"Dez guys are the BEST"
The guy that helped me was extremely knowledgeable. Knew exactly what I was looking for. And even gave me some options about how to fix the camera monitor. I went there to pick up a component that the transformer plugs into. And he knew what I was looking for. Even gave me a few suggestions on how to fix the monitor. I was expecting to pay a good bit. And what I needed would have cost me a good amount. But instead I only paid just over $5.00 for what I needed. Awesome people. Definitely going to be there again.
I live in West Texas (San Angelo) and did not get disappointed by their stock. A lot of parts!!! Found 7-Segments displays and interfaced them very well my Arduinos UNO and NANO 33 IoT. Sure you can find parts online but the guys along with the parts are very accessible. GREAT Place to shop and deserve full support of the maker community. Many of the shoppers are old school Makers/Engineers/Technicians/Hobbyists which enjoy sharing their knowledges and ideas. 100% recommended.
Staff is very knowledgeable. I'm an electrical engineer and they are able to answer any questions I have had about components etc. They are very helpful when it comes to finding what you need. If they don't have it they will special order it for you, but that is probably rare as they have pretty much anything you could need when it comes to electrical projects. If you to buy in bulk this is definitely the place to go, WAY cheaper than Radio Shack! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
First of all the store is quite big with a huge selection of Electronics (unlike Radioshack with Phones and all). It ranges from electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, and the like, to measuring equipment ans educational kits such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. The people working there were attentive, asking if we needed any help and knowledgeable in what they were saying, helping me determine what best suited my needs.
Dez guys are the BEST. My go to man is Dave...I needed some really old parts for the Havana Radio Club and although lonnng discontinued they found modern replacements. Nothing too small for them to make and keep a satisfied customer... I have spread the work through the Ham Radio world... Minimum credit card sale is $10 and the work they do even for that makes it a pleasure to call them.
Unfortunately, the only store of its kind left in San Antonio. The good news is the guys are super knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Huge selection of capacitors, resistors, and diodes; audio cables and connectors; and something tools and accessories. Great prices. The only drawback: the hours. But it is well worth planning ahead / whatever you need to do to make it there.
I absolutely love this place. Nothing beats a brick and mortar electronic parts store that has fantastically competitive pricing. Whether I'm building a vacuum tube amp or my next embedded microprocessor project, they always have what I need. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff are always accommodating. Many times I go and I don't need anything....
Great place for your electronic parts, be it Amateur radio to commercial applications , you'll find what you need in one location. I've shopped Intertex for over 30 years and they've never disappointed me, sure beats having to wait for stuff in the mail . I live in Corpus Christi now and every time I'm in town I will take time to visit.
The guys here are helpful. Some of the components are a little pricier, but it helps that there's still a place that sells these kind of individual bits and pieces for Do-it-yourself hobbyists since Radio Smack shut their doors. I love the fact that you can get individual tubes of different sizes/colors of heat-shrink for dirt cheap.
I love this place. I have been going for years. It's a time warp back to when electronics were repairable, and when techs were thought to be rocket scientists. At intertex you can talk to someone that actually knows how the components work inside of electrical/electronic device and feel the really enjoy what their job.
Over the past couple of months, Michael has been very helpful with a couple of my projects. He was instrumental in making a project more robust with a suggested upgrade that I didn't even consider. My latest endeavor with Raspberry Pi would not have gotten off the ground without his help. Thanks!!!
These guys have what I'm looking for - arduino and raspberry pi hardware and parts for projects. Lots of hats and shields. Far more than anyplace else I've found in town. They need some more personable sales people. They seem to be much more comfortable with electricians than electronics nerds.
I needed two capacitors for my Samsung LCD TV. The Salesperson, Michael, helped me find some better capacitors and provided some very good technical advice. I will return to Intertex Electronics if I ever need anything for an electronic device that I'm going to repair myself.
These guys, are outstanding. I kind of wish they were open Saturdays so it's easier for me to get there, but hey they want to spend time at home too. If your kid has a science project, or if you're into hobby electronics, this place has everything you need and then some.
Awesome store, haven't been there for a few years though since they are not open on Saturdays... They have all the component needed for some really fun projects Would have given them 5 stars if they had been open on Saturdays... ;-)
They were very rude and had many snarky comments. Didn't show any interest in helping. Michael was the employee that "helped" me and showed me nothing but how annoyed he was to help me. Left with a very displeased experience.
Good, musicians, they have cables and tips to make instruments cables, from now on I will make my own for less, they also have microphone cables for less then what we pay in a Guitar Center and samash music store.
They have nearly anything you could want if you are looking for components. I needed to buy some Electrolytic Capacitors for fixing a friends HDTV power supply, they had them in stock and cheap.
Love the store, has almost all the components I need, and usually saves me lots of reasearching time when trying to find smaller components. Staff is very knowledgeable, have helped me tons!
Since Radio Shack is no more this is about the only place where you can buy specialty audio video equipment attachments wires adapters but only complaint is that they close fairly early
Great experience! Was able to help me plan out the repair project for the school mascot's cooling system and had great quality parts. Didn't upsell me, just recommended what was needed.
Great place for small electronic components. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If you have a small electronic part to find, this is the place in san antonio that would have it.
Cheaper than Radioshack and they got a lot more stuff. Only problem is if you want to pay with credit card you gotta spend more than $10 or $20, I don't recall the exact amount.
Seriously, how did I not know about this place. Amazon who? Like to support local businesses and found Intertex today. Super friendly, super helpful, have everything I need.
The selection for DIY electronics hobbyists is much better than Altex. Even though I dislike the hours, I still spend a lunch break every week or two to shop here.
They are the only place to shop for electronic and electromechanical parts in San Antonio. If you need an electronic component today, they are your best chance.
This is a great place eo get your parents and supplies for electronic. Friendly and knowledgeable staff who go out of there way to help you get what you need.
I really love having an electronics parts store in town. They seem to have everything I need or can help me with a substitution. Staff is always very helpful.
Great service and great parts inventory... as always. Lots of flashlights, tools, electronic parts & components, and lots of gift ideas too. Love this place.
Went there a few years ago for capacitors to repair a TV. Only place I know has this kind of stuff. Took my son so he can watch and learn . Stop by!
They always have the coolest staff and an awesome selection of vintage to modern electronics/electrical parts, tools and equipment.
Best place in S.A. for your electronic hobby needs. The people are great and they have a large inventory to choose from.
I drove around the city looking for a particular part. No one had it but, this place did. Excellent service as well.
Got everything I needed to install a standard phone line and a Uhf/Vhf antenna. (Yeah.... I know Old school)
This place is great, David was helpful and quick. This is the place to go to for all electronic components
Found a fan that no one else in town had. Guys were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back
Over 9 bucks for 5 small resistors... 1.92 each for the half watt ones and 85 cents for the 1 watt .
Great place. So many parts. Just about anything you would need for diy circuits is there.
Very helpful and have all sorts of electrical parts even STEM kits great pricing!
Always great service. Super knowledgeable team.
