Completely unprofessional police officers who dismissed and minimised our concerns regarding trespassing breaches that occurred which the trespasser remained in the backyard for hours trespassing , called twice to request police to deter and identify the trespasser however received advise by the police officer “ did you ask him to leave , besides trespassing has he committed any other crime “ I couldn’t believe that these police officers could have such unprofessional attitude towards people’s safety ...I replied that the trespasser told us to be quiet when we approached him and we were concerned for our safety that we might provoke him if we were to approach him as we were rightly concerned about our safety , I can’t believe this is what our tax dollars are paying for , No police officer showed up and it’s been 4 hours and still counting ...with the number of negative reviews , I believe the community should rise to investigate the service that the Hornsby police staff are providing for the community !!! How dare they dismiss our safety and allow crimes to be committed without being held account for their actions ....shame on you Hornsby police station !

Have to agree with all the other negative reviews. No follow through, and when contacted again was spoken to dismissively. Unless a serious crime has been committed they don’t want to know about you and they treat you as if you’re a child that’s being difficult. My issue was with a neighbour harassing me, and and they didn’t follow through with what they said they were going to do, and asked if there were more incidences after I contacted them when I hadn’t heard back... I said no, as I was avoiding going into my front yard and not letting my dog out and they said to continue doing that. So basically yeah, I have to be a prisoner in my own home to avoid the psycho neighbor as the police don’t take my harassment issues seriously. NSW should take a good look at retraining these folks. You wonder why civilians take matters into their own hands, and then get into trouble when they do.

Absolutely condescending when you call in. They speak down to you. Have had two instances where this has happened and when you ask the question of why automatically you are spoken over and told not to raise your voice. I thought I had rung the local pub as they don’t identify themselves by stating Hornsby police, You get John speaking then when you question have you called Hornsby police they say yes like you have a problem when they failed to identify that you’ve called the police station, Don’t ask them to come out that’s met with we won’t be attending. It’s disgraceful behaviour and they wonder why nobody bothers to call them. But there happy for you to get a personal protective order because throwing a piece of paper at the criminal will work like it has for all the women who had one and have been murdered. Great job guys keep it up.

Wow. I saw the reviews and made assumptions about the people writing them - I was wrong. This police station has a severe attitude problem. I called to ask about an issue and whether or not it is a police matter. I don't have a problem with the answer I received as long as it is factually correct. It was the tone of the female Senior Constable I spoke to. You know that tone you use when your kid asks you the same thing for the millionth time? Your words may be on-topic but your tone of voice says FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I'VE ALREADY TOLD YOU ARE YOUR EARS ON CAN YOU HEAR ME NO WONDER I DRINK FROM 3pm!!!!?!? Not at all an appropriate way for a professional adult to speak to another professional adult. I am so glad this is not my local police station.

I'm really disappointed with THIS police department. First, many police officers make arbitrary judgments without knowing the regulations, resulting in serious consequences. Second, without informing me, I directly agreed with my ex-wife to go into my current house and take things I shouldn't have. I was so angry that I called back to this police station. However, the policewoman who answered the phone said that there was no record of polices coming to my home in their system. Then I told her that my ex-wife had taken my stuff, and she told me that my ex-wife had the right to come in and take it, which was really ridiculous. If I want to steal from my friend's house, can I just call the police and get it? It's ridiculous!

It's good to know when a woman goes to police with a fake statement from her mother, or a picture of a bleeding nose after picking an abscess they treat you like a criminal instantly. When you provide proof of a female breaking the law you're called once to say the investigation is on going, when coming up to a year later intimidate photos are still being distributed with texts of threats to do so! police have left it and most likely forgotten about it. CRIMES ACT 1900 - SECT 91Q 1 obtain intimate images without permission. 2 distribute Intimate images. 3 threaten to distribute intimate images. Is guilty of an offence. : Maximum penalty--100 penalty units or imprisonment for 3 years, or both.

Avoid like the plague, been trying to send off fingerprints overseas here for the last three weeks, calling almost everyday, each time rudely batted off with someone in custody or staffs away with little to no information. I have no clue how anyone in the region is able to get fingerprints. I have now missed immigration deadlines I write this after as a last resort went into the city, was given very detailed information by the helpful police staff in Surry hills on exactly what I need, where I can get those materials and when I can come in. the difference is night and day, cmon guys!

I have been twice to this station in the past week and met two courteous senior constables. Unfortunately, the one I met last week is away on vacation but the one I met this morning could have been at a bank or retail for the courtesy and attention to detail. She picked up very quickly from where it was left off and did an amazing job in terms of completing the process and stepping me through the process. Well done, Senior Constable S. Lewis and Senior Constable K. Bond. I look forward to them helping resolve my case judiciously.

Very disappointed at the response we got after calling in a neighbourly dispute. The female police officer told us we should "just ignore" our neighbour who was hosing at our open windows and yelling abuse over the fence at us for "disturbing the dogs". Did not even send anyone to investigate. Said that if it became a pattern, THEN we could apply for an AVO - did not help the situation at hand, nor prevent any possible escalation. What's the point of calling the police then?

We called police to Hornsby pluss fitness gym tonight as a man was being agressive and not going into further details but police arrived 15 minutes even tho we said they had already left when we called. After talking to those police more police turned up. Honestly is a great feeling having responsive police. I can't say the same about Eastwood police.... But that is another story.

Hornsby Police continue to serve our community with excellence, thank you. Such traumatic news from the Thornleigh Skate Park today, and a credit to the investiagting team to track down this predator so quickly.

  • Brad Starp

Got served tonight at the station by a charming officer. He helped me a lot and I left with my needs satisfied. I didn't get his name but he had a moustache and sleeve tattoos and an adorable smile

Hornsby police station has outstanding work and should be commended on their significant efforts. Special thanks to Josh for helping me with a huge misunderstanding. Thank you to Josh.

  • Chloe Woo

Similar to other reviews, been calling to organise fingerprint checks but was only met with unprofessionalism. Unhelpful staff and egregiously poor communication.

  • Keith Penfold

Many thanks to the officers who assisted in a difficult situation Tuesday. Great to see the professional way in which all officers carried out their duties

  • Chris low

Wins the award for the most incompetent, uncaring and unprofessional police station in NSW. Which is saying a lot as the competition is fierce.

  • jon b

Been waiting ages for one officer to charge me, says he’ll come one day, doesnt turn up and then the next day doesnt turn up. Jokers

  • Nima Faraji

Waited for about 10 minutes at the reception and while officers keep walking by none of them even bother asking why I was there.

  • Gem Fick

Called in to let them know about boys being nuisenses on the road, got a fantastic response from a constable.

  • Laura Barakauskas

Lies, makes false assumptions, causes stress and blames victims. "Loses" files, ruins strong cases ect
