Poor experience here today. I had used the online delivery system to purchase a wireless charging pad for my phone as a last-ditch attempt to turn it on before COB (6pm), after the charging port suddenly stopped working. I opted for the $10 express delivery option (delivered within 90 minutes). After waiting for well over an hour with the order still reading 'Processing' online, I contacted live chat digitally and was told that the team at Brunswick would contact me with an update via email. I did not receive any communication from them from this point, and decided to take matters into my own hands and go into the store myself to pick up the item, something I had to change my plans around to do. When I arrived, a staff member behind the counter was rude and dismissive, saying that the order was probably already with a delivery driver without asking me any questions about what had happened. Thankfully they had the item in stock, but there was no offer to waive the $10 delivery fee or any apology given for not contacting me about my order. I think this situation could've been handled with better communication from JB Hi-Fi.

Rude customer service: I called the Brunswick store to check the best price for a product worth over thousand - as I wanted to get the exact amount of gift voucher. A lady answered the call and transferred me to sales. After waiting for 10+ minutes, call went back to lady and she asked what I wanted. Once explained, she sounded irritated and said "We don't do deals over that phone. You have to come to the store. IT IS THAT SIMPLE"!!! . While I politely thanked her, she hung up. I have been your long term customer and your Werribee store did deal over the phone in the past. Plus during this COVID period, I don't think it is okay to ask you customers come to the store just to know what the best price you can offer. This is unacceptable level of customer service. I hope the staff can be trained and JB can consider their inconsistent policy of talking about the deal over the phone / online - rather than asking people to come to the store. I look forward to a better customer service. Thanks.

AVOID! Worst customer service. Why would a staff member be so rude to someone attempting to buy a TV? It just doesn't make any sense. Seriously the attitude on some of these people should be studied, it was so overblown, and so rude I was astounded. Again, I wanted one item. One staff member in a green spotted shirt and denim skirt said she would get someone, then literally just walked off and did nothing. Um thanks lady! I'm sure you will be really successful in everything that you do! One star is for the young woman at the counter who seemed to be the only person in the store with the self-respect to treat others like human beings. There are a lot of stores in the area so exercise some self care and shop somewhere else.

I brought a cygnett car charger 5 weeks ago. At the time I said to the store assistant that I hate cygnet because they are terrible quality, he checked out the back for the more expensive brand of the same type of wireless car charger but they didn't have any and I was needing it that day. Fast forward 5 weeks and the cygnet one broke. I went in and the woman who helped me was amazing. I explained what happened, she grabbed the expensive one that I was originally going to get and reassured me that she hasn't had to return any of that brand and swapped it over at the same price of the cygnet. I was extremely impressed with her customer service, and will definitely be going back there.

Uncompetitive prices and unfriendly staff. JB Hi-Fi Brunswick, what is going on with your price match policies?! I came in today to buy a chromecast. It was more expensive than it was at Kmart right next door had it for but I thought I would support you instead. I asked the cashier if you price matched but she refused to match it to the listed price on the website because it didn’t include shipping. If I wanted shipping I wouldn’t have come out. I ended up just going to Kmart after the passive aggressive JB staff made me feel like an idiot for not understanding the logic in there policy. The store needs better policy, you lost a customer and sale.

Well I'm seriously impressed with sales guy Ben at Barkly Square. I rang the store from across the country, I'm in Perth, to enquire about purchasing an Air Fryer for my son who recently moved to Thornbury. Ben was so helpful, confirmed he had the 'Ninja Deluxe' in stock, sent a link to buy, to my phone, I paid by CC and Ben confirmed delivery, for an extra $10.99, would be WITHIN 90 MINUTES. It arrived by the time I'd finished a phone call to my delighted son. Excellent service from start to finish. Ben has the sales X factor, highly efficient, pleasant and professional. Nice job guys

It’s located inside Barkley square, parking is available on the road and at the parking area inside. The store is busy at all times. The staff seems very busy handling shoppers. Pick-up order is available online. Lots of gadgets available. Please make sure to tell them to send the invoice via Gmail so that if you may want to return it'll be easy to find the receipt . I feel the staff should be more supportive and kind to the customers who don't have any idea about the stuff they are to buy by understanding their needs and wants and listening to them patiently.

