Other than dealing with the salesman on the day, who was Brilliant - My experience from this point has in no way been a positive one. Purchased New TV on Weekend and had delivered Monday, Delivery drivers where rude, and appeared to have very little Care factor, My property has stairs at which one point I caught them dragging the TV up ! - Took TV out of packaging on following day, mounted, plugged in to find it had a display error and would not function (Suspect TV had been potentially damaged in Transit). Contacted store to be told it would have to be referred to Manufacture to go through warranty process as it was purchased over 48hrs prior Spoke with store manager who to be honest did not want to take any form of owner ship for the issue and advised "Somebody probably put their fingers on the screen, Have you got a 4wd, bring it back in and we can have a look and take it from there !" The unit is a 75" and weighs in excess of 100kg, and I dont have a vehicle large enough to fit this which is why I got and paid for delivery in the first place - Sure I will bring it back in ! Terrible after sales service This unit cost a substantial amount of money, was damaged out of the box so I am not interested in a repair and I want JB's to take ownership for this, arrange for a change over and deliver what was paid for Terrible after sales service

DO NOT SHOP HERE! I went in to buy a tablet while wearing a nice ironed shirt and had every worker offer me assistance even though there were other people in the store, the security even said hello to me in a nice manner when i had entered. HOWEVER, Two weeks later when I needed to buy a new cover for my Samsung galaxy s8+ after I had just woken up (I was wearing tracksuit pants and a jumper because it is winter) I was greased off by the security guard and followed throughout the store. She made me feel very uncomfortable and made me feel like a criminal (it's the short lady of Indian descent) and despite the fact that there were 2 other customers and 6 workers in the store, and as much as I attempted to make eye contact with the workers who were standing around and talking I recieved no assistance and wasn't even asked if I needed any. To the owner and manager of the store, is this how you train your staff? To generalise people by how they appear? Just so they can make their sales rep targets? I can only imagine how many customers you guys have lost because of these kind of reasons and it is quite unfair on everyone to be recieving this treatment. I hope something is done about this.

I've already wrote about JB Hi-Fi as a whole but I would like to give special mention to this particular store for a replacement they did a few months ago. I had bought a pair of earphones damaged the filter when trying to replace the ear buds. I had explained this to them and admitted it was my fault but they still offerred me a replacement. I would like to display my gratitude because of this. Beside from that, the store has sereved me well over the years and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for electronic goods. NOTE: one thing that some people do but I don't see enough doing is that you can get a better price for goods by asking salesmen in the store for better prices. Nearly every single time i've gotten discounts and over time I have saved a considerable sum because of this. This also drops the price below other competitors so making your choice on which store to buy stuff from can become easier as well.

Rubbish Terrible, ive gone through 3 drones from this brand (Aerodex) the first 2 were the micro drone. They were all rubbish. One broke after a few hours. The second one flew away when I pressed the "return home" button - and even though the manufacturer acknowledged that pressing the button does cause the drone to fly away, it was my fault because you are supposed to "hold on the button" (although ot doesn't say anything about the drone flying away in the manual). The 3rd one (wont even charge). Wont biy this rubbish again and wont shop at JB hifi again as they dont look after their customers. I posted the above review under the product I purchased on the JB Hifi website, then received an email saying the review was rejected. Goes to show you can't trust the reviews on their Website because they will not put them up if they dont like what you have to say. Disappointing.

Visited at the weekend after purchasing a dishwasher online, then having that order cancelled, due to being sold out. Annoying, but it happens I guess. Purchased the very same dishwasher as floor stock. Got a text Monday, saying my order would be delivered that day. Still waiting. Call from some random person this afternoon saying it will be delivered tomorrow, but no confirmation, no time, just a person who sounds more confused than I am about where the heck my new dishwasher is. Where the heck is it folks? Paid twice, no refund yet, and no delivery. AITJ? Update their delivery service is actually no service, zero communication that means my delivery will be a fail AGAIN today!! Staff in the store doing their best but a text message asking me to be home when the driver is 6 minutes away is completely USELESS.

