A nice little bar just off the beaten path. Good tap beer selection in addition to the full bar. We didn't get to experience the roof-top-bar as we had kids with us, but the indoor space was also nice. We ordered the Maverick, American Honey, and the CBR, and each one was delicious. Baked on thin pita bread and smothered with delicious toppings, this was excellent and unique pizza. The whole family enjoyed the meal as well as the old brick building atmosphere.

Came here for coffee the first time. Had wonderful service then, and the place is clean and well lit. Came back for cocktails and beer. A little expensive but definitely worth it. I had the cucumber vodka soda (no photos of it full; only empty) and it was amazing! So refreshing! It's rare to have a bar that has fresh additions to their cocktails. The cucumbers tasted good, were crisp, and the bitters set it off. That kind of care goes a long way. Definitely will return and recommend to other peeps. It's an underrated place with great service and drinks.
The place was a bit small (the rooftop’s closed) and it got crowded quite fast. We had a fairly large group and it felt like we were in everyone’s way, but there weren’t enough seats at the table so many of us had to stand and mingle (but then we inadvertently blocked other patrons because of the narrow area). We went at 5pm on a weekday and many of us wanted to try the cider that was on the menu, but I guess they ran out (??), which was a bummer. The bartenders were great, it just got a bit too chaotic for my liking.
This place offers an interesting provision of choosing your pizza ingredients from scratch, and seeing them bake in front of you. The pizza crust is good, but I give it 3 stars for my Caesar’s pizza which had so much cheese, that me being an ardent cheese lover was feeling awful. Maybe it was the goat cheese, and a lot of mayo definitely (or whatever white spread that was to give the final coating). The pizzas are long cylindrical, and a single one is sufficient for one person. The service was good, ambience was ok.
Hive Bar is just north of the Lincoln monument, so if you've ended your walking afternoon around there, turn north and stop in. The beer is cold, the pizza is hot and the service was fantastic. We were here on a Saturday afternoon, the manager, 'Day' was AMAZING, the food from &pizza and beers hit the spot. Awesome old building - will definitely go back

We stopped here for a few drinks after exploring DC for the afternoon. It's very trendy. The staff was super friendly and they all seemed passionate about working there. We made our way to the rooftop patio when it opened and it quickly filled up with a mostly 20 something crowd, though there were some older people. I recommend the Hive Lager and the Distressed Diplomat. I'll be back here.
There is a &pizza next door I was told when I checked it the hotel I can buy my pizza at eat at the bar. I guess I misunderstood. So I bring my pizza and asked if I could eat at the bar. I was told I had to buy the same pizza to eat at the bar. I guess me eating at the bar from the box messed up the aesthetic. It’s surprisingly a very formal bar that serves pizza. I don’t get it the vibe.
Rooftop Bar specifically: it's very nice and you can order food, but they have limited drink menu on the roof. Their frozen margaritas hit hard. If you are hosting a private event, be sure to inquire about the space being exclusive to you. They have one private event space and booked two events there at the same time so we were expected to share...and did.

Small beer and cocktail selection with a good atmosphere for a professional happy hour. Unfortunately several of the taps were empty at only 4pm on a Thursday. Pizza is available but it's an odd ordering process where a bartender has to go to the &Pizza shop next door and place your order for you. Reccomend the rooftop bar when it is open.
Y’all!!!! Hive bar was a breath of fresh air! First of all, our waitress Keisha was amazing! So friendly, professional, knowledgeable and oh so sweet! She recommended the garlic knots ( amazing) the dirty bird pizza (top of the notch) and to top of off…. A refreshing vodka drink called the dirty bird! Keisha, thank you, will be back!
Food was great and a rooftop bar to go with it was perfect on a sunny afternoon. Also serves N/A choices and mocktails

