Terrible customer service - they do not value a customer's time, even when a product is within warranty. Nokia 7.1 purchased outright 14/12/2018. Phone stopped charging consistently in 2020. Would only charge 50% of the time. Tried with multiple charges/cables with same result. Bought back to Camberwell store approximately March (case number 5291987). Repairer replaced motherboard? Two months later, same issue. Brought back (case number 5388456) and specifically outlined that the charging port needed to be looked at. Came back from the repairer without any paperwork, so I don't know what he had been done. Two months later, same issue. Third time back at JB. Little frustrated now. Spoke to the manager, who magically was able to charge the phone out the back. Will send it off for assessment if he deems the phone to be functional. At this point, after being back twice for repair, I have little confidence in their chosen repairer. ETA given for me is up to 4 weeks, which is simply too long. Will escalate to ACCC/Consumer Affairs if I'm not giving a full refund. Will not buy Nokia again. Will now shop at Officeworks. Not recommended.

Bought a TV priced at $1,095 and asked them to match Appliance Central price $970 (incl delivery). Instead of matching the price, we were convinced to buy a $429 soundbar at an attractive reduced price $299. We thought we got a good deal but upon coming home and search internet, we found $299 is a normal promo price at JB hi-fi. So they didn't match price for us and manage to upsell us without us realising it. Not happy! The TV we bought also has display issues (no pictures at the right bottom corner and horizontal & vertical lines). Still anxiously waiting to see how this can be rectified tomorrow. Hope this can go smoothly. Staff were friendly although had to wait long time in store to get help. The two star rating is because of no price match and packaged upselling as if it's special price when it's normal JB hi-fi online promo price. We were unaware because prices in the shop only showed normal price, no promo price shown in-store at all. Update: the faulty TV and unwanted soundbar were now returned with full refund. The staff was friendly and accommodating. So I'm giving one more star.

Fantastic experience. This store is roomy and not overcrowded. Lots of walking spaces. All the major brands of smartphones are on display. It is very easy to find what you want and compare with other brands. The best layout of JB Hi-Fi stores that I have visited so far. Also most of the fashionable electronics included smart watches, computers, iPads and smart TV's can be found in this store. There are many DVDs/Blurays and CDs to browse. Shop assistants are friendly and helpful. They even apologized if you wait for a few minutes. So courteous. They try their best to look for what you want. I bought the beautiful Huawei Mate20 Pro Mid-night Blue and its flip open wallet cover. There is a promotional offer of $200 off the sale price of the phone plus free smart watch worth of $399. They are many other bargains to look for. There are more than 1000 parking spots around JB Hi-Fi in Camberwell Place. Highly recommend to shop in JB Hi-Fi Camberwell.

Went there last night to buy a blu ray player and wanted them to price match big w. Had the most arrogant and difficult sales rep at JB Camberwell. He was older and worked near the TV area and was just being difficult and a really unpleasant. He first said he can't price match as Big W get some discount and jb don't and then when I asked him so JB Hi-Fi don't match big w he back tracked. Then when I showed him the big w price on their website he then goes we will only match that price plus delivery charge and then when I told him it was an in store price he goes that I have to call big w and confirm that it was in stock before he could match. This was 5 mins of him just being difficult. I have been a regular customer at this shop but no more. I left in disgust and drove to a big w half an hour away and bought it there. Way to go jb Hi-Fi get rid of that miserable arrogant sales rep. What a bad experience.

-10 star for service. I just bought Hisense tv 50" yesterday staff quite o.k. But when we arrived home after set up and plug on I found the screen was crack inside. I just came back and ask staff what we can do( l'm not sure that our fault or something wrong from factory)Also they ask us to bring it back. After I told them that we already break the box coz we don't think that bad thing happen with us. But it not my point because we just waiting them to help us find the best solution. But today some of friend just come to the shop and heard something one of staff told the customer that don't transport by trolley like dude person on yesterday. I just know that this is the way how to treat customer by JB hifi staff at camberwell it's Sooo Rude. I'll told everyone I know don't deal business with them. VERY RUDE.....RUDE JB hifi have to training staff that If you don't know someone well don't call them dude