Pre ordered 2 phones Online for click and collect at thomastown, online it had in stock and that I'll be able to pick it up on release date, I get a email 6 days later 1 day before release stating that there's not enough stock and I'll have to wait for the next shipment. 2nd time this happens they always seem to sell more then the stock they have because the website is absolutely rubbish and is always wrong. I call them and the guy says there's 1 phone here from my order but not the 2nd however when i ask to come pick it up he starts blabbering that they can't give me half the order and how it has to be all together. And then puts me on hold comes back and says actually both phones aren't here. Absolute rubbish never shopping with jb hi fi again take your business somewhere else for peace of mind.

Recently purchased a Fenix 6x pro. Unfortunately after trying a friends on I realised it was too big for me, so before opening mine I went to return for another model. I chose the Fenix 6 pro solar, but again unfortunately for me there were none left anywhere in Victoria ! After speaking with multiple staff members and even requesting help from management, in what seemed like an eternity, I was told I would have to wait months and that it potentially wasnt even going to be possible to get the watch that I wanted :( But thanks to Russell, he was swiftly able to organise a watch for me to be shipped from a store interstate. He was quick, helpful, accommodating and an absolute gentleman ! If it wasn't for Russel, I simply would have walked out of the shop unhappy with the result.

Hi I had a great day shopping for a notepad, case and cover, all was smooth salesman seemed excellent as they do when purchasing, but got home and thought about all the times I have bought a phone from Optus or Telstra and they automatically put screen covers on when purchased, so I went back and asked the staff at JB.HI FI and they said "oh no we don't do that" So I rang up and acted as though I was thinking of purchasing one if they would do it, and so I knew they don't touch them at all, I thought if they don't touch them how am I going to get it right? Anyway cut along story short I went to a phone Kiosk the first one said no, and the second one said for a few dollars and you waive me I will do it. Job done to perfection . JB I call you out for being dishonesty?

Customer service is NONEXISTENT. I just went here to buy a Joby tripod. And 2 canon batteries. Walked out with a random tripod and no batteries because NO ONE will ask you if you need help. Especially when it’s so obvious and you’re standing in middle of the store in front of 5 workers. I expressed to the cash register girl that I was disappointed I got no help finding the items I needed, and she replied with “IM SORRY YOU FEEL THAT WAY!” Shocked is too weak of a word to express how I feel. And to make matters worse… There were 6 workers standing behind her and not a SINGLE person apologized, even after I hinted how they should acknowledge their mistake. This location prior to December 2020 was PERFECT! Idk what happened. SMH.

On principal I wouldn't spend a dollar in this store. Went in tonight with the intentions of buying a new television and left with no TV and a negative experience. Was greeted by security and then ignored for 20 minutes as I traipsed around the TV department. I approached one staff member who looked me in the eye then quickly averted his gaze to ensure he wouldn't need to assist me. I ended up checking reviews of TV's on my phone for a bit then decided I wouldn't even bother with the store. I'd suggest you go elsewhere if you want any type of service. To JB, please check your CCTV to confirm my sentiments.. I'm the bald guy with a black jacket. 5:20pm 11th June 2019.

Very happy with the service I got today I had faulty TV bought of jb in April when online lodged a warranty claim with in ten mins i got a call from one of the staff member give me two options one is to return the TV and exchange for different one due to the tv I have not in stock or wait for service man to come out i choose to replace so placed a order for a new one while i was packing up the old tv for return got email saying the new tv is ready for pick up i then dropped the old one off pick up new tv All THIS IS DONE WITH IN 2 HOURS DUING STAGE 4 RESTRICTIONS could not have asked for better service well done jb hi thomanstown thanks you

At least two staff members were not wearing masks correctly. Their masks were below the nose, which was totally ineffectual. Also they allowed customers to come in not wearing masks. Healthy looking young men who were smiling to themselves and did not look like they needed a medical exemption. Was going to purchase something for five hundred dollars, but no staff looked at my direction or came to help me with my questions. They were too busy happily talking amongst themselves. But thinking about it, that was actually a good thing so I would not stick around in their unsafe environment.

This isn't so much a review of the store as it is of one of the JB Thomastown staff members. After placing an online order I found the stock wasn't available, but asked the Thomastown store if they could assist in arranging pickup from a different store. Emma went out of her way to call around different stores and managed to procure stock for me within about 10 minutes, despite me not even asking her to do so. Amazing service and a huge thank you from me to you, Emma. I hope management sees this as Emma deserves to be called out for her exemplary customer service. Thank you.

