The JFK Memorial is surreal experience like no other. As a big time history nerd, I've read all about and watched countless documentaries regarding JFK's assassination as well as the memorial dedicated to him in downtown Dallas. Being there where unfortunate history was made left me with few words. And reflected back on it, it's still hard for me to find words to describe the experience. Regardless, it is a must see whenever you are in Dallas. The "X" signifies the spot where the car was when President Kennedy was shot and the ast window on the 2nd row on the furthest right is where Oswald made his shot that changed the history of our country in 1963. You can go in the building and view the room as it was in 1963 when Oswald left it. Whether a history buff or not, if you are in the vicinity of the JFK Memorial, you definitely should go!
I was staying in the city and thought it would be a stoic place to visit and I was right. It was 7am and it was absolutely quiet with only city workers in the area. Not a scrap of paper, a leaf or any other debris at this memorial. A city worker had just come through to ensure it was pristine. I was able to read each inscribed marble stone and even sit for a moment. It was peaceful and reading the inscriptions in today’s times, really made me think about how much we could benefit from a man like JFK now. If you are staying local, take a few minutes, get a coffee or a baked item, sit and enjoy the scene and the peace before the hustle and bustle of the day.

The hubs and I were visiting downtown Fort Worth so I figured we'd spend a few minutes at the JFK memorial. Overall, it's well done and created for pedestrian traffic. The memorial space is large enough for you to sit for a moment and think about the impact of JFK. The concrete benches are part of the memorial circle. There's a lot to read and images to view. We were there about 15 minutes. I would highly suggest visiting this memorial as part of a local walk or while staying in the downtown Fort Worth area.

The JFK Tribute memorial signifies the life & presidency of John F. Kennedy. The memorial was made to honor & remember his stay in Fort Worth before he traveled to Dallas on November 22, 1963, which would become a day many Americans would never forget. Featured at the memorial are quotes from Kennedy, some pictures of him, a background of his history, & a statue of him. A great place to be to remember one of America's greatest Presidents.
As long as I been in texas it was my first time seeing this and it was really beautiful and I would like to see it again. They also have a place behind it to sit and have lunch or right beside it is places to sit also and look at it or take in the view or the flowers.

Despite the 107-degree heat at 7 p.m., I took a quick tour of Fort Worth downtown and stumbled into the JFK memorial. This memorial can help you reflect and think about "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

This is a special place with historical relevance and a feeling of a most honorable ground. The memorial captures a moment in history that connects the dots to a fateful day that cannot be forgotten. I will leave it there for you to explore, other than to say I was moved by the experience. FOLLOW ME for more thoughtful recommendations as I travel the world
Outdoor space easily handicapped accessible. There are tons of pokestops and a gym if you are po goer. There are park areas on both sides of the street. The tribute has a life sized statue of JFK, pictures from his visit to Fort Worth and other information. It is kept in nice repair. There are no public rest rooms or other facilities on this site.
The world lost a great man 59 years ago. We never know what the difference a day can make in our lives, and this Memorial can help you reflect and think about what you can do for this country instead of ask what this country can do for you.

If you add this to a list of activities to do while you're exploring downtown Fort Worth, you'll want to see it. I actually prefer this memorial over the Dallas memorial, as this feels more meaningful. However, if you're are only visiting Fort Worth to see this memorial, I wouldn't recommend it unless you live close by.

OK this ain’t much but it is a beautiful, respectful tribute to the slain president and also a little creepy when you from the photostats realize that you stand on the exact place where president Kennedy gave his last public speech. Only a few hours before he was assassinated.
When I went here and saw JFKs statute it was sad. Just then, I heard a voice in my head say "Ask not what your country can do for you but what I can do to your wife." It was then I remembered what a utter womanizing do nothing President he was. Sad but true. . .
Thanks to the historic walking tour, this really came to life. I'd love to see a QR code with additional information... About his first visit... And so much more. Maybe you could coordinate with the tour guides.
JFK meant a lot to the people of Fort Worth and Dallas. We'll be bearing the touch for the fallen leader for a lot longer than anyone else. It's sad, but there are lessons to be learned.
Wish it had a cover/awning, the sun is too hot to stand there

A nice little memorial to JFK. Near where he made his last speech and stayed for the night before heading to Dallas.
Formally known as The Texas Hotel where President JFK stayed his last night before being assassinated in Dallas
This is a must visit in town. Lots of information about JFK and historical places to visit around the tribute.
Historical place, kinda cool to walk around. Restaurants around, convention center across the street.
It tends to get overlooked that JFK had been in Ft Worth before driving the motorcade through Dallas.
Very interesting to hear the details of where JFK spent his last night, the hotel in the background.
Very nice memorial and statute. Nice place to spend a few minutes to learn a little more history.
The day of his death was the 1st time I saw my mother cry following the death of a president.
We will never forget. My dad tells me the story of the day JFK drove through Fort Worth.
Great place to Ingress in downtown Fort Worth - come see us for Ingress First Saturday
