I had ordered an item for click and collect online. I realised when looking through my phone outside the front that I had selected the wrong store. Unfortunately my order was to be collected at Castle Hill (inside of Castle Towers) and not here. Spoke to one guy in the sound dept, checked the computer, made sure there was stock and said, “no worries, you can collect it here”, just head down to the register area and explain the situation to them. Walked to the register and stood in the queue area. No customers there—three people behind the desk having a conversation about their personal lives. Took about 5 minutes to be noticed, I didn’t want to interrupt. After explaining my situation, a lady who claimed she was the store manager bit my head off and said, “no, we can’t do that. You selected a store for click and collect for a reason, you can’t just show up to any store!” I didn’t argue, just said “sorry” and went to leave. The first guy I spoke to in sound dept stopped me on my way out and questioned if I got everything sorted. I explained to him what the people at the counter said. He asked me to wait 5 mins. Comes back after being on the phone and hands me the product, walks down to the register himself and questions the staff members. They claim they “didn’t know” you could do that. He then explains the process to them. The guy apologised to me and said that the lady who claimed she was the manager, “hasn’t worked here long” and apologised for the wait and inconvenience. He also asked the lady to do the checkout process. The whole time she didn’t make eye contact or speak to me. Then threw the product onto the counter and walked away when she was done. Wow—never again for this JB. Five stars deserving for the kind gentleman in the sound systems area though.

thoughts about hiring scenarios may be rare but here was my experience based on what happened last month (July): i came in store a few minutes early, as recommended. the interview started 5 to 10 minutes later than expected which was fine. Me and the manager, dunno and cant remember his name, went out of the store and sat at a nearby public table with 2 chairs opposite each other. I expected an interview filled with professionalism but how wrong was i. The first handful of minutes was HIM waffling and rambling about the differences between Operations and Merchandising, wondered if i wanted a position in Operations as multiple people left that team but i wasnt interested and then he asked the questions of "Tell me about yourself." and "Why JBHIFI?" so suddenly as he slouched in the chair with his arms crossed like a rebel! He, in general, also asked me about my responsibilities of my role at another retailer. Shortly later, he answered a mobile phone call (mid interview)! The interview is coming to an end and he said "I will give you a call back in the next couple of days as I think you'll be a good fit for the merchandising team" and that he'll discuss it with the Merchandising coordinator alongside challenging me on taking on the role. Then in my head, i went "lol a couple of days? you know that wont happen! plus you have a few more interviews to go through and you have tens of other applicants you havent gotten back to." After all that, i left back to the car on the rooftop carpark and was like to myself "maaan, the twists in that interview and unprofessionalism was unlike the unsuccessful one i had in Hornsby". With all that being said, im lost for words on how unfun and how much of a waste of time that was

Horrible experience!!! In the last one month, visited JB Hifi hill centre twice. During the first purchase, the lady at the billing counter was border line shouting while processing the bills at lightening speed. Very stressful experience while making the payment and collecting the good. Alright, not a good idea to give 1 star just for this. Made another visit for a phone accessory which turned out to be out of stock. Asked a staff for help, he said will be there shortly. Never came back. Asked another staff who helped me look around and confirmed it was out of stock. I further asked them if they can route me to the store that would have it in stock. We walked towards the information desk. But suddenly he spotted a lady checking out QLED TVs. She didn't ask for help and was silently browsing. The staff walked away telling he will be back, which he never did. Clearly QLED and phone accessory prices do not match, but is this how you treat your customer? Walk away because there is a potential bigger buy. Reached out again to ask another staff and he gave me the required information. Just to find out the product is not available, I had to ask 4 staff, one of them never came back, another was busy, and the best of them walked away for the TV buyer, and finally the last one told me - they don't have it! Get your staff trained JB Hifi!!

I just visited this store to return a product that I picked up 4 days ago from same place(online click and collect order) as I wasn't satisfied with it. The staff in the counter immediately said they can't take back the product due to covid policy. I asked her where this policy was mentioned and she then said "not satisfied is not a reason for return" and the product should be unopened and unused. I said it didn’t make any sense as how they expect customer to not use the product to be satisfied or not satisfied. I also showed them the policy where it stated that the change of mind is acceptable. At this point, she said she will check with her manager and then accepted for the return as the manager was ok with it. In the meanwhile, I saw another customer making a return just next to me and that was accepted without questions. I was very offended and felt this sheer difference in processing a return is based on the skin colour. JB Hi-Fi should investigate this and advice staff of the policies and procedure clearly.