Bought a PS4 game in Feb, and was told I would be contacted when it was ready for pick up. Did not receive any communication from them. Contacted them in May end, and they said that it has been ready for pick up for a while. An employee called again saying it’s been ready for pickup since April and now they were wondering if I plan to pick it up at all since it was a large amount of money. On pick up they proceeded to comment that it was strange the store manager did not send out the message for pick up.

Bad service. You won't be acknowledged and you'll have to seek assistance actively. I called in advance to see if they had some pc speakers and could do a price match, they told me to come into store. I went in, the guy who served me after finally finding someone told me they had none in stock (probably didn't want to match the competitor), even though the website said it's available IN that store and the speakers are on display... Thanks for completely wasting my time.. your tactics are pathetic

I bought the Logitech G560 speakers.. 2 weeks later for some odd reason they stopped working even when plugged into the wall power socket.. However, very impressed with Danni at Thomastown Store!!! Straight swap over which I needed urgently for work purposes, came home and they worked right away! Danny is very respectful, a sharp shooter and provided the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I've ever experienced! 5 Stars is an understatement. Thank you Danni much appreciated! Not bad. Very friendly staff in here. I went here to by some movies with the 30% off sale. Good selection, but a strange set up in the movie section. All the blu rays, DVDs and 4K are kept in separate sections in alphabetical order, which intuitively make sense. But then they have this separate horror movie section with only DVDs, no blus. Doesn't make much sense to me to sort it that way. They should just put all the horror movies in different formats together like the other stores do.

Not happy. Treated like a criminal for not having a receipt when returning my broken tv. Was given wrong information about having receipt on the phone then in was abused for not having receipt. I tried explaining the situation when they started getting abusive and threatening to call the police. Eventually they found the receipt. And they gave me my money back. As i left the store i was told bluntly and rudely never to return to the store or they will have the police escort me out.

I got two cameras from this store. Came across a minor problem, due to my lack of knowledge of products. Pierre was patient and most helpful. It was a pleasant experience. The security check gets a tad bit annoying. I popped in and out of the store a number of times within a very short amount of time. The lady saw us walk in, and we were talking to the staff right in front of her, with the JB bag we came in with. Still checks for the receipt, every time. But overall, very pleased

Went in with faulty headphones on 27th May 22. Staff at the counter were friendly and happy to assist. Staff were customer focused, offered me refund or replacement options. I decided to buy a different set of headphones. When purchasing & deciding on replacements, I was assisted by Trevor, who helped me out by going through the verious deals, options available. Excellent service, Trevor went above and beyond in helping me. Thanks Trevor.

Man where do I start the whole store is literally amazing, the nicest staff ever known to man. All of the staff are amazing but if you ever have the pleasure of coming across Dylan you will be left speechless, this guy truly went out his way to assist me in choosing a new laptop for uni, even when the store was busy he took the time to ensure I felt satisfied with my decision. These stores have a wide range of products. The JB Hi-Fi claim 'Always Cheapest Prices' is a misnomer. They have some great deals but other than that the consumer has to do the hard work. Do your homework before visiting - JB relies on price matching to keep to their claim. If you can prove that a competitor has a lower price on the same item by presenting a copy of an ad or WebLink they'll better it by a smidgen.

Went to buy a new phone and ask the staff if they do a price beat as it is common for business if there competitor's are selling the same product for less price. The staff member gave me a grumpy look and went to check with his manager which I highly doubt they discussed anything and bluntly said no we can't do price beat. Better use Harvey Norman next door which atleast has better customer service.

I was promised delivery would be on the Monday, so I took the whole day off work because they "couldn't give a time of day", then finally at 4:40pm on the Monday I get a phone call telling me its the next day. So now I've lost two days of work thanks to them! ARGH! So frustrating. They'll tell you whatever you want to hear in the store to get your sale. I'm pretty disappointed by their service.

Staff there are rude, unhelpful and arrogant. I asked for some advice and assistance with simply an IPad cover to match my iPad and the girl there had no idea. She asked another male staff member and he just could not be bothered with answering simple questions. I left the shop and went straight into Harvey Norman who gave me friendly and helpful advice. I was helped by Edward on 25/6/20 around 6pm. One of the best services I have experienced. He was knowledgeable and even helped me look up reviews and gave extremely good advice. And he went out of his way to call up another store to check if I could pay at thomastown but pick up at epping so that I would get the whole package of what I needed. Staff ignored me when I needed help they need to be more attending and more welcoming especially if your in the retail industry , waited a bit for someone to acknowledge that I needed help even asked but was ignored a couple of time. This was by far the worst experience I've had at any JB its either you get your staff onto it or just put ear muffs so I know there not being rude.

