I have been a JB Hi-Fi customer for a number of years and visit this store often (approximately once every couple months) but it was mostly for click & collect or an ad-hoc purchase that is not to do with a mobile phone! I recently (3rd September) visited the JB Hi-Fi Hoppers Crossing stores to purchase a phone and had done homework, thus narrowing down my interest to two handset models. To my frustration and disappointment, not one staff member bothered to ask if I wanted some assistance or had any courtesy to say just a hello and suggest they will be able to help me in few minutes. I understand the difference between "being busy" and "show disinterest or apathy" i.e, if the store was packed & each JB employee were already helping multiple or atleast one customer. Sadly, that was not to be. It was quite the contrary, the store was neither full nor empty, there were about 4-5 JB staff near Phones section and putting up a show of teamwork by combining in 2's & 3's to assist 2 customers. While there was a steady stream of "browsing only" customers, it was not hard to notice 3-4 customers were waiting promptly hoping the JB staff shall realise they need not double & triple team any more and instead speak with customers who were waiting. After waiting for little.over 20 minutes, I had enough and chose to walk away.. Disappointed to see JB Hi-Fi starting to offer "Just another retail store shopping experience".

Deals are good priced but staff is very rude. I tried Sony headphones and asked a staff member to take out one from locked cabinet, waited 20-25 minutes, the guy pretending busy with other stuff, asked another guy, he was on toes already, then finally a lady staff whom I asked to take out a box of headphones for me, he replied rudely to me” I am busy” then after 10 minutes she was ready to assist me, and asked you really wanna buy these headphones, I told he that I have already tired these and wanna but one, she again asked “ are you sure you wanna buy?”I said I am not here to listen music, I wanna buy that’s way I am asking you guys since 30-35 minutes….. there was also an old P** head guy ( customer) who was interfering into our conversation when I was asking price for the headphones, he said $10 for these. I just ignored him. Then finally when I was at counter, the guy asked me again you really wanna buy? I was feeling frustrated when every staff was asking same question. I felt like I can’t afford to buy these headphones. Never wanna visit that store again. JB hifi Werribee seems better. If JB Hifi higher authority really wanna confirm this incident, they can check with their in store staff. This was my last visit to this store, of course will recommend not to visit this tote to my friends as well.

Extremely rude, ignorant and racist The worst customer service possible. Went to return a phone I bought a week before because of it was faulty. I was told that I couldn’t return it because I would’ve signed a paper work at the time of purchase saying that I wouldn’t be able to return it. The only problem was that I hadn’t signed anything, and I was never even told about this the paper before I bought the phone. When I asked her to produce the paper That I had allegedly signed she couldn’t and I asked for the manger and when manger came over and I asked Him to produce the paper that I allegedly signed and he couldn’t either. At this point because they had sold me a faulty and couldn’t produce evidence of the paper work, they got angry and threatened to kick me out of the store because I had caught them in a lie. They Did not inform me of my consumer right under the law and did not accept a refund for a faulty phone, which is illegal under The Australian Consumer Laws. I have filled a report with the ACCC and I will never make the mistake of ever shopping at this JB HI FI again. Extremely rude staff and ignorant manger

Terrible staff. Went there to buy a Sound bar during the Black friday and was apalled to be kept waiting for half an hour. And the staff who did attend had 0 knowledge on the product, and was infact bad mouthing many of them - i understand he was being honest - but didn't even recommned a better one as a replacement for the one that he was bad mouthing. I did end up buying one solely based on my research, and also because i had a gift coupon that had to be utilised, otherwise would have visited harvey Norman or preferred Appliances Online which offers a free delivery as well.

So i visited the store on Black friday. I expected the store to be busy. The staff were doing their best in servicing the customers. I went to buy a camera. The one i wanted was available in store. Jb hifi pricing was a bit higher. I was served by the store manager. I requested the manager to price match as somewhere else it was $200 cheaper. I was told that the price they have is the best and cannot reduce it further. I went to Altona Jb Hifi next day and showed the cheaper price and they matched it for me straight away without me asking to do so.