Don't buy Apple products from JB hi fi. Poor after sales service. Buy directly from apple. Ask apple to price match with JB hi fi. Once you buy a product from Jb hi fi you are stuck with it. I had issues with my brand new MacBook Pro with touch bar. Had to take it to apple to get checked (why bother buying from JB Hi fi if you need to take it back to apple). Apple said that they would have given me full refund in case I wasn't happy with the product provided I had bought from them directly. JB hi fi refused to do anything despite the fact they could see my battery % jumping up and down in front of them. Their excuse was , I had too many applications open like outlook and chrome. According to them I should just use one application at a time like safari. I would have been much better of buying a $500 laptop instead of $3000 one.

WOW! When did this store become so terrible! It used to be my favorite, asked for assistance with a resopnse stand over there and wait where all flat out mate, after no one attending me for quite some time I made my own choice and waited in line for payment when I got to the front of the listen the two girls where having an argument with each other looked at me and continued talking to each other I asked could I just pay and leave one lady snatched my item said well its 49 dollars while the other was huffing to herself about her customer saying customer change there mind didnt they means more work for me! I was then quickly shoved along with a move on then...sorry for all the inconvenience there staffing lately has been terrible! Won't be back again.

I went to the Store and I had a chat with the Branch manager Mr Lucas, I must say that the guy is way much cool, smart, sensible so much kind and helpful completely down to earth. Being stuck with Telstra plan and their fake billing strategy to charge customers thousands of $$ only for calls even after adding the unlimited 10$ pack in the postpaid plan. I am stuck in the contract and plan but Lucas actually send the report and tried his best. Being an international graduate student its very hard to meet the expenses when you get 917$ bill for calls that can easily give you panic attacks and you will fall in stress suffering from anxiety easily. Thanks Lucas my man once again. Hope so it will fix soon and wanna end with the contract .

I will never buy from JB HI-FI Camberwell during lockdown their click and collect process was so painful, they haven't put a store phone number there and there is no phone coverage in there so I an search for it online, instead of giving me the click and collect phone number the rude employee told me you can find it online! I had to go down stairs so there I can search and make a phone call here starts the funny thing after making the call they told me you have to be in parking bay for collection we can't process your click and collect when you are a floor below, so I went up and the phone call was cut out due to lack of coverage had to wait there for 15 minutes till someone show up and show the order number to them so embarrassing!

Great little shop on the top level at the Camberwell shopping centre. Great range of electronics and huge range of dvds from tv series to movies old and new also including an extensive music collection cds and dvds. Bargain bins often have discounted movie dvds. Jb often have sales and promotions on various products from tvs, laptops, audio and other electronic technology devices. staff are available to assist you if you need advice or to ask any questions about products. Shopping centre parking can be quite hectic at peak period times but generally parking quite easy to find and many other shops in the immediate area from liquor stores to cafes, coles supermarket and butcher. Service from staff is generally quite good.

Patrick who works at the camberwell store is a Gem to be honest. Such a great personality and very helpful when I needed to swap my headphones as I had the wrong colour. He didn’t even hesitate a second to do that for me even though it’s not necessarily has to be done according to their policy. He valued my need as a customer and made my day extremely happy. That’s why I always buy my electronics at jbhifi as the staff members are always helpful. But this guy I have to say is the most pleasant and down to earth team member a customer could ever look for to get helped. Also the assistant who served me at the register was a very friendly person and she was very cheerful too. Thanks again patrick. Good on you mate

**** LOCAL GUIDE, LEVEL SIX LET'S SMASH IT *** These are reviews you can back a slab on, these are honest and truthful reviews. I have never been in the store I will say that but I am a market researcher and mystery shopper so I have called this store twice and found the information to be far from desirable to be honest with you. Ring on a Friday night around 8pm wait 30 minutes for staff member in cameras to run a SKU check, so counter staff could have helped me yes I can check it but I cant leave the counter!! - For real guys? Today I ring and speak to computers, they countered everything another SM told me and basically referred to the other stores manager as talking BS.

