"Hare Krishna temple is a place, not just for eating and sleeping but to create a base with the knowledge to fight Maya"

“We invite, All Hungry people, take your eating here, sumptuously. Why you should remain hungry”. – Words of the Founder Srila Prabhupada, from the 70’s, continues to occur to this day, at the Temple, despite many challenges. However, upon my visit over the past few days there does seem to be room for improvement as my experience was somewhat inconsistent and border lining on disheartening. •Upon entry to the dining hall during the described times, I often noted the Food preparations were nearly running out. I believe on the 25th (Sunday), at 1830- there appeared to be no food left. There was no information available on where attendees could go to obtain more, however I noted that some attendees obtained food at another location, which remains a mystery) •I understand that personnel serving food items are volunteers (thus not members of the temple) however it feels that these volunteers or maybe even staff can be selective in who they serve. Some of these personnel have no smile, no energy , are arrogant and don’t seem happy. They wouldn’t even respond to an acknowledgement. I noticed that some people in the queue could ask for more, as they knew the people serving. Food is meant to be distributed, not hoarded. What is the correct way to ask for more whilst in the queue. Servers should have more emotional intelligence and compassion. This is especially important if you bring visitors to “relish the kitchen religion”. •The event on Boxing day was somewhat disorganized in 40 degree heat. Lunch was only served at 4pm, and was advertised at 2pm. Queue and crowd management was a disaster. Many people where cutting in, making it difficult. Children, the elderly and desperate should have been served earlier, whilst the celebrations/processes where underway. •Staff (members in devotional attire) didn’t seem that approachable, and lacked energy. I found that it was difficult to establish a conversation or even a greeting with staff. Some staff seemed hostile too caught up to even acknowledge you.
On the occasion of Radhashtami I and my friend visited this place for the first time. Due to the occasion, there was a big crowd inside, who were having lunch. Although we didn't see the idol since we were late and the doors to the place of worship had been closed, we did have a good meal. It was extremely well prepared, with unlimited refills. We also helped out a bit towards the end. It was nice.

Hare Krishna temple is a place, not just for eating and sleeping but to create a base with the knowledge to fight Maya. Reading 1000's of books and associating with devotees and loving everyone with no expectation. With a constant service attitude towards Krishna and his devotees. Sad to say i have to leave this place but, Krishna resides in the heart. So let's create a pilgrimage wherever we go. A place to taste, understand and experience true spirituality. Soon will visit again.
Hare Krishna! Each visit to this place brings an incredible sense of peace and relaxation. The profound positivity that permeates this location is truly captivating. Every aspect of this place, whether it's the temple, garden, gift shop, or prasadam room, boasts remarkable positivity. Additionally, the prasadam is exceptionally delightful and comes highly recommended for tasting.

A Temple spreading the ideas of Krishnaism among devotees, this is absolutely marvelous to be there. Chanting Hare Krishna mantra with all presents gives you feeling of oneness. Excellent quality of daily prasadam is served here. Last month a new Temple wonderfully built has been opened to public at Mayapur, ISKCON HQ in India . With more than 250 Centre's spread all over the world, it is the Blessing of Lord Krishna.
Beautiful Krishna temple in the town. Very peaceful place. Highly engaged in many versatile noble activities. Location is also beautiful. One of the thing to keep in mind is most of the parking space nearby are 1P parking only. And also the temple would be open the whole day, but darshana timings are different than it. For darshana, please consider the darshana timings while planning a visit here.
Most amazing, beautiful deities and temple. Immaculatly clean and wonderful spiritual atmosphere. During arati, kirtan is always going on and prasadam, tasty food is served three times a day for everyone. Apart from this, some snacks are always served. A must visit temple for all who love Lord Krishna. There is also small well maintained garden, water fountain and tables to sit and relax.
My Family visited the temple during the weekend. This is an amazing place. Everyone should go there and spend some time for the internal peace. The Prasadam was very deleicious. Hare krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare

It was our privilege to make a visit to ISKCON during our recent visit to Melbourne in the evening. Had a nice darshan of the Lords, listened to pravachana and had sumptuous prasadam. Premises was well maintained and garden area was beautiful too. Felt blessed.
The positive feeling is surreal and amazing! The temple hosts are very helpful and guide well. Do download their application "ISKCON Melbourne" and book an appointment, as an appointment is mandatory (it's predominantly required for contact tracing).
Beautifullllll Krishna temple situated near South Melbourne beach. If you are using public transit in Melbourne, you can use tram numbers 1 and 12 or bus number. These will take you to different stops within 6-7 mins walking distance from the temple.
It is a place of worship but everyone regardless of their faith of choice is welcome to come enjoy the prayers and free feast as part of the service.

They were extremely pushy and gave me a random book. Then they asked for a donation. This is a scam.
