"We are always on the lookout for nice Japanese restaurants and had always seen this spot but hadn't had a chance to visit! Travelled over to Camden and thought we'd try it - it was a lovely experience! Our bento boxes were nice and the place was quite nicely designed"
"Best experience ever! Loved the delicious food… The staffs were very polite and helpful in selecting the perfect dish for the day"
We gave this place a go after 2+ years living around the corner . We always wondered why it was frequently empty (even on a weekend) . On a Friday they have half the tables stacked with chairs (closed off). Gobsmacked at all the 5 star reviews here!! Either fake, mustn’t know decent food or new ownership… it’s the only reason we eventually tried this place and we feel so cheated! Spent just close to $100 for 2 - 2 sushi rolls, 1 chicken thigh, 1 karrage, 1 pork gyoza and a soft drink. Ratio of rice to meat on sushi roll was 3:1 or 4:1. Just super stingy and didn’t taste fresh. $19 & $21 each Karrage over battered, dry and desperately in need of new cooking oil. The waitress brought this out with one of her thumbs casually chilling on our squid. Lovely. No sauce or anything provided (a fish n chip shop would have provided this) $20. Waiters all young and huddle in a Corner together. To get their attention I would look at them or put my hand up and they would just stare and look away (at least 3 times). Weird atmosphere. Chicken thigh in “goojojung sauce “ was enough to maybe feed a bird and was splattered onto a plastic plate to appear like there was more. No goojojung found but tasted like coles roast chicken $20. Gyoza was the only dish that we liked. Soft and juicy. $13.50 Overall this restaurant is trying to pass as an upper dining restaurant whilst serving sub par food at extortionate prices. Please go to ANY restaurant in strathfield and raise your standards a little (doesn’t have to be the rocks, north sydney or Japan). We’re not chefs well but we can certainly tell the difference between really horrible food and decent food
Without going into fine detail - was seated for dinner with a booking, the waitress came back to the table after a couple of minutes and in no uncertain terms told us we had an hour for the table because of the following booking. I don't think I've felt less welcome at a restaurant, I probably should have left at this point. It wasnt the message so much as the delivery. The staff need some training and support with their people and communication skills. Food was adequate but nothing to write home about and very slow to come out. One dish wasn't put through on our order. Way too expensive for the portion sizes. Wouldn't recommend and won't be returning.
Attended a month or two ago, and unfortunately we had a really bad experience. We waited over an hour and a half for some of our food to arrive - and the food was disappointingly cold and not very nice. During our wait, we noticed several other tables around us also receive only half of their food, and leave as they did not want to wait for the rest. We heard one person complaining that they asked for a vegetarian bento box and were given pork (which I suspect was my meal that I never got). We reluctantly paid for the food that we ate, and felt awful for the two (very lovely) young staff members who were trying to deal with many unhappy customers.
We are always on the lookout for nice Japanese restaurants and had always seen this spot but hadn't had a chance to visit! Travelled over to Camden and thought we'd try it - it was a lovely experience! Our bento boxes were nice and the place was quite nicely designed. Will definitely be back! It is a much more quiet, out of the way, style Japanese restaurant than the others around Camden/Campbelltown.

Great customer service. We were asked what meats we prefer and suggested meals based on our preferences. Not our first time here so have had a variety of their food multiple times. Never been disappointed. Quick service and decent pricing. Bossam roll is definitely a favourite.

Kids love the atmosphere. Benton box gets their attention
The GREATEST, most delicious and most affordable bento box in NSW (or maybe ever!). The quality of the seafood is sensational and they are extremely generous with their serving size. We were ordering this weekly during lockdowns. Friendly and efficient staff too! Haruki is truly one of Camden’s greatest gems.

Worst experience! Wandering how this place got 4.3 stars. Must be all paid reviews!! Over priced for what they served, $15 for 5 pieces of gyoza, $22 for small bowl of octopus and the list goes on! we had to search for noodle in a bowl of soup! Wouldn’t recommend this place at all!

Very friendly staff. Great selection of Sachimi, tonight I had some fried chicken but taste so bad like the oil was old or something. Miso soup always nice here.

Was passing by and noticed this place. Amazing choice and quality sushi and sashimi. Very friendly staff. One other point is that this place is very spacious and clean, which nowadays is among the top of my list in deciding on the venue. Will definitely come back!

Been to this restaurant twice now. Both times were exceptional. Food was great, service was fast and staff were polite, friendly and welcoming. However, the second time going, a girl named Erica stood out. She went above and beyond and was just great in general. Thank you and hope to be back soon!
Nice surprise. Even though it is located in a regional town, the food is as good as what one might expect closer to the city where there may be more savvy Japanese around. The tempura udon noddle only has one prawn, the chef substituted with vegetable, probably a healthy choice. More
Ordered multiple times, no one knew what was going on. We waited 90 mins for food that didn't end up coming. Absolutely disappointing. Too busy getting menu log orders a priority. We left hungry!!!

3rd time there. My friends and I would like to order something different as we'd tried bento boxes which are really good. The sashimi is fresh. The Karrage is yummy. We've tried the lotus root tempura which is tasty with floral aroma. Have spent a pleasant night!
I don't know why we don't eat here more often. The sushi is fantastic quality along with the Udon and Don dishes. I tried the Wagyu beef for the first time which I would rate as a taste explosion. I was full and felt healthy. Definitely highly recommended.
They didn't have rice. The beer was warm. There was no salmon. The wait staff were polite. However everything took ages to come. We didn't receive half of our main meals. And it was very expensive for the lack of food we received. Over all
Staff are great. That's where my positivity ends. The food is not what I paid for. It lacked authenticity and flavour. I went after reading good reviews but quickly realised this restaurant caters for the Camden crowd who think pepper in
First time trying this restaurant and on first entry impressions this place looks of a dirty Restaurant and it's an absolute junkyard with the rubbish and chairs stacked everywhere.. after a 2 minute wait I was greeted by a very bland
Attended restaurant for the first time today mainly after reading the positive reviews. Very impressed by the freshness, quality, presentation and value of the food. The service was prompt and friendly, will definitely be returning.
Overall a good experience. Menu selection is large enough to keep you satisfied but not overwhelmed and the food itself is tasty and well priced. The decor is okay, lacking in some aspects, though i beleive the old building
Reserved a table for two, so they knew we were coming, no menus, no cutlery, terrible service! Nothing worse than a waitress who hates her job and can’t smile! So left and went to Camden Thai, perfect food, perfect service!
We ordered the Bento Box and the servings were so generous! Great food and great service. We had a wonderful date night. Can't believe more people weren't there.

We waited an hour for our sushimi entrees and they served part of our main meal first...the young waitress was lovely and apologetic. The food was tasty. The restaurant also very noisy as nothing to muffle sound.
New to area and have been here many times, has set a standard even above very fine Japanese restaurants. Pork Miso and the Grilled Salmon are very tasty. Will be costly if you like to eat huge amounts.
Kudos to the staffs they're working really at there best and most of all the food it was so good

The service is this place is a joke. Finally ordered after waiting half hour for a menus to be delivered, then watched people around us get served there food that arrived after us.
Always fresh we’ve been about 5 times now there isn’t a big selection of beer but the cocktails are good