I want to publicly thank Ash, the store manager for exercising his managerial discretion to honour an expired deal after taking into account my unique circumstances. All too often businesses are no longer flexible nor even have humans for customers to deal with, typically when dealing with telcos, utilities and online shopping. Actions like Ash's are always appreciated by customers and reduces the stress of shopping. Hence why JB Hi-fi is a retail success story with its great customer care, which ultimately wins loyal customers like me and continue to beat the online shopping competitors. We just bought our QLED TV and had it installed yesterday only to find a big smudge that we couldn’t clean off! Went into the Camberwell store today to see if they could help and was greeted by the manager (I think). He And another friendly staff member recommended a screen cleaner and how to look after the TV, then he just offered to give me the cleaner for free given we had it installed and wall-mounted via their services as well. Have to say, I’m not usually surprised by great customer service as it’s rare these days, but I was really impressed with the genuine care and generosity. Will be buying all my electronics from JB from now on.

Rung up with a query about TVs and got friendly and helpful assistance immediately (unlike a major competitor where you are made to go through an annoying automated system first). In store experience was also very positive (although it took a while to hunt down a free staff member). We were helped by Aiden who was friendly, patient and clearly knew the products. He spent over an hour answering our questions and showing us the different options. I am not normally moved to write reviews but I felt the excellent service from the staff at this particular JB deserved one! With any luck, the product we bought will also deserve 5 stars...

Terrible customer service and stupid staffs. Collect orders for my brother and showed them brother’s ID , my ID and ready to pick up emails. However, the young man told me my brother needs to send them email first. But before I went to store my brother already contacted the online team. The stupid staff said he cannot see any record. Then my brother emailed them three times. After 40 minutes wait they said they still not receive any email from my brother. Then my brother contacted the online team finally the stupid guy gave me my brother’s orders. It’s really disaster at this store. The most worst store at melbourne.

Was served by Hayley shortly before going into lockdown and I cannot commend her more highly. Her customer service was impeccable. Came in to look for TVs and she really went above and beyond. She helped me find an alternative when my desired model was sold out. She helped us to ensure the safe transport of a floor model, rather than have to wait for delivery. She clearly demonstrated her knowledge and expertise in the field and, moreover, did everything she could to ensure a positive customer experience. She deserves some level on commendation at a company level and is an amazing asset to your team.

Because it is not the first time it happened, I'd like to mention that staff member James really couldn't care less about customer service. Leaning against one of the product counters, legs and arms crossed and talking to me sideways when asked to see a pair of headphones that is not on display. I still don't believe that you are unable to show a different model which was the last point one my list before buying the headphones. James' body language and his way of speaking to me were highly unprofessional and repellent. I'll be happily taking my money to a different store.

I went in on Sunday morning, and asked to buy an iPhone. The staff were so unhelpful, and when they did not have the colour i wanted in stock, did not offer to help by calling other stores. Once i purchased the phone, did not assist in helping me find an appropriate phone cover. Instead I had to stand in the store helpless for 15 minutes, after asking three employees for assistance. I would think spending over $1000 in a purchase would be worth good customer service, but apparently was still not enough to justify attentive assistance.

This is a large JB Hi-Fi outlet compared to the city, with a great product range and friendly staff, they often don't have enough staff in busy periods which can add to wait times, but overall they know their products and can advise quite well. They are also willing to do their best to compete with prices from other stores if the evidence is presented, so they are always well worth a visit when for perhaps only a few dollars more you can get the same item you may have to wait a month for off eBay.

The staff at this store are inattentive and uninspired. I’m usually very impressed with JB staff, being proactive, knowledgeable and helpful. I approached a group of 4-5 staff standing around talking. I had to wait for them for finish their conversation before they assisted me. By “assistance” I mean pointing in the general direction. Finally, during the payment process, I again felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there... not the end of the world, but definitely not what I expected.

Shoutout to Ed. What an absolute legend. 10/10 customer service. Have been trying to source a very rare limited edition steelbook that’s almost impossible to source retail. After hunting down the others at various Jb hi fi stores, no one was really willing to source the one I was missing. Lucky Ed took my phone call and looked into getting one shipped in from interstate (only a couple left in Australia). Had it organised within 20 minutes. Cheers Ed and give this man a pay rise!