The staff in this store told me I had to send a product away to the manufacturer to be assessed. I was just outside of the store’s 90 day replacement policy. The product had a clear and major fault that should have been dealt with by JB Hi Fi. As a result I will never make another purchase in this store again and the recent influx of negative reviews is reflective of the poor management. I went to my local JB HI FI (Penrith Plaza) who were fair and reasonable and sorted out the issue without hassle in about 15 minutes. From ACCC website: If your business sold a product or service to a consumer, you cannot refuse to help them by sending them directly to the manufacturer or importer for a remedy. This applies even where the fault was caused by the manufacturer. You can approach the manufacturer or importer directly, however you will only be entitled to recover costs from them. You cannot demand a repair, replacement or refund from the manufacturer.

I really wish Google could allow zero star option. JB Hifi must have earned great profit during the pandemic as they are unwilling to pay any attention to little purchase. Pre-ordered a console game weeks ago and received a SMS to pick up the order this week. The staff checked my deposit receipt and asked me go back with one very simple reason "system error" despite I came all the way. However, when the reminding SMS came while I did not go to the store, would they think I had forfeited my order? Large businesses could always look down upon small purchase when they make profit. Just think about this before you pre-order anything and enter here. They will simply send a message to tell you to pick up and send you back with simple words. If you want more, refund is their answer. Never expect any service from their staff. They do not have and they do not want to have.

Bought a smartwatch as a present. They wanted to change the colour to black so I called the store asking if I could do this (smartwatch was never turned on, just packaging opened). Girl on the phone was rude and said no. Called another store and they said that I can do this but castle hill home was the only store close by with stock. So they called castle hill home store and explained. Went into the store and was served by the same girl who I spoke with over the phone. She was again rude whilst I was being very polite and she insisted that it was not possible to change the colour. I only managed to get this changed when the manager got involved. Retail stores are suffering from the economy and changing buying habits due to Covid and this is the type of customer service JB hi-fi are providing. I am going to be changing my tech store and stick to buying online.

Worst customer service experience ever. Bought floor stock and was missing some parts. I was promised the remaining parts but it was never delivered. They initially got the address wrong and I had to chase them up constantly to get updates on when the parts were going to be delivered. The staff was had rotating shifts so I could never get a hold of the person accountable for my order. I constantly had to remind them about my order and when it was going to be delivered. Never buy floor stock let alone relying on JB HiFi for reliable customer service. Would totally recommend you do your research ahead of time before considering buying from Jb Hi Fi.

Bought a washing machine here and just had delivery today. The whole process from instore information and help from staff plus their willingness to make a deal was great. The bit that was most impressive and totally unexpected was their delivery service. Super professional from organising the day, the communication before, on approach, installation and after follow-up. Other businesses could learn a thing or two from JB from their delivery service alone. The whole experience was top shelf. The only part which let them down is contacting the store to speak to someone in the department as it takes too long and potentially a sales killer.

I went to the store just before closing time, around 5:15 PM, to take advantage of a deal. When I tried to use my JB Perks coupon, the cashier said it couldn’t be added because it had to be scanned with my items. The cashier seemed rushed and not too keen on helping me, probably because I was the last customer. Feeling a bit let down, I paid without using the coupon. Later, I found out from another employee that the cashier could have added the coupon, but it would've meant redoing the transaction. I wish the cashier had either told me this or asked if I had any coupons to use. It wasn't the best experience, honestly.

Their service is incredible, love how they always reassure me and so updated with their knowledge there! Special thank you to the two guys who assisted me in getting a new and awesome deal plan with Telstra. Quick maths and they calculated and roughly estimated that I’m only paying $17.30 a month ($500 jb gift card with monthly fee of $59 RRP $69 12 month plan hence why I would be able to divide it like that, Technically I still pay for it but I think of it as a loan) Im certain that, that^ specific promotion is over now so please don’t hassle them about it but do check out their other new offers!

It took over an hour to get a refund today. I will never purchase from this jb store again. 1st visit was when they had the frenzy sale on no staff attended to us after being called which was over half n hour. However I purchased a hp laptop which I used on 2 ocassions then had to return, service again poor. I was given a new HP laptop to have the same issue again I phoned them & spoke to Ryan who was very helpful & said they could arrange another laptop or a full refund. Finally got back to the store today & as I said it took an hour to get the refund & leave the store.

Can’t believe how hard it is to buy a few things from here. Better off buying online. I just want to thank Irene. Who was supposed to be at the door checking people’s bag but was the only person to help me by unlocking an item so I could pay for it. She even announced over the mic for someone to assist a customer (me) but no one came so she had to quickly leave and help me. I gotta say all staff there, accept her are asleep A monkey would do a better job. And no they weren’t short staffed. Takes 2 secs to assist me. I don’t ask questions I just buy. Range is great. Service is good. I'm a bit of a "leave me alone and let me solve this myself" kind of bloke. But if you wind down the window and ask for directions, they help. More to the point, if buying something, say more than $100, I've found if you ask floor staff "what's the best price?" that they will offer an even better price than the display price. So I've overcome my "don't talk to me" attitude, especially when I'm close to a decision. And it just happens that all the staff are genuinely helpful and decent people anyway.... So it's a win-win.