Whilst I did find I was waiting quite a while on the floor before someone attended to me.... when the guy came up to me... he was friendly, very attentive, new his products well and helped me pick out exactly what I needed. I was disappointed of their phone customer service on 1/3 2022. A male assistant answered my questions about tablets though, he sounded like he couldn’t be bothered, he didn’t even finish the conversation properly ( like is there anything I can help?) the call finished literally in one minute and he hung up the call abruptly. I drop in thinking I’d quickly pick up an order I placed. But no I was starred down but their undercover security guard, then my order had been mixed up, I had my ID and details checked half a dozen times like I was trying to pick up someone else’s order. second time ive been to this store looking to spend $1000-$15000 each visit. and second time ive walked out without spending a cent. near impossible to get any customer service. i guess your floor staff have no interest in making sales. but to their credit, both times i visited have been quiet with virtually no other customers in the store.

Went to buy an action camera with very little knowledge abt the product. They had a variety of products available. Eddy, the customer assistant was amazing, spend a lot of time explaining products specifications. He was so patient and friendly even though the store was busy and understaffed. Front door security was welcoming with a smile.

I went in to buy a vacuum cleaner. I had pretty severe decision paralysis, but a lovely human named Lily helped me for quite a long time. Not a bad experience. I brought a Sonysoundar $199.00. Good value for money and exceptional quality. But 1 fault , I asked the salesperson did it have all the cords , he said yes there in the box. I said does it have the hdmi cable he said yes . But when I got home no hdmi cable luckily I had a another 1. Are well that's life.

One of the staff members who served me at the counter was rude and unfriendly. She had blonde hair that was tied up and I believe her name was Emma. When I asked her a simple question, she would respond in an abrupt or condescending manner. It was an uncomfortable experience and I expected more friendlier customer service.

Jbhifi needs to lift their game as of customer service and support. I have been waiting on shop floor for 10mins to get served, it's not that staff are busy with other customers but just got ignored, me after wandering around shop for next 10min, fortunately got served. The JB staff was very nice and helpful but the security guards working there were highly unprofessional and extremely rude. They have no idea how to treat customers and they refused to call the staff members or manager when you ask them. The female security guard was just shockingly rude and terrible at her job.

Worst service, employee of JB walked past me 5 times, looking into my eyes and ducking not to help me, I looked at 3 people including me asking for service , i was only there 10 min. Seems like too much chatting and social and not enough assisting customers. I walked off and went for Autobarn for car Audio.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful despite the fact that it was boxing day and they must have been getting smashed all day for annoying customers looking to spend their cash and Christmas vouchers. Great range of products but as is always the case at a JB Hi-Fi store, there isn't enough space to comfortably move around and finding a staff member for help or advice is way harder than it should be. Because of these factors it's not a chain of stores I frequent unless absolutely necessary.

Went to go buy a 4K blu Ray movie, was told by staff that if wanted to buy it it’s full whack and if I’m sure I want to buy it? leaving me feeling offended as if I cannot afford it and was told theirs no difference in the 4K version. Lack of knowledge and always unable to have good service.

Bought a dvd player and remote was dead. I took it back, they offered me new dvd player and i asked them just to check the remote. It was the new batteries were dead so they replaced them for me. Good to know they would exchange for brand new replacement even though was not necessary..

JB was busy when I visited, certainly enough staff to help everyone. Only issue was ladders and other equipment left out and unattended, both in the way and in positions where children could have climbed in them. Service was good though, not many people in line and served quickly.

Absolutely amazing service! Got headphones from Razor (Kraken V2) which had a broken left ear speaker. Took it back the next day, not only did they let me choose a different headphone set, they let me have a pair for $200 at the same price as the kraken! amazing!

Perfectly fine for a JB! Helpful staff. They will routinely try and upsell you on an extended warranty like it's 1966 and we don't have adequate consumer rights to protect buyers, but it's a bit cute and quaint to see a place still try in 2021.

Like any JB it's got great prices and a good range of gear, but like any JB it took me about 15min to buy the item I wanted (and I knew exactly what that item was). Alas I think they (all, not just Thomaston) need more floor staff.
