Very nice staff and great consultation- as I thought at first! If your not a naive, very young party traveller, this is not the right place for you! I wanted to book at Peter Pan but they "catched" me on the street and convinced me to book with them. I booked a 10 day east coast trip incl. Fraser & Whitsundays (2 nights each) for 1540$. I mentioned that I would rather spend more money and get "nicer" tours with elder people and that I wanna avoid "party hostels" and big (mixed) dorms by all means. They confirmed my reassured me that I would LOVE it. Instead, I was very unsatisfied because A) they booked me into up to 18bed dorms in THE party hostels of all (Nomads, Base) B) no one even mentioned the Night bus, instead I spent 2 days in a bus from Fraser to Airlie beach C) they sold me an additional night after the Whitsundays tour which was not necessary but they told me we'll come back late and I would need it (we returned from the tour at 11AM and I would have catched an earlier/ cheaper flight if they would have advised me right!) C) when I called the Whitsunday tour to confirmed my stay it turned out that the booking didn't go through and the tour was fully booked then. I booked a tour for 500$ (with accomodation in a dorm on the Island, NOT on a boat). When I called Happy travel about they, they offered another alternative, which is "even more expensive and provides a better value because it's a a maritime tour with scubadiving"- that's what he promised. When I agreed, i looked up the price online to doublecheck and found out that he booked me into a much cheaper tour (cost only 360$ - so 140$ less value!!) and that no scubadiving was available. This was a clear attempt of a scam! No one offered a refund. I had to email them the screenshots to get the money refunded. D) i was very unhappy about the cheap accomodations during the trip and the little value for the very expensive Fraser Island tour and instead of taking it seriously, they would tell me that it was my fault because I booked to late and agreed to their bookings. I can absolutely not recommend this place. I expect to get what I ask for and also need to trust my travel agent that he provides what he promised. If I hadn't checked their "good alternative", they would have ripped the 140$ extra off me.

I went in near the end of the day literally as one of the staff was packing his bag to go. I then requested help booking for an activity at tambourine mountain. These things were fully booked days in advance so i had no clue what to do. Ive been floating along hitting things at a moments spot of interest. All around brainless on my part but Noel (travel advisor guy) pulled through!! He booked me an awesome surf experience with essentially no notice at byron bay the next morning. at one point there was no availabilities even listed but he got on the phone and talked them into updating an additional availability. He made it apear out of thin air. I had thought tambourine mountain just because it was something to do but noel got me a place in one of the most australian experiences ever. And thats not all. When we had finished booking that he satme down and asked me what the game plan was. While talking as im listing stuff i was hoping to do in sydney he helped with tips and advice for each item. When id gotten to the end of the in retrospect extremely short game plan for sydney he gave me ideas for more showed me possible day trips that he himself had enjoyed and gave me names of tours places to look at. And then when i got to the part where i had no plan whatsoever sfter sydney he helped sketch out a rough draft. This was all over the course of an hour or so. I wish i had walked into his store the moment i touched down in Brisbane. Noel and that other guy i never caught the name of you guys f-----g rock

I arrived in Australia from the UK 2 weeks ago landing in Brisbane with the intention of staying in Base hostel for one night before moving on, 2 weeks later I am still here...and it is mainly to do with the lovely people I have met so far with the guys at Happy Travels playing a big part in that. On the day I arrived I lost my phone, I felt scared and a little bit alone despite being in a big city but upon check in at my hostel I was given a free cocktail at the bar and despite not feeling brill I went along to claim it because who doesn't like a freer cocktail right?! , as I got down there I was chatting with Steve behind the bar about my not so good start to this journey when Pete over heard and immediately insisted that I join in on the pub crawl and get stuck into the games and fun... himself, Abby, and Sierra were so friendly and welcoming and have continued to help where they can. for instance the other day I was wandering past happy travels and Pete called me in to see how I was getting on....without any questions asked he printed off a load of my CV's and pointed me in the direction of a potential job... The round it all off I have to say how utterly lucky I feel to have these guys by my side helping and advising each and every time I see them. Would recommend them to anyone who just wants to chat to genuinely friendly, honest and knowledgeable people about booking their next adventure, skydive or whatever. . They are Ace!

Myself and my boyfreind signed up to happy travellers 2days into arriving in Australia. We were helped by a lovely lady called Alex, she took our details and cv and told us she would contact us if any farm work was available - so smooth and helpful. We then went into happy travelers store in Brisbane just too see if they had anything else to offer, and they absolutely did. We were greeted by Hannah, Pete & Abby, who greeted us with big smiles and very welcoming vibes. We explained to them that we wanted too see more of Australia and Abby and Pete sorted us with an amazing Camper Van deal! , for a month, a beautiful 3days in whit Sunday’s for our anniversary! , I couldn’t of asked for a better assistance and would recommend happy travellers to anyone !! , especially the team in Brisbane! Edward was the one I talked with. He was super nice and easy to talk with! I ended up booking my entire east coast trip through him. Because he just knew way more than the other places I have been where I also talked about the east coast (peterpan and work and travel) he had also traveled the east coast 50+ times, and he had been guides on multiple tours up the east coast. And you could really feel he knew and had tried everything. And just burned for making the best trip for me! He took his time with me, which means he ended up staying extra hours, and held the shop open just for me (shop was supposed to close at 6 and I left at 7:30) , so I could finish all my questions! I ended up staying for around 5 hours. If I'm going to travel again, there is only one man I wanna talk with about my trips and that is Edward! I would highly recommend Happy Travels in Brisbane and specialy Edward! Best experience in any travel shop! And I have been traveling in Australia for more than 8 months!