This place is my home away from home, is always open. This is my one stop shop for all things entertainment or technology. I needed a new printer usb cable and the store layout was good and easy to find the item I needed. There is always staff around to assist with any queries. They are friendly and very knowledgeable in regards to all the products that JB stock. The one thing that impresses me is that if there is a product they don’t quite know, they would get someone who knows. I recommend you try this store if you need anything.

JB is always the best place to buy TVs / consoles has a very small selection of actual HiFi gear (ironically?) Staff are cool and friendly The staff in the phone section REALLY want you to sign up for a Telstra plan (still cool and friendly, just come on a little strong with the whole 'please buy Telstra plans' bit) Trades games Annoying snake maze to get to check out, even when no people are queue. Always happy to price match, including sale prices in my experience.

I wanted a tempered glass screen protector. The sales guy recommended one that was $35. When I got home I found it was confusing to install. I soon realised it was a glass-look screen protector. Stupid deceptive advertising on the box. Yeah, it was plastic! Felt like a complete idiot having wasted $35. Because it was so confusing to install, I actually installed it on the wrong side so it was useless and I had to discard it. I could have avoided all this if the sales guy knew what he was doing.

Some staff in store are helpful. Going online to buy digital membership for Xbox failed on several occasions. Took many transactions out of my account. Still waiting for full refund. Apart from this incident I have shopped here for over 20years. Basically since it opened in Melbourne. Customer service number to call is a huge waste of time and I waited 4 hours with no response. Emails are mainly replied with a BOT that doesn't help you with the issue. Not the way it used to be.

Wasn't clear with my price match request. I had a product page from mwave and their team said mwave wasn't an Australian company which it is as per ABN lookup. Moreover they denied price match for a product which their online team approved and I just went in to apply multiple gift cards . They accused the online team of using mwave to price match. Shady guys here. Avoid . Update: went to another JB hi-fi and got the price match. Confirming these guys are just jerks.

As always JB Hi-Hi have a great range at great prices. Going in store is good if you need something quickly and you know what you want. When I went to the Hoppers Crossing store it was very busy and I was not able to find a staff member to check on a few things. The items I was looking for also seemed to be out of stock. While I'll keep using JB Hi-Hi as an option for my electronics shopping I think I will do more of it on-line and/or click & collect.

A great store located in an easy to access are. Parking can be a bit difficult so avoid peak times. This is not the fault of JB HI FI but it is definitely an annoyance. I would highly recommend that you call up and ask if they have a specific item in stock as I have, and more than once mins you, gone and what I was looking for wasn’t available. Overall it’s a good business and the staff are friendly, would definitely recommend.

Unfriendly staff. I odered t shirt, using my nearly expired perks voucher. I have the sms says ready to collect, but when I was there. They denied to give me the T shirt which is in store. The reason is they don't want to fullfil order which is using perks voucher. They cancelled my order. I asking why sent me sms to collect my order. It was wasting my time. I will never buy anything from this store any more. Waste my time

The staff at this JB Hi Fi Store is great. All the three Managers had been a huge help to me after a TV I ordered on line was supposedly “lost” by Toll. They helped me in sorting things out with the on line Customer Service, speeding up the process. Without their help it would have taken weeks more to resolve the issue. They provided an in store credit and they treated us very well when we bought the replacement TV.

The guy I spoke to in audio/headphones did a really excellent job to get me what I needed. There was a product I wanted which was a little hard to get but instead of taking the long complicated process of waiting and getting it from another store, he managed to get me a great deal on another pair of earphones I was looking at. Super friendly, very professional and definitely can recommend. Kudos to you brother!