All negative feedback about this store seems to be true. Customer service is horrible. I was cheated by this store, the sales told me that I have been given four years of warranty but when I looked at the receipt it said total of 3 years only Be mindful of buying anything fro this store I am calling these guys where they put me to endless waiting que Remember that Australia has no consumer protection law. Fair Trading is waste of time so dont think that you have any protection here in this country like USA

I have been there for a few times (Last one was yesterday). Yesterday was the worst experience that we had. My wife and I went there to buy a Galaxy Buds, getting served by a young man with a worst attitude you can expect from a sales person. He didn't want to listen to our needs just because English is not our first language and he wasn't patience enough to just listen. He treated us with sharp and impatience responses. My wife and I left the shop really upset and will never come back there.

Staff are a bit hit and miss. Some are great and some are just no interested in helping at all. They have a great range of course but when looking at phones, you can't even hold phones without the security locks on them to get a feel for them, which is absolutely ridiculous and they have phones in display that they can't sell you because they're out of stock but can't take the displays down because of some rule with suppliers. It's quite frankly misleading and annoying to customers

Avoid this JBHIFI store at all costs. The aftersales service is terrible and the manager (Tommy Morwood) will do everything in his power to avoid any responsibility/accountability. If you are around hills area, go to JBHIFI Rouse Hill and the manager there will go beyond his way to help you even if you bought products online or other stores. I have been using JBHIFI exclusively because of their warranty and after sales support alone but this store/guy doesn't have the same values.

I had a very bad experience when i bought my university laptop from them. They sold me a faulty laptop and when i returned it after 12 days, the manager refused to help me and excused covid for not doing exchange or refund. I had to request fair trading to intervene. There is no friendly and customer focussed manger in that store. This was the last time i shopped from them. zero star

Had some issues with an item that initially made me want to stop shopping at JB again but he helped me find a suitable replacement for a great price. Very impressed & grateful for his help.

The best thing about this place, apart from the friendly staff and service, is that no matter what you can get elsewhere(or even online) you can always negotiate a great deal with the slaes staff. I find that they always come in cheaper than Good Guys and Harvey Norman and usually have what I'm after. Returns are never an issue and the staff are always happy to help.

Great experience exchanging a lower spec model of a vacuum cleaner with a higher spec model for the same price. We bought the lower spec model without knowing that the higher spec model went on special the same day. The salesperson also didn't know. The store manager was really helpful in arranging the exchange when the situation was explained to him.

Called to check stock availability, first person said I will check for you, then let me wait for 10 mins then second guy asked the same question, then 5 mins later told me stock is not available and hang off the phone. I was served by Taylor a member of your staff on Friday 15th December who went out of his way to make things easy for me to replace the headphones that had developed problems. Garbage service. Walked in, looking at phones, 4 staff just chatting to each other, couldn't be bothered serving me. I was clearly a disruption to their Sunday morning chat. Went upstairs to Harvey Norman and made the purchase. Jb used to be good, but the staff clearly can't be bothered any more. Management needs a good kick up the backside.

The store did the price match for iPad 7 with Officeworks Black Friday deal. However the sales guy sneakingly sold me an iPad 6 instead. Be careful to shop in that store, especially with the sales guy who seems very experienced. The more experience they have, the more chance they can treat the customer as a fool.

It’s a Jb Hifi store to which is near impossible to find a staff member willing to help out. Went in there to purchase a $600 set of gaming headphones, stood there whilst two staff members spoke about there weekend and not offering to help. Walked out and bought online for cheaper. Win win.

Range and service very good. Always ask for a discount on bigger items and don't hesitate to look up competitors prices when in store to have them beaten. Only negative is pick up of large items, you need to walk a mile to get your goods and the signs directing you were down. Took ages.

Love this store! I was here trying to get an iPhone 13 Pro blue which was out of stock everywhere else. Alex served us and he couldn’t have been friendlier. He helped me with my purchase with a massive smile on his face and even got me the last phone in stock! Huge shoutout to him.

Good range options, fact that they were ready to better the price for a competition helped us a lot, staff is much more knowledgeable than The Good Guys store, who never bother about sale happening or not and just leave it to you to figure out things. Car parking available.

They are good at tricking customers. Don't buy their mobile plans. It is highly restrictive. Later on you can't add any add-on packs. Their sales reps won't tell you all details. Neither will they allow you to exit the plan (even with in 10 days) without paying penalty.

Great place for computers, laptops, cameras etc, but the TV sales reps are pushy and it feels like I am just a commission waiting to happen. The other reps, awesome. Bumped them up to 5 stars after I had a totally hassle free return of a vacuum bot that was a dud.

Great location, though limited stock. Its easy to get too and usually not that busy so always someone around to ask questions. If you after more options and stock check out another JB store.
