I got 3 separate tins of paint mixed, all the same code to ensure the same colour. I painted the walls of a huge shop over the course of the weekend. When I went back on Monday morning the paint was all very noticeably different shades. Complete joke of a company! Do not use for mixed paint, they can’t be trusted!!!!

So frustrating to close at 6 and leave your hours as 7 on Google. Translation: Homebase saying "we don't respect our customers, we literally don't care if we mess you around and waste your time" Are you actively trying to guarantee your collapse into administration and disappearance from the high street?

Initially I had trouble finding help on the shop floor. Eventually a man who walks with a stick, despite his difficulty, followed me to what I needed and was able to give me all the help I needed. He seemed to do it because it’s his nature to be helpful and not just because he has to for his wage.

Around the 3rd time this month I’ve ordered and it being shown available when it’s not. Said to sales assistant the website needs to be updated as it says 4 available. With a response of ‘I just work here’ well who else am I supposed to speak to. Lost my patience, cancelled and hung up.

Good store with an excellent range but the only trolleys available are really heavy and the car park is on a slope. I had great difficulty stopping it veering towards the parked cars. Will only use for basket items in future. Shame - otherwise a decent store.

Went to click and collect an item. They gave me a completely different item but I had not received any communication that they had substituted it for another. I wouldn't have made the journey if they had. On the positive side I was served

I came here to pick up some lightbulbs and large doorbell batteries after a recent house move. The shop is well laid out and spacious . There is flat access for wheelchair users and those with mobility issues/buggies etc. The lightbulb

A reasonably well stocked homebase (I have seen some shocking ones in the past, so I was pleasantly surprised!) Good plants selection for the time of year (lots of reduces tomatoes and plenty of herbs, shrubs and perennials too) narrow

Good products hidden away in locked cabinets with incorrect prices and one person handling the queries for the key machine, click and collect , the tannoy to call for stuff to open the locked cabinet for the secatuers and don't get me

Timber cutting not available, despite saying it is on the website. This isn't obvious in the timber area, so had to track someone down and ask. Very difficult to find staff on the shop floor, feels like it's understaffed.

Do not buy indoor plants from home base. Wasted money on indoor Petra Croton plant followed directions dead in 2 weeks. Outdoor plants from here don't fare much better either and I have a green thumb

Came in here looking for a replacement tap, unfortunately their tap section was a complete mess and couldn't actually reach anything- just a few taps hung far too high up the wall to examine.

Grim experience. Perfectly friendly staff but travelled 45 mins to get a specific pot. The website said there were 9 of them in stock and when I got there, there were actually 0

Good size parking space but slope slots could be tricky especially if you are getting heavy stuff to load. Loads of stuff in store. Good amount of gardening items.

Lovely staff & amazing garden centre! The staff at this branch are amazing, knowledgable & happy to help. The outdoor garden centre is one of the best in the area.

Smaller store when compared with B&Q but still can get some of the essential things that are needed. The prices appeared a little higher (could not confirm though)

I ordered some paint for my fence via click and collect. When I drove to the store they had it ready for collection. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Free on-site parking,sell every thing for making your home and garden look good, staff helpful, security guard is a bit of alright ,brightens your day.

Something about the lighting and the layout of the place makes it feel like a pretty bleak place to go to but it does the job, more or less.