When you come to buy something it's great, someone will attend to you in a couple of minutes. If it's for an issue with something you have purchased team members are not much interested and had to wait for 20 min even at not a busy time on a weekday afternoon. Also heard another customer coming for an after sales issue that software issues are not a real issue and should contact the manufacturer.

Went to buy Hisense u755hau, Rude Staff with attitude basically told not able to price match with appliance central as it is not in stock, found another website with stock. Staff just told will not be able to price match this tv at all, did not expect this from jb hifi. Have bought a lot of other items from jb hifi, will not buy anything from jb anymore. Totally not recommend this store.

Have been shopping here at JB Hoppers Crossing Old Geelong road for years and by far have always had the best experience out of all JB Stores. Management are brilliant and in particular Steve who is a genuine nice person and very helpful! The team has assisted not only me but my family with purchases many times now and always left very happy. Keep up the good work team!

Shopped here few days ago, not sure what the issue was with some of your staff, Customer service was poor and very unhelpful with their product knowledge/guidance. First time I actually experience such poor service at a jb hifi outlet, all others in the past have been great, but the staff here at the hoppers crossing store needs training with customer service.

Worst sales every. They made me wait for 20 min even after me telling which one product I want. Rude sales people, they are just interested in the commission. The sales guy came after 20 min when he heard some other sales guy will get his commission. He kept the product on the ground and just walked out. They need to learn how to treat people. ZERO STARTS.

Absolutely lovely staff every time I go in. I needed a new pair of earbuds this time and prefer the over-the-ear kind, which can be hit or miss in comfort. Nathan was super patient and friendly, took me through a few options, and we landed on a pair that was right in my price range and super comfy. I'll definitely be back when it's time to upgrade the tv!

That's fine that you don't have it but it would have been nice to get an explanation of how I could order it in or a bit more insight into the situation. Then never waited so long in line, only to realise they charged me the wrong price, so had to wait again. But was nice to see that had everything stock that we needed

Good service the guy approached us himself and offered advice on the many choices of headphones available. was pretty patient and answered all the questions. even got offered free extended warranty and a small token discount which was pretty awesome and an appreciated gesture. that's what I call customer service! highlyrecommended.

It's a JB store so not much to say. My only feedback is, maybe staff should stop chatting to each other while you're being served. It highlights that the customer is only a transaction. You can still make millions in profit and provide a great experience. This has happened at a number of stores, appears to be the culture of JB.

This time, i did an online purchase and they get it ready for my pickup like after half n hour. That was a quick service and my item was ready at the store once i reached there. It was overall great experience, and yeah on same day from pickup location i Saw 4 people picking up their orders and all of them were TVs, like mine.

Very poor customer service . Was given faulty tv and no one is willing to get back to be with an approval to swap it over. They keep you waiting for hours and this stores customer service is just shy of pathetic .all you get you hear is that we are are back logged even though they are fulfilling online orders within an hour.

Amazing staff help in the phone section, set up new phone plan on boxing day morning. The young girl was getting hassled in every direction, customers being rude, abrasive, demanding but she was nothing but professional. So impressed! One of the best retail staff members I've seen. 6 stars. She deserves a 5x her salary!

Very well stocked but almost impossible to get service. Every time I have come here I wander around for a long time before I manage to get someone to help. Staff never acknowledge you and can never be found. On the positive, they always have what i need in stock. If they had motivated staff their sales would double.

Usual electronic store. You can find tvs, laptops and all sort of gadgets including video games. Good thing, they match pricing from other stores,they give a separate copy to cover gift guarantees and exchange. This helps leave gift receipt with no price but an option for them to exchange. Wonderful.

I was super excited to purchase new speakers up until I asked for help. One of the workers literally power walked past me as if I couldn’t see him. When I tried to grab his attention the second time, he sternly said “I’m with a customer” without even acknowledging or referring me to another person.

Stock selection is pretty good, but considering you generally pay more there than you would online, you would expect not to have to wait 10 mins just to get your product security unlocked so you can take it to the counter and pay for it...
