We have been telling people of our experience. 15 Feb. - We have an old house and needed advice on what to do to proceed. Robert turned up to look at doing our kitchen. He was rude and not at all helpful. As soon as he came in I felt uncomfortable. I felt like he would rather be somewhere else and was rushing us. He stormed out and told us to get back to him when we knew what we were doing. We were questioning whether we need new windows? We thought a service was when people offered advice and didn't give attitude when you were unsure how to proceed? We are not professionals at renovating. If he is overworked maybe you need more employees? We have indoor cats and the way he left means that they could have got out causing us another problem. We want to install more than just a kitchen. We want to fix up windows and install a door and decking. We also plan on building another bathroom and renovating the laundry. Business lost to Hobbs due to one person having a bad day. Why does Hobbs employ someone with such a bad attitude? I was extremely upset at this outcome and emotionally drained. 16 Feb. - A neighbour tells us how shocked she was at the wasteful way you use product and throw it in the skip. Happy we got to opt out early. Too bad we couldn't be reimbursed for the petrol we used to drive down to your Springwood showroom from the upper mountains on Monday. That is two wasted days for us. I'm still angry at such arrogance. 1 March - In response to your comment. We haven't commissioned anyone to build our kitchen yet. We have however bought windows and a door to install through another company. They have been very helpfu. Having someone enter our home and basically belittle and humiliate us was very upsetting. Your staff know how upset I was. Rob is a bully. As for the hilarious accusation about racism. My husband and I are both considered second generation Australians as our fathers were born overseas. It's quite hard to be racist against your own race I would have thought? My husband's family is from that part of the United Kingdom. We are considered part of the "white race" as well last time I checked. You can see by how few times I've given a google review that I am not a liar, and feel strongly about commenting when I do. I hate conflict and avoid it, and I am very much an introvert.

We have always been more than impressed with Hobbs’ plumbing services – always such a thorough job, always polite, helpful and wonderful to deal with. So, when we realised we needed our bathroom renovated (I have mobility problems, gradually getting worse, and our existing bathroom made things difficult for me), we decided to see whether Hobbs could help us. We’ve always heard how stressful and awful renovations were from friends, so we thought that we were going to suffer for a few months. But actually, if you choose the right service provider, this is absolutely not the case. In fact, with Hobbs, we had what I can only describe as a delightful experience. Hobbs went out of the way, beyond the call of duty, to acquire what we wanted, to help us make the right decisions, to make sure that everything was absolutely perfect (example: there was a small scratch on one of the vanity drawers; we didn’t even notice it, but one of the guys working on the bathroom did, and they insisted it be replaced). We now have the best bathroom we’ve ever been in, better than anything in any bathroom magazine we’ve ever seen, better than any expensive hotel anywhere, and so very functional and beautiful. I would very, VERY strongly recommend Hobbs for your bathroom renovation. Honestly. Don’t bother going anywhere else. If you have any quirks or challenges or innovative ideas, I promise you Hobbs will do their very utmost to help you solve them. Although it is now months after it was finished, we still congratulate ourselves at least once a week for having chosen Hobbs to help us create our dream bathroom.

after 4 seperate quotes from different bathroom/ laundry suppliers I was still a little hesitant to go with Hobbs, as their qoute seemed the highest at face value- until you really dig into it and see what was included. as my wife said they won't have any hidden charges and you pay for quality, yep she was right of course. Our experience with Hobbs was seamless and extremely professional, form the young lady in the Springwood showroom, then Matt who fielded countless emails from ourselves in a calm and prompt manner. After we finally agreed on a layout, the advice from the stylist Hannah made it all worthwhile, she patiently helped us with some finer points and avoiding rookie mistakes. Shane the project manager led a very professional team of tradies and nothing was ever too much trouble- its the small finishes that make the difference. Cheers to the team, Dill, Dane, Ryan, Andrew, Dan sorry there were up to 6 tradies here each day and can't remember them all- but they were very professional, integrated with our daily activities and always cleaned, always very friendly. Have to mention Shane and his skylights- well done mate on a tricky build ( had to rebuild my roof) which no other crew would take on. Job came in on budget, on time and quality exceeded expectations

