We went to just have a visit. I walked away with a stunning 90cm tank, stand, light and rocks - whoops! A well kept store that looks loved. Great staff that were very patient with the dynamics between my wife and myself, read the scenario perfectly and helped with the purchase. Great amount of hard scape items, huge number of tanks for sale (not just your vanilla Aqua One stuff either) and lots of other equipment. The tanks of fish were brimming! This was also the first store in NSW I have seen with reptiles kept upstairs. I'm very much hoping not to open that can of worms! Thank you people at Hi-Tek, see you soon!

Hi-TEK aquariums have always been amazingly helpful. The staff there always take the time to answer any questions that I have. They also made sure that I had the correct water parameters and that the fish I was buying were compatible with the fish that I had. Last thing I would want is dead fish! As well as having a great range of fish, they also have an awesome selection of hardscaping stuff like driftwood etc. The team had some great tips on my aquascaping. My tank is looking great now, and everyone that sees them always comment on how nice they look! Very happy

Very friendly staff, many items and many different fish type that you won’t find it from outside! And you can see they marked some information about the fish type, ph and the temperature of the fish, very good for the beginner, and you can see their aquarium are very clean! That’s amazing❤️ Because I went many different aquarium and I saw many of them didn’t clean the aquarium and even found some dead fish inside . But not Hi Tek! Just the price are bit expensive of the Fish and crystal shrimps, if they can mark lower the price will be perfect !

Bought 2 Rams & 10 Neons 10 days ago. 6 days later they had infected my entire tank with a Fungus & Whitespot. Hi-Tek denied that it had anything to do with their fish and refused to help other than to sell me treatment. I lost $200 worth of fish. There were 'fish on hold' 2/3 tanks down from mine and they had Whitespot. I cant believe they were sold to me. Be careful. They are more expensive than most aquariums and frankly I can't understand where the value is.

Great shop, good range (although personally I'd like to see more African cichlids - the only reason I didn't give a fifth star), and helpful staff. I actually find this a great place to browse as there are plenty of things for the kids to look at while I find what I need - not only an abundance of fish, but also reptiles: turtles, snakes and lizards. This is my local aquarium shop and I'll definitely be back.

Great selection of fish to choose from, both freshwater and marine. Also have reptiles, something extremely hard to find in Australian pet stores. A bit more expensive than other places though. They use an old paper voucher system for a rewards program. Descent amount of aquascaping materials and equipment as well.

Brilliant aquarium to visit for all your fish supplies. I love just wandering through too . Immaculately maintained with stunning fish , turtle & some interesting reptiles too . This is no ordinary aquarium supply store , this is a lovely outing for anyone with kids , they’ll absolutely love seeing Nemo & Dori !

Had a great experience buying a snake from Nathan at Hi-Tek. He was knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic and made sure we understood everything we needed to know about our new snakey. We were really impressed with the quality of service. Always a good place to shop. Excellent all round!

Good seletion of live fish and reptiles. Accessories and consumables etc can be a little on the pricy side. Service is vey dependant on which staff members are working. Ranges from fantastic and making the customer feel valued to rude and feeling like you are annoyance to the staff.

So helpful. I know I can give them a call or drop in and they are very willing to give me advice on my little sick fighting fishy. Very knowledgeable and polite. Unfortunately my fishy didn't survive (not purchased here) but when I'm ready for another will be going here to buy.

Amazing range of fish and reptiles, I love the displays and prices. This is definitely the place to buy fish and reptiles. Not many tanks though and the stick insect leaves were dead and some of the feeder fish were lone neon tetras which I find cruel.

Bought 2 fish at this store. One died within 24 hrs. Went back to get another, with said fish. Told at that point they needed a water sample before replacing fish. The guy was rude and made my daughter feel like it was her fault the fish had died.

They are scam on earth. Very rude customer service i have found. I think the name of the guy is paul. He doesn't even know what is customer service. Hi tek may be you should give more training on this matter. They give totally wrong information.

As I novice aquarium hobbyist I was sold a Koran Angel and the question was asked at the time is this fish safe for coral and other fish. It has killed fish and continuously nips on the soft corals in my tank.

Hi Tek has just about everything you need for a nice healthy aquarium! The quarantine procedures are there. and sick fish are treated appropriately. The staff are always super friendly as well :D

Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great displays and good availability of stock. Popular aquarist stop-off, making it rather busy at times (so you know its good!) - and they do reptiles now too.

Downstairs is kind of wheelchair accessible, unfortunately lots of stock and reptiles upstairs which is inaccessible to wheelchairs but the staff are great and so willing to help!

A great place for indoor aquariums and equipment and the best spot for marine fish on the Northern Beaches. Not cheap, but worth the price for the great service and advice.
