They lack standard operating procedures to sort parcels. You have to wait while they hand-sort all the parcels to find yours from huge bags. Other than than, the staff are surprisingly friendly. Not the treatment you'd expect from a govt. office Make sure you go with: 1. either a hard or digital copy of your ID card 2. Text message showing the notification you received telling you your parcel had arrived. 3. Change (cash) between 200-2000; depending on the size of your item. They may charge nothing if it's really really tiny, something like an earring... Don't bother calling the number that you received text from, it's strictly used to notify customers that their parcel has arrived; they won't pick your call. The earlier you go pickup the better for you.

Like most government institutions in Nigeria, it is easy to tell that the workers here aren't entirely happy with their jobs. They are always very busy at this post office and so I know they take their jobs seriously. I think NIPOST needs to revamp work spaces and make it more conducive for workers. The furniture are old and not in keeping with modern standards. The room for storing parcels isn't equipped with shelves/storage containers, so most parcels lie on the floor in ugly sacks and the space looks generally untidy. When it rains heavily, most of car park and the entrance area gets flooded and you'd have to step into water when you get out of your car. Best not to visit when there is a downpour.

Make sure you save and call the number that called to tell you your package has arrived. So that when ever you want to go there, you'll call atleast an hour before so they can look for it with your tracking number and keep it close to save your time and energy. In case you'll be paying also ask for the exact amount because they don't offer POS transactions. Strictly CASH.

The Place was easy to Locate, but the staffs were not nice and didn’t have great attitudes, and also payments without adequate explanation, My Luggage was there for over a month and I didn’t even get any call. It was heart wrenching . There is a need to automate the activities there as it seems to be a cesspool for fraudulent activities.

Bad place to sort your packages - very much backwards in a paper based system plus staff are very rude and will deliberately waste your time. Ambiance is very dirty and hardly powered - all packages of all kinds can be seen on the floor as you walk in - almost like an old public secondary school reception.

They keep posting my parcel to the wrong post office and I told them the last time but they still make the same mistakes. They don't have any reachable number and they send texts without responding to requests sent back. They service is generally very poor.

They do not pick their calls. I live on the mainland and my parcel was sent to Ikota post office. I received a message to pick up my parcel within 3 days. I have called the number several times and no one picks. Extremely poor service

Not a fancy place where you get to chill inside an AC or get refreshed while you waiting for your parcel.... But their service is quite efficient and their staffs are very professional in how they go about their business

Had a package delivered there from china and only paid a token before my package was released, i had to present a valid ID card before i was given and everything was done within 10minutes, goods was in good condition

They were a bit poor in answering me and finding out where my parcel was kept. The place wasn't extremely organized but it wasn't terrible. They can upgrade their services and how they respond to their clients.

Very easy to locate the post office and also very efficient and helpful staff. Picking up my parcel happened way faster than I had expected.
