May be frozen mostly but some of it is good value for money. Could use a few more times though and stop moving things around so much. More meat in ready meals less sauce would be good. Last ready meal I had from Iceland made me want to gip was Icelands own ready meal. Wouldn't buy uncooked meats from Icelands had a serious problem on one occasion and they refused to accept responsibility. Never bought uncooked meat again after that not for myself anyway have for other people. Not enough well known brands in store too many Icelands own which is not up to good standard, but if you want cheap food your not going to get excellent quality can't have both. Went to the shop today only to find entrance blocked off because there was few staff on tills and ques of people were mounting to be served. They need to get they're act together and maje sure adequate staff are on tills to get customers served.
Just like a previous comment ... The special offers they have on display magically don't happen at the till. They advertised 3 slimming world meals for £10 ( see the photo ) but when you get to the till you're charged the full price, When we pointed out the mistake the manager said the offer didn't apply to all meals ... Although this isn't mentioned on their numerous posters. So basically they're relying on customers just paying & not realising that they've been taken for a ride with false offers !!
I visited for the first time as previously ordered on line. At the till area the staff member was speaking to us customers in a abrupt manner telling us where to stand and queue. I fully understand due to Covid systems have changed but without customers shopping she is redundant. Also the other issue that annoyed me was if she was so up on covid procedure why was she wearing her face covering under her nose. Perhaps she should conform first before speaking to customers this way.
The choice of food stuff is wide and fairly affordable. The option between perishable stuff is also much about packaging. Bottled, tinned, plastic wrapping or boxed. It is easy on your pocket in some cases. Most of all, what you need for your kitchen is almost certainly in stock but try Home Bargains for price comparison.
To be honest I do all my shopping here. Frozen stock is amazing and varied. I love going for the curries and rice selections. If you get the chance to sign up for the Bonus Loyalty Card, then don't miss out. You could shop, save and accumulate enough money for a Christmas or Easter shop.
Occasionally nip into this store, lots of choice and great value for money. Often get the Iceland home delivery though. Free same/next day, always arrives promptly, never any items missing and hardly any ever substituted. Delivery drivers always really friendly too.
Always long queue at the 1 till! At least 20 people in queue the rest of the staff were out the back on their smoke break?! He rang his buzzer 3 times and it was ignored. Need to get their act together or they'll be going same way as wilkos
Rammed with old people - You know, the ones who have been told to STAY HOME. This shop has been flooded with old people since last March, you can't get past them in the aisles, takes 30 mins to queue up to get a jug of milk then queue up
great selection, good prices but lousy service. Long queue stretching right to back of shop, but only 2 cherckouts open. Iceland, there is plenty of competition in the centre, unless you up your game, the customers will go somewhere else.
Very good selection of frozen, fresh, cooked foods. Also fresh or tinned veg. Free delivery is available over £25 and is a service l have used many times without any problems. Only bugbear is not always enough staff on the tills at busy
We've used this branch since it opened, and for the most part it's ok. I would recommend customers check their receipts before leaving, as some of the special offers and discounts don't always make it onto the bill (this happens more
Local friendly staff. Seem to have stocks of everything. Not sure about delivery direct from the shop but I have ordered online pretty easy and maybe one item out of stock from 4 online shopping so not bad.
Great value only thing that.let that shop down in cross gates is the queueing why have 4 till and only 1 open you need two.on at least to.stop people leaving the because there fed of waiting to be served
Never shopped for frozen food in the past . Since I became ill I started shopping at Iceland and the food is very good quality at a low price . If I need frozen food I always shop at Iceland
Disgusting, in the middle of a pandemic and cages blocking every isle leaving ppl squeezing past each other. Could not see in freezers all blocked due to cages! Not covid prepared at all!!!
Great food at great prices. However no free parking is not good. Always great service . Well stocked and manned. Hate paying for parking . Even a quick 5 min visit is charged at 1.20.
I shop here weekly, the staff are nice enough. But I find it really rude that the staff have a full blown conversation with each other whilst serving customers at the till.
Very nice store plenty of choice and good value for money. I've only just one criticism which is the gueing area is too short between the end of the aisles and the checkout
Very good and cheap store ,selling fruit& Veg,(FRESH), only downfall is only one Opporater at the till, so if your in a tad of a Rush, This is,nt the store for anyone.
This shop has lots of nice things to buy. I wish I lived nearer as I would probably go in every week to buy something or possibly buy something and then freezer it
I bought the promotional deal of Turkey crown for £10 excellent value. Great place to shop also mc cain roasts with free roast tin was really good value at £2.
Needs more till staff as always big queues and people walk out leaving their shopping, so really Iceland is loosing money, and I carnt get my head around it..
Shocking! The 5 times I've shopped here ive spent over £150 and wanted delivery as I don't drive....not once has my groceries been correct or on time!
Love this store clearly priced well stocked shelves and fresh produce and dairy spend over £50 and they deliver free great store and staff
My family have been going to this store since it opened. The staff are friendly, the prices amazing and we highly recommend you visit.
Decent range of food but Often stuck in a queue at checkout some days staff seem in short supply …
Prices seem okay. Clean store and well laid out. Perhaps till service could be speeded up a touch.
Staff friendly and helpful, good range of products, clean tidy and easy to find what I required
It's opens on time and close late at 18:00 and used to sell 3litres of Pepsi two for £4.50
Massive queues, one on checkout. Left store without purchasing anything. Lifes too short.
Always super busy and cramped, store is poorly laid out and never enough staff on tills.
Polite and friendly staff Plenty of products to choose from and does free home delivery
Prices have increased whilst quality and quantity have decreased a lot
looking a bit drab these days , especially with Wilkinsons closing .
Got what we wanted. Staff efficient, fast and friendly
Great value for money and a excellent choice
Friendly staff freezers usually stocked up
Great prices friendly staff …
Affordable groceries nice staff
