Looking for someone to sell your home in Brisbane? Look no further than Martin Hood. Martin and his team sold our place early in 2020 and from start to finish his advice, work and contacts were faultless. We sold our property on auction day and at a great price. We came to know of Martin through Louise Hood and Karlene as property managers of our Carina Heights townhouse. Louise and her team had been recommended through a tradesperson and were impressed with their thorough, caring and professional work. So when we decided to sell the townhouse, Martin seemed the obvious choice to manage that process. What an inspired choice that turned out to be. Our remote selling (we are interstate) was made seamless by Martin’s excellent communication and attention to detail. Skype, phone calls and emails kept us in regular contact and updated on how everything was progressing. Nothing was too much trouble and his every recommendation was flawless. From the choice of auction, the auctioneer who was amazing, suggested updates and repairs, the stylist who made the property look stunning, the solicitor who made the process seamless and the photos and advertising package were superb. Throughout the process we knew we were dealing with a man of high integrity who always had our best interests at heart. The way Martin worked with the auctioneer on the day of the auction was fantastic. He was very sensitive to us and the potential buyers and left everyone pleased with the end result. If you are reading this review, you will note doubt be trying to some research on the team at ReMax Riverside. I work in the commercial real estate market and have met thousands of agents over the years. We selected Martin Hood on his ability to communicate and his non-bullshit approach. If you are to appoint a real estate agent, it needs to be one you can work with; one where you can have a honest discussion on price; and one where advice is provided when offers are presented (as often the highest offer can be subject to conditions precedent). Our property was a difficult one which was flood affected and tenanted. We selected Martin on his ability to have a frank conversation with us, his ability to liaise with the tenant, his patience with first home buyers, and being able to cut through the raft of bargain hunters and their low ball offers. We achieved a good result which was linked to our appointment of Martin. If you are doing research on other agents: 1. be careful of agent rating websites, when agents need to sign up and pay subscriptions in order to be listed and rated. 2. Another trap to watch out for when selecting an agent is when one says "I always get the highest price", as it is the market pricing the property not the agent. 3. Agents "buying the listing", and then spending the next 8 weeks bringing you down on price, and for you to find the market has passed you by. It should be noted that I usually don't post reviews and do not have a social media presence. I leave that to my teenage boys to do, and their profile images have come up on this review. This is the second property Martin Hood has sold for us, and we just cannot recommend him more highly. The first property was very unique, and a hard sell for us - because we adored living there, it just wasn't the right fit. Martin was very sensitive to this, and he understood right away the perfect approach to selling such a unique property. The sale was quick, and he worked SO hard for us to find the right buyer. His approach and team were super professional, the digital media they produced for the sale was immaculate. The price was way above our initial expectations. Our most recent sale was our investment apartment, and again an important place for us. Meg Hood was also on the team for this one, and her enthusiasm and ideas were perfect. Although it was an apartment and our first property was a house - the effort, time and professional gusto they put into the sale was the same. They gave us some good advice prior to renovating, and found the right buyer prior to auction for a record price for the area. They are full of integrity, without ego, and generally just wonderful people. If you are looking for an honest, lovely agent to sell your home - this is our recommendation!

Purchasing from Chris was a stress free and supportive experience. Recently the apartment I have resided in for five years was put on the market for sale. Excellent Communication and price attainment in record time. Our property was being managed by hood estate agents and we wanted to sell the property for financial reasons quickly before the EOFY. Martin's team got the plan together in less then 48 hours and the week after our property was listed on the market. We had an offer soon after the first open was scheduled and it was in the range we wanted to sell. Martin managed the commuication with the buyer and us quite well throughout the end. As we were interstate investors, Martin also helped out in suggesting legal representatives to work on closing the settlement, which saved us tons of time. The most responsive and attentive real estate I’ve ever rented through. My application was processed promptly with an extremely fast turnaround time. Professional and Efficient I found Martin to be professional, friendly and efficient, Martin did everything he said he would. Martin advised for staging and this ensured the outcome I was looking for from my very well prepared ex rental property. Martin never set unrealistic expectation, was honest and accurate.