On two separate occasions I have dropped into this store to get a specific item I required. I found a display box for the item, have taken it to the counter and waited in line and then for someone to search for the item only to then, after waiting 10 minutes, to find the store was out of stock. If they were to put a note on the shelf I could have immediately jumped online and ordered the out of stock item but instead the store chooses to waste my time. What is the point of a local store if it’s less convenient and takes longer to supply items?

3/7/20. I was needing to buy a TV and yet again, after 7months of making a previous purchase, I was greeted by professional and pleasant young man by the name of Alistair. Service was BRILLIANT! Alistair was very knowledgeable and very helpful in this time of COVID19. Helped me with a nice price and was a delight to deal with. EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! I will be back again. Thank you Alistair!! Sammy and Peta were excellent customer service officers. I've been shopping there for years, but today was an awesome experience! Thank you Sammy and Peta.

Convenient location, staff are super helpful and products are as advertised. I did have a problem with accessing the internet while at the shop. For some reason, I had to step out of the shop to get online and find out what product model I was wanting to get before going to the shop. Not sure if there was a jammer that was messing with the network in the shop or there’s too many products online to interfere, anyway - it was weird. Otherwise, great location for electronics pickup.

This is my local jb. Some times can be a little hit and miss if you need staff help but I went in yesterday to buy a new phone for my daughter and was lucky to be served by Dillon, who was sensational. Very quick with the paperwork; knew the product well; answered all my lame questions. I went in on Sunday for a new laptop. I didn't get the name of the guy helping me but he was totally across it and had great recommendations. After helping me find a laptop i wanted, it unfortunately wasn't in stock and I had to head to another JB in the city. I did feel bad because he was genuinely very helpful and I wanted him to get his commission for the sale (im assuming thats how it works) but this review will have to do. I’ll definitely be back again.

Bit disappointed at what seemed a blatant attempt to upsell a product or perhaps just laziness. Asked for a tablet that was on display, was told by sales person that he had looked for stock out the back and couldn’t find it, and immediately tried to sell a diff one that was more expensive. I could see online that there was stock and went to register and asked for product which was located and purchased within a couple of minutes. Just not a good look.

Staff wasn't that helpful. We asked for a product and there wasn't any left there. We requested if its possible to look for the same product in another store so that we can go there and buy it. Don't know whether she actually looked it up or not. Said no this stock isn't available anywhere at the moment. We really wanted it so we called another closest store and they had it in store! The staff wasn't that rude but wasn't polite too. Idk how to put it.

Why is there customer service so bad?!?! Good products but I ended up leaving after waiting 20 mins for help from a sales person. The 'special contracted sales guy' at the front door sent 3 messages to staff to get a sales person to come and help me. I was all ready to buy a phone!!!!!!! I eventually left in frustration. (Edit after reading another review: yeah the guy at the door had long black he was great. Shame about the rest of the team.)

Card system was down. Whilst waiting for assistance, one customer was ignored by staff (she was pretty much yelling for help). At the counter, I saw one teller being rude to another customer and my own experience with staff wasn't amazing either. The staff member with the long hair though who helped me out on the floor, shout out to him, dude was awesome. This review isn't about you buddy, your work mates just suck at customer service.

5 stars based on the impeccable service we just received by your sales rep Denby. We came in to buy a cheap tablet purely for streaming Netflix, Denby was very knowledgeable and friendly and went above and beyond to serve us. We ended up talking about televisions and upon his recommendation, purchased a new 65" LG tv as well! I wish there was a staff member of the year award because Denby would have our vote!