I’ve used Hobbs Group for over 10 years on multiple properties. They have provided maintenance repairs such as tap washer chances, tap reseating, toilet replacements, shower screen replacements, blocked drainage camera inspection and jetting to free storm water blockage to an investment property. They have also undertaken 2 bathroom renovations a powder room and laundry at our current home. They have also sheeted, cladded, provided new facia and guttering to our garage using Colorbond cladding which looks very smart! Over the years we have had a pleasant experience from Matt Hobbs (owner), Vince (supervisor we dealt with) and their crew. They always kept in contact and attended to any needs and questions in a very prompt manner. In terms of pricing they are definitely not the cheapest around but from personal experience they are worth every cent with the overall service and product they deliver. Our friends and family were blown away with the finish and design of our new bathrooms and powder room. The Hobbs team completed our newly renovated bathroom a few weeks ago and I can only concur with the positive comments I've read below. From my first meeting with Kylie to work on the design, then onto all the team headed by Ryan and Dan it's been a pleasure to deal with such an organised outfit. The guys kept things on schedule, as promised, and approached the job in a friendly, respectful and professional manner. Any issues, concerns or suggestions were discussed and resolved efficiently. The tiler, Paul, did an amazing job and everyone else worked hard to give us a beautiful, quality bathroom. Our property was left clean and in good condition when the job was completed. I was very impressed with the calibre of young tradesmen who worked in our home and would have no hesitation in calling on Hobbs again. Well mannered, helpful with planning, nice blokes, but their tradies/labourers let them down. Not much care taken. At the end of first day demo, we had to ask for the polished wood floors to be covered - bits of conctrete and concrete dust everywhere. Someone cut through the gyprock into the loungeroom wall, and nothing was said, we addressed that after 2 days of waiting to see if they would. Had issues with the concrete bed that was laid, tiling job was bad and he had to come back to fix things. At the end if the job when the water was turned on, there was a leak in the wall. We now have a large patch in our loungeroom wall. Luckily it was in the same place the wall had been cut through, so only one patch. They did offer to paint the patch, but, apart from the fact that there are three other walls that colour and we had no more paint, we didn't want any more problems, so asked them not to come back. Not the seamless wonderful reno experience I was hoping for.

We are very happy that we decided to chose Hobbs Bathrooms for our recent bathroom and laundry renovations. The whole process has been seamless. We had the main and ensuite bathrooms as well as the laundry completely renovated and it has been reassuring to feel confident about each step of the process. I feel that much of the success of the outcome is attributed to the time and effort put in by the team in design and selection stage - before any of the works began and the design even before we decided to go ahead. All the team on site were professional and respectful of our home, any issues that arose were communicated and managed well and I was confident the outcome would be excellent. And it is! I had my bathroom renovated by Hobbs in January 2021. Given that this was the first time I had done any sort of major renovation, I was quite anxious. However, everyone at Hobbs was very patient and they took the time to answer all my questions, some of which I imagine may have seemed quite silly to them. Rob explained the various steps of the process, from the design stage through to completion and everything happened when they told me it would; the tradies turned up on time and the job was finished within the predicted three-week timeframe. I was very impressed with how friendly and professional all of the tradies were. They did an excellent job of cleaning up at the end of each day and they cleaned my new bathroom beautifully when the renovation was complete. I would happily use Hobbs for any future renovation project and I highly recommend them to others.

We had a broken tile that we were worried about damage being caused. Contacted a few companies - Arthur from Hobbs made an appointment, arrived in time, was very thorough and gave us several options. We decided on a complete bathroom remodel - we really didn’t like the bathroom anyway so it wasn’t a hard sell at all. Hannah was very approachable with regards the “look” we were trying to achieve. We was a bit of a wait before the work could begin which was a little disappointing- but once the job started it took shape quickly. All the workers including contractors were very professional punctual and polite. Site managers - Vince and Shane - were always easy to get in touch with and no question was too stupid or request too petty. This is a professional outfit that takes the worry out of a large renovation project. We’ll be using them to do our kitchen.

The team at Hobbs are amazing. I'm time poor and needed a new bathroom and kitchen. They helped me design the renovations and were absolutely fine when I kept expanding the project to encompass the entire living room, bathroom, kitchen, laundry, floors windows, balconies, and more. In just 4 weeks they removed all the existing rooms (including some walls), installed an amazing new kitchen and bathroom, replaced the flooring, tiled the front and rear balconies, replaced all the windows, replaced all the lighting, and painted the entire house (inside and out). The quality of their work was faultless and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Extremely friendly and professional team as well. I will be using this company for any future renovations and cannot recommend them highly enough.

