him up, it was infected underneath - vet said it was because he would have been trying to get someone's attention, get out of his kennel - (not anyone's fault) it's caused damage, He has strained a back leg tendon - again as above, he would have been trying to get someone's attention, get out of his kennel - (not anyone's fault) it's caused damage, he is now having to stay indoors, no exercise for 10 days. He has lost 2kg - another concern from the vet for his breed, he may have been fretting and didn't eat, not something you can control... How can we trust him staying there? I did send a text asking how he was and was told "he didn't poop in his kennel and held on for ages" This didn't make me feel he was having a great time, having to hold onto his poop for ages. I asked if I could get a photo but never heard back again...for 7 days!! I understand there were HEAPS of dogs there being Easter and if everyone (not on the "special package") asked for a photo, no one would be looking after the dogs but this was stressful and disheartening. When I picked Xavier up at 3pm on the 7th April I asked the young lady at reception, how did Xavier go and she said "I don't know....we are heaps busy, so you won't be getting a report card"...I said "so NOTHING in 7 days, you don't know how he was???" No communication, nothing??" and she went and got Xavier and said she asked other staff and that he was "fun and good"...after nearly $700 for this stay and how much time and money we spend at Duffy's for his day care, this isn't somewhere I would want to leave Xavier IN TRUST again if I can't be told how he is going DURING his stay and AFTER. We need somewhere safe and caring for Xavier and his owners. Even though its heaps busy, we are your clients and deserve to be informed how our dog is going.
Took my pet toy poodle there for the life time training package / 18-day live-in dog-training course. He was suppose to return home on December 7th, 2017. I got an email from Hanrob saying the trainer is unavailable to do the 60 minute departure lesson on the 7th and my other option is to pick up my dog and do the departure lesson on the 8th. Later on, I found out I was charged $69 on my credit card. I was not notified of, nor agreed to this charge, and it is very unreasonable because it’s not my fault that the trainer isn’t available. Then, when I pick up my dog, his hair was all messed up. The hairs all stick together. In the package, they say there’s complimentary aromatherapy bath, but it doesn’t seem like they combed his hair. So today, December 9th, 2017. I took him to the groomer. The groomer said his hair is all tied up and there’s nothing she can do, the only option is to shave it all. I’m very disappointed at Hanrob Pets Hotel. I spent over $1200 to get my pet trained and experience their “unique” treatment, the result makes me sad. It’s totally opposite to what they’ve advertised. Please do not be fooled by their clever marketing scheme. By the way, they say all pets need to be vaccinated when boarding with them; but they never asked to see my pets vaccination documents (I sent vaccination papers to them after my pet’s second day there). From such actions, I can say Hanrob is a very irresponsible business.
We were so nervous to board our two big dogs for 3 weeks while we went overseas and did a tonne of research into dog kennels - we finally chose Hanrob at Duffys Forest and they were fantastic! They allowed us to do a full tour of the facility to see where the dogs would be staying/playing, and ask any questions - they were completely honest and transparent, and you can tell the staff here are just genuine dog lovers ❤ Hanrob's senior trainer, Zoe is an absolute superstar - she kept up constant communication with us throughout our holiday with photos, videos and detailed emails about how our babies were looking, feeling and progressing with their training. One of our dogs showed signs of being unwell while she was there and the response was amazing - a vet visit, anti-biotics, extra cuddles and a stay in a VIP suite, she was back to herself in days. Zoe and the team gave us complete peace of mind that our babies were in good hands. When we picked them up they were happy, healthy and looked completely comfortable around the staff. I would absolutely recommend Hanrob if you're looking for a dog kennel that will love your dogs (almost!) as much as you do ❤
My partner had enquired about the stay n train. She was working everyday the past 2 weeks and received 2 calls from a private number over 2 days whilst she was at work both days and unable to answer. No voicemail and unable to return the call since there was no number. There was a third private number call on the 3rd day in a row which again my partner was unable to answer whilst she was working. This time there was a passive aggressive voicemail left by a female from Hanrob and my partner was told by the caller that they had called twice and not to waste the caller’s time among other things. Very unprofessional and left a bad impression on my partner who was quite upset to receive such a rude message. Why would you not leave a voicemail after the first call with the reason for the call and contact details to return the call, or even follow up with an email? Poor customer service and will not be proceeding with people like that
Can highly recommend a stay at hanrob duffys forest for your loved pet. Bailey our Aussie Bulldog stayed for 4 weeks over December/January and i was apprehensive as this was her first stay away from us ever. Upon our arrival the staff looked after Bailey and myself so well as i was very emotional to say the least. Bailey took a little while to settle in but i was getting updates on her progress and after the first week i finally relaxed about her staying. We were given progress reports and lots of photos to show she was very happy. Bailey stayed for the stay and train program as she has a few issues that needed to be addressed and i have to say she has been a happier more contented dog since coming home. She is still a work in progress but has come along in leaps and bounds.Cant thank the staff enough as to how well they looked after our girl. A special thanks to Zoe(trainer) and Tiarna who loved our girl so much.
DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PET HERE DUFFYS Forest is a nightmare. We picked up our beautiful old dog today... dehydrated, malnourished and stressed. We had to throw out her bedding as it was soaked in urine, she couldn't get out because they shut them in. Luxury Suite is a concrete cell, no sunlight no fresh air and not able to get out to toilet or socialize until someone opens the door , 1 hour per 24...... The bed was too high so she had to sleep on the concrete floor, the outdoor space was plastic grass with a bowl of old dog food covered in fungus on it. My life girl is 14yrs old....no respect or dignity from this place. Do your research, it will take weeks to get her back to normal. Should be closed down
I’m really disappointed with the service I received here which is a shame as I had high hopes. My dog was quite nervous and when I emailed for an update I got a yep he has eaten response. I was quite surprised given others had reported pictures etc. I paid for the luxury package and received care that was far from it. Despite being told he had a bath, his belly and feet were covered in mud and he smelt bad. I had to ask for the report card because they’d forgotten and even bought the wrong dog out on pick-up. The customer service just felt really poor and I don’t think there was anything luxury about the treatment my dog received.
We boarded our fur-child at Hanrob Duffys Forest for one of their Stay n' Train programs, and we could not recommend it more highly! The trainer Zoe went above and beyond to ease our concerns, communicate with us regularly and made genuine progress towards our goals. The Duffys staff were friendly and welcoming, obviously love their job and made sure our pooch came home happy, healthy and well trained. We will definitely be back! If you're thinking about booking your dog or cat in for boarding, or training, you can't go past Hanrob Duffys Forest!
Our family of animals have been coming to (Marendale, then Hanrob) since 2009. Firstly our rather feisty Red Heeler/German Shepherd, then our little Mini Jackadoodle along with our very shy Kelpie/Blue Heeler Cross. The staff at Hanrob have always been kind, professional and gentle with our dogs and I actually think that they genuinely enjoy being with them. We hate leaving our animals behind if we need to travel BUT having Hanrob at Duffys Forest so close by means we are assured of the very best care for them while we are away.
It's very evident our beautiful girl had a tough time in her first stay away from home.. She came home smelling horrible and had got what looks to be a fairly serious skin condition. She is very withdrawn and depressed, definitely not herself. After what you pay this is absolutely not what I expect. I will be contacting and requesting compensation in the form of a partial refund however if our poor girl is more permanently damaged by the experience then that will not be the end of the conversation.
Incredibly disappointed in the Duffys Forrest facility. Like others have said in their reviews, for what you pay for so called luxury suites, it is unacceptable. Despite being told you get updates and a complimentary wash, we got neither. We then got told you pay for for updates and the wash, although complimentary, was simply not carried out. Nice staff but unacceptable for what you pay. Our dog also stunk when returned, was depressed and we will simply not be returning there. Look elsewhere.
I had a look at the so called luxury suite but it was a cold concrete room with a bucket of water for the dogs to drink and a chewed up trampoline bed in the corner. The Hanrob facilities are all very different .This one in Terrey Hills is NOT luxury it needs a huge overhaulT. The standard is very poor indeed. I was very disappointed and cancelled my booking for my dogs to stay while I took a holiday. The staff seemed nice. Money needs to be spend. Hanrob lift your game.
Left my cockerspaniel badger at Hanrob for almost 2-weeks. It was great to see pics of him having a great time on their Instagram page, and when his ear gave him some trouble (which it can from time to time) the team were great at getting it taken care of and keeping me informed. My puppy always comes home happy after staying at Hanrob, particular when I book him a suite. Sometimes I think he likes it more there than home. Thanks again Hanrob.
Booked our pup into stay for a night, his first at a kennels. Staff checking in were very friendly and were great with our dog. Picked him up the next day and he was clearly so happy from his stay. He was absolutely exhausted from all the play he didn’t move for the next day so he clearly wasn’t just locked up in a cage. We are booked in again for 10 days in December when we go on holidays and have no concerns at all returning him there.
Our 7 year old toy poodle has been staying with Hanrob Duffy’s Forest since she was a puppy. Lollipop is always looked after very well. She is always healthy and happy, as well as smelling beautiful when we pick her up. All the staff are just fabulous. From the feedback we get each time it is clear that Lollipop is not just a number. They really know her and love her! We wouldn’t leave our much loved dog anywhere else.
We have left our dog twice there and he is always happy when we pick him up which is always a good sign. Left our new cat too and she seemed to had settled well too. The staff at reception are always friendly and you can see they love what they do. My favourite part is to receive the card reports regarding their stay, they give you an insight on what they did and how well they adjusted!
Our rescue dog Max is a regular visitor at Hanrob Duffys Forest. Max enjoys daycare most weeks to help with his socialisation and always comes home happy from extended stays. His training sessions with Zoe, and her regular feedback have helped us significantly to achieve our goals with Max. The staff are friendly and caring and I would highly recommend the Duffys Forest facility.