I had the worst experience ever!! I won a Skydive during the Wednesday Bar Crawl, advertised as a FREE Skydive. It was a 2 for 1 Skydive in the End, so I still had to pay for it. When I wanted to book it "Skydive Australia" said that I've got a Voucher expired in December '17. Happy Travels gave me a different Voucher number, very unfriendly on the phone, no excuses or anything. Something was wrong with that Voucher again and when I called again they literally said it's not their problem and Skydive Australia should sort it out and then just ended the call without me having the chance to say a word!! Horribly rude behavior! Absolutely no help and support!! It's not the first time something goes wrong in that Travelshop.. No costumer service for me! In the end Skydive Australia allowed me to book with an invalid Voucher for the location I wanted. Big love to you guys! After 2 hours of discussing on the phone. Happy Travels was not helpful at all even though it was THEIR fault.

So I just booked my East Coast with Harry and I wanted to leave a review. He was in the hostel at Nomads but he works in Happy Travels as well in the city. He spoke to us in the street randomly whilst at the bar. I came in with 4 friends, after he kindly messaged us all on Facebook and booked an appointment. We all wanted to do different things and we was a bit of nightmare for him to be honest. But he did really well. He took into account what we all wanted and how we were all different people. I did not want to party, so he booked me on all the things that were adventure based and more natural. My friends booked the party based. He planned my entire trip for me and now I have no stress! I have another appointment with him in 3 days to talk about NZ and I can't wait, he got us all very excited for our trip!

The guys helped us out so much with our farmwork we came into the store with a plan to go to a certain location for our farmwork and looking to book a way of getting there. They warned us off due to having done farmwork themselves and knowing its not a brilliant area for this. They went a step further giving us a few different numbers of farmers and contacts and places to look for farmwork. We managed to secure a really good farm further North the guys helped us book a hostel for our night stop over in Cairns and helped book our transport to the farm. so helpful if you're struggling for farmwork, looking for tours or need any advice while in Australia then nip in and visit these guys.Thanks team xx

You go to all travel booking buisnesses around town and they all just say what you want to hear to get as much money out of you as possible not at happy travels. I walked past the shop and they did a lottery. I picked a piece of paper and was surprised to find "free scuba dive" written on it. The lady told me I had won a free scuba dive and I asked her 3 times if it really was free and if I had to book anything else to get the free dive. She said that it would be absolutely free and asked me to come into the shop. At the shop the owner and the lady tried to convince me to book a whole east coast package which I declined because I am not traveling around in the next 3-4 months and asked for the free dive. He said I'd only get it free if I booked the 200$ ship. So that was very unpleasant to me.

We’ve met Ed today at the nomads hostel Brisbane. We just had a nice chat and ended up booking a Fraser Island tour which was an amazing offer. We’ve spent 1,5 hours at happy travels, got a cappuccino for free and learned a lot about our east coast trip. My friend and I have been traveling up the coast and while we were in Brisbane Noel approached us on the street. We had no intention of booking any tours that day as we had already booked our Fraser Island, whitsundays and magnetic island tours in advance. However he was so friendly and helpful, offered us great deals so we booked scuba diving, skydiving and surfing that day. For each tour he called up his boss as well as the tour companies to get us the best deal possible. I really feel like we saved a lot of money through happy travels and we've already had a great experience with our surf lesson! Really excited for the rest!

Ed (store manager) is an absolute legend. Met him on our first day in Brisbane where he sorted us out with activities to do on our travels south to Sydney. He then gave me his contact details to organise my trip down from Cairns. After I sent him a quick message with a rough and slightly confusing plan, he sorted it all out in a few hours. Tours, dates, bus pass, timings all done on an itinerary. He even suggested hostels. A very personal experience making it easy to sort out my plans. Couldn’t have asked for more. We went to happy travels in brisbane to book our frazer island and Whitsundays trips, and got out with the rest of our trip up the east coast booked as well. We sat for almost 3 hours with the amazing,knowlagable and helpful Ed that carefully explaind each trip option and helped us put up an awesome route up the east coast. I definitely recommend Happy Travels for all your East Coast trips. I went to see Abbie to arrange a package tour on the East coast: Fraser + Whitsundays + the Reef. She gave me a really good discount and was very listening to everything I wanted to do. She gave me some precious advice and was really honest and upfront on what to expect, the perks, pros and cons of the different tours and providers.