This place has great drinks and what are likely the best concoctions of an &pizza on their menu. I just wish that they didn’t skimp out on the “hive” lights and decked the entire bar area out with them. It would really raise this place to another level to have an entire ceiling filled with these dope hexagonal lights.
This is a cool place, which is actually two bars. Yes, two bars one at the ground level and one on the roof. The rooftop bar opens at 4:30 p m and closes at 10:00 pm. The regular bar stays open till 1:00 am. Pizza is great with a nice selection. My favorite is the Gnarlic - classic white pizza with grilled onions
Stumbled upon this place while driving around DC. Service was friendly, the hotel has a cute bee theme. The city view Is. Very nice, can see the Watergate hotel and the entrance to Georgetown from here. Hive lager is crisp and cold. Had some delicious pizza to go along the relaxed ambiance. Definitely recommend.
This bar has so much potential. The view is great, the atmosphere is perfect for a classy rooftop with shade/heaters. The pizza was delicious. On the hand, the bar was terrible. They only had premixed liquor drinks or beer. The service was very slow. There needs to be a full bar at a rooftop bar.
If you come in here September 2022 understand they’re getting a new bar manager, the changes are coming I understand but not right away. They have a MINIMAL drink menu and the only soft drink they have is ginger ale. It’s a work in progress, be patient with em. Their beer menu is awesome though
Hive Bar is a great local place to grab a drink and a flatbread pizza if you're in the area. The rooftop bar is NOT to be missed if the weather is good, and their happy hour drink specials are excellent. Definitely limits on what food you can get, but the pizza from &pizza is quality.
Decent spot for a pre-KC show drink and quick bite (&pizza!). They carry a few local beer but certainly don't have a huge variety. There's enough seating for small crowds but very few options for big groups. Anyway, I'd be back if I end up in this area.
I really liked the bar but I thought the prices were a few bucks too high for what they were. The staff was great though and the pizza was delicious. For a hotel bar this place hit the spot and then some. I'll more than likely go back given the chance.
We absolutely LOVE Keisha! Friendly, informative, great drinks, Great Bartender!! She is truly the BEST!! Stop in and see her, she will make your day!! Have her make you a Cup of Fun!! If your looking for a great environment, check out the Hive Bar!
This is an easy place to spend time with friends (or enemies!). Tasty pizza and good beer. If you’re lucky, Keisha will be running the place; she’s so friendly and efficient, even when the storms drive everyone inside and she’s the only one working!
I always walk pass this bar on my way home so I decided to invite my Uncle for a drink.. First off fruit flies are at the bar, bartenders take to long to make a drink and then their weak! Plus No happy hour on Fridays.. So it's a hit or miss! More
We visited this place over the weekend and had a poor experience. They have an elevator but do not use it! In fact, there is a sign on the upper level to not use the elevator. But, no sign on the ground floor. The staff at the bottom floor
Went here with high expectations, but once we got up to the rooftop (very nice by the way), there was only one bartender for a line of 50 people. Didn’t get a drink for an hour. Would love to enjoy this space again, but I won’t be coming
The place is okay, but the service is the worst I’ve experienced in a very long time. There was only one person tending to the bar and all the tables. I arrived at 6:15 pm and went to the bar 5 times, but she never registered my order. I
This is strictly a bar, very popular after work spot. The rooftop was closed due to air quality so didn’t experience that! They tried to accommodate the reservation by putting us in this tight corner, but it was cool. They have a
The atmosphere and service staff were great. The rooftop bar need a full bar and because what they have is pre-made. But overall was great!!

Excellent service. The spirits are all locally produced. Our vodka tasted more like rum and the rum didn't taste like anything I recognized. Well drinks; $10, so check out the happy hour.
I've been to the roof bar a few times. The pizza is actually pretty tasty and the canned wine is genuinely enjoyable. Great vibe at this college area roof. Kind and good service.
A romantic hidden gem. Grab a drink and a artisanal pizza, then settle in among the rustic brick atmosphere. Terrific place for meaningful conversation
Really nice hotel. Clean, efficient and the staff were super helpful. The pizzas are a must. Deee-liscious! Happy hour in the bar downstairs is good.
Great bar. Cozy and welcoming. Good food. Affordable. Friendly staff. Inside and outdoor seating. Unfortunately the rooftop bar is closed
A little off season. Nice atmosphere, but only beer, canned wine & canned cocktails served.

Very attentive service in an intimate seeing. Very cool exposed brick. Good drinks. Small space, so not perfect for large groups.
Perfectly fine place to have a drink or a get together. Grown up enough too in the heavily GW student area.
What a lovely place, great service. And a sweet location with good bites and drinks none alcoholic too.
Great pizza. Good vibe. Laid back atmosphere fireplace is a nice touch. Good breakfast.