My dog stayed here for a week. Staff were friendly and helpful always. My pooch was pretty tired when we picked him up but that was expected as he was playing with a new friend all the time. No digestive problems or anything like that. On the negative, they were a bit cagey about showing where the pups stay. I assume it's not as luxury as their marketing makes out.
My dogs are currently staying at Hanrob duffeys Forrest. They are elderly dogs and seeing the photos they send, they are the happiest I've ever seen them. The staff are caring and wonderful. I highly recommend Hanrob to the owners who have never not had their pets by their side, you do not have to worry about a thing, they have a wonderful team.
We have bused Hanrob at Duffys forest several times now. We have 2 cats and whenever we have to go away for more than 5 days they go to Hanrob. The cats are very used to it now and they seem to regard it as "home away from home". They always come back well groomed, relaxed and healthy. We will continue to use Hanrob and highly recommend it.
I've had my two Jack Russell's stay here recently for 4 weeks and they absolutely loved their holiday! The staff is amazing and kept us updated with photos throughout their stay. Both smelled lovely when we picked them up and it seemed like they didn't want to leave their holiday place. We`ll definitely be back and can highly recommend it!
Kitty from Duffys Forest did a home visit and she was fabulous! Spent time with us to show us techniques that we could use to help our dog Frankie with socialising and controlling his behaviour when strangers come to the door. She explained everything really well and has a lovely manner. Frankie loved her! Would highly recommend her.
Thank you to the caring staff of Hanrob at Duffy’s Forest. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. It's so reassuring to see familiar staff every time our dog Lola is boarded. Lola requires extra attention and medication in the day/evening. The wonderful staff are able to accommodate and take care of Lola - and she loves it there!
Two problems. When we picked Sarah up there were 5 people waiting and one person returning or dropping off animals. It was Saturday morning. Perhaps you could allow for that. Sarah came back with a cold. This is probably unavoidable and a course of antibiotics fixed it. Apart from that Hanrob always looks after Sarah very well.
My dog is always so excited when we drop him off. For me, that's the best recommendation there is. He doesn't cower, or look stressed - quite the opposite, he tries to leap over the reception desk! I love the 'report card' idea too - lets me know how he's done, and who he's enjoyed playing with.
My dog loves staying at Hanrob Duffys Forest. She gets excited as we approach in the car and comes home happy but exhausted from so much play. The staff are friendly and accomodating and I can tell from chatting to them that they have got to know my dog very well during her stay.
Hanrob Duffy's Forest took excellent care of my dog, Harrison Ford. They picked him up and dropped him off at my home. I know that Harrison Ford will get such great care when i am away on holiday. I find great comfort in knowing he will be taken care of so i can enjoy myself.
Very happy with the service provided. Very happy to be able to drop off and pick up at my vet this time as much closer to our home (5 minutes instead of 45!). Many thanks for this service. Reports are a great feature, our whole family love
Staff are always very friendly and willing to help, you can easily see how much they love dogs which means I don't have to worry when my dogs are in their care. One of my dogs had bad separation anxiety and they could see how worried I was
I boarded my dog for a Stay and Train 20-day program and right from day one I knew I had made the right decision to leave her there. Her trainer Zoe, even though on her day off when I dropped my dog off, emailed and texted me to assure me
Bec and John at Duffy's Forest provided excellent care to my 2 kittens who stayed there for a week. The facilities are lovely - the cats were in a lovely room with 24/7 access to their own private garden area outside which they enjoyed as
Our labrador puppy, who is extremely active was very happy with his stay. He was given a lot of attention and love and didn't even seem to have noticed he was away from home. Great service and enthusiastic staff. Highly recommend!
My pup loved every minute of being at Hanrob. I was very worried to leave her as this is the first time she has boarded but I was sent photos of her playing with other dogs. She stayed in the luxury suite and was well cared for
Hanrob at Duffys Forest have been looking after our golden retriever whenever we go away on holiday for many years. Izzi loves it there and they seem to love her just as much in return. We wouldn't board her with anyone else.
King Louie has been staying at Hanrob Pet Hotel for many years! He always get VIP accommodations including his own garden to romp around in. They make him feel at home while we are away. They also send photos.
Our border collie loved his Hanrob stay at Duffys Forest. It was fantastic to know that he was well looked after with plenty of company while we were enjoying the Fijian sun! He will be back for sure !!
Our puppies love this place! We had our reservations about leaving a puppy and a 4 year old French bulldog with Hanrob but the team are amazing. Our dogs come home happy and well cared for.
Our Poppy loves staying at Hanrob, it is always a breeze booking her in and dropping her to our vet for the very convenient shuttle service to and from "the pet resort".
My doggo Calvin stayed at Hanrob Duffy's from 2 - 9 Apr. I checked him in as a happy, healthy dog. When I picked him, he smelled like he came from a gutter.