Bought some Nanoleaf lights a few weeks ago, the staff were very busy and probably weren't focusing on the customer satisfaction aspect as much as they were under the pump, but after I got through the long queue and asked my queries, they assisted me promptly and professionally and I made my purchase with a minimum of fuss, pretty much what you would hope for with JB, prices were competitive and the guy at the door ensured everyone checked in for the tracker. JB Hi-Fi is inside the Camberwell Place Shopping Centre on the lowest level all by itself. Easiest access is via the underground car park, especially if you are buying larger items. Normal range of products, well laid out and brightly lit with clear price labels. Sales people were there without being a nuisance, letting us browse the items we were interested in. It's worth haggling a bit and definetly worth price checking with competitors as they'll price match.

I believe I was served by a lovely gentleman named Pat today (I am terrible with names so it may have been someone else!!!) - exceptional customer service considering I was coming in to return a faulty item and exchange it for a different item! The item I did want was not in stock - I was offered a refund no questions asked. Came by to look for a phone to replace my ageing Xperia 2 series. The salespeople were very helpful and really did their best to guide me through the consideration and buying process. My only complaint is that they could have slowed things down for me a little - I'm not really a technologically minded person and some of what they were saying really went over my head. Otherwise, I was well-taken-care-of and I had an educational experience besides.

We want to buy general tv controller and battery. We also showed tv controller photos to one stuff. He had long black hair. He asked us to buy AA battery and one Tv controler. When we are back home. Battery are wrong size and tv controller is not working either due to wrong brand. Waste our time and how can he guide us to buy everything wrong. If he didn't has knowledge about the product, he should be trained.

I walked into the store overwhelmed with all the options for my nine year old grandson's birthday but I was assisted by a lovely young man named Jesse who kindly directed me to some X BOX games that my grandson may like . Really can't wait for Amazon to pick up in Australia so it can teach these retail stores a lesson about customer service. Went to the store to purchase a TV. Their price is $795 but on Bing Lee’s website it’s only $595 so I asked the staff for a price match. After speaking to his manager, the staff said the best they could do is $735. After leaving the store, I called JB Hifi and was transferred to another JB Hifi store. The staff sent me a link for $595 straight away. Don’t waste your time going to Camberwell Jbhifi.

Bree in the phone section was awesome to deal with. Went to Telstra Camberwell and didn't feel the love. Went to JB Hifi and ended up buying two new phones and got an amazing deal through Bree. Just when you thought she couldn't do any better she would find little bits and pieces to make the deal better and the experience even better. Thanks Bree and the team at Camberwell JB!

Seriously the worst customer service of any retail store i've ever been in. Every time I visit i'm disappointed. Staff talk to each other like they're in a bar and you feel invisible. When you finally get someone to "help" you they're always extremely disinterested and condescending. Maybe being a total douche is a specific requirement for being employed here.

I have shopped at a number of JB Hi Fi stores and have found this particular store to be one of the better ones. It is well laid out and, as you'll see from the photos I've added here, it has an impressive range of products, you name it, it's got it. Terrible service! I went to the store to get a TCL TV on Thursday. I paid the bill with the delivery, the sales told me he arranged the delivery on Saturday. Then I wait until late afternoon on Saturday, on one coming. I called to this store and someone told me they did not arrange any delivery. And I need to wait another weekend to get my TV!

Great service from STU at the Camberwell store dealing with an online shopping cart bug. Quick, competent and friendly. Another excellent Jb Hi-Fi Ambassador. Adele and Maddie serving at the counter were fantastic. Floor staff were short staffed, I couldn’t get anyone to help me so I inadvertently purchased the incorrect product, when I returned goods to swap over Maddie went above and beyond to help me, outstanding service, thank you Maddie. The service is not great. My delivery install was to take place between 1-5pm but the crew arrived at 630pm and, because it was there last job, rushed the install and where pretty sloppy about their work. The service in store is also poor, you can be left waiting for ages waiting for someone who actually knows what they are doing.