The level of service from Hobbs far exceeded my expectations- they even took the time to notify my neighbours about working on the road. I called around for quotes to connect sewer and water (from the opposite side of the street) and Hobbs were on site the next day. They were the only company to take the time to provide a detailed quote which included liaising with Council to obtain approvals to close and excavate the road. They notified the neighbours about the planned works- I don't think other companies would bother to do that. I was kept updated throughout the process as they worked through delays with Council and Sydney Water. They really went far beyond the level of service I expected- a great local company that I will happily use again.

We’d had Hobbs out previously for a plumbing issue. Expensive, but got the job done. This time however was a completely different experience. We called on tues re a septic tank issue. Admin was polite and able to get us a booking for the next day. No plumber arrived at the scheduled time of 1230. I rang them at 3pm, they apologised and said the plumber will be there in 5mins. He turned up and said “oh that’s a bigger job than I was expecting” and said he couldn’t do it there and then and that he’d have to speak to his boss. It’s Sunday-we still havent heard back. Pretty poor communication and a plumbing problem not fixed. Pretty poor effort for a company that is clearly expanding their work with a new showroom in Springwood. Disappointed.

Hobbs completely transformed my kitchen, laundry, and bathroom, and I feel like I live in a new house. The quality of the renovation was second to none - months later I'm still in awe of how thoughtfully designed and expertly executed the renovation was. And what a pleasure to work with the team! Throughout the process, every member of the team at Hobbs was fantastic. The team members really know their stuff, aren't afraid to shut down a poor design choice, and can make the most of the space and the budget! The handover between different contacts was seamless, and I enjoyed interacting with each of them. Nobody hesitated to go the extra mile. We recently had both bathrooms renovated by The Hobbs Group. What an amazing experience from beginning to end. The supervising staff and tradies were all so courteous and professional and they were so respectful of our home and our privacy and the quality of the work and inclusions is fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble even some on the spot changes we made during the installation. The Design Team listened to us and worked hard to make sure we ended up with the bathrooms we really wanted and we were never pressured into anything we didn't want. The comments we receive every time someone sees our bathrooms for the first time justifies our choice in using Hobbs. Could not be happier.

From the moment I talked to the office at Hobbs I knew I had made the right choice. Job booked, questions answered; nothing was a problem. Lucas the plumber turned up and he was just so professional, polite and smiling. Again nothing was a problem, all questions answered and the job completed. We had no hot water all of a sudden and I called Hobbs and spoke with Caitlin at reception who was very kind and quickly assured me she would have someone here within the hour. Sure enough, in about 20 minutes Tony had arrived. He was kind and courteous - he even took his work boots off to come inside as it was raining and muddy outside. He figured out the issue quickly and repaired it for a very reasonable price. He did a very professional clean job too. I would definitely recommend Hobbs. It was the first real plumbing issue we have had with our old house in 20+ years (surprisingly) so this was a really positive experience. Thanks again Tony!

I engaged Hobbs to do a main and an ensuite bathroom. The team did an amazing job over a 4 week period and finished the bathrooms to an exceptional finish. Whilst they may be slightly more expensive than others you will be greeted by a team of professional trades people who are always on-time, polite and leave the house clean each day. Since then I have used them for all other needs ( new hot water, new lights and switches etc. ). If you have a chance to work with Shane, Adrian, Tim, Carlos, Brian and the rest of the team you won’t regret the choice.

From my first phone call I found Hobbs team easy and pleasant to deal with. We received a full itemised quote so no hidden extras. The team transformed a very delapitated sunroom to a fully usable space with lockable doors and windows. The boys were happy to explain what they were doing and how things were being done and asking if we were happy with particular things they planned doing. Poor communication. Expensive with a big mark up on bathroom fittings. Very pleasant and hard working tradies but you had to watch the quality of the work. Watch out for being charged for “variations” which you may not have been aware of (despite it being a requisite for these to be discussed and signed off on). Pleased with the overall result but we had to work hard to get it. However, in the long run, it was a stressful and disappointing experience that we ended up paying too much for!

I recently had a full bathroom renovation completed by Hobbs. From design, to quote, to rip out, and at every stage of the install, everything happened just like Hobbs said it would. Hobbs delivered on time, on cost and on quality. My new bathroom is stunningly beautiful. My project was efficiently and effectively managed from start to finish. I’m completely satisfied with the result. If you have a renovation project you want completed with no mucking about, you want Hobbs on the job.