Very poor service, very poor attention to detail and not customer centric at all. Staff couldn't look more unenthusiastic if they tried. Spoke to the manager who only confirmed my comments above. If management are apathetic , this only filters to all the staff. I suggest a new manager is required who gets the basics of retail and customer service. Brunswick jb hifi is a very poor customer experience.

I just wanna say a big shout out to Lu! Lu helped me so much when I enquired about a new Samsung Flip phone. She showed me all the ways I could get a discount including trading in my old phone and switching to Telstra. She was so helpful with setting up my new phone and helping me grab all of the other appliances I needed for it. Incredibly knowledgeable, speedy and lovely! Thank you so much :)

Very disappointed with the state of my online order. Purchased a Nintendo switch lite, 2 games and a protection kit for my son's birthday. When I opened the parcel one of the games was already opened. The protection kit box torn open very badly. Not what you expect when you purchase something to that expense. And definitely not happy to give my son items that are already open for his birthday.

I'd visit another tech store. Low stock on everything. It looks like it should be shut down or moved - not a great feel. It's disorganized and difficult to find what you need. Some staff are nice, but others are not so much. They are not really willing and or able to help, so that sucks. If you have to go to a JB Hi-Fi, then it's fine (if you live close by), otherwise, find another one.

I find the staff to be very friendly and helpful here. Good selection of movies. I like how they have made a 'cult movie' section, in addition to separate horror, classic and world movies ones. Haven't seen an example of this at any of the other stores that I can remember anyway. They could expand a bit more on the world movies, however, as it is a bit sparse. But overall a good store.

This is my local and usually i find staff so helpful but I was served by the rudest lady yesterday- dark haired middle aged. I understand we all have bad days but this was next level. Threw the receipt at me and all on the phone while serving- just so rude!!!!! On the plus side the young security at the door is so bubbly and welcoming a true asset to the store. (5 stars for him!)

I only shop at this store when they have what I need that's not in stock closer to me however today I just found the lady on the register with black hair unacceptably rude. She was very short with me at the register and then chucked the receipt towards me instead of handing it to me. Normally the staff are super friendly and helpful but this lady put a bad taste in my mouth.

Tried to sign up to telstra mobile plan. Was told it would take 10min for my number to port before I could have my vouchers, I wait 1 hour still isn't done. Ask if I can cancel it, nope can't cancel it, if I can't cancel it then why can't I have the vouchers? Can't have vouchers till its confirmed. Have left and currently arguing with telstra about cancelling the port

Hey, it's true, and it only happens when people are valued and treated well in their workplace. So well done everone,, no wonder this store is such a cherished local favourite.

A great range of products at fairly competitive prices. The staff are helpful but are often overwhelmed by waves of customers with a lot of questions. Overall a good shopping experience. But I recommend doing some online research of the product you're interested in before visiting the store. This will save you a potentially long wait for service.

Unhelpful staff. Wanted to try smart watches on and see how they look on my wrist and this guy Joseph was dismissing us and saying we are not a watch store! What the H! Why are you selling them then! He became defensive when we asked him why. How come the customer service went downhill since our last visit? We had a good experience before.

I love all JB stores, bit this store in particular I think is a secret little favourite hot spot of mine. The staff are so friendly and courteous and will always do their best to make sure their customers are satisfied. Great range of action figures, movies, music and loads of other appliances. A must visit shop while in Brunswick.

First time coming here as I was smoking for a particular item that had sold out elsewhere. I initially called (prior to picking up the item), and the staff was very helpful and assisted in finding the item for me. They held it for me until I was able to pick it up, and it was a relatively easy transaction. Highly recommended

I think this is one of the better JB HiFis. I have bought several phones and other accessories here and staff are always quick to find you and help you out. I'm not a tech whiz at all, and they don't make me feel bad about it, as they take the time to nicely explain differences in phones and gadgets etc.