Great joint. Really good parking the the well carpark. Multistorey. Check prices online before you buy since there has been times when the online price is cheaper that the ticket in the shop. Hard for staff to keep chasing the change on price but worth a quick look online. At least you don't have to wait for delivery

Staff at JB Camberwell a knowledgeable and helpful. Within each area the store it seems there is a technical expert on hand to answer most questions. Store layout remains consistent with the other stores and is cluttered and difficult to navigate but staff make up for this with good advice and reasonable pricing.

I bought a monitor and a cable adapter (HDMI-mini display port). Arrived home, it did not work. I went back to the shop and the sales staff helped me check if the adapter (or my computer) was faulty within a few minutes. The adapter was found to be faulty and JB Hifi replaced it on the spot. Great service!

I try to return a pair of Bose headphones which I bought from JB Hi-Fi that did not work properly. JB would not process the return for me but asked that I must talk with Bose and return it myself. I had an issue with a headset that wouldn’t charge. The attendant checked it and quickly agreed. I was then given a brand new, identical headset. Good experience, my only suggestion is that I wasn’t offered help as quickly standing at the help desk as I was when I was roaming the shelves.

Visited in evening to do customer phone order pick up. Staff could not locate item 'on hold' but used initative to just source another one....lucky they had stock! The store is s bit tricky to locate in a shopping centre currently under renovation but easy to navigate once in.

After shopping their on boxing day, I keep getting fraud text saying that I won a draw by JB HiFi Camberwell. They know my full name and exact date when I shopped here. The only explaination is they got the my contact from the shop. Please protect customer information better.

Walked around looking at products for half an hour. Not one staff member came to ask if i needed any assistance? There were lots of staff. None serving customers. Just rearranging shelves. Perhaps they expect people to order online these days. If u want service go elsewhere.

It's funny how one staff member can nearly ruin an otherwise great experience. I don't know his name ,but aa older guy ,with glasses was so rude ,so disinterested it nearly made me leave. However another guy took over and it went so well from there.

I’ve had 2 separate times when the manager has gone above and beyond to help me. Dan also was there to help and support me, extremely helpful and nice. Very happy about this store, would highly recommend for prices and especially customer service!!

Service lacking (experience from 3 visits) and prices quite high in my opinion. Not going back. All three times ended up buying what I needed from officeworks, or Harvey Norman. It's a pity because jb camberwell is close to where I live.

Good selection of gear from all departments and very helpful staff. I went when they were in the middle of a refurb, and the staff member that helped me happily searched through a lot of stuff looking g for the item i wanted.

Purchased a set of headphones worth $200, Jabra Sports Coach, I thought it odd the salesman wouldn't let me hold the box at the time. I get home, the inner package had rips in it and there was wax in the ear buds. So dodgy!!!

This is a good place for elections, if seen in detail and deep in the store there are many more offers and if you need it and like it.. u can just get it . . . Otherwise bit expensive than usal.. u can check online rather.

Came all the way down from the other side of the city to grab a portable jbl which the staff confirmed over the phone I can get the one on display. but once I get to the store they refused to sell it. Very disappointed

You might get things cheaper online, but the warranty is sooo worth it here. The service was impeccable, the ease of replacing my item was excellent. I'm not one for taking risks, and jb hi-fi allows me to avoid risk.

This is a surprisingly large store for its location. Good range, and the staff know their stuff. Some of the best service of any JB Hig-fi store I've been to, most likely because it's a bit quieter here which is nice.

Spoke to someone called Maddie(?) about finding a recipt for a faulty soundbar. She was incredibly helpful and courteous - she patiently went through a months worth of receipts to find the right one. 10/10 service.

The staff here are not customer friendly. They also have limited knowkedge about products and are reluctant to follow up. James lacked enthusiasm and Lachie was run off his feet but he lacked the knowledge too.

Couldn't fault the team when buying a new Samsung TV. From sales expert Aidan, all the way to the storeroom staff who checked the contents of the box and carried it to my car. Great service all round.

probably one of the better JBs. good store layout.friendly staff..more choice in the DVD/BLU Ray section and never be afraid to haggle a bit if buying TVs or Audio .they are usually pretty flexible.