I've had a lovely plumber, Leigh, come to my home to tend to my plumbing issues twice (once for a blocked drain, once for a hot water heater). Both times I have been extremely impressed with his professionalism, responsiveness and punctuality. I've been overcharged by plumbers (from other companies) in the past, but the pricing of Hobbs Plumbing is very reasonable! I'll be using Hobbs Plumbing from now on. A huge thank you to Leigh and Hobbs Plumbing from one very happy customer!

Hobbs Bathrooms did their best to do our ensuite, great designer, great showroom but very limited attention to detail with not all their trades up to scratch. Quality control left up to the client and defects/ rework was fixed when it suited Hobbs. We had to battle to get the quality close to their showroom standard. I have used Hobbs plumbing for years with superior service but unfortunately I have been disappointed with the bathroom division of the brand.

Hobbs have just renovated our two bathrooms. Their staff were energetic, friendly and professional. The renovations were complete in 3 weeks as promised and throughout, the project manager kept us informed of how the project was going and the next steps. Used Hobbes for plumbing work over a number of years. They have resolved two emergency plumbing issues over public holiday weekends quickly. On one occaision we found a mistake in work done 3 years previous. This was resolved the next day with zero fuss. Yes mistake should have been avoided, but taking responsibility and resolving, even after so long has earnt my trust.

The quality of the install is top shelf and they even took the time to recommend solutions for charging my vehicle from the excess solar on my roof, providing the most efficient experience. My hot water system blew and I contacted Hobbs late Wednesday afternoon. Lee turned up on Thursday morning, very polite and a lovely man. He gave me a quote and explained everything to me and said he could have my new hot water system in for lunchtime that same day. I found Hobbs and their boys a pleasure to deal with and would recommend them highly.

We had our kitchen reno a few mths ago .. I could not fault their professionalism . All tradies were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them .. They all arrived punctually .. The whole reno was completed in the assigned time .. I am so very happy with our kitchen . And I’m seriously considering a laundry reno with Hobbs at a later date ..

Hobbs installed our wonderful new kitchen. We are really thrilled with the result! Rob’s design was spot on, making brilliant use of the space and resizing and reconfiguring previously impractical areas. There are always a few hiccups with such a big job, however, we were confident these guys could deliver-and they did! Thanks Vince and team.

It was important for repairs were done quickly, they made sure it was. Not only were they prompt but, also professional. At one stage there were five tradies on site, all well presented and personable. After the job was completed, there was no sign of them being here, every bit of rubbish had been removed. Responded in minutes to my text message and plumber was with us in less than an hour. Lyle was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. He fixed the immediate problem and quoted on a more permanent solution. That job was organised for a day the following week by 11am. Excellent service. Highly recommend.

The service was prompt. I rang in the morning and the plumber was here at 7 45 the next morning. Quoted and then did the work immediately. This was a quite involved re running of Taps in an old laundry Ray the plumber was extremely professional and the finished job is exactly what we were asking for

Ray arrived promptly and, working alone, completed the job of diverting the rainwater to the council gutter, in just a few hours. He was very professional and obviously a skilled tradesman. Hobbs Plumbing has been our go to company now for many years and we have always had excellent results

Sales fantastic, end result, not happy How could someone throw away a door and put a cheap on in replace and not let the owner know. Measurements was out of whack so could not put draw in . All fixtures aren’t straight Tiler did a brilliant job that’s all we were happy about

Hobbs were extremely thorough from the planning stage to the installation of my new kitchen, making suggestions/improvements that I hadn't considered. All the tradies did a great job with as little as disruption/mess as possible. The standard of finish was very high.

All the staff were prompt and polite. They had to battle through the rain to finish the job but were always there when it stopped raining. After finishing the main job we got them back to replace a cistern. Highly recommend to all in the area.

Our bathroom was recently transformed by the wonderful team at Hobbs. From start to finish the process was well communicated and made us feel at ease. Our bathroom is stunning and we can’t thank the Hobbs team enough for all they have done.

Work of gutter cleaning and installing new section of gutter guard was carried out with minimal mess and the tradesmen were pleasant. Too soon to tell whether new gutter guard works well. Price was quite expensive for the new gutter guard.

We paid $500 to have kitchen plans done that missed our dinning table in the main brief. We’d needed to pay another $1000 to get another attempt. Hence we didn’t go ahead but left very disappointed having spent $500 for nothing useful.
